This spot surprised me with how impressive the fish quality is, especially for an all you can eat place. Everything tasted fresh and the menu offers plenty of choices. The rice portions could be lighter, but the overall flavor and freshness make the visit more than worth it. I left happy and satisfied and I will definitely be returning.

We came in around 11:30 in the morning and from the very beginning everything felt warm and welcoming. The restaurant was calm and comfortable, and the food came out fresh, flavorful, and honestly just really delicious. Every dish tasted like it was made with care and we enjoyed every bite. The service was fast and genuinely kind. Our server Brie was wonderful, always smiling, always checking on us at the right moment, and she made the whole visit feel easy and pleasant. We had such a good time here and will definitely be coming back because it is a great place with great food and truly friendly people.

Sushi Damu has a lively, modern sushi bar feel. It’s trendy, with energetic vibes, music in the background, and a fairly packed house especially on weekend nights. Many reviews say it works great for groups, date night, or fun dinners where ambience is part of the experience. Rolls like Jen Jen, Dragon Breath, Yellowtail Star, etc., are called out positively. Good variety, interesting flavors without always masking the fish. If you go with the right AYCE tier, order smartly, and pace yourself, many people feel you get a lot of food for what you pay. Pick a few cooked/appetizer items too — tempura, yakitori, miso soup, because variety makes AYCE more fun. Pace it — don’t order everything at once. Trying several small rounds helps keep things fresh and avoid waste. If you want an AYCE sushi night, Sushi Damu is among the better ones in the area — especially if you focus on nigiri, sashimi, and try the higher tier.

AMAZING PLACE WOW I DIDNT expect this to be super fantastic delicious food. This place is 10/10 stars. Little pricier than other AYCE places but still worth it. We got the $60 sashimi plus ayce option, which is the only menu providing sashimi. We had the salmon, yellowtail, and seared garlic tuna cappraccio! Really good. Parking was difficult as the structure has limited parking selection. just don't go during popular hours.

Sushi Damu is the #1 sushi spot for us in Orange County!! I’m not even exaggerating. I’ve been to that place over a dozen times and they never let us down, like… at all! you’re experienced with sushi will never be the same.! 🍣🍱 FRESH FISH and ingredients!

I’ve been a loyal customer of this sushi restaurant for a long time, and I truly can’t say enough good things about it. The food is always fresh, delicious, and consistent , every single time. The staff are incredibly polite, kind, and professional. No matter how busy they are, they treat you with genuine warmth and respect. I often go with my two kids, and I still feel completely welcomed and at ease. I’m so happy this gem is in our area , it’s one of the few places that always makes me feel good. Highly recommended!

My boyfriend wanted to try this place out after seeing a tiktok about how it’s the best AYCE in OC and they weren’t lying! The sushi was incredible ESPECIALLY the Bluefin Tuna nigiri literally some of the best nigiri ever. They also had an amazing deal for a bottle of Soju and a pitcher of Beer (basically a DIY Soju Bomb fest) for only 20 bucks extra! To top it off, the vibes were IMMACULATE! The music was popping off and Bri was our server and she was super sweet and endearing and tended to our every need, answered every question we had and was super fast. We’ll definitely be back again!

Came here for the first time on a rainy Saturday day at around 4 pm with the hubby. Place had about 5 tables filled so not packed. There was no wait for us. Service was great. I like how they all work together and it's just not one server. So guests do not get neglected. Also, I love their ready to order sign on the table. Again, no neglect to the customers. It started getting busy at 5 pm but they still provided on great customer service. AYCE was great and would definitely come back.

A premium AYCE sushi experience that truly stands out. The quality of the fish is impressive for an all-you-can-eat concept -- fresh, clean-tasting, and consistently well-prepared. Each piece of sushi was thoughtfully made, from the balance of rice to fish, to the presentation. The menu goes beyond standard AYCE options, featuring a nice mix of classic nigiri, specialty rolls, and higher-quality cuts that you don't usually see at most AYCE spots. Service was efficient and attentive, with orders coming out quickly and paced well, which made it easy to enjoy multiple rounds without feeling rushed. The space itself is clean and comfortable, making it a great spot for both casual meals and group dining.

