Late Night Food in Atlanta | Eater Atlanta

"A five-minute walk from Smith’s Olde Bar and a couple of other Midtown mainstays, Su’s Chinese is an unassuming, casual spot in Ansley Square. Hearty dishes like the spicy General Tso’s Chicken, orange peel beef, pepper steak, and others are served with rice, an egg roll, and your choice of soup — complete meals for under $20 each. Su’s closes at 3 a.m. nightly." - Eater Staff

Google
I was really disappointed with my meal. I ordered the sesame chicken special, which came with hot & sour soup & an egg roll, as well as fried chicken wings. The only thing I enjoyed was the egg roll and the soup, which were both good. However, the sesame chicken was not up to expectations, and the wings were disappointing. The biggest issue was that the wings came in a styrofoam container that had holes in it, likely because they didn’t let them cool before packing. This made the meal feel rushed and not well-prepared. Overall, it wasn’t a great experience.

Google
Great after the club spot. Food is normally hot and tasty. Service is always good. They remain patient with all intoxicated customers.

Google
I very rarely give ONE STAR, but there wasn't anything other option for what I experienced. The vegetarian chicken looked and tasted more like RAT MEAT or SNAKE meat! It was inedible! The "sauces" were very watery and not very fIavorful! I ordered from UberEats earlier this week of June 2025. The ratings were good enough, plus the variety on their menu was nice, so I decided to order from Su's for the first time. There's no way that Chinese people are cooking this food!!! It is probably the worst Chinese food I have ever had in my life. And that hurts, because Chinese food is one of my favorite cuisines. This places needs to go out of business today!

Google
During my visit to Su's, I was greeted by a welcoming ambiance and amiable staff. A staff member suggested the spicy beef bowl, a recommendation I found delightful. The establishment's exceptional customer service and cleanliness guarantee my future patronage, and I am inclined to share this positive experience with my friends. Moreover, the fact that everything is prepared in-house further enhances my appreciation for this restaurant.

Google
Yuck. I ordered 2 entrees. Came up to $45. Chicken lo mein had just noodles chicken and onions no other vegetables. Shrimp Egg foo Young tasted bland no flavor. I threw all the food away it was horrible. Its in a club zone so seem like most of their business is late night club ppl just looking to put something on their stomach. But by far the worst Chinese I've had in Atlanta

Google
there were a lot of positive reviews, so I am surprised by the soupy mess that is my dinner. I ordered triple delight and it is just swimming in sauce, the shrimp are TINY, the vegetables are overcooked, and it's full of cabbage. The egg drop soup is also really bad and that is HARD to mess up. I was hoping to find a great late night Chinese place and this is not that.

Google
This family owned Chinese restaurant sits comfortably between several bars and is a source of great food during the late night. The quantity that you get will always satisfy you You will never get less than which will make you stuffed and the quality for the price is amazing. Personally I recommend the egg rolls which are house made and also the pepper steak which is a good starter dish. The crab rangoons are also very good and I was recommended this by the owner. All the house specials are family recipes and will definitely raise your heart and fill your stomach. This is a family owned Chinese restaurant that feels like one of those restaurants where you won't be judged and the vibe is bustling. Love the late night vibe

Google
Love it every time .. never disappoints especially egg rolls, honey hot braised wings and shrimp fried rice … and always hot and fresh !

Yelp
I absolutely love eating at this restaurant. They have great fresh food and everything is very nice prepared and I will always come back here because they treat me very good. I'm a little customer and they make me feel like I am valued. Do yourself a favor don't go to any other Chinese food restaurant. You will be disappointed. This is the best place to go.

Yelp
I've actually been to Su's once before after leaving a nearby bar and remember enjoying the wings, so I was surprised to realize this was the same spot when my partner and I ordered takeout last night. Unfortunately, this time around was kind of a letdown. I got the sweet and sour chicken and honestly, it tasted almost identical to the frozen Trader Joe's version--not in a good way. The breading was off, and the egg roll was super oily and barely had any filling. That said, my partner's chicken wings were still solid (definitely the best part), and I liked the egg drop soup. Overall, not terrible, but definitely not memorable either. Probably better suited for late-night drunk food than a planned meal. I don't see myself ordering again.

