Interesting place. The wood choice and color theme remind me of Japan. It's run by Koreans, though. The staff is friendly and attentive. The decoration works.
The takoyaki was quite good. The bonito flakes were rather too much. The taste was amazing, though. Be sure to give it some time to cool down or take smaller bites. I'm always eager to pop the entire takoyaki ball as soon as it comes, and always regret burning my tongue. Yet, I keep doing it.
I came with a friend and went for the sashimi bowl for two. It was a mixed experience for a mixed bowl. Some fish I liked, some not so much. I will probably stick to the ones I like next time. This isn't any fault of the restaurant. I tried something I hadn't had before and found out what I didn't like. From my experience, it's hard to go wrong with basic sashimi like salmon, tuna, fatty tuna, etc., but some special fish, scallops, uni, etc., are hard to get right unless you're at an expensive omakase restaurant.
We were given two special rolls on the house with a fiery display, which was cool.
