Veggie girl here: Sushi Cafe Hannah is this little late-night outpost of class and deliciousness on a Skokie street almost devoid of foot traffic. Open till 11:30, it deserves bigger, livelier crowds, for all the effort they make. First, my fave dish here is Agedashi Tofu, which is festooned with colorful julienned veggies and drizzled with a thick, sweet sauce. The maki roll selection for vegetarians/vegans is long and creative. The service is cheerful and prompt. They only lose a star because the sushi rice, which has great texture, needs a little more flavor of rice vinegar, mirin and salt. (Everyone should study the art of Mr Yamoda at Renga Tei in Lincolnwood, the Master of sushi rice.) But theirs is still quite good, and the restaurant is modern and hip. I hope that they're discovered soon by a few more sushi lovers soon.
