Google
spent a few days in Santa Barbara, & sushi bar 29 was our favorite meal out of the whole trip! everything we ordered was executed beautifully, & Kiko (our server) took care of us. 10/10 recommend

Google
Alright, you gotta hit up Sushi Bar 29 in Santa Barbara with the fam, and it did not disappoint. I ordered the Hurricane Roll and the Red Dragon Roll, and out of the two, the Hurricane was the clear winner. Had that perfect crunch from the tempura, spicy tuna on top was solid, and while it could have used a little more sauce, once I hit it with some eel sauce, game over. So good. If you go, I would highly recommend getting the spicy edamame too. Whatever sauce they coat it in just hits, and honestly, it brought the Red Dragon Roll to life. I would even suggest the chef toss that same sauce on some of the other rolls because it adds a whole new flavor to the mix. The fam also ordered the tuna nuggets, basically spicy tuna on crispy rice, and they were fire. Great texture and flavor. We paired them with some gyoza, tempura green beans, and more edamame, and everything came out quick and tasted great. Service was super sweet and on it with all the orders and refills. Friendly and fast. It is a small spot tucked on the corner, kind of a hidden gem type feel, but the fish quality was on point, and everything we had was fresh and flavorful. Surprised how good everything was to be honest, but the reviews didn’t lie. The whole family left full and happy. Will for sure be back!

Google
I would come here every day of my life, but unfortunately I have bills to pay and they’re closed on Sundays. Truly the best sushi at this price point in town. Love the box rolls and the lion king roll, but I’ve never had a miss here. Even the table soy sauce is incredible quality. If you’re lucky enough to go on a day the Mackerel Special is available order as many as they’ll let you. I don’t want to sound pretentious, but it’s 10000% on par with any Michelin star sushi bite I’ve had. Service is excellent as well, the staff is super nice and accommodating. Also the beer is cheap.

Google
This place is just beautiful. The atmosphere is quiet yet enjoyable. It’s not too loud and the service is amazing. They are SO sweet and work hard to get your food to you. The food is delicious. The portions are good and it’s fairly easy to get to, whether parking or walking. Very short wait time even during rush hours and a restaurant for customers.

Google
Overall decidedly mediocre and pretty bland sushi. The service was very friendly. The popcorn shrimp was pretty good and we really enjoyed it. The sushi came pretty quickly, but was the least flavorful sushi I have had in a long long time. Two of the rolls we ordered we supposed to be spicy, but were not. The fried muscle roll was the only one that was different or unique and it was just ok.

Google
I have been a customer for a few months and I will order take out for lunch. Excellent service, food tastes very good and the portions are just right. Now you can have the linch special and dine in.

Google
All around an awesome restaurant! The food is amazing, the portion size is good, the service is awesome and fast, the atmosphere is comfortable for couples or large groups! Loved the Spicy Albacore Salad and we got a Summer Freash Roll that isn't on the menu but worth asking for! So delicious!

Google
Ordered sushi rolls for take-out because the menu had some interesting items. We ordered the Tower 29 and the chef special Spicy Snow Crab roll. The taste was good but we were disappointed by the size of both items, which was far smaller than what we expected for the price (see pics). Also, the spicy Snow Crab roll was not spicy at all.

Yelp
My husband and I had many sushi places to pick from and we lucked out at this spot! We were quickly seated and served. The food came out incredibly fast and fresh. Our server was so sweet and was sure to explain everything clearly. The music in the restaurant was calming and it was truly a lovely dining experience. We ordered miso soup, a spicy tuna roll, rainbow roll, and some salmon and yellowtail sashimi. All extremely affordable! If I were to change one thing, I'd have ordered the sashimi combo appetizer instead of individual pieces as it offers more pieces for about the same price. We will definitely visit again when we are back in town, this place deserves all the love it gets!

Yelp
I brought my coworkers here for fresh fish in a coastal city. The food was okay. All of the sushi and nigiri we ordered was passable. We dined here for lunch on a weekday, and I found their service to be acceptable, albeit uninspired. I also find the local favorite, Santa Barbara uni, listed on the menu at "market price," an affront to the average lunch diner. They are operating a restaurant in Santa Barbara. The uni shouldn't be "market price." It was also more expensive than it is in Reno, where I reside. $19 for two uni nigiri in Santa Barbara is robbery. Anyway, I ordered two of those. The restaurant was mediocre, in terms of ambiance, and could use a deep clean. The fan blades inside were covered with dust, and the overall aesthetic of the place could best be described as "sticky." I'd recommend looking into other venues, especially if uni is at the top of your list. In a coastal city known for uni, there's no reason to settle.

