Sushi Bang Bang - Review - Cedar Park - Austin - The Infatuation

"Bang Bang is anall-you-can-eatsushi spot tucked inside aCedar Parkstrip mall, with a long, narrow dining room that’s dark, sparkly, and lined with giant fish murals that give off aquatic nightclub energy. You order by filling out a sheet of paper, then wait patiently as your food is prepared. It can take a while, but at least that’s (hopefully) an indicator that everything is made fresh. Unlike other AYCE places, there’s no time limit on dining here. It’s a slow-and-steady volume game with pretty good food at a set price. As far as AYCE sushi goes in the Austin area, this is one of the better options." - Nicolai McCrary

We stopped by for their AYCE. The restaurant is located in a shopping center, so parking is easy. We loved the front décor with the wooden slats and plants. The ambient lighting was nice, though it made the menu a bit hard for me to see, and there are plenty of tables inside. We went close to closing time for the lunch buffet, which wasn’t ideal since we had to rush to order before last call (about 30 minutes before lunch ends). The staff were friendly and courteous. Sushi came out quickly, while items from the kitchen took a bit longer. Everything was fresh and delicious. We maxed out the sushi/sashimi limit on our first round. Our favorites were the takoyaki, meat skewers, stir-fried shrimp, some of the fried appetizers, and fried banana & green tea ice cream. The fried rice was bomb—great wok hei! One thing to note: if you’re mainly a sushi/sashimi fan, you may not get your full money’s worth due to the per-person limit. But if you enjoy regular sushi rolls (we usually skip rolls since they take up too much stomach real estate 😂) and a variety of appetizers and hot dishes, this AYCE is definitely worth it. Also, some grilled and stir-fried dishes come in full portions, so it’s good to ask before ordering.

This review is long overdue! My 6 year old and I love this place! We do the all you can eat and it's always delicious. They have a extensive menu and the quality is great. We will keep coming back. They always have good music playing but it's not too loud. Oh and kids under a certain height are half of all you can eat. I'll be sad when mine grows out of that. Lol.

I finally made the trip to Sushi Bang Bang today! I must say the service there is spectacular. The waiters were super kind and attentive at all times. They would even recommend dishes to me. During my stay there, I tried out their sashimi, nigri, and some sushi rolls. The sashimi and nigri were both very fresh; the menu was limited and the sushi was okay ( a little bit flavorless) Despite everything, I still would consider this restaurant very special, especially for people who are treating themselves or their loved ones. Out of the many AYCE restaurants that I have been to, they’re probably the only AYCE restaurant that added floral decorative piece to my dishes. It was a nice touch to see while dining. Kan Sushi is still my favorite AYCE, but I would come to Sushi Bang Bang again-just because of well their service is.

Google
Went for the AYCE option and it was really good! The 2hr. Limit is more than enough time to enjoy an array of tasty rolls, sashimi and other small dishes. There is a limit on the premium items and some of the rolls can be quite sauce heavy but overall a great experience.

Google
The food was great! I would rate 10/10 The weekly recommendations Bluefin Tuna was the best I ever had! I would definitely recommend my friend and family come here for AYCE! Love this place!

Google
Sushi Bang Bang on 183 is a solid spot, especially if you like trying new menu items. Make sure to get the newly added dishes because they are absolutely worth it. The poke taco was fire and easily one of the highlights of the meal. All of the fried items were insanely crunchy and not greasy at all. You can tell they are made fresh right before serving. Everything came out hot, crisp, and perfectly cooked. Great flavors, fresh ingredients, and a fun menu that keeps evolving. Definitely a go-to sushi spot in North Austin.

I entered this establishment looking for a challenge. I sought to cross blades with a worthy opponent, butt what I discovered changed me, for I was the one who was unworthy. The atmosphere, aesthetic, and most importantly the unfathomably delicious feast transported me to another plane of existence. I was enlightened by the sushi and find myself in a state of tranquility I had never known before. The food was pretty good.

Google
This is my go to place for sushi, I have been coming here for years now! The all you can eat option is the best deal, and everything is so fresh and delicious every time. The service is wonderful, and there is never a long wait. Highly recommend.

