As an events consultant, I have worked on countless events in DC and other cities over the years and have worked with most of the catering companies in DC multiple times, including Susan Gage Caterers. Whenever a client hires Susan Gage for an event, I know it is going to be a very special occasion. The food is always delicious and the service excellent. I have had the pleasure of working with Amber and Paul from the SGC team on a few occasions and truly appreciate their expertise and dedication, especially when handling dynamic circumstances. Catering is not only about creativity and quality food, but also about good service, set-up and precise timing. I always feel confident that no matter the number of dietary restrictions or unique components to an event, Susan Gage consistently delivers. On a related note, my parents enjoyed a smoked salmon dish made by Susan Gage many years ago at a friend’s home, and it is still remembered as being absolutely outstanding.

Susan Gage Caterers were super professional, communicative, and efficient. We needed a caterer for an event with a 2-week turnaround time, and they did not disappoint! Our guests loved the food, and their staff was very professional. Would definitely work with them again in the future!

We used Susan Gage in the spring for our firms anniversary dinner/event and it was amazing! We started planning in the late fall, and everything came together smoothly and it was super easy to communicate with the team— even as I had not planned an event like this before. I loved the personalization of not only the menus, but of the table settings and linens inspired by our firm and our event venue. Ann Ashley was our main contact, and we also communicated with Dakota Poe— they were awesome. The food was phenomenal. Sometimes I still think about it. :) Edit: we had a couple of people with allergies and they were super accommodative!

Highly recommend working with Susan Gage! We worked with them for our 190 person wedding, and the whole experience was noting short of impeccable. The service during the planning process and day of was top notch. Most importantly, the food and drinks on the day of the event was delicious. If you are looking for a caterer look no further!

Susan Gage catered my wedding and they were amazing in every way. I got a lot of quotes from other caterers and did some tastings, and was really underwhelmed by the cost and quality of the other caterers. Susan Gage prepared a menu that was exactly what I asked for and beyond, accommodated some significant allergies, and was incredibly delicious. They had a limited but perfect set of choices for things like chairs and place settings, which was great as I was experiencing significant decision fatigue. They were also organized, professional, and friendly, and were like having a second wedding planner. The guests raved about the food and they sent me home with a package of leftovers and goodies.

They catered our wedding and many said it was the best food they ever had. Delicious and professional beyond expectations.

OMg attended a Sunday brunch that was catered. It was delicious! There were mimosas and sparkling water poured and ready. There was an elaborate Bloody Mary bar with various vodkas, juices, garnishes, etc. But the food stole the show. The mushroom and chicken crepes were incredible. Very full and flavorful that had a sauce that made them even more mouth watering. The sweet syrup from the French toast completed that savor dish. There was a bread basket with all types of treats. Butter and jelly accompanied it. There was a basil tomato strata that was another surprise hit. I ran out of stomach room and did not try the parfaits but a friend had more than one! Never did a dish get less than 20% full before it was replaced. The staff were so efficient. There was a fancy printed menu on the table too. I highly recommend!

We have attended numerous events catered by Susan Gage. Food quality and presentation have consistently been nothing short of exceptional. When it came time to plan our own wedding, we were eager to connect with them. We never received a returned call from our assigned contact despite leaving numerous voicemails and texts. I caught her once while she was driving; she promised to return my call that afternoon by end of day, but nothing. I called the main office twice to explain I wasn't getting a response after a month waiting and was hurriedly transferred through each time to my sales contact. So sad as we had really hoped to work with the best caterer in the DC area. Was shocked at their level of dysfunction handling a simple request and their lack of care and concern for the customers that know and love them.

Susan Gage Caterers catered a holiday lunch at my workplace, and it was magical. A beautiful arrangement of food and drinks that tasted just as good as it looked--a rarity for most catering companies!