Yelp
BE AWARE: If you are a party of 5+ (including kids) there is a different menu called "The party menu" that adds almost 20% to EACH item! We considered this place because of the reviews and the pricing, we were fooled. The rolls were mid, nothing spectacular. The only good thing I can compliment on is the service. The two lovely ladies were sweet and very quick. Small space nothing, sticky tables, and nothing too exciting about the restaurant.

Yelp
We are from out of town, but decided to try this place out. The food was delicious and very very fresh. The service was very prompt, kind, efficient and a very professional establishment. The ambience is cute small and quaint overall we would definitely be back if we're in town.

Yelp
Came in today for a sushi lunch - very affordable sushi, especially for Santa Barbara! Specialty rolls are $14-$18; and House rolls $6.60 (California roll) to $13. We got the Fisherman Roll with yellowtail, shrimp, avocado, cucumber and a sesame eel sauce ($13), (my daughter didn't want the wasabi yuzu sauce) - really tasty! And then the Chapala Roll - with tuna, yellowtail, white fish, shrimp, avocado and cucumber (just $12). Both a little difficult to eat; kind of fell apart; maybe because the seaweed was chewy, but really tasty!

Yelp
Came here on whim as they had a lunch special and I am always willing to try out to see if I like how they make their sushi. And have to say my favorite which wasn't on their lunch menu was the mango roll that was written on the board when you first walk in! I would definitely come back again as the waitress was incredibly sweet to serve us quickly and was very careful in setting us up to enjoy all our food on the table. Price was right for lunch and food was fast. Edamame was warm and salty which I like as well as served with ginger and a second helping at my request since it's so yummy with our rolls. I would like to come back and explore dinner with different rolls and some sushi with some Japanese beer as this place had potential for a great evening vibe too.

Yelp
Had dinner here with my UCSB Gaucho who was missing good authentic Japanese food. We picked this restaurant mainly for the okonomiyaki pancake from the menu, which is not often served or on the menu in the vast majority of Japanese restaurants. I wanted something warm in my tummy so I chose the ramen and it did not disappoint with the the rich broth and tasty veggies. The okonomiyaki was crispy and savory with some nice saltiness from the sauce, kept in check by the creamy sauce also present. The agedashi tofu was silky warm and yummy. Overall, a nice experience! The service was great, attentive, and fairly quick after ordering. Medium noise from conversations and kichen hubbub, you can also call and make a reservation ahead of time, which is recommended for Thursdays , Fridays, and Saturdays.

Yelp
Great options, kind service and delicious rolls. The flower roll is a seasonal item but when they have it make sure to try it.

Yelp
Good American fusion sushi rolls. Not the best in SB, but they are good. I have been here a few times and the red dragon roll is always tasty; Seared albacore with the sauce on top is great. I also got the snake roll, which was essentially a California roll with eel and ponzu on top. Potion sizes for most* their special rolls is good, but can be inconsistent. Alcohol list consists of the typical 3-4 Asian light beers, a few different types of sake, and a few bottles of wine. Interior of the restaurant needs help. The bar area was truely one of the nicest in sb. Bar 29 was the restaurant in there previously and all of it has been re- used and appears old. They do not have any sushi bar seating and for some reason the cash register is still basically in the middle of the dining area, and has not been moved back to where it should be. Also this building gets a terrible direct shot of sunlight at sunset and needs curtains!! Good food but the dining area needs work, this place is too expensive to hit the dive bar level.

Yelp
Sushi date night! My fiancé and I came here on a Friday night around 5 and got right in. They do a great job of transforming the street corner into a pleasing dining experience inside. The music is wonderful and the staff is so friendly, kind and knowledgeable about what to recommend. They menu has something for everyone, but not to the point where it's overwhelming. I would like to see a few more options for people that don't like spicy things though, but my rolls were great regardless. I got the Lion King roll and Snake roll to mix things up from my normal rainbow roll order. The lion king roll was Delish and the eel on the snake roll was sooo good. My fiancé got the Tuna Box roll and Hurricane roll. His favorite was the box roll, which we heard is a favorite among many here! But he loved the hurricane roll too. I don't think you can go wrong here with any order! And just ask the servers for their recommendations if your stumped!

