Google
Very nice place, the music is always relaxing after a hard day at work. Food protions are BIG! I you get full so quickly and they pricing is good. They put out multiple of the same sushi out to make sure theirs enough to go around. Customer service is great, they always ask if you need anything even though there is a language barrier. Would highly recommend for couples and those who are sushi lovers as much as I do ^w^

Google
Overall 5/5- the only slightly frustrating part is how long it takes to get them to count up your plates and pay at the end. The food was very good, tasted fresh, and the chefs were constantly putting new items out the entire time we were there. They have a very large selection- one of the best in the area in my opinion and you can fill yourself up at a very reasonable price! As of now this has become our new favorite sushi spot in the Vancouver metro! My favorite is the salmon and onion. We will definitely be back. For 2 of us for lunch we spent $29.

Google
It’s one of our standard sushi-go-rounds. Happy hour pricing till 4 (I think). Good flavors, good portions, fresh fish. I especially like the salmon and eel. California rolls are good too. Just before closing there are fewer items on the belt (naturally) so you order from the menu. Calamari and miso soup are great.

Google
Just amazing. The food, sevice, and atmosphere is very pleasant. I had the sushi 🍣 and my wife ordered the orange chicken. Everything was amazing 👏. I highly recommend it if you enjoy eating sushi or orange chicken 🐔!!

Google
Just meh. Service was not very friendly or prompt. I wanted to order a few dishes that were not on the belt, but as soon as I said my first plate the lady ran off, instead of letting me finish my order. I was never checked on during my entire meal. The price was more expensive than most belt sushi places. The beer was not very cold. The food was not great. Overall it did fill a hole, but I probably wouldn't go back. Even when I went to pay and decided to leave a completely undeserved $5 tip the lady talked to me in a robot voice while spacing off, no human connection at all. Weird vibes all around.

Google
Wonderful place! Great and speedy service! Nice clean atmosphere! Easy in easy out!

Google
Ordered a few rolls because we didn't want any of the 4 options of California rolls on belt. We waited an hour and a half and never got our sushi. The gyoza is tempura'd and may be the best I've ever had in my life lol.

Whitney H.

Google
There was not much variety on the conveyor belt so we had to order from the waitress throughout the meal. The prices were adequate for the quality of the food. It was irritating when I paid the bill and asked for a fortune cookie that the lady said they had no fortune cookies when there was a full box right on the table behind her. Being lied to blatantly to my face was off putting. I wouldn’t return.

Yelp
I've always loved this place and still think they have the best calamari in Clark County. However, I'm putting Sushi Chiyo on a bit of a warning because our last visit was disappointing. We had a new female server who was extremely rude and dismissive. Her attitude and facial expressions came across as very stuck-up, and she wasn't accommodating when we asked for non-spicy mayo for the kids. In the past, we've never had any trouble getting egg mayo, but this time she flatly refused and made the experience unpleasant. On the other hand, the male server deserves five stars. He noticed we were unhappy and quickly made it right by bringing us regular mayo. I really appreciate his attentiveness and hope the restaurant has more servers like him, because up until now we've always enjoyed our visits here.

Yelp
I LOVE SUSHI CHIYO WITH ALL MY HEART It's one of the absolute best sushi spots in Vancouver with great prices!!

Yelp
We got the end half booth across from the windows, which is kinda odd when you have random strangers right across from you and you pretend not to notice them by looking down almost the whole time. Then behind us a kid kicking the booth which I could feel every movement. Alright let's talk about the sushi....or not. It's really not worth mentioning......first time ever I've left sushi on a plate. 2 stars is because of the service from the gentleman that seated us.

Yelp
Not the best sushi. Some buffet sushi is even better. I dined in once with my family, it was alright nothing made me want to come back. I live close by and was craving sushi so I called in to get some to-go. Ehh you can't order sushi as a whole like other sushi restaurants. You have to order by plates when ordering to go. Disappointed with the quality and it's just messy and sloppy. Doesn't taste fresh in the restaurant or to go. I don't think I'll be ordering from them again.
google avatar

Julie E.

