The 10 Best Restaurants Around Virginia-Highland - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"This Thai staple is one of our favorite dining destinations in the whole city. Though the look (gold walls, an active bar near the front door) hasn’t changed much since the Bush administration, neighborhood regulars are cool with that because their subtly sweet Thai barbecued chicken has remained one of Atlanta’s most consistent dishes for just as long. If you’re in the mood for something a tad lighter, mix the basil- and napa cabbage-filled shrimp curry with the sticky rice for a meal that’s just shy of sublime." - demarco williams, juli horsford, nina reeder

Flavorful Thai foods with convenient, quick, friendly service There's only street parking so choose wisely. It was really dim inside but lots of seating. We got chicken pad Thai and Penang curry with pork. One bowl of rice wasn't enough for the curry, but it was fragrant and tasty. We asked for level 2 spice for both, but it wasn't spicy at all (no kick or heat)!

Nom Tok Beef! Yummy! I decided to try the duck instead of my favorite panang curry. I found it a little high on grease by itself. Rice and the sauce helped. The vegetables were steamed and not mushy which is just my preference. This was a Sunday at the noon opening. Street parking is free on Sundays and holidays. The parking lot behind if paid all day every day. They will boot your car.

I just had my first-ever experience with Thai cuisine at Surin of Thailand, and I must say, it was absolutely fabulous! From the moment I sat down, I was blown away by the warm, inviting atmosphere and the exceptional service. The food was incredible—each dish bursting with rich, authentic flavors that made it hard to pick a favorite. The bartender deserves a special shoutout as well! The drinks were not only delicious but crafted with such care and creativity that they perfectly complemented the meal. For a first-time Thai food experience, Surin of Thailand has set the bar incredibly high. I can’t wait to come back and explore even more of the menu. Highly recommend this spot if you're looking for great food, amazing drinks, and a memorable dining experience!

I can't understand how this restaurant doesn't have a better rating. The food is flavorful and authentic. The kitchen is however conscious of spice levels - any dish can be made spicy but if you do not ask, they will prepare it as mild. I ordered everything mild so that I could taste the nuances in the curries and meats. It was delicious. So much so that I returned a few days later and order things spiced up. Equally as good, great presentation, and the wait staff is constantly checking on you to make sure everything is perfect. Really enjoy this restaurant and I'm glad I tried them out!

We wanted some Thai and wanted some close so we gave Surin of Thailand a try. It was a great experience overall. We were seated right away and ordered pretty quickly. I ordered a Ginger Martini which was amazing. Highly recommend trying it as it has fresh ginger. For dinner I ordered the Pad See U ($16) and it had been a while since I’ve had pad see u and this hit the spot. The restaurant itself is a bit lackluster but with a few art pieces it can definitely be a little more cozy. I would definitely return if you are looking for great Thai food.

Drunken noodles (spicy noodles) to go!! Absolutely delicious!! I requested mild. Some of the best I’ve ever had and I’m addicted to Thai.

Google
I ALWAYS get the Succulent Catfish dish at Surin but decided to switch it up. I got the Thai Noodle (pad Thai) and it was delicious! I also found my new favorite drink... the Peach-tini! Soooo good.

