Sushi Aria

Solid aesthetics to the restaurant with a good amount of seating both inside and out. The sashimi was fresh and had a great taste to it. The chicken with the chicken teriyaki dinner combo was crispy and pretty solid too. Next time I’d get the larger sashimi plate if I came with company.

Sushi Aria is a neighborhood staple. Looks great from the outside with welcoming flowers and cute patio perfect for happy hour drinks with friends or coworkers!🍻The special sashimi sampler plate was perfect for lunch for four(red snapper is melt in your mouth 🤤🐟)and we also got the 911 and Ken Special rolls which were👌👌👌especially if you like spicy food! Really nice owner, he gave us some sake on the house😉😂🥂! It was a great time. Will be back as soon as possible for the great vibe and delicious food🍣🧡🩷

Went to this cute restaurant for lunch today and was very impressed. The atmosphere was nice and the food was absolutely delicious. The sashimi was melt-in-your-mouth and the rolls were packed with flavor. The patio was lovely with nice furnishing and flowers. Would recommend this spot to anyone who enjoys good sushi!

Fantastic sushi with fantastic service. Extra friendly staff who was very helpful in picking out our order. The food came quick and the sushi was some of the freshest I’ve ever had. Will definitely be back!

Update: 8/8/25 Manager reached out to me and refund a portion of my meal as well as getting credit to give them a second try. I really appreciate this from restaurant owner. Shows that he cares. YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT SUSHI IS SUPPOSED TO TASTE LIKE. I only finished my plate because I was paying for it no matter what. I'll never be back here nor recommend to anyone. All taste the same. Sushi is below standards. My tuna sushi 🍣 taste old and texture was like gum. People there are super nice which hate to leave such review but their food is not good at all. I walked away paying just a bit less than $150 and none of it was worth it even the Sake 🍶 was really bad and cheap. The 4.9 stars currently reviewing can only be of patrons who only ever buy cheap sushi like from Ralph's. Even whole foods has better quality sushi than here. Just looking at the color says it. Tuna is not meant to be bright pink or red like if it was the fake one for display. All the plates tasted the exact same. The spicy tuna tempura was pure rubber. Spicy mayo no flavor nor spice at all.

First time here and Brandon gave us such a warm welcome! He's super friendly and runs the place very professionally. The sushi is incredibly fresh thank you to Steve and Matthew for making everything so amazing. We tried the sashimi and it was amazing This place opened just a few months ago and caught my eye because of the name Aria which happens to be my son's name! I've been wanting to try it, and I'm so glad I finally did. Highly recommend this gem. Thank you to the entire Aria team!

Formerly Karma Sushi Bar, Aria is a recent addition to Ventura Blvd in the Sherman Oaks area. The carpaccio and crudo options are delish. I recommend the Hokkaido Scallop Carpaccio, Albacore Sashimi with Crispy Onion and Yellowtail Yuzu Sashimi. All great to share, and oh so fresh with delicious sauce and garnish. Service is efficient, the place is new and clean, and there's interior and exterior seating. As for the cons, their restroom sink was halfway flooded and they forgot one of our dishes. To their credit, they made efforts to make things right for us, which we truly appreciated. Parking is in the back (look for the Aria parking signs) or else you can find metered street parking out front.

Timothy was our server and he was very attentive! They also gave us a complimentary sashimi plate for our wait. Ordered the Ken Special (okay), the American Slam (delicious) and the Halloween Roll (very good). This was our first time and we'll be coming back. P.S. there is ample parking in the back!

Tried Aria for the first time today and it was soo good! Service was great and quick. All the sushi and food tasted amazing. Definitely will be coming back

The workers here are very kind and sweet. It made the whole experience much better to be frank. The fish itself was very fresh and melt in your mouth soft. The flavor was delicious and not fishy at all. The Ramen is actually very good as well, they make their noodles in house.

First time ordering from here and it was a positive experience . Order arrived in a timely manner and price was reasonable thx to the $ 10 coupon ! Food was tasty and came w all the necessary condiments- nice !

I was strolling by and seen the place and happened to be craving sushi. Absolutely great. As I hoped. Ordered a rainbow roll, sashimi with fried onions was delightful! Sevice was great. Attentive waiter. Loved sitting outside. Inside was nice too it was just too nice of a day. Wish they had more sampler type of options. I like variety.

I really enjoyed the food here. I got dumplings, rolls, mochi, and Saki. They were all so good. The service and the ambience were also really great. I highly recommend coming here.

Hands down the best sushi on Ventura Blvd! I've been to many sushi spots, but this place stands out in both taste and quality. Every piece of sashimi was incredibly fresh, and the presentation was next-level. All menu were full of flavor and melt-in-your-mouth goodness. What really elevated the experience, though, was the service. All staffs were genuinely kind and attentive, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. Located right on the main strip of Sherman Oaks, the spot is easy to find and parking is a breeze. There's plenty parking in the rear, and pro tip: the spacious bank lot next door is available in the evenings. Super convenient. Perfect for a date night or a relaxed family dinner. With Father's Day coming up, this is definitely the place to be. Will 100% be coming back.

Great sushi spot for both lunch and dinner. Has a beautiful patio, indoor seating along with a sushi bar. Extensive menu and variety of rolls, specialty rolls, ramen, and more. There is parking available in the back. Inside is clean and the ambience is a vibe. Great of also catching the game as they have 5 large screen TVs inside. Perfect spot for meeting up with friends to catch a bite with. Service is wonderful and attentive.