I always heard that Sushi Damu was a good place for ayce but since it's on the pricier side ($45) I never really went. But omg I definitely should come sooner! The interior is nice. Dimly lit with lots of seating. I don't recommend coming in a party larger than 8. 6 is best for comfort. The servers were very sweet and helped us right away explaining their system since it was my groups first time. The 3 of us decided to go for ayce since a la carte is not worth it when comparing prices. They started us off with the chefs special which I'm assuming every person gets one of. It was the toro and was absolutely delicious and a great way to start the meal. Everything was super fresh. The rice to fish ratio was not the best (too much rice some fish cuts to thin and other thicker) but the quality of the fish was so buttery and soft that it didn't really matter to us too much. Overall would come again if I wanted to spend a bit more! I think the quality matched the price but wish the cuts were more consistent!

1st time here. Needed to entertain friends in town for the holidays. My fellow Yelpers did not disappoint. Warning: expect a wait. It's a popular joint. Once in, we were given our orientation and set loose on the menu. Bring on the food train! Sashimi and Carpaccio were fresh and cut appropriately. Surprised that we got Toro, but I'm not complaining. All the cut rolls were as expected. Hit the spot. Service was good for as busy as they were. Great recommendations from the staff. The surprise was that they have a good selection of cold sake. Took my sister out for her birthday and we tried the premium menu with sashimi. The service here is a fun twist on rodizio-flip a card toward the sushi chef for service, and away when you just want to enjoy your meal. I was genuinely impressed by the staff's attentiveness; every time our card faced the chef, we were helped almost instantly. It worked even faster than the service buttons at Korean restaurants! As for the food, the sushi was fresh and offered plenty of choices. The online menu with photos was really helpful-no surprises, and it's nice that you don't get penalized for leftovers unless you go overboard. Portions are just right, so you can try a lot before getting full. I'd gladly return, though next time I'd skip the premium menu since I don't need so much sashimi. That's more for my sister- she's the bougie one.

Came to Sushi Damu for some AYCE sushi before our trip in SoCal ended. This was a first time for our group so we didn't know exactly what to expect. Our group of 3 came on a Saturday for lunch right as they opened. Luckily, we were seated right away. The inside is quite dim with a black/grey aesthetic. The TVs hung above us stuck on the AppleTV main menu. How it works: - There are 3 tiers of AYCE sushi you can choose from. - Your entire party must know which tier you want before being seated - They have a sign on each table a la churrascarias where you can turn it to "green" or "red" to indicate when you want to order more or enjoy your food without being disrupted. I feel like this sign didn't really work in this type of setting. We as the patrons were too busy eating to turn the signage back to red, and servers would come around occasionally anyways. - Annoyingly: I get why they do it, but they require ALL individuals in a party to purchase the same-tiered AYCE package, regardless if they are going to actually eat or not. So when seafood-averse SO (who was also not hungry at the time) wanted to keep us company he had to purchase the AYCE package just to sit with us. He ended up forcing himself to eat some of the appetizers to feel like it wasn't a total waste. Some notes of the food: Blue fin tuna - tasted great the first order, then took a dip in quality in subsequent orders! Teriyaki beef - super greasy, but tasty. Crispy rice - this was pretty good Hamachi collar - you can order this once PER ROUND according to the menu. Super tender and delicious. They also had a good handful of no-rice rolls like the sushi burrito or Jenn roll. Yumm-o. Also it felt a little awkward being able to overhear the big boss speaking with one of the new trainees/waiters. It sounded like he was interviewing this dude mid-shift. Not too great of an experience, but we definitely came out full to maximize on the price we paid.

I did not have a great time here during my last visit. I was reminded why I have not been here in a while. I came here alone on a whim because I was randomly craving sushi on a Friday night. I joined the waitlist via the Yelp app easily. The issue was that it kept bumping me down. At some point I was number 2 on the list but got bumped to number 6 because apparently other parties were getting kicked off the queue. It was at least an hour wait, which I expected anyways since it was a Friday night. But it was just a bit frustrating because you cannot really gauge if you should continue waiting in the area or go run some errands somewhere. I only ordered nigiri pieces, which were hits and misses. I liked the eel, yellowtail, and squid pieces the best. I did not like the smoked salmon and tuna. I do not think I have ever had good tuna here. The smoked salmon reminded me so much of lox salmon, which is salty and briny and far from smokey. I did love their appetizers. The yummy crunch, which is a poke wonton, was so yummy indeed.

