Sushi Bar Tottori (Lagasca)

Jairo was our waiter and we had so much fun. He made our experience really nice. We allowed to be recommended but he really was handy. Today we had a hard day but this made our day. Thanks Jairo. He recommended many things such as which menu select, drinks, desserts … all. Handy at all time!

From walking through the neighborhood of Salamanca up to the restaurant door, you are setting yourself for quite the calm, cozy and welcoming experience. Ambience of the design, lighting and bar set you up for quite the hospitality and service all around. We went for the full experience tasting, so it was a slowly paced and guided order to enjoy the flavors and the matched drinks, both alcoholic and non alcoholic choices. From the miso soup to the sashimi, to the oysters, to the tuna and the nigiri and wagyu, topped with matcha ice cream and jasmine tea, it is delicious. Presentation, taste, portion and pairing, a delicacy. Jairo and the bartender on the shift were at the utmost level of service, offering recommendations and extending exceptional tastings to both the food and the drinks. Grateful for the experience and a must if you are looking for a local Japanese getaway, thank you.

Among the best quality Japanese and sushi we’ve ever had. The menu is recommended as it offers the best price per quantity ratio. The place is cute with a welcoming atmosphere. The staff is friendly and lovely to talk to. 100% recommend.

My friend and I had such amazing time! The waiters were all so friendly and sweet, they definitely work hard and it shows! The food was incredible and also the atmosphere of the restaurant is very nice. I will definitely be going back!

The best meal in Madrid! We did a wine tasting with all our food and never saw the menu. Jairo is the best professional server/champion if this restaurant. Awesome tine!

Our lunch at Tottori was the perfect end to a day of shopping in Madrid. Our server Jairo was very accommodating to our attempts to speak Spanish and made excellent recommendations on the menu, sake and wine. He was incredibly charming and the kindest and most entertaining camarero we encountered on our whole trip!