Worth every penny. They are more than caterers. They worked with us leading up to the event in our obsessive detail. During the event they helped in anyway possible. Blair who was our coordinator had expertise on all areas of the party and helped in any way he could. He is professional, friendly and I think I might just invite him to Thanksgiving. They specialize in providing every item you will need and they did. Their staff swoops in, sets up, discretely serves food and drink, packs up, cleans up and leaves you with nothing more to do. They made our party manageable and a very classy event.

The non-profit I work for has been using Susan Gage for years, and I had the pleasure of using her for the first time last month- and oh my goodness, she is just incredible. The food, her staff, her responsiveness- she has earned every perfect review she's received (which is all of them, from what I can tell). Also, she is an absolute delight in person!

We used Susan Gage for our engagement party this past fall and the food was absolute perfection! The team of staff that came was so much fun, and we so enjoyed the event they put on. They truly do more than simply cater. I have had the pleasure of working with Daniela, and am now doing so again for my wedding this spring. I have used Susan Gage caterers 1-2 times a year for the past few years and they could not be any more professional. The staff, the food preparation, the service, the clean up.....I am able to enjoy my event knowing that everything is handled and executed well. Susan Gage is the best! I coordinate many events for a large law firm in Washington, D.C. and Susan Gage is our go-to caterer for all our important events. She is a full service caterer who offers everything you would need from amazing food, courteous staff, beautiful linens, to amazing flowers. I agree with a previous reviewer that said Susan Gage does more than just cater. Her staff handles everything and makes the event much more enjoyable for everyone involved. Note: her sliders are the best I've ever had!

Spectacular. We were lucky to have Susan as the caterer for our wedding. My in-laws have used her for several events in the past, so suggested her for our wedding. We are so thankful for them connecting us with her. Because of Susan, we had a dream wedding. Of course, I'm biased, but our food was the best food at a wedding than we ever had. Since it was our wedding, I didn't eat nearly as much as I wanted to, despite the fact that we had servers "assigned" to us (I couldn't fit much more into my dress!). Passed hors d'ouvores included mini pizza, olive-feta-watermelon, mini crab tostada, and mini sliders. Had a great raw bar during cocktail hour as well. She did his and hers signature cocktails. First course: gorgeous, delicious yellow tomato gazpacho with a tower of avocado and hearts of Palm. For dinner, we did stations: South American (chicken, steak, ceviche, mango rice, plantains), risotto bar (many choices to add in), raclette, and the most unique--avocado bar (almost like make your own tacos, but using half an avocado instead of a tortilla). Chose not to do a full wedding cake, instead opted for a dessert table. Also had mini ice cream sundaes with salted caramel corn. Late night snack of heart-shaped grilled cheese. In addition to the food, Susan was essentially an event planner as well. She had really great suggestions for our tent and valet services. And her staff (Darien and Amber) were super helpful in making the event a success. I cannot identify a single thing that went wrong that day. Without question, Susan is the best. If you want perfection, look no further, you've found it with Susan Gage.

After reading a glowing review in the Washington Post I immediately reached out to SGC and booked them for my recent housewarming party. Daniela my account executive came to my home and helped me flush out the party layout and offered cost-cutting suggestions when applicable. The team was friendly, conscientious, and the space was immaculate after they left. My guests loved the food and the presentation. I hope to have an occasion to hire them again soon.

Susan Gage was the perfect choice for my daughter's wedding. They understood our vision and brought it to life beautifully. From start to finish, they were professional, kind and responsive. The food was spectacular and the service was impeccable. I am so glad that we found Susan Gage to cater the bunch reception at our wedding. The service was impeccable from the start. We received a quick response to our emails and inquiries, and I was always able to rest easy knowing that Susan Gage would handle everything that we needed. Our Account Executives, Andrea and Casey, did a wonderful job of making our vision come to life. They put together a beautiful coffee bar (which was very important to us!) and executed the perfect tablescape based on our 'rustic fall' vision - even the presentation of the scones on the tables was lovely! Most importantly, the food was fantastic. The hors d'oeuvres were served at the perfect temperature throughout the entire cocktail hour, and we are still getting compliments on how great everything tasted. I cannot recommend Susan Gage Caterers highly enough!