Yelp
Quick and easy place to pop in for sushi. Booths or bar seating options available. Enjoy the conveyer belt option. No waiting, just grab the sushi you want. Don't see what you want, ask a server and they'll make it fresh. It was tricky to get the waitress's attention. They do have a variety of dipping sauces, so be sure to ask when you're sitting so you don't have to wait later. Lollipop shrimp was very cold and clearly not fresh so that was a rough start. Favorite was California roll II and Oregon roll.

Yelp
Couldn't locate my online order yet only order to go on the shelf. ??? No thank you. 3:00 Saturday poke, spider roll, spicy tuna. All sub-par. Poke didn't have green onions and sauce tasted like soy. Small pieces hard to eat. Spider roll maybe the best but the rolls were so loosely wrapped they fell apart. Spicy tuna wasn't one piece of tuna but more of a tuna fish consistency. Nice inside and I have seen some other non-sushi dishes that looked good. Will I be back? If close by and happy hour M-Th 1:30-4:00 I believe. Nice inside.

Yelp
Good prices and i enjoyed the food here. Service was friendly as I've been been here many times and never had any problems. best place to go if your in a hurry and want to serve yourself quick. This is my to go to place for sushi and prices are reasonable and affordable.

Yelp
The restaurant itself is cute and definitely centrally located for the area however, unless you're eating in house, I would never eat from here if you are ordering takeout or DoorDash it is always 100% of the time late and to make matters worse when you order a takeout order, they don't make anything fresh if any part of your order is already made and out on the little belt that travels around the bar seating area. They just take a plate off of there and put it in a box even the edamame. The only time anything is made fresh for to go order is if it actually has to be Fried or cooked in the back. So if you're paying an exorbitant amount of money for what you think is fresh made to order sushi you're not getting what you have paid for.

TIna L.

Yelp
This place had catered to a party we attended. The sushi was delicious, with a large variety of cooked items. The host had worked there so I can trust the food is clean and safe for people of all ages to eat.
google avatar

Yelp
Good sushi! Quick service. I never dined in, only takeout but it's always friendly employees. Their happy hour is very good savings so if you want to try multiple rolls this could be a good time to go. My favorite is ocean beauty however lately they started making it extra spicy and I have to call in and adjust the spiciness prior to ordering. There's always people and it's lively.

Dena R.

Yelp
Been going to this place my whole life and it has only gone uphill since then. Really everything I order is always good. It's one of those restaurants you can order anything and you know it will be good. I sometimes stop myself from getting sushi elsewhere because I know it won't be as good as Sushi Chiyo and I will be disappointed..

Anthonyray L.

Yelp
The food was great the prices are fair compared to other sushi spots. I think happy hour played a part in service bc we were barely getting checked on and we needed things. The place was in good condition staff was continuing cleaning.
google avatar

Yelp
Veggie sushi is good, had the sweet potato and veggie roll. The sesame balls are good. And I tried the Inari and would recommend that. Prices seem good. They seem like they say when you order over phone .. 15 minutes,,, best believe it's actually 50 minutes every time.
google avatar

Judy-Ann L.

Yelp
So tasty and they'll bring out fresh ordered sushi when it isn't on the belt! Super great with small kiddos and kind service overall :)

Lily

Yelp
This place was never good the staff was rude, I had a fly in my water, the table were sticky, the plates were not washed, I got food poisoning from it, seats were sticky, staff was not the nicest, the place overall looked cool but was not amazing for eating, do not recommend going there one star

Yelp
Had a long day in the hospital and then went and had a nice quiet sushi dinner. Sushi was good for a late night sushi belt place
google avatar

Sam p.

Yelp
This place was a pleasant surprise. I'd been to other sushi places nearby and even poor experiences- kept going back to them. This is now my go to place. The service is way ABOVE the other place nearby. Very friendly and attentive. Easy to see what you want as it passes by. Great HH. We liked it so much that we came by twice in one week for late lunch (we normally don't do lunch). Anyway- passed by so many times and judged it because it's kind of in a strip mall type setup. Do not let that fool you. Just a great experience with really friendly and authentic folks running & working there.

