Amazing place! We went for a quick dinner bite and were not disappointed! The place is small, but cozy! We were greeted by a server and got sat down immediately. For drinks we got Asahi. Then my bf went for omakase nigiri’s chef choice, and I got 1000 bucks roll and classic albacore roll with avocado, which was 50% off, since they have deals on Mondays. My bf’s daughter ate Washington roll and Salmon Ceviche. The cheaper roll was also 50% off. We all enjoyed our meals and will def come back! 10 out of 10. Highly recommend to everyone.

This is the only restaurant I regularly come back in LA. It might look like a mediocre sushi restaurant from outside but their food is one of the best in the US. I remember I went to a 100 year old sushi restaurant in Tokyo and was so amazed by their tuna sushi. The chef here brings me back to that experience. His sushis are surprisingly fresh and tender, his rolls are full of fresh ingredients. Their service is impeccable. My family always leave this place feeling so fulfilled and happy.

Really good and cozy place. The fish is always fresh. Come here if you want some fresh and melting in your mouth salmon 🍣 Cool perk of this place it’s open till 10pm which is super convenient for us. P.S what I really like is that their tables are extremely clean. Not like in other sushi places where your hands basically stick to the table 😃

Sushi Ajito has honestly some of the best sushi I’ve ever had. Just amazing food and great service! I always make sure to stop in when I’m around the LA area. Their salmon sushi is a signature dish! Be warned: if you are trying it out for the first time, it definitely won’t be the last time you eat there! :)

Super sweet owners and incredibly fresh sashimi. I got the 19 piece platter and was very happy with my meal. This place is a gem. When I went in, I noticed that the owners greeted everyone extremely warmly and had a bunch of regulars coming back. The auntie working the front of the house made me feel like I’m family eating at her house ^____^ Definitely give this place a try!!!

Ren was one of the best servers we've had in years, super friendly, helpful and attentive! 10/10 service and the fish was so fresh and delicious. Made it a point to share the chef's specialties, the marinated salmon! Just a very pleasant, experience and one of those places you can easily become a regular.

lunch special is exactly that : SPECIAL. I had the chirashi and it came with some amazing cuts of sushi...hamachi, salmon, sea bass, albacore, marinated salmon. this is probably the best place I've had in LA for sushi. the humble atmosphere is homey and perfect for a cute date or dinner with a group of friends. thank you!!!

You have to try the Yuzu Ebi mayo appetizer. It's single handedly my favorite thing. I get it everything I bring someone and it's always a hit. I had the Harbor combo cuz I wanted a spicy tuna roll and some sushi I feel like it's a bang for it's bucks. So good I forgot to take a photo :/ It includes a beat pickled?? salmon sushi and it has like this pink lining around it and it's a upgrade to the regular salmon. The chef puts you salt and real Wasabi toppings, which are so good you don't have to dip it in the soy sauce. The chef and the waiter are super friendly too. I went a few times and the chef sometimes gives me more than I ordered. 10/10

The ambiance of this place is super peaceful! Our server was kind and very attentive (I have a food allergy and he made sure to let me know if anything. There was no wait and the food was delicious! We got the Baked Salmon Roll, the Tuna Lover, and the Calamari. We def will be coming back.

The freshest sushi I've ever had! We also really loved the jalapeno fried sushi roll appetizer!! Our server was very personable, chill and had such a calming voice. Space is small but cozy and you could tell all walks of life came in here for how great the fish is. Server was knowledgeable on which shipments of fish were the freshest. Will be coming back here when were back in california. Prices were fair for the quality! Chef smiled when we thanked him on the way out.

I am so impressed with this place. Everything and I mean everything is great. The food a WOW. Ordered Dragon roll, The Lion King Roll, baked lobster and scallop, WOW! The service was excellent. Highly recommend

The service is great! We went here under the new owners and were very satisfied with the service they provided. The restaurant has a very wholesome ambiance to it, plenty of space and lots of pictures to look at! The staff was extremely cordial and welcoming. Hands down the best sushi restaurant in town. Fresh fish with decent prices. Japanese family owned with great service. Authentic. Always a variety of fish on hand. AMAZING!!!! The ambiance is relaxing, especially the music. Food was delicious and the seaweed salad was on point. Daniel served us and he was so patient and accommodating. Even gave my nephew and extra treat because he shared his mochi ice cream lol. Love love love definitely going back.