Surin of Thailand is one of my Atlanta go-to food destinations serving authentic Thai cuisine with a focus on the freshest local vegetables and meats. But Surin also feels like a community, where the wait staff knows you by name and you get to engage at the bar with interesting people. Surin is located in Virginia Highland at the intersection of N. Highland and Greenwood Avenue. The owners of Surin also own Ocean Wave (Harry & Sons) in the same neighborhood and 4 Thai restaurants in Alabama. Surin has been serving Atlanta since the 1990s. It is not the most modern interior, but it has a comfortable feel. Customer service is always top notch. The chefs are also able to accommodate spice level preferences. We ordered: Drinks: Cucumber Martini, Lemon Drop Martini, French Cosmopolitan, Margarita Appetizers: Moo Yang (char-grilled pork loin), Spring Rolls Mains: Ka Proud Lamb, Sweet & Sour Chicken, Thai Barbecued Chicken Surin’s martinis are epic. All of them. I have not had a bad one, and I have enjoyed quite a few. I can personally recommend the Soho Lychee, Ginger, French Cosmopolitan, and Lemon Drop ones. My friend also enjoyed her margarita. The spring rolls are your standard fare for a Thai restaurant. I enjoyed my moo yang, as it was well seasoned. I have also enjoyed their Chicken Larb, Thai Beef Jerky, and Thai Style Chicken Wings. I love their Thai Barbecued Chicken, and someone also orders it anytime we are here. The marinade is so tasty and the chicken is always tender. The Sweet & Sour Chicken is my friend’s go-to dish. I actually appreciate them serving the sauce separately from the chicken, as it allows us to enjoy the chicken’s crispiness. The lamb chops are prepared medium and are tender and flavorful. I really like the chopped bell pepper, basil, and onion sauce that accompanies the lamb chops. Their fried rice is very solid as well. I also recommend their Spicy Coconut Soup, Thai Spicy Basil Fried Rice, and Prik King. I have been meaning to try the Succulent Catfish and their curries.

Yelp
Surin Thai is hands-down one of our favorite spots! We always order the spicy coconut soup, nam sod, paneng curry with beef, and pad see u--and every single dish is consistently amazing. The flavors are bold, fresh, and comforting, and we always leave satisfied. A special shoutout to Donal, our go-to server, who is always friendly, attentive, and makes the whole experience even better.

Yelp
I honestly don't know what has taken me so long to write a review. I've been coming here for about 12 years and for the last 1-2yrs, I'm there 1-3x/wk. (no, that's not an exaggeration). The food is CRAZY good, the drinks are amazing and the staff.....WONDERFUL! Shoutout to Sebio! The vibe is cheers-y like everybody knows your name (or at least your face). I'm not sure why they have anything less than a 5-star rating but hey....come see for yourself. Tell them Chrissy sent you. I don't get discounts or anything, just want them to know it was me! Lol

Yelp
I came to Surin of Thailand with some friends for a Friday night dinner. Parking in Virginia Highlands is always a little tricky but you can usually find street or residential parking. We were seated immediately upon arrival and our waiter was helpful with making recommendations. We decided to order the crab rangoons, spring rolls, chicken larb, and drunken noodles with chicken. The appetizers were alright, and the larb and drunken noodles were delicious! Overall, standard but solid Thai spot.

Yelp
BEWARE!!!! do not go here! they are in with the booting company and will make you sit 2 hours or more so that your car gets booted!!!!!!! I had to pay 75$ while they watched out of the window .

Yelp
Happy customer! I'm a little surprised the reviews aren't better. Granted, this is my first experience with Surin, but my meal was delicious. I ordered takeout green curry with tofu and veggies (medium spice). The herbs, the heat, the smooth, sweet coconut milk, it all hit the spot. Thai is one of my favorite cuisines and this did not disappoint. The pricing for the portions seems on par with similar places around town. I'll definitely come back for round 2.

Yelp
We were seated without a reservation on a Monday before NYE so very grateful. I'm a faithful Yelper and I like to read reviews from past guests to get an idea of the service and food level of a business. I was pleasantly surprised with the service of Surin of Thailand. I wasn't super hungry so I came for the fellowship with friends but stayed for the drinks. Whoever is their bartender is freaking amazing. Everyone in my group ordered martinis of some fashion but the star was the Lychee Martini's. I think we eventually ordered 10 in yoga at the table excluding other drinks they were that good. I'm a huge soup guy so I ordered the Wong Tong soup which I believe is meant for 2 but I think for 1 since I ate it alone lol. I also ordered a side of wings. Everything I ordered was amazing and the soup could have used more flavor but it was still very delicious. I would definitely comeback to Surin and will definitely be on my list next time I'm in town. If anything I'll come just for the drinks and an appetizer.

Yelp
Met a friend at the restaurant and sat at the bar, I order Pad Thai and it was simply amazing, I was surprised at the quality of the item because I was not certain about the quality based on ambiance but I will say I was not disappointed by the taste, quantity, or quality. The bartender was also pretty entertaining so I recommend if you're in the area give this place a try. They are customer focused and will not disappoint. The parking at this location could be limited but it is worth it. I will certainly visit again.