Yelp
This is the only AYCE sushi joint I've found in the Cedar Park area. P2 and I wanted to celebrate a milestone, so we tried Sushi Bang Bang. We came here Thursday evening for dinner and opted for the $38 AYCE. The server explained how the process worked, like how some choices are limited in quantity by order and how there's no limit to how much we could order. Throughout the evening, we ordered sashimi, nigiri, specialty rolls, hand rolls, appetizers, and desserts. We were given a new ticket each time we ordered to mark what we wanted to order next. Two pencils were provided so each of us could note what we wanted. The food came out fast, and we could see the sushi chefs diligently working on each new order that came in. We were pleasantly surprised to see that all the servers worked to help each other. There were four of them that night, and each one either brought out our food, answered our questions, or took a new order. Their processes were so streamlined that we felt the entire team was looking after us! The meat-to-rice ratio is excellent, meaning they don't overstuff their sushi with rice. Their hand rolls are taco style, which took some time to get used to. But again, a lot of fish compared to how much sushi rice was served in the roll. We were there for about an hour and a half and never felt rushed to leave. The food was delicious, and the fish was fresh enough. They don't have the freshest fish, but the quality is above the norm we have in Austin. There's a quiet ambiance inside, suitable for conversations. Depending on where you sit, it is dimly lit. But overall, we genuinely enjoyed our experience here and would love to revisit it!

Yelp
We came after seeing a tik tok video by Austin food blogger a taste of koko to try their all you can eat menu, which is charged at $37.99 for adults and children over 4 feet tall. They have 9 kinds of sashimi to choose from and the restaurant implements a maximum sashimi rule. Each person is allowed to order a maximum number of 3 pieces per kind of fish for a total of 27 pieces of sashimi per person. Unlike the tik tok video we saw where the sashimi pieces were thick, the salmon sashimi we got were not even thoroughly cut through when served. All of the sashimi pieces were thinly sliced so pretty standard for AYCE and we didn't find anything extraordinary. Their super white tuna comes with yellow sauce on top, which I didn't enjoy. Their nigiri was very good, the fish was thick and sushi rice was flavorful. The hand rolls were pretty massive and fully filled. The soup for their udon was tasty. The chicken karaage was pretty bland in my opinion. Tempura was fresh and crisp. Shrimp were not small. They also serve full size rolls. There is no limit on their other food items but they implement a leftover charge of $1 per piece of food item. Ample parking. Establishment was clean but service was a bit slow. Waiters didn't come by very often to clear plates. Restroom was clean.

Yelp
This is the 3rd times I came back but this time is not a good experience. food is good...service bad and management are bad, they don't let u change table even tho you don't like the table or feel uncomfortable sitting there (I asked twice) I saw few tables empty but they kept giving it to bigger party or someone else. They was a plastic in my wasabi cup and I gave it to them, they only took the plastic and gave it back to me...they didn't even changed the new cup or new wasabi. I won't go back unless someone ask me to meet them there...not worth the price, I would rather go somewhere with better experience.

Yelp
The AYCE here is amazing! We have tried a few places in Austin but they have some flavors and combinations I've never had here. It was really unique and for a great price $35 I believe. The presentation is great, they bring it out on these long boards for the table which make them easy to see and pick from. The limited order for AYCE is some of the best fish I have ever had. I'm talking about the pepper kimchi tuna. Normally, I'm not a big fan of tuna sashimi in general because the texture is tougher than salmon but it was so nice here!! It was buttery and soooo soft. Incredible. I'd definitely come back here.

Yelp
I love a good ayce sushi! Everyone knows sushi can be quite expensive if you want to get full! Sushi bang bang was truly a great bang for your buck!! The staff worked as a team which was very effective. Everyone was so nice and they were sure to check back with us after food was delivered& Take care of empty plates promptly . I was impressed with the service here. The establishment was decorated nicely lots of paintings, and modern decor. It was also very clean in both the dining and restroom area. The food was actually pretty good for the AYCE deal lots of options to choose from! We tried quite a few things: Kimchi white tuna -4.5/5 Yellow tail Jalapeño4.5/5 Marilyn roll-3/5 needed more spice or acid. Maybe a sauce. The tempura mushroom, zucchini and shrimp 4/5 - not too greasy, perfect fry and flavor. Tempura scallop was different- didn't care for the sauce it came in 3.5/5 Super white tuna sushimi and nigiri- 5/5 very light with a sweet refreshing sauce across the top! Spicy tuna maki-4.5/5 Monster roll 3/5 The jalapeño popper was good.4/5 Shumai was my favorite ! So much flavor in a small bite-5/5 Vanilla ice cream was good 5/5but I wish it was mochi instead. Fried Oreo-3.5./5 had a odd flavor and I usually love fried Oreos The sushi rice didn't seem very fresh and some Rolls Seemed like they had a bit too much rice which is the reason I'm taking off one star however it was still a great alll around experience and great deal! I will definitely be back!

