"A long walk down the North Beach boardwalk is the best thing a Miamian can do on a pretty afternoon. The second best thing is to end that walk with a sunset dinner at Sushi Bichi. This outdoor restaurant is directly across from the beach and has a long menu of sushi rolls, a crunchy chicken karaage sandwich, and more mostly Japanese small plates. While the food is good and the service is great, the point of this place is to sit outside and let the ocean breeze gently stroke your face. So save it for a nice day or a post-beach meal. Food Rundown Shrimp Tempura The shrimp are good but you should get this just so you can put the housemade spicy aioli on everything you order. By the end of the meal, we were just licking it off our chopsticks. photo credit: Ryan Pfeffer Abusan Many of the rolls here come with curveball ingredients we’ve never met inside a sushi roll, like mango and eel, or spicy salmon and asparagus. This one features salmon, snow crab, asian pear, avocado, and a drizzle of yuzu aji amarillo.