Yelp
So - late night it's open and the food is hot and freshly prepared. When you leave the bar and are hungry and options are limited- you pop in. Wings and shrimp fried rice about as basic as it comes- the fried rice was good and hot..a decent amount of shrimp, but I'm the guy that likes veggies like sprouts and peas and "stuff" in the fried rice - it was hot and generally tasted good. The wings on the other hand ??? Not so much - they are the tiniest wings you can find - about the size of your thumb - over cooked because they are small and don't need a lot of time in the fryer. Tough and chewy- won't get those again and don't recommend you do either. You can absolutely sit down and eat there - it's a pleasant enough place to do that and service is decent - you kinda get the idea they feel like - get in and get out - we got uber eats and door dash food to package - your kinda taking up space. But hey it's a late night spot open til 3am most days so it's an option.

Yelp
I've already reviewed this restaurant but I just had to go back to leave another review because of the quality of the appetizers. This late night dive has the chinese essentials for filling your needs. This time, I had the shumai, rangoons, Eggroll's, and the house friend rice. The shumai was excellent, has an excellent meaty flavor and the sweet sauce that comes with it really cuts thru the fattiness and juices. I do recommend eating it with the sauce because the shumai has a strong meaty flavor! The rangoons are excellent as always, crunchy on the outside, tender on the inside and the flavor is just right. I prefer them without the sauce but to each their own! But I have to say the Eggroll's may have stolen the story for the most tastiest appetizer. The outer shell is both crispy but also tender right under the fries skin. The pork on the Inside makes for a filling meal but also gives the Eggroll a punch. This couples with the fresh and crunchy vegetables really rounds up the Eggroll as the best appetizer.

Yelp
Been eating here for years. Good prices, open late, delicious greasy spicy sauce on chicken, beef or tofu is good too. To be able to order at 2:00 AM on a Wednesday is A+ Eggrolls are great, sweet and sour chicken rocks. Orange beef is 8/10 maybe 9/10 for the price and delivery taken into consideration. Shrimp dishes are farm raised, but large in size. Food is consistent, good sizes, good amount of vegetables and [protip] always one or two pieces of meat hidden underneath the rice... Yum!
google avatar

Adrian G.

Yelp
Absolutely disgusting. It's the worst Asian/Chinese food I had in Atlanta. Shrimp Rice, no flavor, and the chicken wings look and taste like Piegon. Never again will they get my money.
google avatar

Parker W.

Yelp
This place is a great late night eat. Classic Chinese food. I like it. I'm not crazy about dinning in but great to go.
google avatar

Seitra R.

Yelp
The food was decently good and fresh. The service was ok. The Ambiance wasn't anything special. But overall the food was fresh and you don't get the bang for you buck you usually would get from a Chinese cuisine but I think that was because it was in the middle of a couple of bars and I think they did theirs analyzing well when it come to feeding drunk customers

Yelp
Listen, for a late night , I'm just leaving the club , let me put something on my stomach, this place is giving! Wings are small though, and the crowd can be a bit boisterous on weekends. Good stop.

Guillermo S.

Yelp
The hot and sour soup and the won ton soup AMAZING! Sometimes I look at them and think to myself are you really this DAMN GOOD! Mmmmm! And the best part is they make their children work too when they are out of school! Man I love this place!

Heidi H.

Yelp
Got takeout on Sunday afternoon (Sesame chicken dinner entree - the wonton soup is soo good! And pork lo mein - lots of meat, on the fattier side which I like but may not be for everyone) Solid Chinese American neighborhood joint. Fast service, good portions, real good spicy oil. Will return!
google avatar

Davion R.

Yelp
I got orange chicken from here awhile back and the meat was grey in the middle. Kind of put me off Chinese food for a minute.
google avatar

Marcus M.

Yelp
She's has proven to be the late night choice, especially for the club crowd that surrounds it. The great food and expedient service are paramount! I will continue to frequent this place. Keep up the great work!