Yelp
Great food! One of the better place in Austin. There are many variety of non sushi options as well

Yelp
Absolutely hands down the freshest sushi in the Austin area! The staff is always quick to bring out the food and very helpful. We normally try to come here AT LEAST twice a month, it's truly my favorite restaurant! I get the AYCE sushi since we normally get a lot of nigiri and it can be pricey. FYI, you cannot share the AYCE pieces with someone who didn't want ask for AYCE. My go to order is... 3 salmon sashimi, 9 yellowtail nigiri, 9 salmon nigiri, Marilyn roll, Monster roll, Rainforest roll, 2 scallops, 2 crab sticks, gyoza, beef fried rice, and lastly 2 fried Oreos! (Split between two people)

Yelp
We would give this place 4.5 stars if we could! We made reservations and we were so glad we did, since it was a Saturday night. The ambiance is really pretty and cozy, with big murals on the wall and nice lantern-like light fixtures. We were seated almost immediately and were able to get a corner table that felt private and comfortable. My husband and I both did the AYCE menu. The nigiri were delicious and we enjoyed the rolls as well. The tempera shrimp and veggies were hot and fresh, and the edamame were well-salted. We also enjoyed miso soup that was well-seasoned. The service was also wonderful! Waitstaff all seemed to help everyone, and we were checked up on regularly to make sure we were getting our orders in as needed. Overall, it was a great experience and we will be back.

Yelp
You know this might be one of those sushi reviews that I frankly just wasn't detailed enough and it's all because I ATE IT ALL and I had a food coma afterwards. I mean look at what was available for an all you can eat dine in experience for under $40. I will say, normally I'm full off 2 rolls and that could be a meal under $30 but for a little extra, why not try the dynamite shrimp appetizer, the single sashimi slices of different fish, tempura shrimp and vegetables, takoyaki ball, and all the sushi rolls I ordered. Amazing sushi rice, well balanced vinegar to sweet rice. Fluffy. The most important part of sushi rolls. Fresh avocados, flaky and smooth cuts of sashimi off every roll, the low oil tasting flash fried sushi roll, all the amazing sauces on top, wonderful experience. Must try.

Yelp
Wow! For an All You Can Eat (AYCE) sushi place, I was impressed with the quality and selection. It was worth the price. We enjoyed the different sashimi, nigiri, and special roll options. Our favorites were the Eel Nigiri, Yellowtail Nigiri, Mackerel Nigiri, and Salmon Roe Nigiri. The Green Tea Ice Cream for dessert was a perfect ending. I will go back and recommend that everyone give it a try. Food: 5/5 - Great quality for an AYCE place Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 4/5

Yelp
Amazing food quality! Came here with my daughters and had a great experience. Definitely coming back soon!

Yelp
I stopped by for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. This restaurant has a special they try to feature... All you can eat for just under $40. I have several friends that say that's a deal and they really enjoyed it. This was my first visit and I wasn't all in on doing it all you can eat. I just wanted something a little simpler a few pieces and a roll. The food was tasty, but I was not overly impressed. The price was very reasonable for the quality and quantity received. Service was Top Notch... Greeted me immediately consistently check back to make sure everything was going well. The restaurant was jampacked, but staff kept everything moving and did not feel rushed in. The restaurant. Had a very nice feel to it... Very clean and welcoming. I was a little disappointed with the roll falling apart... Although that could be part operator error as it has been a day or so since I've held a pair of chopsticks in my hand I will be back and tried other delicacies from their menu... I might even give the all you can eat a try

Yelp
Good quality sushi rolls, nigiri, appetizers, and desserts. I did AYCE, and I was pleasantly surprised with all of the sashimi and nigiri options. The food was fresh, they were efficient with the timing of the food, and the ambiance was nice. The staff was very kind and attentive to our needs. My boyfriend and I loved the specialty rolls, especially the Fancy Phoenix roll! $37.99 per person is an amazing value for all the tasty sushi! We went late at night on a Saturday evening and were shocked to hear that we did not need a reservation. I am giving it a 4-star rating because I did feel rushed when looking through all of the options to order on the AYCE menu, and a few items we ordered did get lost in translation as the host kept giving us more slips of paper when we wanted to add another item during the dining visit.

