Great sushi! Just sushi and all kinds of sushi from traditional to modern. Fresh tasting, because owner Jason has a very good seafood distributor. NOT fishy-tasting or slimy. As fresh as a land-locked state like Colorado can have.
I ordered the Combo B. It was a sushi boat plate with an 8 piece salmon avocado roll, 5 piece nigiri (chef's choice) a small green salad and miso or egg drop soup. It was wonderful. The salmon avocado roll had 8 good sized pieces and the chef chose 5 different cuts of fish. It was excellent. My Dad ordered the Tempura Roll with crunchy shrimp. He said that he didn't have a big appetite, and when the huge roll was placed in front of him, he forgot about that. The roll was beautiful and large. The soups miso or egg drop, were both very satisfying and delightfully warm on a very cold December night.
Jason, a former nurse, was very attentive and a really cool guy, and his wife Sudevahn (I'm sure it's spelled differently) makes the Sushi.
If you've been there in the past, know that it's under new management and they are trying to maintain the atmosphere that the restaurant had before they bought it. I don't know what it WAS like, but they are such a warm and welcoming pair. The restaurant is more visible in the winter after the leaves have fallen, but it's between the car wash and 17th. It might get hidden behind the trees in the summer,
This restaurant is a really good bet for enjoying sushi... GO!