Yelp
It's one of the rare places in ATL that doesn't have an actual ordering system. Was waiting for my food for roughly an hour because they cannot keep track of order tickets. Once you get your food it is FANTASTIC!! Love this place because it's open LATE in the gay Ansley park. If they modernized their ticketing system it will be 5 stars all around

Yelp
My first experience with Su's was for Christmas Dinner & the Vegetarian Menu options served me just right. I ordered through Yelp which was fulfilled by Grubhub. I made a quick call to see how the V-General Tso Chikin' was prepared & to my liking I placed my order. From ordering to delivery time was almost an hour for 1.8 miles, aside from that, I was satisfied with my food & the $18 price. My second experience was Take Out, in which I did a repeat as the V-General Tso is really good both taste & preparation wise. The store front Chinese restaurant is part of the busy Ansley Square Shopping Center, located on the opposite side of Publix by Oscar's Bar & stays open until 3A. Again for my preferences, prices, good service via telephone & in person, Su's was a sure bet both times.

Yelp
Su's Chinese Cuisine for the win!!! Su! Su! Su, I LOVE U! Down here in The A, Hotlanta, ATL, A-Town, The Big Peach, Dogwood City, The Big A, Broadstreet USA, NY of the South, Black Hollywood, Silicon Peach, Empire City of the South, Running City USA....and to some, even Wakanda. What a great Southern oasis of food, music, culture, nightlife & nature! What else could one ask for?? What kind of food?? Southern BBQ, I assume --- nope! Not only BBQ, but there is some salacious and solid Chinese treats to be found at Su's Chinese Cuisine. Ordered at 2:30am, it was of only two food options to be found...the other of similar cuisine. I am SO happy and grateful that Su fulfilled my order and I was able to order Chicken Wings (buffalo sauce), Cheese Sticks (was really hoping and guessing these were mozzie stix and they were!), and a Sesame Chicken Dinner Combo! What a variety, a plethora of food! The delivery was timely, polite, and informative! I'll be back! -$tevie J

Yelp
By far one of the best way to get Miso Soup and any time the business is operational. However, I do advise those who aren't aware, sooth is delicious, enjoyable until a certain time in the night. No later than around 1:30 AM. It's when most food choices sound like a great idea, but end up being a terrible mistake due to the quality. I have learned that there are certain dishes that are acceptable like I mentioned before the miso soup, fried noodles, Egg Rolls, and Spring Rolls, and depending on you being smart and limiting the options...fried or white rice are also an ideal choice that I've very seldomly experienced a negative experience.

Yelp
Visited this late night eatery about 2 weeks ago and intentionally left the club an hour early at 2AM to avoid the wait. Turns out, my order must have been forgotten and the employee handing out orders didn't even apologize or offer a free drink or anything. Everyone who arrived at 3 AM or way after, received their food before me. We had already paid for 3 orders so had to wait.... How would you feel sober amongst a reckless drunk crowd, waiting on your food and over 20 orders for drunk people get handed out, while you still wait???.... When I got the food it was marginal at best. House Fried rice was a low quality and super basic. Chinese Buddha was ALOT better when open! Shrimp was small, and small chunks of beef. They need more help. 1 person ringing up orders and 1 handing them out with an attitude....I will say the Spring Roll was delicious. That wait killed the vibe for me. Don't plan on coming back......
google avatar

Yelp
Pad Thai was NOT good. Don't do it. No matter how late, no matter how hungry you are - do not order the Pad Thai. I don't know about anything else here. Maybe it's good? But the Pad Thai.. nope.
google avatar

Keith B.

Yelp
Horrible service. Horrible food. Never go there Never have I encountered such rude people, service, bad food and disrespectful service. How these people remain open is beyond me. Not only are they rude but if you dare let them know how bad their service is they try to have security throw you out for disputing their horrible service, and for the record their security agreed with me. So overall NEVER go there
google avatar

Micah S.

Yelp
There were ten different entree choices and each was served with steamed white rice, an egg roll, and a choice of three soups. We chose the General Tso's Chicken, Sweet and Sour Pork and the Spicy Garlic Chicken. Best fried rice I've probably ever had. Loved that it had actual white meat chicken. I would definitely eat their food again!
google avatar

Patrick P.