Yelp
Sushi Bar 29 is definitely my favorite sushi place in Santa Barbara. The value is really great - high quality sushi at a reasonable price. The service is always excellent. The atmosphere is nice, but not fancy, and I find it to be a perfect spot for a casual meal. I love the Seafood Ceviche Salad, Mexicali roll, Lion King roll, and the Shrimp tempura roll (just to name a few).
google avatar

Yelp
Such an awesome sushi spot we stumbled upon! Service was amazing! Food was great, especially for their price point. The crispy tuna was top tier! Drinks were cheap and good! Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
First visit here and they do things right. I've always said it's the mom and pop shops that will surprise you with how good they are when compared to a big chain. They often become my favorite and in SB, this has joined that list. Location: Corner of Chapala and Anapamu. Parking lot located about 100 feet away ( first 75 minutes free). Place is in the heart of downtown Santa Barbara. Food: Hurricane roll was really good. I'd get it again. Really doesn't need soy sauce as it already has a drizzle on top. Unagi (eel) sushi was the perfect size and crispy on the edges telling me this eel was just cooked minutes before hitting my plate. Perfect. My dining companion had the Mike Dancing Pants (true name, it's on the menu) and was just the right amount and really liked it. I could have eaten another 1/2 plate of sushi, but I didn't wanted to carry home a bloated feeling on the 2 hour drive home to LA. We opted for black sesame mochi ice cream and I got the fried sweet bun with a dipping sauce. The fried sweet bun was a tiny portion, but perfect for not over stuffing myself. Hot enough to burn my fingers at first contact, I grabbed the chopsticks and the dipping sauce cooled the bun enough for eating. Delicious!! Perfect end to a hot day. Summary: The place is run by a family with Robert ( who trained with a sushi chef for years) at the helm. Hole in the wall spot that feels more like a neighborhood bar, the food is top notch. Places like this exist because the locals know what they like and don't tell tourists about good spots in town. Service was great and attentive. Not a good a spot for parties larger than 4, but I'm sure they can accomodate and put tables together. It's a small casual spot so if you want a drink and appetizer after work or just a casual dinner without all the fuss, I suggest come here before or after sightseeing before heading back home with good food and a cold mug of iced green tea. Happy eating!!

Yelp
This restaurant is our go-to in Santa Barbara for delicious fresh fish and great service! The yellowtail carpaccio is so good. My other favorite is the Summer Fresh Roll, which has no rice and is just packed with fresh fish and wrapped in cucumber, yummy! This last time we ordered the Tower 29, which is shaped like a cake, because I was celebrating my birthday It did not disappoint, but next time I would eat it with a fork, which was recommended by our server Overall, if you're looking for a great sushi restaurant with exceptionally fair prices and kind staff, look no further than Sushi Bar 29!!

Yelp
Back in Santa Barbara is another sushi place, at Sushi Bar 29. They had tempura ice cream, and if you know me, this is one of my favorite desserts because of how it defies logic by frying ice cream in hot oil. Here, the tempura batter was fried nice and crisp which added great texture to the cold smooth green tea ice cream in the interior. This version is an adequate serving of the dish and nothing more. Beef Sukiyaki is an excellent dish that I rarely find in the Santa Barbara area. The broth here was excellent -- it had a strong soy and mirin flavor as expected and really nailed the taste. But don't be fooled by the large pot because it only contains a few pieces of low quality beef and a few pieces of vegetable and a small bunch of yam noodles. The amount of content in the bowl was very minimal, which is really a shame. Fresh, sweet, juicy uni at Sushi Bar 29! While smaller and more pricey ($16) than Sun Sushi, their uni still hits the quality mark as they are fresh, vibrant, and delicious. Highly recommend everyone to try some fresh sea urchin in their lifetime. My biggest problem with this restaurant is that place has both the unpleasant attributes of penny pinching and expensive food. I think it's pretty ridiculous for an upscale restaurant to charge for something as basic as tea, sauce, and condiments if you ask me.
google avatar

Yelp
Found this place from Yelp and it's nearby our hotel, they have online ordering that shows exactly when you can pick up your order which I think is neat. We ordered sushi box whisk I think was pretty fresh and tasty. Plain udon has good taste to it too overcooked and not salty.. 5 out of 5 on taste. They also have a good parking lot.
google avatar