The food here is great and the atmosphere is nice and cozy. Our server Audrey was doing her best to help us but was swamped with other tables too. Only reason for 4 stars is because I believe they should have more than one server helping 15+ tables.

Sushi Damu in Tustin gets great reviews for its fresh, made to order all you can eat sushi with premium options like bluefin tuna, Norwegian salmon, rolls, nigiri, and appetizers. I got the $60 all you can eat sushi option which comes with appetizers and Japanese bbq skewers. The seafood miso is also new on the menu. They also have new and exciting drinks like the ichigo hime and the melon creamsicle with the whole melon ice cream. The all you can eat menu also comes with complimentary matcha cheesecake.

Service is always amazing. Food is always delicious. We love this place and it has great vibes Liz and Mai are amazing waitresses and treat us the best! I don't really understand the hype around this particular AYCE place. We went at a decent time so there wasn't much of a wait (which is rare). It was still super packed and a line started forming we after we got there. The presentation of the sushi was definitely really nice but other than that, everything was mediocre. We ordered the blue fin tuna nigiri for the first and second round and BOTH times had to get it sent back. It looked like mush and tasted off, and we just were paranoid of it after that. The miso soup also was super watered down and under seasoned. The best part of the whole meal was probably the price and side of the beer

For an upgrade, you can get AYCE PREMIUM Sashimi!!!!! Including Bluefin, Yellowtail, Salmon, etc! I've never seen such high quality thick pieces of marbled sashimi for an AYCE. Finally tried this place after hearing rave reviews about it, and it did not miss. Husband literally said it was the best AYCE he has had and he is a sushi fanatic. The nigiri and specialty rolls were fresh and incredible, I also loved how it wasn't a ton of rice but just enough ratio. But, I highly recommend the upgrade for the premium sashimi. It melts in your mouth and you can tell the difference. Totally worth it if you are a true sushi fan. We wanted to eat so much more but our eyes were bigger than our stomachs. They also have a variety of appetizers and sides to choose from. The cocktails were also so fun and refreshing. Service was great and kudos to the chefs and the staff because this place was packed, but the food came out quickly!

We came at peak (Friday evening) so expediently it was a wait for our food and drinks, however, service was very kind and attentive! In the end we never had a missed order, or had to check in more than once on items. Good ambience, consistent fun 2000s classics playing. The strawberry ichigo drink was amazing.

If I could give this place 4.5/5 I would, but Yelp only does full number reviews and there were a couple things that happened during my visit that knocked the place down for me to not give it a 5/5. First walking in, there's a tablet to sign yourself in if there's a wait with a hostess desk at the end of the makeshift hallway. We got seated relatively quickly and were told what the two different ACYE menus have in them. It was a little loud in the restaurant, which caused us to not really hear what the hostess shared with us but we got the gist of the differences between the two menus. When it came to ordering food, it did take a moment for us to figure out how to order and call the staff over to pick up the sheet (the hostess explained but it was pretty loud where we were at so we just took a wild guess). The food did take a moment to come out but needless to say it was WORTH the wait. Most of the rolls and hand rolls we ordered were really good, tasty and fresh. The only roll we got that turned out to be a bit of a disappointment was the calamari one. Other than that though the food was fantastic, with a ton of variety! The servers were attentive but you could tell they either had a bit more call outs than usual or had more tables assigned because I think we had 4 different people come up to us to take and drop off plates, along with adding to our overall order too. The spot is a little smaller than most other sushi restaurants I've been to, but they do seem to have a decent turn around time. We went in when it wasn't prime lunch time and got seated right away, but I'm not sure how long the wait time for a busier night would be. There were a couple of TV screens placed above the sushi bar, showing POV shots of different popular cities in Japan. It's a charming spot and a good place to go for anyone who wants to participate in the ACYE sushi--just don't leave any rolls left over or order too much like we almost did