Yelp
The food is actually okay, but tonight the fortune cookies had advertisements with QR codes and fake fortunes encouraging me in invest in god knows what. I love fortune cookies but these were a dystopian nightmare. As long as these are served, I won't be back.
google avatar

Greg S.

Yelp
This is awful they are playing on the Lbgt clubs patrons. The wings are sooooooollll small it should be criminal. I ordered house fried rice with no shrimp and and extra beef it's 95%rice rice you have to to pick thru for for meat. Su is a overpriced food stingy location. It's not worth it
google avatar

Sheridan H.

Yelp
I ordered the panang curry via doordash, I've heard about this place but this was my first time trying. It satiated me as a late night after work meal, but this is not your typical panang curry and I couldn't bring myself to even finish it. Not only did it include tiny pieces of chicken, but the broth itself was lacking flavor and there was an odd assortment of hugely chopped mixed vegetables inside (not the typical peppers, green beans, etc). The service and timing was great but the food did not meet my expectations... may come back for just chicken and rice in the future.
google avatar

Adrienn M.

Yelp
I love their Mongolian chicken and beef! They are sweet people and the food is always on time. I love that they are open late ! I honestly don't eat anything but this so I can't recommend anything else haha.

Liam N.

Yelp
Good takeout chinese food when you are craving it. Nice people and food comes out hot and fresh.
google avatar

Ashley R.

Yelp
I ordered to-go through a third-party delivery service and they did not disappoint! My food was prepared quickly and accurately- one of the fastest delivery times ever so you know the kitchen was on top of it! I played it safe for my first order here- sesame chicken, white rice, crab rangoons and spring rolls. First of all the portion of chicken is quite big enough for several meals for me, great value! The rice tasted freshly made. The crab rangoons (6) were crisp and hot, as were the spring rolls (2). Everything is delicious. I put my serving on a plate (pictured) because I like to experience the food outside of plastic to-go containers. The chicken shown is just a small fraction of what I received so I will have several lunches with the leftovers. This food seriously hit the spot! I will be back!
google avatar

Mariam T.

Yelp
This has to be the best chinese food i've ever had! Their vegetarian menu is amazing- so rare to find chinese food with vegan meat substitutes other than tofu! Nothing hits more than that vegetarian general tso's chicken at 2 am after a night out. The vibes in the restaurant are immaculate at that hour with every single customer being drunk out of their minds. The staff is amazing though, such wonderful people. I look forward to coming here every time I am in atlanta.
google avatar

Yelp
Great Food & Open Late ! Conveniently located near downtown, and near plenty of fun bars. With a small parking lot that's typically busy on weekends, I recommend calling ahead to drop in and pick up!
google avatar

Kalen H.

Yelp
Sadly, I blame myself. This was an impulsive "I know better than this, but..." moments that I was craving quick noodles. I decided to get takeout. An order of General Tso's chicken w/ veg Lo Mein ($3 up charge for lo mein instead of rice). I've had bubble tummy and been on the potty a couple times since eating the noodles and a few pieces of the chicken (the pieces that I could find with meat, and not just the fried ends) Sorry for sharing a yucky review, but my tummy wouldn't let me not share. I really hoped for a good experience here for some simple takeout, Better luck to the rest of you.

Yelp
I had the most disturbing experience with this restaurant... I placed an order last night. Including the delivery fee and tax. As far as the tip, I was going to tip them cash when I received my food. Hence why I chosen the Cash option for the tip. First, when I checked my order status, it said that my order has been delivered.. I never received a phone call or notification of the driver arriving. So, I called the restaurant and the lady told me that the driver was on his way here. She said she pressed complete when the driver left the restaurant. So I asked for the driver's number, and she put me on hold. When she came back, she told me that the driver would be arriving within 5 minutes. So I said thank you, and we ended the call. As soon as we ended the phone call, I started walking outside to meet the driver. While walking, the driver calls me saying that he is here. So I tell him to give me 1 minute. Now this is where things turned disturbing.. As I approached the driver, he opened his door, and handed me my receipt and a pen. I grabbed them thinking I had to sign the receipt.. He said, "Write down the tip" Me: "Sorry?" Driver: "The tip, write down the tip" At this point, I was disturbed and dumbfounded.. He was holding my food as "hostage" and basically forcing me to pay tip. Now, I had cash for this driver in my pocket.. After how he came onto me like that, I did not want to tip him at all. I asked for my food, and walked away. Customer service goes a long way. The way he talked to me asking me for the tip before he gave me the food was just plain rude. I will not be ordering from here in the future.