Yelp
We wandered in here at 9pm on a Saturday when we were finally done at the fairgrounds. The place we originally picked out for dinner was full and turned us away. Lots of other nearby restaurants were closed, so we literally wandered into this place. We were so grateful they took us in! It is small, but the wait staff was excellent! They agreed to seat is even though the kitchen was closing in 15 minutes. We ordered the seaweed salad and the seaweed roll appetizer. The latter was absolutely delicious! Spicy but not too spicy and deep fried with just the right amount of crisp. I also ordered the veggie roll. Not a terribly big roll, but lots of crispy, fresh veggies and it came out quickly. The service was excellent and all our dirty plates were taken away as soon as we were finished with them - definitely service with a smile. The restaurant itself is fairly unassuming with some booths around the edge and tables in the middle. Probably not an ideal spot for a big group. A trendy vibe with a chalk board menu (you also get paper ones at the table) and a large drink selection. Overall an excellent stop for us - very pleasantly surprised without knowing anything about it beforehand!

Yelp
Pretty great little sushi spot close to State Street! I came here craving sushi and was not disappointed. The service was so friendly, fast, and helpful. We got the sashimi dinner with a side roll of spicy tuna. We also got happy hour items: crispy tofu and pork potstickers, so good! I'm only bummed their happy hour menu is limited; but the food was good!!
google avatar

Liz K.

Yelp
Sushi Bar 29 is pretty basic on the inside. The food is out of this world. The Agedashi Tofu was a warm umami bomb you want to wear on a cold day like your favorite hoodie. The warm Sale kind of added to that vibe! The sashimi was so fresh I barely touched the soy sauce, and I had a fair amount: octopus, sea scallop, shrimp, yellowtail, crab, and albacore. All very reasonably priced! I wish this place was near me, but alas I now live in Seattle. It's on my permanent list for future trips to SB.
google avatar

Yelp
On vacation in Santa Barbara and Sushi Bar 29 was a rare gem open Christmas night to feed us travelers and all I can say is THANK YOU! The Popcorn Shrimp appetizer was melt in your mouth delicious and the Pork Ramen was grilled in front of me and served up at the bar (I liked mine spicey) and it was fantastic - one of my best and I love Ramen. The service was very friendly, the pricing reasonable, and the ambiance authentic to the cuisine. I will be back asap.
google avatar

Ally H.

Yelp
Delicious food and service was great. It is definitely on the expensive side, but their happy hour menu looks pretty good. The tower 29 was wayyyyy over priced, but very delicious. Not pictured, but best single bite was definitely the yellow tail belly ($10).

Julia C.

Yelp
service was awful, they kept on rushing us out. We got there and got sat right away but were waiting for another person from our party. Within 2 minutes they asked us if we were ready to order and I explained how we were waiting on one more person. Immediately when our other friend came they asked us if we were ready to order. They were trying to rush us. Didn't even ask if we had any questions about the menu. Then the food came out, I got spicy tuna and it did not taste the best. I ended up having a stomach ache the rest of the night. Then finally we got the bill and they charged us for something we did not even order!! When we complained they acted like they did not know. Definitely not coming back!

Em V.

Yelp
We recently discovered this little gem on the corner of Chapala and Anapamu. All of the sushi rolls, seaweed salad, miso soup, etc..., etc... are just delicious. Atmosphere is simple but nice. The staff is super friendly, attentive, and helpful. My only complaint is that the windows look so dirty is is hard to believe that the management does not do anything about it. The interior is very clean and neat and so is the kitchen. Please wash the windows as this is the only turn-off and I am sure it stops people from entering.
google avatar

Sara A.

Yelp
Great place for the price. Used to be called Yumi Sushi and was down at the bottom of Chapala but the food really hasn't changed in the years that it has been around. I've tried a number of things - baked mussels, seaweed salad, Yumi tower (bar 29 tower now?), volcano roll, udon soup - all very very good. Had the pleasure of trying the seafood ceviche this time and I'll probably end up getting that again. I tend to favor the fancier rolls over the raw stuff and have yet to be disappointed
google avatar

Kellie M.

Yelp
Second time picking up take out from Sushi bar 29. They were pretty busy and subsequently had to wait a little longer than expected. However, the Dodgers were playing on a large TV at the bar area, so didn't mind at all! We had three rolls and the sashimi salad. All were good but a little bit pricey for the portion size.
google avatar

Isabel W.