Yelp
I've been coming to this place for years and here's what I have to report: Pros: 1. Sushi is tasty and fresh 2. Service is great 3. Wait times are not long 4. When getting to go, there's always a lot of silverware, soy sauce packets, etc 5. I've tried other things on the menu besides sushi, and I thought those were great too Cons: 1. The prices have hiked up considerably over the years to the point where it's almost getting insane. 2. Because of the prices, the "all you can eat" is only worth it if you can finish maybe 4 rolls .. or more depending on what you get. I honestly believe the good outweighs the bad here, but the prices can be a turn off considering what they were a few years ago. But I would still consider going anyway.

Yelp
Me and my husband we both love this place . The restaurant's atmosphere is lively and modern design. It's a great place for both casual lunch specials and nice dinner meals! Love that they have so many vegetarian options to choose from in all categories : Appetizers, Entrée, Sushi's etc ! They offer lunch special on weekdays which is a actual steal deal ! Lot of food for what you pay .. Price is on point ! I have tried almost all of their veggie - rolls, tempura, Goya , fried tofu dishes . Whether you're in the mood for a classic roll or something more adventurous I bet this place will not disappoint you ! It's located in the Noth austin lakeline target complex.. behind At&t , blaze pizza. Lots of parking available in the complex !

Yelp
Came here for ayce sushi and it was decent! The fish was pretty fresh, I would like to preface that we came in really hungry and wanted to eat a lot. The nigiri had an excessive amount of rice to where we all would halve the rice for each piece since there was so much. If I were to come back I would keep ordering the sashimi with a side of rice and build your own. I did appreciate the fact that they did have sashimi on the ayce menu also! The service was great otherwise and the inside of the restaurant was beautiful! It was pretty busy on a Sunday around 6 and we were seating about 15 minutes after arrival with 3 parties in front of us. Good experience, not the best....very pretty to look at!
google avatar

Yelp
Food was delicious! Comes with AYCE appetizers, maki, rice and noodles, tempura, and special rolls. Ambiance of the place was nice, inside was clean, service was excellent. The food came out in a timely manner, we didn't have to wait long at all. Will be back :)

Yelp
Wonderfully worthy. The best AYCE sushi with quality ingredients. Great service, charming ambiance, and mouthwatering melt in your mouth deliciousness. I went in solo for lunch on a Monday and was the only one which is perfect for me since I loathe crowds. But nothing but love filled my senses with every bite of this banging sushi spot. Just go!

Yelp
Nut allergy warning: Peanut Avocado roll, Dynamite roll, and fried rice (at least) have nuts that I've noticed. Make your server aware. $48ish after tax and tip for AYCE. We arrived at 7:15PM on Lunar New Year's and surprisingly only had one party in front of us. It took about 6 minutes to get seated. They do accept reservations! Ordering is performed on two sheets per table. I recommend making tally marks next to boxes with a party and writing the sums in the boxes. Orders will start to come out about 15-30 minutes after turning your sheet in (we found that hot food comes out fastest, then rolls, then sashimi/nigiri; sometimes sashimi would be faster). Make sure you budget some time or order a lot up front if you're on a crunch. For record we spent over two hours here on three rounds of ordering. The sushi quality is average. Our salmon sashimi was the table's least favorite, and the eel nigiri was a favorite. We had most of the rolls and didn't love or hate any in particular, though the soybean wrapped one was huge. I first came to Bang Bang in 2018 and they still load the rolls with a lot of filling rice. The specials are all very good though (tempura scallops great and the daily special nigiri great). My friend also really, really liked their fried rice. I thought it was too oily. Overall, it's a solid sushi AYCE with a lot of options that provides good value but nothing exceptional.
google avatar

Destini W.

Yelp
The sushi here is kind of bland, but reliable. Get the predictable California rolls- you won't regret.
google avatar

Munsa M.

Yelp
Came here for dinner and we loved it!! We especially loved the edamame and the ramen. The sushi was overall pretty good but I wish their rolls were a little better quality with less rice. We are so much we were so full!! The service was really great as well!!
google avatar

Britney L.