Yelp
First thing to mention is the pricing. After years of going here the prices have remained the same and the quality has stayed. Expertly made meals with immense flavor every single visit. This coupled with awesome cocktails makes for an exceptionally enjoyable time. The staff is upbeat, formal, and they are polite. The interior is deceptively simple while remaining ornate and beautifully designed.

Yelp
Idk why people think this is not good because this is classic and delicious Thai food First it is so well priced. I'm tired of over priced Thai food that tastes like it should be $10 less. This was perfect. We ordered take out and could not have been happier. The food was piping hot and servings were generous For apps, we got the crab angels and egg rolls. Egg rolls were okay but the crab rangoons slapped For the mains, we got panang curry with tofu, pad see you with shrimp, spicy noodle with tofu and fried rice with shrimp and they all slapped. Portions were great spice levels were awesome. Honestly could not have been better. Please see my bowl of mixed goods from our take out :)

Yelp
I used to love Surin of Thailand, but I'm not sure what's been going on with their food since the pandemic. I keep hoping that the food will be as great as they once were. I decided to write a review after numerous unpleasant meals, especially after the one I had today. I made the mistake of ordering two Pad Thais to go (one for my partner and one for myself). If you're going to charge about $15 for each entree, please don't serve garbage. It was absolutely the worst Pad Thai my partner and I ever had. The noodles were slightly slimy, the shrimp (only two pieces) smelled so fishy and wasn't clean, and the chicken was very dry. I was also surprised that the restaurant charged me an extra $2 because I asked for hot sauce on the side. I'm done with this establishment, but I hope in the future it's able to regain its glory days.

Yelp
My first time actually dining in. A slow Monday night: (1) Thai bbq chicken: less bbq taste more like rotisserie chicken. A bit too sweet for me; (2) green curry: the fried tofu wasn't firm enough for me. But it was yummy; (3) coconut milk soup: decent and came with a lot of mushrooms.

Yelp
My Favorite place!! I moved out the area and still show up min 2 times a month! amazing food ~ awesome drinks- excellent service! They never disappoint even when I try something new!! Must try & you'll be hooked!!

Yelp
Surin of Thailand, this is not a fancy restaurant. It used to be a little more polished, but the tablecloths are gone and so are the cloth napkins but it's still a good food at a reasonable price. The bar has become quite lively, and I like that the green curry is my go to along with the Siren baskets and the dumplings. Virginia Highland staple.

Kelly J.

Yelp
I really like Thai food. The atmosphere was nice and trendy. The drinks a little small for the price. I am used to street Thai food from my childhood so this came close. I had the spicy noodle dish was good but a little dry. The papaya salad was good though

Yelp
This was my first time here in a LONG time and the food is still pretty solid. We came as a group of 6 and had a reservation for 6 pm. I was surprised at how busy it was inside b/c I assumed that we were eating on the earlier end. It took some time to get menus and order drinks, but that was totally fine bc we had great conversations. It was not overly too loud so we could hear each other talk. I had the lychee vodka martini which was delicious and served a lychee for decor. Cute idea! The other drinks ordered in our group were the basil margarita and some red and white wine. The drink prices were about average, but the size was perfect! For apps we got spring rolls and rice paper rolls which were just ok. Nothing special. For dinner, we ordered: Panprik curry green curry with tofu Masaman chicken tofu pad Thai and tofu pad see hew The portions were a decent side and the flavors were great. I had the pad see hew and it had some large pieces of broccoli and fried tofu. The noodle were thicker than I usually have them, but the sauce brought all of the flavors together. Our server, lee, was great! She was so nice to speak to.