Yelp
Our favorite sushi spot in all of Goleta/Santa Barbara. Delicious gyoza, seaweed salad, popcorn shrimp, and lobster rolls. Popcorn shrimp was to die for. Service is spectacular and food comes out quick. Prices are very reasonable especially for Santa Barbara. Miso soup was a bit salty but everything else was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend this spot!!!
google avatar

Amanda K.

Yelp
I always judge sushi places off their raw fish and Sushi Bar 29 was really good! My go to is a couple pieces of sushi nigiri and a draft beer :P The salmon was buttery, the service was attentive and none of the fish smelled or tasted fishy! I've come back here a few times since and they never disappoint. Would recommend!

Daniel I.

Yelp
We eat here once a weekish, Tower 29 is fantastic, staff is amazing and they always have interesting specials.
google avatar

Jeff J.

Yelp
Takeout for 4. - Yakiniku Donburi Bowl, $16 (4/5) Great sauce for the rice and ample added to soak into the rice. Beef could have been more tender. - Value (3/5) Food was good, but beef was paltry considering the $16 price tag. - Final Word Good food but a bit pricey.
google avatar

Grace L.

Yelp
I knew I was taking a risk with this restaurant, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt despite seeing red flags, the biggest of which is their website being mostly written in Chinese, not even Japanese. I'm sad to have wasted $50 on tempura udon, a rainbow roll, and a spider roll. Most takeout soup noodle dishes like ramen or pho come with the noodle and the broth separated in different containers, but the udon was already in the broth. By the time I got home, the udon was mushy and soggy. The tempura was decent though as the batter was not too thick. The quality of the raw fish here is similar to that of grocery stores. The fish was not smooth and buttery. You can just tell by looking at the ahi tuna where the meat is dry and falling apart. From the high reviews, you'd expect high quality sushi, but that's just not the case here. You're better off paying more at Oku or Arigato or making the drive to LA.

Jennifer G.

Yelp
Great food and amazing service! daily specials are great! the ambiance is laidback! Must try!

Yelp
Great little sushi place in Santa Barbara! We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon after sight-seeing and were pleased that we found this spot. We had the warm mushroom salad, the Lion King roll, and the beef sukiyaki, which were all delicious and well-done. The menu had a lot of variety and I wish we could have tried more of the rolls as we were impressed with what we ordered :) Service was also great and the servers were friendly. Would definitely recommend stopping by if you're in the area and in the mood for Japanese food!
google avatar

Dee L.

Yelp
Found this place on a whim for lunch. Had their hurricane and Mexicali rolls. They were refreshing and delicious.
google avatar

Chassidie L.

Yelp
YUM YUM YUMMY! One of my favorite sushi places in Santa Barbara/ Goleta! Their prices are super affordable too. The sushi also came out super quick! I definitely recommend if you're looking for a new sushi place to try or just wanting to get your sushi craving fulfilled. My personal favorites are the Green Dragon Roll, Rainbow Roll, and Snake Roll. They have a large menu to select from and although I haven't had any of the rice bowls or noodles, I will definitely be going back to try them! Due to COVID-19 you are required to wear a mask & they are doing social distancing with tables!
google avatar

Britt R.

Yelp
My new "go-to" for sushi! They are reasonably priced and the fish is excellent! We loved their red and green dragon rolls! We will be going here for the sushi cravings from now on! Thanks for the great service!
google avatar

Vivian L.

Yelp
Came on a Tuesday night and we were the only table dining in so it was very safe. All employees wore masks and we sat in a far corner away from them. Got to enjoy a yellowtail carpaccio (fish fresh and melts in your mouth!!), the lion king roll (their seared salmon is so good) mike's dancing pants roll (big scallops on top!) and their special of the week - white dragon (which is halibut on top of a spicy tuna roll). Ordered a bottle of Orion as well to enjoy. It was a very quiet night obviously with the election happening, but it was a friendly spot to visit and we parked across the street. The fish were all fresh, reasonably priced for the size of the sushi. I enjoyed them all and will keep this spot as an option to consider if I ever crave sushi and am nearby!

2cubtuber 1.

Yelp
Sukiyaki was under cooked and unflavored. Sushi was also not high quality for the price.
google avatar

Lily Z.

Yelp
Sushi Bar 29 is only open for takeout right now and take good precautions to ensure the safety of staffs and customers. The price is mid tier, but the fish quality is as good as the more expensive Oku or Arigato, but since Sushi Bar 29 isn't open for dine in, the risk associated with getting raw food prepared by others is also less. I usually get their rolls which are generously sized and seasoned sparingly with sauce, so the taste of the seafood can shine. One of my favorite was the Mike's dancing pants roll because you don't see many rolls wrapped with generous slices of sea scallops. I also liked the lightly seared salmon on the lion king roll. Sushi Bar 29 is a bit far from me, I go there when I feel like I need more variety than what the cheaper Goleta Sushi House can offer.
google avatar

Mickey A.