Yelp
Pretty good for AYCE sushi. the rolls were decent. they had sashimi but it was limited to 4 piece per person so we ended up getting more nigiri later on. the fish quality was good for an AYCE. our server was nice and helpful. we came in saying we had a reservation but the host said there wasn't any under my name. luckily, they were accommodating and gave me the next table available.
google avatar

Samantha S.

Yelp
10/10! The food is fireeeee! The service is amazing! And we loved the ambiance! My boyfriend and I did the AYCE option and it was just about $40 a person and absolutely worth it! Our favorite was the Crazy Tuna Roll!
google avatar

Edmund L.

Yelp
The best all you can eat sushi spot I have been to in the Austin area. Was surprised they provide sashimi options as well, though it is limited to 3 pieces per type, per person. Rolls were yummy as well and had a good balance of fish to rice. Would highly recommend folks get the green tea ice cream for dessert. If I find myself having sushi cravings again, I will definitely come back. Service was very good. Servers were very attentive. Also, if you leave a review they give you 10 percent off. It was worth it for the food by itself, but this is extra icing on the cake.
google avatar

Ken K.

Yelp
Great food at a great price. One of the best AYCEs in Austin. Would highly recommend visitors try this place
google avatar

Sam L.

Yelp
Sushi Bang Bang is the newest AYCE sushi place in Austin, TX. Food was really yummy and orders came out fast. I'd say this is a step above other all you can eat sushi spots in Austin. The quality of the sashimi was pretty good relative to the $38 price tag. Everything we ordered tasted really good except for maybe the shrimp nigiri. Dessert was solid. They offer fried Oreos and banana with 3 different types of ice creams. Will definitely be going back!
google avatar

Eina D.

Yelp
This review is solely based on the AYCE menu. I keep finding myself back here any time I'm craving salmon or eel nigiri as the fish tastes fresh, the portions are generous, and there is no cap on how much I can order. While the fish portion of the nigiri is generous, so is the rice, so something to keep in mind, BUT it is the best quality AYCE sushi I can find in Austin. I usually order sashimi so help split up all the rice, however the sashimi does come as cubes and, unfortunately, there is a limit to how much you can order. I didn't care much for the pepper tuna, egg cake or masago sashimi. I do appreciate the selection on the AYCE menu; there's a variety of rolls, appetizers, and other offerings to choose from. The portions are small so you're able to try a lot. Not much of a fan of the appetizers (the taste and texture is different than most other places), but the tempura hits the spot. I always end the meal with a tempura banana and ice cream. Service is top-notch; we were constantly being checked on and our waters were refilled in a timely manner. It does sometimes get busy during dinnertime so come early as they cut off the AYCE menu about an hour before they close.
google avatar

Carmen C.

Yelp
Sushi was good, so was the fried rice. I wish I would have come sooner, they stop serving at 2:30. All in all I a good visit
google avatar

Andrea G.

Yelp
Restaurant staff (all Asian) are NOT at all friendly towards black people or delivery drivers. I am a black woman and I picked up an order and the man working the front didn't even want to put the bag in my hand. I stretched out my hand for him to put the bag in my hand, and he placed it on the bench where I was sitting instead. I'll never eat or purchase anything from here ever again. Also not greeted when entering the building. Just a blank stare like, "What are you doing in here."

Kayla N.

Yelp
I've been to many AYCE sushi restaurants, and Sushi Bang Bang is on my top 3 list! They include sashimi in their AYCE, which is rare. They don't skimp on the quality of their appetizers either! By far, the best appetizers served! Aside from food, service is quick and the place is nicely decorated :)

Mike L.

Yelp
No good quality Very bed quality and service also too expensive and not much selections
google avatar

Chelsea L.

Yelp
It's been a while since I had sushi and really wanted AYCE. I was surprised with the plethora of options on the menu and liked the plate presentations! Maki rolls, nigiri, sashimi, ice cream, tempura, ramen, teriyaki, etc. Definitely overate (I didn't take as many pics as I should've ) Highly recommend the miso soup to help digest The green tea ice cream is so smooth and delicious!! The servers were also really nice and explained how to order. They also delivered the dishes quickly and asked about customizations (if edamame was to be spicy or normal).

Jeffrey K.