This place is a hidden jewel. We had the best experience there. Daniel was our waiter and he was the absolute best. He was very attentive, friendly and polite. I can't be more excited to leave this review. I am a sushi fanatic and this is my new go-to middle end sushiya in LA. TL;DR: The nigiri sushi served here is pretty much top of the line for the price range. Small, cozy place with great service (shoutout to Daniel like the other reviews!). Kitchen entrees are really good too. I'm not a roll person, but it makes me want to try rolls too because everything I've tried so far have been amazing quality. If you want actually good sushi without breaking your bank, support this budding family-run business with me! I'm a sushi lover who is obsessed with finding good sushi restaurants. I've tried most high-end omakase in LA, OC, SD area, but hey, let's face it. With inflation these days, most omakase at high-end places are now at least $200 per person and that's just too expensive. It's good, but I have been feeling like it's just not worth it. So what's been my mission is to find a middle-end sushi place that hits the sweet spot with taste, price, and consistency. My go-to spot used to be Sushi Komasa in Little Tokyo, but they closed permanently during COVID.. I have been mourning Komasa until recently I found THIS little gem in Hollywood!! After coming here for about the 5th time, I've officially determined this is IT, and my search is OVER. Taste, price, consistency are all great and what got me REALLY impressed is that almost every time I come back, I've been discovering new menus! Chef Hi is the new owner of this joint. I asked him where he was before and he told me this is his first time having his own restaurant (AWWW). He seems to be always experimenting and coming up with new ideas and I just LOVE the passion and the craftsmanship!!! Here's the detailed breakdown. Food: Nigiri (sushi) - the reason it's been so hard to find good middle-end sushiya for me is because I am very picky when it comes to nigiris. The neta (fish) can't be too big or too thick because it will be overpowering. Of course it has to be fresh, and here it has been fresh each time! The shari (rice) is usually where the problem is for me because many middle-end sushiya make their shari too sweet or too cakey or too big.. The best part about Ajito is that the nigiris have good neta-shari ratio and the rice is seasoned just right! You actually have to be very skilled to make good nigiris because you need to precisely control the amount of rice and how hard you press on the rice for the nigiri to have a balanced taste, and Chef Hi always delivers! If you love salmon, try their beet marinated salmon. I usually prefer less fatty fish, but the beet tones it down on the fattiness which made it perfect for me. Overall, their nigiri is top notch. Some pieces I would not have been disappointed if it was served to me at a high-end omakase forreal! Mini Kaisen Don - this is one of the new menus they added recently and I am so obsessed. I want to come here everyday to eat it. It's perfect because Chirashi bowl portion is too big, but this one I can have it as an appetizer. It's sooooo good.... A MUST-HAVE! Tempura - All of the fried appetizer dishes are super good, but YO the Yuzu Ebi Mayo? It's a hit!!! Fried shrimp tossed in mayo, ok, that's good but it could be a bit heavy, but the hint of citrus taste of yuzu is such a nice little touch! This is also my staple order when I visit now! One thing I want to highlight is every time I tried fried dish here, I can tell they use fresh oil each time. Sometimes at other restaurants I can tell they re-use their oil, but here it tastes very clean. The batter is crunchy and airy which is exactly how I like it! Also never comes out overcooked which is sometimes the case at other places. Pros and Cons: Pros -Parking is super easy! Im so happy I don't have to go to Little Tokyo anymore. -Service is super great! Both the ambiance and the service here is calm & friendly vibe. -This is the best part for me, they charge Nigiri order by 1 piece as opposed to 2 pieces at most other places!!! For a person like me who can't eat a big portion, but wants to eat a good variety, this is grace. Perfect to come in a small party or even by myself! Cons -It is quite small! If I remember correctly 4 or 5 tables inside and a couple outside + the sushi bar. Probably not great for a big party. I guess that's why Nigiris are sold by 1 piece to tailor to customers that come in smaller groups. Good move!! -I really really wish they had draft beer. But draft beer is only worth it for restaurants if they get a lot of customers who order alcohol because if the turnover rate is too slow, it's a big waste. Hopefully by writing this review I'm helping them get more customers.. lol Go drink here, folks!! All in all, I really hope to see this restaurant grow which is why I'm writing this extra heartfelt review. Always excited to come back here!!

Absolutely AMAZING!! Our server Ren was fantastic and attentive. I recently got back from a trip to Tokyo & this was the closest quality I've had to it since living in LA. Shrimp app was great. The marinated salmon, unagi, and tuna nigiri were fantastic. So was the 1000 roll!! Coming back soon! 10/10.

We love coming to eat sushi and have a beer here! The chef made a role specially requested by us, and they made it seem so easy and not a problem at all. And it was amazing, just like what we wanted. This is our second time coming, the first time it was also really good and the service was so quick. Quality roles and a great quiet location. Def would recommend out of all the places in the area.

Hidden gem! I started ordering delivery during Covid, and am so happy to able to come in to eat. Here at least once per month. Spicy tuna on rice is a goto and the Lion king roll. We've been exploring more and enjoying the chefs new creations. Here's the oysters. Delicious.

Don't let the ratings on yelp fool you! This place is a hidden gem if you're looking to get your sushi fix satisfied. This is an overdue review but I've had a chance to try Sushi Ajito with a group of friends a couple weeks ago based on my friend's recommendation and I was pleasantly surprised. This is a small family owned restaurant with some bar seatings and a few tables. There is a small parking lot within the mall structure so I didn't have to circle 10 times around the block to find a parking. I'll let the pictures explain themselves for the food but everything from freshness to taste, and presentation, it couldn't get any better than this for the price. I also appreciated the rice/fish proportion of the sushi, the cuts were thick and the rice wasn't to big.Good balance. The kitchen foods came out fresh and hot, I enjoyed every last bite of them! Our server Daniel was quick and attentive too and the dinner was a hit. All of us left happy with a full belly! This place is perfectly accessible if you want to skip the gimmicks and just enjoy good foods. I'll definitely be returning in the future.

The food was super tasty. The miso soup came with lots of little pieces of tofu and the soy sauce was tastier than other places. The server Daniel was very knowledgeable on the food and he made sure to recommend when I didn't know what I wanted. He also made sure to clean our table whenever he can so we would fit more food in our table.

A little pricy when looking at the menu, but it makes so much sense once we got our food. Everything was amazing, many of the pictures of the rolls are half gone because we were so impressed! The fish cuts were amazing. Daniel our waiter was so attentive and gave us recommendations. The ambiance was cute and I loved the music playing because it wasn't too loud or overpowering but added to the environment. Can't wait to come back!

I haven't been here for over 10 years when I used to live down the street. Last time I was here I was on a date with Lu now baby daddy. I'm now here with my 10 year old son and some friends. They were very great with excellent service and great at accommodating our kids. Very attentive and friendly and the food was prompt and fresh and delicious! Love the new decor too!

The sushi here is absolutely delicious and sooo fresh. It is the perfect mid range priced sushi and Chef Hi makes every dish a work of art. Service is quick and the staff is beyond kind. It is a casual ambiance making it a great spot to stop in any time. Definitely will be making this my regular sushi spot and it is worth the try if you haven't yet!