Yelp
Thoroughly enjoyed our Sushi lunch here. Delicious specials featuring Sashimi and Sushi rolls, with an ice cold pitcher of Asahi. Perfect. Thank you Denise for your food suggestions, and for taking good care of us. Plenty of parking next door, and across the street from Milk and Honey, and next door to Old Town Antiques.
google avatar

Meredith L.

Yelp
The sushi is really good and the carpaccio was super fresh! Great selection of rolls and and appetizers. Server was very sweet.

Emma R.

Yelp
Overall, the food was very good and the service was good! Not my absolute favorite sushi bar I've been to but they had a ramen option which looked super good however we didn't have time to try it.
google avatar

Alyssa R.

Yelp
It was our first time here for sushi and it was awesome. We are big sushi eaters! Everything was fresh and nicely presented. Our server Denise was awesome and always came to check on us. All of our rolls were so good! In total we had 5 rolls and ate all of them I would rather come here than Sushi Teri! We will be coming back :)
google avatar

Bethany I.

Yelp
We came, we tried, and the verdict isn't good. Both my fiancé and I had lunch here. These are my observations: 1. This place has no air conditioning!! Eating sushi on a hot day isn't fun in a non-air conditioned place. 2. Same owners as the place on the Mesa- which isn't necessarily negative, just surprised due to the quality. 3. Sushi didn't feel fresh. Imitation crab was horrible. 4. All their rolls are very rich in flavor with lots of sauce. If you like that- you may be in heaven. 5. The place itself is dark and dreary. You can't even see out of the windows, they're so scratched up. The only roll I enjoyed was the 007 roll. We did not like the fiesta or green dragon. This place needs a little love and a kick in the butt on their quality of food. Unless I hear that this place changed, we won't be returning.

Gabriela M.

Yelp
What a wonderful sushi spot! Food was excellent as well as the service. Everything came out fast and they accommodated my request for a vegetable tempura appetizer even though it was not on the menu. If you are looking for yummy sushi in Santa Barbara, this is the place!
google avatar

Zryenah S.

Yelp
good food. Although If you're a sushi person, don't waste your time or money. Overpriced for the portions you get. The staff didn't listen when we asked to split the bill at the beginning and then was a little difficult to do it after it we ate. Not worth the prices. The ramen tasted like top ramen. Literally.
google avatar

Richard R.

Yelp
One of the more highly rated sushi places in SB, good variety of sushi options on the menu, but wish there was more sashimi offered in the sashimi platter; good quality fish tho! Loved the nabeyaki udon with their noodles being just the right texture and the soup tasting pretty good. Their green tea ice cream is also pretty good; not too sweet

Rachel W.

Yelp
Service is great. FYI: Place totally looks vacant at times from the outside due to their tinted windows and their large OPEN sign being only visible (to me) from the Anapamu side (The business is on the corner of Chapala & Anapamu.) I found their one page menu somewhat limited and extremely pricey for the portion size especially the Nigiri . They seem to specialize in Chef rolls. I ordered the standard Philadelphia roll and California roll instead and a soda as I kinda wanted two different types of rolls. Although highly recommended on Yelp I would probably not go back as $9 Yellowtail Nigiri may be market price but more than I can spend. Also another Chef roll of theirs alone was $15.50!
google avatar

Vië D.

Yelp
Everything was too salty. Ramen was no flavor but salty, very salty. Their seasoned egg that came with the ramen was overcooked. Rolls are too saucy. The space is small.

Yelp
my family and i visited sushi bar 29 during our vacation here at santa barbara. this place instantly became one of our favorite sushi spots ever! we came here 2 days in a row and for perspective, we were only in SB for 4 days. the service was amazing. they weren't that busy when we came (lunch time) and we felt very cared for by the lady who was serving us. she was very patient and always kept a smile on her face. my sisters are not huge sushi fans but this place made them change their minds! if we are ever in town again, we'll be back for sure.

Yelp
Great variety of rolls and food. Same owners of a different sushi place I used to love. Sushi Bar 29 has a slightly adjusted menu, but still mostly the same items and just as yummy as before.