Yelp
We as a family go at least 3 times a month sometimes more the food is Always good he manager is a real nice guy They have a new waitress that I find to be very rude a person in our group did not tip to her satisfaction and she confronted our friend Said to her I work for tips and what you gave me isn't enough She ordered shrimp friend rice Maybe she didn't have a lot of cash but members i our group gave her more so she would stop asking for more money from our person in our group I completely understand they work for tips but to embarrass someone like that isn't except able

Yelp
I so wanted to enjoy this restaurant -- it's within bicycle distance of my house and I've passed by dozens of times. It was not to be. After stopping at the Saturday farmers market, my partner and I biked over to Surin and were among a handful of diners waiting for the restaurant to open at noon. Keep in mind that partner is Canadian and she, like most of her countrymen, does not ever complain about food at a restaurant or would never send back an order. Ever. I have a feeling the waiter was new and perhaps his English comprehension was challenged. We ordered a papaya salad and a Thai stir fry with tofu. The idea was that we would split both dishes and we did not bother to say that we wanted the papaya salad first followed by the hot dish. Both dished arrives at the same time. Ok. After we got an extra plate and an extra serving spoon so we could divide the dishes, we split the papaya salad. Nice. Very spicy. And it came with a bowl of sticky rice which we love and with three pieces Thai-style beef jerky which was ok but didn't really add to the experience. The tofu in the stir fry clearly wasn't tofu. Partner's Canadian politeness kicked in and she wouldn't let me even ask the waiter what the slices were. Partner said it was chicken. When the arrived. it said it was pork. The sauce and veggies were excellent and buried the taste of the meat. But I sure would rather have had tofu. And I'm glad I'm only a wannabe vegetarian. Bottom line: had we sent it back and gotten the dish replaced with what we had originally ordered, I would have given Surin four stars. With pork instead of tofu, Surin only gets two. And I regret not asking and requesting a replacement.

Yelp
Cute lil spot - Ascetically not really pleasing, but the food and bar drinks were very good. They are fast, efficient, and friendly. I would recommend trying this place out. Some of the best Crab Rangoons I've eaten. They do a lot of mobile orders so there is a lot of foot traffic coming in/out the door.

Yelp
I used to frequent Surin back in the 2000s and then it wasn't convenient for me. I stopped in on a Saturday night expecting a wait. There was no wait and the bar had open seats. One thing between back then and now? The food is still excellent and so is the service. I absolutely love this place! If you want great Thai food, excellent customer service don't meet me there, beat me there!!!
google avatar

Yelp
,Surin in V. Highland has really gone downhill and I will not go back. The food was not up to Thai standards.

Yelp
I had to stop by before leaving town. They have the Best Tiger Cry dish... I've tried it at other places and it made this tiger cry lol.... rating is based on the dish Tiger Cry If you're a ribeye fan, this may be the dish for you... The real magic is in the dipping sauce that accompanies the dish, it's somethimg in-between a chimichurri and ceviche sauce (my best comparison). If I'm lucky enough to find a place that serves the dish, it never compares to Surin's, so I leave disappointed... It's been years since I've been and the recipe was still magically delicious. The restaurant decor is simple but classic and they have a laid back staff that makes the dining experience enjoyable. Great lighting at night. Parking can be tricky at peek hours, so either go early or Uber. Note: They will serve the dish for lunch if requested. Yum on Yelpers...

Yelp
Absolutely terrible service. Went in to order take out during lunch service at the bar and the bar tender was rude and judgmental. After coming in with work out gear on I'm assuming my partner and I were presumed to be unworthy of decent service. He was dismissive and condescending. We were asked if we were ready to order and before we finished giving an answer he just walked off and helped 2 other young ladies. Then we noticed after we ordered we were the only people that were made to pay before we received our food unlike the other 2 young ladies who were sitting beside us. After we finally received our food we were checking our bag and noticed there were egg rolls in the bag and the rude bartender said "oh no you didn't order egg rolls" proceeded to reach in our bag that was already in our possession and grabs the eggs rolls out while laughing with another employee and says "shouldn't have checked your bag" as they both mockingly laughed in our face. This also raised the question: "so now that you reached in our bag without any sanitary protocol are you going to give this food that was in our possession to another guest?" We haven't had the food yet but regardless this experience was enough to let us know we will never be coming back to this restaurant. Disgusting treatment.