Ordered 3 rolls and waited over an hour for them, while tables that were seated AFTER US ordering AYCE were served multiple times. Finally after an hour, they bring 2 of the three rolls. Waitress disappears and then a chef (I think) brings a third roll, which was not the roll we ordered, but we didn't have the paper showing what we ordered, no one checked back on us and we were starving so we ate it. Finally flag the waitress down and ask for the check. The check had the roll we ordered on it so we asked for them to change it to the roll they gave us which was less $$. She comes back with our paper, proving we had ordered a different roll, and we had a pic to show her it wasn't what we received. No discount was offered for the excessive wait (they were not extremely busy), and again, people ordering after us were being served and leaving before we even got our food, nor was one offered for the fact that they gave us a completely different roll, which was subpar. I understand mistakes happen, but if someone had checked on us, or offered compensation, my review may of been different.

I went here since I saw that it had high reviews. I can say that the service here is good! I forgot our server's name (Brittney I think?) and the host was super nice! The quality of the food was really good! I got the premium selection which is VERY worth your money if you do get the more expensive nigiri (I went all out on the bluefin). The rice portion for the nigiri is smaller than other locations so you do get more of a filling on fish rather than rice. I did order the shrimp tempura which for some reason came out just warm, (Think like room temperature) which yes isn't the best use of the ayce, but still nice to have. I had to ask for the food to be cooked longer in order for it to be hot. The main reason for the low review was the wait time in between rounds felt like a while and it's why my review is so low sadly. :( Overall, good quality and service, long wait times in between rounds.

Craving some Sushi Damu so we came with a healthy appetite & we weren't disappointed by all means . Service is always at its best & for the ambiance is real trendy cool & collective. Dinner tonight was outstanding! The sushi is premium and super fresh. The atmosphere is chill; entire staff is attentive. Pro tip? Make reservations in their app.

My boyfriend loves this place because of the all you can eat choice and now we drive a while's worth to come here for that. I also like the ayce and their Yoshi Roll. I am guilty of getting a lot from their Izakaya (appetizer) menu throughout our stay because of the ayce (and they are good). Servers are great. They are usually waiting or attentive to notice when someone has their attention card flipped. Our server Matthew was pleasant and easy to talk to. Good music. Someone skipped a d4vd which was very good lol. It looks dark from the furniture and minimal lighting but there are cute warm light fixtures on each table as well as decent natural light from outside. Perfect during lunch.

You can wait on the Yelp list but you still need to wait inside. From when we got inside to actually getting an order in was 20-25 min. The quality of the sushi is superb with ikura as an option- we got a lot of the nigiri. Where it falls short is the appetizers. None of the appetizers stood out and with a $40+ price for premium which is the lowest price - there should be better appetizers or carpaccios.

Service is very fast, the food came quickly and we had lottle time to prepare for the deliciousness. Lots of great options, the yellow tail collar was a big size and yummily seasoned. Liz was great!

We're back and with stretchier pants, and surprise surprise we got Mai again as our 10/10 server. New character unlocked, Liz received and sat us within minutes of coming. We were well taken care of and the fish was somehow even fresher this time around despite how busy they were. Some of their menu items have changed, but the new stuff is really good (Sapporo roll, we've booked a trip to Sapporo because of you). Can't wait to come back! Waka waka

Came on a weekday afternoon with no wait. Servers were friendly and very attentive with the "help" flags that they have. Tried the premium ayce and the fish tasted fresh and with good texture. The only complaint I have is I feel like there's too much rice on the nigiris. When I take a bite, my mouth is full of rice that I barely get to taste the fish. The rest of their menu is good, like the rolls, hand rolls and appetizers.

Five stars for sushi damu! Everything is fresh and delicious! They have a great variety to try and best of all its all you can eat! Our server Bri was awesome! She was knowledgeable about the menu. Bri is super friendly and kept the sushi coming! Highly recommend. Come here now!

Food is good for all you can eat and they have a huge assortment of rolls, nigiri and hand rolls! Notes: come before 6PM or the wait gets long. Theres a note on the yelp sign in that states the yelp wait list times aren't entirely accurate.