Yelp
I got takeout and it took more the 1 hour to get my food, I only got 9 pieces of sushi? The staff was extremely rude. When they handed takeout they just handed it to me and didn't even bat an eye on me. The food was kinda good. Not the best. The inside was really cold.
google avatar

Kailani S.

Yelp
The sushi was good, though, I have had better. We ordered a good selection and definitely left very full. The service was good, our waitress was very kind, and the owner of the restaurant checked on us several times. He was helpful and very kind. The aesthetic of the restaurant is cute, the only thing I'd recommend is playing some soft music in there. Maybe they do later in the evening, I'm not too sure, but a little music would make a huge difference.

Joel M.

Yelp
This place lacks variety on its conveyor belt. Order nigiri and some simple rolls. The nigiri rice balls were falling apart. Either they weren't packed tightly enough, or the rice wasn't the right consistency, or both. That was annoying. I have no complaints about the waiters/servers. They don't control what they serve me or how it's made. I probably won't be coming back, though.

Davydd T.

Yelp
I've been coming here for months and lately food has been tasting worse and worse. And just today I went in and couldn't finish my meal I had to leave because of temperature inside the restaurant. Had to have been around 80. Almost same as outside. Anyways. Not recommended to come in. To hot they do t have ac. There food is going to shit

Gillian S.

Yelp
I've been here multiple times for takeout food. It's pretty decent. It's definitely not the best sushi in the area but given the price it's very reasonable and tasty.
google avatar

Jay E.

Yelp
Some of the worst I have tasted. Conveyor belt sushi is the only reason for 2 stars. It was rubbery and the fish tasted old. Would not recommend and best to head across the parking lot to anything else.
google avatar

Lea G.

Yelp
I had a doctors appointment in the area of sushi Chiyo. I was really hungry and decided to grab something quick before I went to the appointment. I came in here and asked the hostess if I could get some thing quickly, explained I had a doctors appointment. She was so accommodating and nice. I ordered a four piece California roll. It came out so quickly. It was tasty and fresh. The staff here is great. Definitely will be coming back to give other things a try.

Giselle R.

Yelp
Service... What service? Ambiance sad. Food horrible. For the amount of people that were there you didn't see anyone making fresh rolls but you saw so many rolls on the conveyor belt. We ordered gyoza and they were dripping with grease and not even hot as well as chicken yakisoba tasted like tumeric, that's it.

Dee B.

Yelp
Thursday, April 18, 2024, around 8:30 pm we were made the wonderful decision to order at Sushi Chiyo. We ordered the: Green Dragon Roll, Chiyo Roll, Vegas Roll, Tiger Roll, Lion King Roll, Tamago, Sweet Potato Roll, Salmon Roll, Vegetable Tempura, Sesame Balls + Edamame - Yummy. They were ALL PERFECTLY MADE with the highest quality ingredients. (:D) We really LOVE THIS PLACE. ~ Seriously lovely food. We ordered through doordash

David C.

Yelp
I been here multiple times the place was not to bad, however I went there last time and got food poison. Stayed all night near the toilet throwing up. Will not come again.
google avatar

Chase M.

Yelp
I don't like to give lesser reviews, and I don't like to be all Mr. Negative Nancy... That said, it wasn't the quality that got me, but it was the style.. they would make about 100 plates of each type and keep sending them out, seemed they didn't make the majority of the items, we would have to ask for all the hot items. They were friendly and they were accommodating, but really I like to just grab and go with these places.. We came in at a normal lunch time, the place was clean, friendly, and well equip for the customers. We had no issue finding 8 seats for the group. Food was fresh, clean, and had no issues on presentation, but really it was just another conveyor belt sushi place. I would have liked to see more variety, and more hot items ready to grab.
google avatar

Emily M.