Yelp
Very hit or miss. Their stir fries taste like Chinese food. No Thai basil in them and the sauce is always way too salty. Their green curry tastes good (though not as good as Top Spice in Druid Hills)... however it has dairy in it. Yes, dairy and not coconut milk. Such a scam! I like the Virginia-Highland neighborhood though. The guy who brought me to Surin on our first date (a Georgia Tech graduate) really liked this neighborhood. We went to Limerick Junction (Irish bar) next door too.

Yelp
Simply the best basil fried rice with chicken that I have ever tasted. I get it every time and it never disappoints. The beef salad is also tasty as is everything on the menu.

Yelp
Went to Surin of Thailand for a late night bite, tried a few Thai dishes I've never had before and wasn't disappointed. The Spicy Thai Spaghetti with Shrimp was delicious and served piping hot, the crab angels were flavorful, but a little too cheesy and the honey-peanut cucumber sauce served with the Surin Baskets was a pleasant party on my palette. If you're looking for a relaxed ambiance with authentic food being served from a hipster hole in the wall, I recommend this totally be your place.

Yelp
Service was very slow to where the Bartender had to jump in to play our Server at times. We were here during the Lunch Specials so options & prices worked. I wasn't a fan on the preparation of the Veggie Pad Thai -as it was consumed with more big cut veggies oppose to Rice Noodles. The Veggie Spring Rolls made up for it, as they were not greasy & fried just right. The lunchtime menu doesn't offer many variations, yet you can still order from the regular menu. Prices were a little steeped as two lunches cost us almost $40. There's an inviting full bar & the decor is welcoming.

Yelp
Food is always delicious I also love the Thai tea and the Lady's Man cocktail This place is great for solo dining, dates or small groups

Yelp
We have gotten food from here for many years and enjoyed it. Past year or so the food has been very inconsistent. Lunch time yesterday, I got take out of Masaman Chicken, which did not taste up to par. About 8 pm, I started violently throwing up and had diarrhea from food poisoning. This continued for about 4 hours... I have never been so sick. At one point, walking back from the bathroom, I fell to the floor and just laid there for a while. I could definitely say that the food poisoning came from the Masaman Chicken from Surin! Never will I get food from Surin again!!!! I'm still trying to recover from yesterday's lunch.

Yelp
This place treats their delivery drivers like crap! All we want to do is pick up the food and go! Every time I come and pick up from here, I'm told to wait in the front when all of the orders are just sitting in that room getting cold! How hard is it to have someone designated to assist the drivers and pass out the orders! We have other orders in the car getting cold because they can't give us the orders in a timely fashion! Avoid pick up from this place unless the order is really paying well! The old Asian lady is the most RUDEST of all the staff!

Yelp
I've been here a few times with my boyfriend. There is one thing that's really good and everything else just seems okay. APPETIZER: Get the coconut mushroom soup! It is delicious. Also comes with tofu pieces. It's for 2+ people so don't try eating it by yourself! I order it every time I come here with bae. It is served in a giant bowl that also comes with a fire thing to keep it a little warmer while you eat. It's kind of fun! But mostly it's really delicious. Very limey in the traditional Thai sense, but I really enjoy it. FOOD: I've tried a couple of different things here, but I've never been that impressed. Their curries are pretty okay but not spectacular, my boyfriend likes the spicy noodle dish a lot. Maybe I just haven't found the right thing on the menu yet! AMBIANCE: Kind of dark, kind of crowded. It's okay but nothing special. Generally nice though. SERVICE: Once I came here and our waitress told us to flag her down when we were ready to order, but then we couldn't find her. We had to ask someone to go get her and then she admitted she forgot about us. Other than that one time, never had a major complaint. OVERALL: There are definitely better Thai places (likely on Buford), but this one is okay, especially for ITP. Try the coconut soup!

Yelp
The area where the restaurant sits cool to hang around after or before you eat. Service was A-1, the Succulent Catfish was great, and awesome atmosphere.