Yelp
We drove one and half hour for a good sushi spot. Unfortunately this is not it. We're from Vegas and Hawaii so the sushi is actually sushi. Not this place.. one of the worst places to go. Our waitress was okay very attentive but a young server needs help. When we received spoiled salmon in our poke bowl he didn't say anything and just said okay and walked in with the dish. They tried to cover the bad salmon below and good on top. Then all the fried dishes were overly fried, the fish wasn't fresh at all and none of the nigiri had any taste whatsoever so ever. Not even the spicy.. although the restaurant looks nice and ambiance is like a sushi place. Man it feels like we're on a journey looking for One Piece. 97$ for two people and we felt like we just ate a 10$ Chinese orange chicken. If they lowered the price to 20$ ayce okay it would make more sense.
google avatar

Anita D.

Yelp
I cannot in good faith recommend sushi bang bang to anyone who wants to enjoy edible sushi. The shrimp roll was some of the worst sushi we ever had and the others were mediocre at best. The sushi rice was literally rock hard and crunchy. The only good thing I can say about the seafood was that it didn't get me sick. The appetizers were oily and heavy. The ambience and service were okay but we had to wait 30 minutes past our reservation time to get seated. I have sworn off all you can eat sushi for the rest of my love and not appreciate the true value of quality over quality.

Summer P.

Yelp
Came here for my birthday and the service was phenomenal. Our server briefly explained the Ayce sushi and made sure to verify when I wanted certain dishes. The servers help each other out, as they quickly rid your table of empty plates and bring you your food as soon as it's ready. The sushi roll I ordered was flavored and presented perfectly. All requested tempura items came out crispy and hot, they were sooo yummy. I finished dinner off with the banana tempura topped with chocolate sauce and whipped cream which was also delicious. The environment was calm and the decor was beautiful. Overall a great place to eat!
google avatar

Maggie P.

Yelp
Always the best. Fresh delicious and great ambiance. Made from the kitchen not buffet. Yummy and selection is huge
google avatar

Misha S.

Yelp
I understand that this is an "All you can eat" place, but I found the fish mushy, the tempura almost inedibly oil logged, and the sauces on rolls strangely sweet all around! With tip, we ended up paying around 100 dollars for 2, and feel we could've gotten a much better meal for the price. We came here a few months ago and really enjoyed it, so I'm wondering if they were having an off night? Bonus points for actually having Diet Dr Pepper, always appreciated!

Yelp
Sushi is awesome. I had the spicy Maki Combo amazing, rainforest roll is also amazing. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Andy S.

Yelp
I wouldn't recommend the all you can eat option. For 37.99 per person, It's pretty pricey for all you can eat sushi. More importanThey limit you to only order 3 sashimi per person for the whole meal!!! I don't think it's what all you can eat is about. Those are not disclosed at the beginning. Beware of it. Foods are okay but not great. Mediocre signature rolls.

Yelp
Food: 4/5 Service:5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 Interior is cute and modern. Servers are very attentive! The ayce is a pretty good deal and it includes such a wide variety of items. I wanted to try so many things on the menu. Make sure you check the kitchen menu as well. I like that many items come as 1 pc so that I could try more on the menu. Items on the menu I'd recommend: -Kimchi white tuna- yum! Refreshing dish -Salmon sashimi- pretty good staple -eel nigiri - Can't go wrong with this -Sea roll- I liked this more than the fancy Phoenix roll even though I wasn't a fan of how the soy paper felt on my tongue when I first took a bite but once you chew the piece as a whole it leaves a pleasant taste -green tea! -green tea ice cream Other items I tried: -Tempura scallop - not impressed but don't hate it. Was fun to try. I enjoyed the big chunk of scallop -Age tofu- dark outside, not cooked the way I like agedashi tofu but I guess the name is different so it may be a different dish from what I expected -Shrimp tempura - not a fan - they flatten the shrimp and it tasted mostly of batter and had a soggy texture- probably could provide more sauce with it -Pepper tuna sashimi- not as flavorful as I expected but still fun to try -Fancy Phoenix roll- not a fan as it probably needs more sauce- the middle is a bit tasteless. Usually rolls with eel sauce doesn't need extra soy sauce but I did with this roll

Yelp
Really sweet customer service, and AYCE was a great value for the money! Poke bowl, spicy salmon maki roll, and Chao's roll were our favorites.