Yelp
We arrived and were seated right away at the sushi bar, but couldn't stay there long. Apparently where they seated us was where they decided that the would place and pick up orders. Wait staff proceeded to constantly reach over us while seated there. My hubby, My hero, tried to explain that it's rude to be reaching over your customers, we didn't want arm outs with our orders! So, we moved to a booth. Thank goodness! No one wants arm pits and their odors over their food! Anyways the fish to rice ratio, was pretty good. And the sushi came out quickly and seemed very fresh. Prices were reasonable too. Just with there were more options for nigiri sushi and hand rolls. I would just advise not to be seated on the side of the sushi bar or ask for a booth.

J A.

Yelp
I was very skeptical to order from the a la carte menu. I definitely prefer this as you can try so many more options and not committed to a single or a few. The Philadelphia roll was especially good. Took only a few minutes, not a busy time but very fast.
google avatar

Mike C.

Yelp
We really used to love this place. It was our go to sushi restaurant, but the last couple of times we went we ended up getting food poisoning . Not sure what has changed in the past 6 months or so but we won't be ordering from this place again until the positive reviews start coming back.
google avatar

Alan S.

Yelp
Not the best and not the worst Sushi we've ever had. By accident we arrived a half hour into their happy-hour, so the prices were right but we had to wait 20 mins to be seated. Seating is tight here and by the time we were served the selection on the belt had dwindled. Our first bites were salmon sashimi. Huge pieces of fish but way too big for the rice pillow. Very awkward to eat. The amount of salmon could have made x2 portions. Staff were busy behind the counter trying to full the belt but they were making a lot of one kind of sushi. That meant it took sometime to see any sort of selections to pick from. Some patrons were able to get the staff's attention and get in custom orders. By the time we tried this for a Volcano we were told it would be a 15 min wait. We declined as we'd pretty much gotten our fill and had been in our seats awhile already. There were others waiting to sit and eat. We stuffed ourselves for $22. Would we return? The honest answer would be, maybe for the happy hour but not for full prices.

Amina D.

Yelp
Not good. 90 degrees outside yet it feels nicer then inside. Way tolerable hot no AC. All the raw sushi going bad from how horribly hot it is inside. Not okay. Someone's going to get sick. All the costumers complaining about how hot it is inside and leaving yet the workers didn't care. Does not seem food safe at all.
google avatar

R S.

Yelp
I have visited this restaurant several times over the past 3 months. The food is good, and I never had an issue being seated at a small booth by myself. Until today. I just walked out and went to another restaurant because the hostess at Sushi Chiyo said "there was no way she would seat me at a booth alone. I had to sit at the bar instead." No thanks. I'll go elsewhere from now on where I can sit wherever I am most comfortable. By the way, Sushi Chiyo, consistency and friendliness are the first rules of good customer service. You failed today.
google avatar

Evelyn B.

Yelp
The sushi tasted like it was sitting in the fridge for the last three days, they didn't have to many options, most stuff I wanted had raw fish such as eel, I understand that's what sushi is but the sushi I get usually have more options. The food tasted alright but the costlier service was great!
google avatar

Ashley O.

Yelp
Such a disappointment. My fiancé and I used to love this place, but the last few times we have ate here the service has been absolutely horrendous. The last time we will eat there was tonight. The service was so bad we ended up walking out, we didn't even end up ordering because the server that took our drink order didn't even come back, 20 minutes went by and another server took our drink order (again) and ended up slamming our drinks on the table and stormed off.... (We had no previous bad interaction with her before this) We weren't even going to waste our time or money there, especially after the pervious time we were there with a larger group about a month ago. The service was SO UNBELIEVABLY BAD. I HIGHLY DONT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. Take your business somewhere else. We have had about 4 bad experiences here in the last few months, so tonight's experience was the last straw. The staff is extremely inattentive, rude, and they honestly don't even come back after you get your food. And the sushi isn't even worth it anymore! It's gone way downhill!! You always end up with stuff missing out of your to-go orders as well.
google avatar

Sarah C.

Yelp
Takes a long time and always is packed do not come here You will regret it do never come here
google avatar

Alysha C.