Yelp
When one orders Americanized Chinese food for delivery, you know you're not going to get anything amazing. It's all about a last minute option or you're drunk. We arrived home from out of town and didn't want to deal with a grocery store and so we decided to order from Su's. I have previously ordered and it was just ok (what I expect) but yesterday was terrible. I phoned in the order and was placed on hold for a brief minute (no problem) and after ordering and giving my credit card info she said "ok bye" and hung up. Not a delivery wait time, a thank you, NOTHING!! I phoned back to check on delivery time and after being put on hold again, was told it would be up to an hour delivery time. The delivery time was roughly 40 minutes, which is always a nice surprise to be earlier. Everything we ordered was there but the quality was TERRIBLE. Had we not been starving we probably would not have eaten the food. We ordered the House Lo mein, House friend rice, kung pao chicken, and two orders of eggrolls. All of the food lacked meat and the flavor was off. The eggrolls were a sad representation of themselves. The best part was the broccoli in the king pao chicken. So basically we spent $50 for some blah food but decent broccoli. After this experience following a couple of "meh" experiences with Su's, we will not be ordering from here again.

Jane H.

Yelp
Su's is a good late night Chinese spot. They're open later than the majority of Chinese places. Their egg drop soup is good and I like the crab Rangoon too, as well as the pork fried rice. I've tried the sesame chicken and it's good as well here's some pictures lol.
google avatar

Kevin S.

Yelp
This was the best chicken fried rice I've ever had. Better even than Benihana (I'm sorry Benihana I still love you)! And boy does it hit different at 3am after about 8 Long Island Ice Teas woooooweeeee do yourself a favor and check it out.

Christopher S.

Yelp
not good. trust me. don't waste your money Bar customer service. Counts on drunk gay me. And then make fun of them. Put your money somewhere else

Kyle L.

Yelp
Su's rules! I don't get any of the bad reviews. I generally get American-Chinese food fare (Tso's or Sesame), and it's delicious, meaty, hot, and crisp. Portions are good; prices didn't seem to rise with everyone else's inflation-wise. Every employee has been nice and professional, and they're open late as hell. After trying a number of places in the area with more mixed results, Su's is our house'a new go-to.
google avatar

Deana B.

Yelp
Got back to my hotel late after working a 14 hour day and didn't think to grab dinner on the way ...this Thai Red Curry Chicken (ordered extra spicy) was delivered via Doordash within SIXTEEN minutes around midnight with NO delivery fee! Veggies were fresh, sauce was rich (and spicy!) and best of all it was hot and delicious and delivered to my front courtyard with a professional smile. The restaurant texted me immediately upon receiving my order and even reminded me to "Enjoy your meal!" I did :)
google avatar

Bill A.

Yelp
Exactly what we were looking for... traditional Chinese takeout. Great all-around experience: online ordering, quick delivery, great packaging, delicious food.
google avatar

Henry J.