Yelp
TLDR: small, dark, date vibes, confusing ordering system, fresh, amazing sushi. My first impression of the restaurant when we walked in was that it was claustrophobic. The design and layout of the restaurant felt like it was more suitable for downtown Austin area. There is no feeling of comfort and intimacy other than the dimmed lighting and dark furniture. This gathering was for a 4 top birthday celebration for my mother. So this place might be more suitable for a 2 top date vibes. My whole table ordered 'all you can eat', which the paper process was entirely confusing. The whole table shares two papers (one for kitchen items and one for sushi items). We have to write the number of pieces we want for each person. So it's a whole ordeal trying to figure out who wants what along with HOW MANY TO ORDER. !!PENCIL HAS NO ERASER!! It's alot of brain work to figure out to order, since we weren't explained anything and we had to ask the waiter twice for clarification. When the food arrived the presentation was BEAUTIFUL. PICTURE WORTHY. It completely erases the whole experience of ordering . I took nice table pictures for FB for the birthday girl. This gained extra points. Food tastes FRESH, soft, delectable. Wasabi was soft and not as painful to the nose / eyes. Green tea ice cream was a perfect portion size and it was not grainy. It was very smooth and creamy. Everyone on the table has concluded that this place with replace our normal sushi spot from now on. Maybe the ordering system will be easier the more we go there.

Yelp
We came in on a Monday night so it we were the only table there for a while. We did the all you can eat and were pleasantly surprised. We started with the spicy edemame, it really wasn't very spicy, and a bit salty, the seaweed salad was great and the yellowtail jalapeno was nice and spicy. Next we ordered the shrimp fried rice and it was great but the chicken fried rice barely had any chicken in it. We then ordered salmon and super white tun sashimi, and that was very fresh. For rolls we ordered the Monster and Sea Roll and they were both good except we didn't like how chewy the seaweed wrap was on the sea roll. Overall, it was good, I think it might be better if ordering from the a la carte menu instead of the all you can eat.

Yelp
Bang bang! There went our collective appetites! We put that AYCE sushi down! The service was super fast and amazing. The quality was superb for the price. The specials were super tasty. My first time here and I'm leaving impressed. We will be back! 10/10!

Yelp
We arrived to check in at this restaurant at 7:17 , they said it would be about a 30 minute wait, 7:58pm we were seated. I took my son to the bathroom and came back to the table where my husband waited. We had planned to do AYCE and ordered very conservatively considering we had never been there before. We marked on our sheet 2 miso soup 1 spicy edamame 1 chicken katsu 2 eel 2 salmon 2 spicy salmon 1 tuna 2 spicy tuna The miso soup and edamame took about 15 minutes to arrive. The chicken katsu came another 10 minutes later than that We asked for a second paper sheet so we could get another order in before they started to close down because it was 8:45 at this point and we still hadn't received our sushi (we did not end up turning in another sheet) 9pm rolls around and the sushi finally arrived, the spicy tuna and salmon were "nigiri style" and not nigiri. It was mush-fish wrapped in seaweed and rice (not what we were expecting completely could be an oversight on our part but none the less) We say we'll just do Ala carte and close out to pay for only what we ordered because we've been waiting over an hour for our food and our son was tired. They charged us for one Ala carte order of sashimi thus the second star for their attempt to right the evening. But over all the experience was less than to be desired and would not recommend. It seems like they will do everything they can to try to get you to order outside of fish to fill you up on other things so you do not have room for fish (this based on our ordering was not the case but due to the way things came out I can definitely agree with other reviews stating this)

Yelp
I am so sad. This was my favorite AYCE sushi in Austin and it has gone completely down the drain. All AYCE sushi places go through this phase eventually but in Austin with no good competition has allowed them to accelerate the trend. All I have to say - look at this rice to fish ratio. It's insane. And then in the Ikura they disguise that they are giving you half by popping a cucumber slice on top. Will not be coming back. It's $37.99 per person and you're paying to eat rice. They should change their name to Rice Bang Bang. Service is good though. Eating here a la carte would be way too expensive.

Yelp
I was having a strong craving for sushi after dinner and decided to try sushi bang bang. Unfortunately by the time I got there, the AYCE was closed but that was okay since I wasn't too hungry. The fatty salmon and tuna were pretty decent. The crazy tuna roll was decent as well. However my favorite roll was the Naruto roll (not pictured). The salmon on it was super soft and buttery and just tasted delicious. I would definitely order that again. Overall service was nice and super easy to find parking out in the front since it's located in a strip mall area.!