Yelp
Very popular sushi spot (so the wait times can be longer, but they're doing their best)! Good sushi at great prices. Lots of gluten free options although no specific gluten free menu. The baked mussels, avocado rolls and tamago are my faves!
google avatar

Bryan K.

Yelp
The sushi here is excellent and is a great deal. I feel like sushi chiyo always gives you a good cut of fish to rice ratio. The staff is friendly and generally leave you alone unless you ask. Anything that you order from the chefs comes out super quick and fresh. They even have a happy hour that is a very good deal. I highly recommend the salmon as the cut is always fresh and thick.

allison b.

Yelp
Great sushi! Love coming here with friends. You can order from menu or eat off of the conveyer belt. Bathrooms are clean. Happy hour Monday - Friday 230-400pm all plates for 2.95
google avatar

Vladislav T.

Yelp
The quality has gone far downhill. The sushi was not even cut properly. I had to ask for a knife so I can separate the pieces. The rice was falling apart as you pick it up with the chopsticks. The pieces in general would taste a bit mushy, and the flavor was just all mixed. There was no distinction. All in all it's not over priced, but it is a complete waste of a meal. I do not recommend coming here.
google avatar

Jeremy S.

Yelp
Had lunch there today and my gf and I thought it was decent, not great. She ordered herself a seaweed salad and spicy crab roll. She said that her salad was good and the roll was just ok. She did not like their wasabi. I ordered the calamari tempura and pot stickers. The calamari was quite tasty but I didn't care much for their pot stickers. The table that they keep their sauces on was a bit disorganized & kind of messy. Our server was pleasant and prices are reasonable. I'll probably go back for the calamari, not the rest.
google avatar

Leyanna C.

Yelp
Customer service was not the best. Waiter kept cutting us off while asking what to drink. "Not food, drink I said" while my friend was trying to say "May I get a Pepsi" Then, we found a hair in our food. Barely got an apology, "What would you like?" Really rude about the situation. Wouldn't recommend.
google avatar

Angelica A.

Yelp
Came here with my son, a friend and her son - around lunch time on a Wednesday. It almost looks like an unfinished restaurant on one side, with only 3 booths. This was my first conveyor belt sushi experience and I was pleased with the freshness and quality. We also ordered the habachi chicken - which came with rice, grilled veggies, and miso soup - for $10 it's a steal! The negative - service was non existent and you have to flag someone down for anything, if you can find someone to flag in the first place. Never got to ask for a fork, or more water. They added an extra plate on my meal as well. With other options for sushi, I probably won't be back. If it was suggested, I'd have no opposition!

Nick K.

Yelp
Good place to go for some sushi in this area. Unfortunately due to the plandemic the sushi belt itself is still closed.
google avatar

Jessica C.

Yelp
My favorite conveyor belt sushi place on the Vancouver side fo sure ! Located in Salmon creek , this is a pretty regular fast lunch spot for me whenever I'm in the area. (HH pricing starting at 2pm too, so worth the cost during this time.) The salmon pieces are also huge for the price ! A lot of variety in rolls and the fish is good. Perfect for a quick stop sushi craving
google avatar

Ruth E.

Yelp
One hour wait to get our food. Several people that were sat at their tables after us were served, ate and left and no sushi for my table. I asked where our order was and we were informed that it's coming in a couple of minutes...lies. Still waited. Was the sushi worth the wait....NO! I should have read the other reviews before coming...big mistake. Will definitely not be coming here again.
google avatar

Jon S.

Yelp
Once my family's favorite, Sushi Chiyo seems to be a victim of its own success; staff seem unable to keep up with the volume of orders and I get the feeling that they prioritize DoorDash orders over those of people sitting in the restaurant. The food remains good and the ambiance is nice, but after having my order seemingly lost on two occasions I'm going to give them some time to sort out their workflows before returning.
google avatar

Becky D.

Yelp
We used to love sushi chiyo - after the pandemic & the window being broken things changed. Way too expensive & service not so great. Sorry the good old days changed...... !!!!!