Yelp
On a heavily traveled corner of the Virginia Highlands, Surin of Thailand has been a long-time staple of the community serving up Thai food favorites like volcano pot soup, curries, fried rice dishes, and even Thai-inspired cocktails. We arrived on a Tuesday evening, where the restaurant was relatively busy, and found that even a Thai restaurant can get you into the Taco Tuesday mood. Let's take a food adventure into everything Surin of Thailand. Starting with the Surin Sour it's a whiskey-based cocktail that also includes lemon, bitters, banane, and orgeat. This cocktail is boozy up front that finishes sweet, plus it's a good drinkable cocktail that is noticeably frothy and rather smooth. Not being a big whiskey drinker, it was nice to get a cocktail like this that I would drink again and enjoy. We really enjoyed it. Cheers. For our starter, what doesn't scream Thai restaurant than spicy Coconut Soup in a Volcano Pot? Amiright? This soup lived up to the hype with creamy coconut milk, tender chicken and mushrooms all served piping hot! It was creamy and rich with a slightly spicy finish all wrapped up into that Volcano Pot that keeps the soup hot. Reminds us of a cold winter night by the fire! We'll be back for more. We also got, Nuer Nom Tok, a Thai take on a taco. From the spicy beef to the delectable soy-based sauce to the crunch of the cabbage, you can pile it all into one bite wrapped in a piece of cabbage or eat it like a salad. The beef was very tender and paired well with the rich and deep sauce and the crunch of the vegetables. Plus, what made this dynamic was that the spice grew as you ate, which went so well with all the flavors that this dish had going on. What's a taco that doesn't have multiple flavors and spice? It was even better the next day for lunch! Love! As the main, we went for the Salmon entrée that comes with a sweet and spicy creamy thai sauce paired with tender broccoli, crunchy peppers, and savory rice. The salmon was flaky and cooked perfectly with a slight char on the back of the bite. With the creamy, sweet, spicy sauce really went well with the entire plate: the crunch of the peppers, savory of the rice, tender of the broccoli. Mix it all together and you've got a great bite. So good. We didn't get to try a few other things but the Chicken Larb sounded good, as well as any of the fried rice dishes. We will be back for those on our next Taco Tuesday adventure. We think Chicken Larb wrapped in the cabbage can also be a Thai Taco adventure. Are you in?

Yelp
Surin of Thailand is a Thai restaurant with a few Chinese specialities located in Virginia highlands. The service is great and the dishes are great as well. We enjoyed crab Rangoon as an appetizer, the dish came with 4 on the smaller side but well done. We enjoyed the fried duck along with basil chicken. Although the dishes were flavorful I thought they were a bit on the pricier side(most dishes start at $20) and drinks started around $12 for nothing particularly fancy. Street parking is $2/hour. There is a lot behind dark horse Tavern for $5 that is next to the restaurant.

Yelp
Please stay away from this place. There was a dead fruit fly in my Wonton soup. Told the manager all he said was we took the soup off the bill. We told the customers next to us, they said the chicken was bad. The manager down played the concerns from both situations. If you value your stomach do not risk eating at this place!

Yelp
The food was tasty, the service was great. The prices could've been better and I knocked off two stars because I kept asking for menu options only to be told they were unavailable? Take them off the menu, what the heck. Was bummed out but I'd go back for the calamari, no doubt.

Yelp
Most Atlanteans that I've spoken w agree Surin's an excellent eatery. It's a Virginia Highlands staple. There's not a single item on their menu that's just ok. Start of with their not so weak lemon drop. Get their spicy seafood soup. They'll b happy to add some soul when u need that extra kick Every choice on their stir-fry with vegetables will impress you. The Veggie Delight with shrimp is an easy choice. I always go with the Prik King with tofu when I'm in a mood Nice, cool ambience mostly ; can get a bit loud on Saturday nights Staff are always very accommodating, helpful, knowledgeable, & kind Friendly alert- Their mixed drink prices are a bit steep. But we can always get a Thai iced tea for $3 !

Yelp
So I really tried to like this place but I just cant. This is my 3rd time here so I have really tried. Today, I had the Thai Noodle with shrimp add chicken and the white White Peach Martini (I believe thats what it is called). White Peach Martini--taste like a sweet medicine I could not finish the drink. Thai Noodle with shrimp add chicken--Something about the flavor of this dish didnt sit right with me. This dish has peanuts, which made the dish taste like peanut butter. I recommend tasting the food prior to mixing everything together. Appetizer-- My table of 4 had the Crispy Squid, Pot Stickers, & Egg Roles. These were really good! The Crispy Squid was not chewy and golden brown. The pot stickers were very good and had some amazing flavors. The egg roles were cooked perfectly and tasted just as good! Now I will say the customer service was excellent and the atmosphere was great. Im just not a fan.