Stumbled upon Aria on a Friday night in Sherman oaks and let's just say I was NOT disappointed! Their sashimi was very fresh and flavorful!! The chef was as so attentive and friendly he made us feel welcomed the moment we stepped in. Turns out it was their soft opening! We will definitely be coming back!

This place is our regular sushi spot! it is delicious and all of the sushi is so fresh. There's also many options for people who don't eat sushi or raw fish so I definitely recommend! You won't get mad at the excellent service as well

Nice quiet place. Very fresh fish, with lots of choices. Reasonably priced There were many unusual roles in hand, cut selections on the menu and a very nice selection of fish for those who do not eat shellfish. Service was very attentive, and there was easily accessible pre-parking in the rear of the restaurant.

I almost don't want to write this review because then Aria will become super popular and I won't be able to get a seat again but wow! My wife and I took a chance and sat at the sushi bar for dinner and it really could not have been better. Brandon, Steve and Matthew took amazing care of us and the food was phenomenal. Highly recommend!

There has been a steady stream of sushi joints in and around this venue but it's like the finally got it right with Aria. The food is very fresh, and our server Brandon was very inviting and knowledgeable about the whole menu. We came here just to grab a drink and an appetizer, but couldn't help but stay for an early dinner. This place was gorgeous on one of the first days of spring. It was the perfect afternoon spot for a Saturday. I can't recommend it enough!

There was a bug that came out from the soy sauce when I poured it and the avocado was black and brown and spoiled in my avocado roll. No offer to make it right but all good, just make sure to check your food!

I visited Sherman Oaks with my friends last week. I loved the clean and pretty Sushi Aria and the parking lot behind the restaurant. It's so hard to park in that area, but this place had great parking. The restaurant was so clean and the food was so delicious. I had a really nice dinner and the staff was so friendly and helpful. I would love to have a nice dinner here again. Go there once. I would give it the best rating.

Great atmosphere and very professional staff inside. Ordered a lunch bento box which was lovely - especially the tempuras were crispy and delicious. Spacious parking. Would definitely visit again!

Such a great experience - the food was delicious and service as first class. Recommend trying the 999 roll if you like spice and the Vegas roll if you like barbecue/ slightly sweet. Brandon served us and he was the best!

I'm honestly very happy. I'm a real customer. Had a sushi there and I enjoyed it. I tried them all. He tuna, Ikura and salmon, and it was all good. Miso soup was very fresh.

I absolutely love this restaurant! The food is terrific. Our server was fabulous - so attentive and accommodating in everyway. We ordered a combination dinner with salmon teriyaki and sushi. It was fresh and delicious and came on a timely basis. Nice ambiance and reasonable prices.

Went to Aria for the first tonight and sat at the Sushi bar. Very good food! The sashimi combo was excellent and flavorful. We also had a couple rolls which were extremely fresh and tasty. The prices are quite reasonable and the vibe is unpretentious and friendly. Will definitely go back as it's affordable and pretty close too.

Our server was so accommodating and the sushi was very good. They were happy to adjust rolls for us and had the cutest kids meal tray for a 1 year old in our party.

Stopped by to check out what became of this spot after Karma and found Aria. Old fashioned Japanese spot with a very big list of rolls menu complete with pictures. They had one server working like a pinball in a half-full restaurant but he did a superb job being prompt and attentive. I had two of the sashimi appetizers in Albacore with onions and Yelllowtail with Yuzu along with Dragonfly and Marilyn Mon-Roll, all from the server's recommendations. He really raved about the quality of their yellowtail and it did not disappoint! Overall vibe of the restaurant is welcoming and a couple of families dining at the same time seemed to be having a ton of fun with their kids being entertained by the server. I am definitely coming back for some of the recommendations my stomach could not cash in this time around. And oh, there is a free parking behind the restaurant so don't pay for parking on Ventura!

We've dined here 4 times in the past 6 weeks. Our absolute favorite new sushi restaurant, and we've tried many in the valley. Whether you want sushi, sashimi, and/or choosing from an extensive list of creative rolls, this is your place!!!

Too expensive, many better options out there. Good luck. I can get all You can eat for $35 which has sashimi rounds and same quality as this place, so again good luck.

We love this new sushi restaurant! The fish was fresh and they had so many rolls and menu options to choose from! The service is outstanding, friendly and responsive. Plenty of parking in the back. The inside is modern and comfortable. We can't wait to go back!

I came here today with my wife. The service was great. The restaurant is clean and has a nice ambience. The albacore sushi roll was fresh and very tasty. My wife got the chicken skewers. Will be back again to try some other rolls.

I stopped by on a whim with a friend early Saturday evening, and I can confidently say this was some of the best sushi I've ever had. The service was outstanding, the fish was exceptionally fresh, and the flavors were both complex and perfectly balanced. You really can't go wrong here. Whether you're ordering appetizers, classic rolls, or sashimi, every bite is a hit. Everything we tried was flawless. Since this is a new spot in the area, do yourself--and them--a favor by checking it out!

Guys.... This was a 10/10 for my fiancé and I. I'm a little bit of a sushi snob and this place blew me away! The homemade eel sauce (they make all of their sauces in house) to the chefs albacore everything was perfection. Oh and we order 6 different items from the menu and they all were top notch! Go and see Brandon who was the best server! His energy was contagious!