Yelp
Su's was a recommendation from a friend who works in the hospitality business. He stated the food was the "bomb". After moving here from NYC/NJ we are always is search to find go too' Being locked in because of the virus we we looking for delivery options. Simply put Su's Chinese met the high mark we have for the quick non fancy Chinese restaurant. Delivery was fine and the food was excellent. Highly recommend

Yelp
6.5 stars out of 10: Food is delicious: (Eggrolls, Chicken Dumplings, Thai Rice) Service was OK: (15-minute wait told, actual: 35 minutes) Atmosphere a little noisy: (not really the business's fault, but their neighbors in the shopping center would not make for a quiet night out Decor inside: OK. Has a TV on 1 wall, and a half wall between the waiting area and the tables. Basically: It's a "hole in the wall" that has decent food, but not my first choice. Would I return and eat again? Yes, if there weren't any other options. Hours: Very nice, they're open later than most. Staff looks exhausted and probably not enough staff to support demand. Recommendations for the business: I would renovate it upscale a little bit. Change the lighting from all lights on, to dim areas, lighted booths, and lighted waiting areas. With the right design, could convert the space into what you're using it for. Half the restaurant is a waiting area. Website: The order process was easy to order online, however, you need to check orders regularly. When I arrived to pick up my order, I had to wait an additional 10 minutes, when it should have already been ready for me. This tells me that either your wait times online should be updated to more accurately reflect the level of service to be expected, or you need to up your service level to match the wait time. Delivery Bag/ Food Containers: Bad is the one word I can think of. I transported it in a food delivery bag, and when I got home and opened the bag, the Thai rice had spilled out of the bag and onto the bottom of my food delivery bag. I would recommend to the restaurant to tape or staple the food container if you're going to use cardboard - or use better containers. The paper bag that was holding everything was soaked with soggy rice and the bottom of my bag had rice spilled out. I'm very thankful I didn't order soup because I can only imagine. If you're transporting this home, you'll want to ensure that the bag is held by someone, because if you're by yourself, or if you're doing Uber Eats or Door Dash, Goodluck!
google avatar

Melissa A.

Yelp
Love that they stay open late, sometimes my work can run pretty late so they're my go-to for quick and excellent service and amazing food! Thank you guys for everything you do!

Deandra E.

Yelp
I just left this place the food is absolutely disgusting. I threw it in the trash. The noodles were over cooked and it taste old. There is no flavor. So disappointed in Su's.
google avatar

Mateo S.

Yelp
Literally the most bussin Chinese food you can get in Atlanta. The orange peel chicken is the best I've had.
google avatar

Dawne F.

Yelp
Placed an order for delivery, and it took a very long time. The Egg Drop soup didn't have much flavor and had Tofu in it...never saw that before. The Steamed Pot Stickers were good and so were the Egg Rolls. Pad Thai was okay. Nothing spectacular.

Daquan S.

Yelp
The seasame chicken was terrible. The won ton soup is nasty. The chicken doesn't taste like chicken and the price was way to high
google avatar

Shreyas K.

Yelp
No frills Chinese place. Was open for take out so I placed an order over the phone. When I went in for the pick up, chatted the manager/owner. They were doing take out/delivery only, no dine in. Good portions for the price for no-frills Chinese food. Got the Kung Pao chicken and Veg. Chicken Lo Mien (mock meat) which were pretty good. I also ordered a side of onion rings since they were on the menu, but they were memorable as in "not to be ordered again".
google avatar

Marissa G.

Yelp
So I have had 2 experiences here! One was a little weird. My coworkers wanted to order in for the night shift and we choice this spot. I didn't want meat, just because late night spots with meat aren't my thing. So I got the "like meat" with veggies. Let's just say I'd prefer the meat. Ok so second experience - I have the flu and need some soup. How about amazing egg drop soup! They won me back as my soup spot! So I have probably been back 1x a week when I want some quick fresh hot soup. Also tried the 3 brothers - egg roll, Rangoon and dumpling I think. This was yummy also. I would order it again. Delivery is through third parties, pick up is insanely fast.
google avatar

Kai D.

Yelp
The first time I ordered, the food blew me away! It was deliciously hot and good! It was late night when I ordered and I was happy it satisfied my hunger! The second time (2 days later), it was too much breading on the shrimp but the flavor was consistent. However, I will still recommend.
google avatar

Billy F.

Yelp
I placed an order here after a night out. I ordered crab rangoon, fried rice, and general tso's. The crab rangoon was great, the fried rice was very bland, and the general tso's beef was disgusting. The quality of the meat isn't good. I was chewing the same piece of meat for one minute before I spit it out and threw the whole container in the garbage. Gross.