Yelp
Great Thai food, (coming from a thai person), but some of the apps aren't the best/a little over priced (the spring rolls). I recommend the different noodle dishes highly!

Yelp
Nice quaint Thai restaurant nestled in Virginia Highland near boutiques and bars. This was my first time here but my friends go to spot. The Thai stir fry in ginger sauce was so refreshing. My only recommendation would be more of the extra zucchini that I ordered. They gave me more onions then chicken or zucchinis. The bartender gave great customer service and was very personable. Next time the lamp chops my friend had will be on my radar. If you aren't a drinker or want something non-alcoholic try the Thai tea......so good. It is sweet FYI so let the ice break it down before drinking. If you are a drinker then you'll have a great experience with the knowledgeable bartender. Parking includes street parking as well as two parking areas that range from $3 and up. The best part of my experience was the homeless man that came in who was clearly a neighborhood guy coming in and the owner spoke to him respectfully and even gave him $10 for his birthday. It says a lot about a person to care about not only patrons but people as a whole. For that I will happily recommend this restaurant. Food, customer service and quality all A plus.

Yelp
Really enjoyed this Thai restaurant. As usual, my husband and I went for our Saturday hike and then found ourselves in the mood for some light summer time food, which always makes me think of Thai food. Parking - this is the downside of the location. Street parking, very few spaces and pretty tight. If you can find a spot, grab it. Parking aside, this is well worth a visit. We tried a few dishes and found all of them to be very light, full of flavor, and full of fresh seafood. Spicy Papaya Salad - simple and good. This reminded me of the type of papaya salad you would actually get in Thailand. Nothing fancy, but great spice profile and heat. What is really special and unique about the Papaya salad is the side of dried Thai beef (jerky like) that comes with it. I kid you not, it tastes like well made fried chicken. Soooo good!! Spicy Seafood Soup - in one word: balanced! A good amount of seafood in this slightly spicy Tom Yum broth with slivers of raw ginger that elevate the flavor. Pad Thai (with tofu) - nothing special, but also not overly sweet or overly seasoned. This is nice and light and the tofu was great with the sear from the wok. Mixed Seafood in Spicy Basil Sauce - this was the star of the show! We didn't need the rice at all, meaning it wasn't overly spicy, but the sweet and spicy balance with the strong basil aromatics made this dish perfect. All the seafood in it was super fresh and delicate. We will definitely be back for more! Thanks for keeping the flavors simple and more authentic.

Yelp
Beautiful inside, always great service, amazing food! Some of my favorite and most recommended dishes: Appetizers - Surin Baskets (really, try these over all) Soup - Tom Kha - coconut (get the large if sharing cause the metal serving pot is too cool) Entrees - Veggie Delight (sautéed veggies and choice of protein in a light brown sweet sauce) Curries - Masaman or Panang Noodles - Spicy Spaghetti - This dish is my favorite and unusual so you can't get it at any Thai place. Thick, round, hollow wheat noodles (almost like an Udon noodle but lighter/less dense) served in a thin spicy red chili broth and sautéed vegetables. I like it with Shrimp.

Yelp
Located in a strip of restaurants and stores off of Ponce de Leon. Street parking in the front and a parking lot in the back. You do have to pay for parking. We went for a working lunch. We were there first customers. We had a party of 13. We had a great time. They space out there customers for a safe dining experience. The food was delicious! I love Thai food. This is a new favorite place of mine ! My team tried a bunch of different dishes from the lunch menu. I had the chicken noodle bowl. The flavor and chicken were to die for. They don't serve sweet tea. This was there only downfall. I want to go back right now as I am typing out this review. They have 2 locations in the Atl area. Give it a try! You will not be disappointed.

Yelp
Chicken Pad Thai was extremely disappointing and lacked flavor. Completely unappetizing food, the photos speak for themselves.