Service was great. Bri was very helpful. Food is always a little slow to arrive but she was able to check on things and check with the kitchen when they sent out an incorrect hand roll. The fish is always fresh and flavorful but sometimes the rice is a little gummy. They recently changed the decor and it's nice and modern but it is a little sad that they got rid of the cool neon signs.

Fast service on a weekday early dinner. It was actually our 2nd time within a week and the server, Bri, recognized us haha! She was friendly and helpful in both of the instances we were here :D

We came here with my family to eat all you can eat sushi and I would say this is one of our newest favorite. All you can eat sushi places nearby. The sushi is refresh. Customer service is grade and they have pretty fast service for the most part once you're seated, everything comes out accordingly we didn't really have any issues and concerns. I would say we would like to just come back and I really hope that they continue to provide great customer service and for the CTV fresh. I think we really liked a lot of the appetizers. The fish that was grilled in general was really good. I think the udon itself is a little bit sweet though, but overall I would say I highly recommend this place to people that wanna have a good time. Eat sushi.

The rolls kept breaking apart (maybe not using proper sushi rice?), but the nigiri quality was solid. The real standouts for me were the specialty rolls and the chicken karaage. Good value overall. Service was also great!

You wouldn't think of it, but when you walk into this place it has such a chill vibe. There's some fun neon colored artwork on the walls, and some fun lighting. The service was great! They'll come check on you a bit, but you also have a sign on your table so you can easily flag them down. They're pretty quick to respond to it as well! We got the specialty drinks of the Espresso Martini, which was something that I've never seen in a sushi restaurant, but this was super smooth and it was a good chill drink. We also got to try the Soju Cider, which literally tastes like a hot toddy. It was pretty fantastic! All the food we ordered was fantastic, but boy, the smoked salmon sashimi and the Blufin Tuna (both Handrolls and Sashimi) we're fantastic. That smokyness of the salmon was great, I just wanted to make it into a Lox on a Bagel. Then that bluefin, oh man, how that thing is tender and melts in your mouth. Also, the Tako, probably the best tako I've had. It's not rubbery, it has a nice crisp to it. Then the Mackerel, it doesn't have that oily fishiness to it, it just takes so fresh. Check this place out! The price for the Sashimi AYCE is definitely worth it!

Happy hour again! I love this place! The prices are amazing during this hour, and the quality is definitely above expectations. Sally was amazing! She was so attentive and sweet. Gave my son a piece of paper to draw on to keep him busy while we ate. I asked about if any of the baked rolls contain cream cheese but none of them did. Luckily, the golden state roll does and they were kind enough to bake it! Superb service! They were also kind enough to drop off a chef special for us!

One of the best AYCE sushi place! My boyfriend took me out and surprised me with this place, it's an hour drive for us and he said "wait for it" so I waited - Food: absolutely great! The sashimi is all fresh, the wait time for the service is good too, doesnt make us wait for long. we chose the premium sashimi package ( as i remember) i would say I enjoy it a lot - Service: They made me feel like I'm a VIP. They talked nice and we felt happy leaving a good tip because they deserve it! I've eaten here for AYCE once and the quality is up there. The service is fast, staff are friendly. Lately I have been ordering from them to go because they are running a 50% off special on certain rolls. I get their spicy scallop and their tuna/salmon combo. Other items are available too. Should give them a try if you're craving sushi but do not want all you can eat. Good experience so far and I haven't had any items missing.

I visited Sushi Damu on a Friday afternoon for lunch and went with the AYCE Sashimi Menu. If you're dining in during April, they're offering a complimentary drink with that specific menu which is a nice bonus. The sushi came out quickly and was excellent. A few pieces of tuna were still a bit frozen, but that aside, everything tasted fresh and well-prepared. The standouts for me were the bluefin, salmon, and yellowtail in both nigiri and sashimi form. I was also really impressed with the items outside of standard fish, such as octopus nigiri. I don't normally get appetizers at AYCE sushi restaurants, but I wish I ordered more here. Their tempura was fried perfectly with not too much batter. One item I'd highly recommend if you're looking for something different is the yellowtail collar. It was fried to perfection and had a lot of meat on it, making it one of the highlights of the meal. In terms of overall quality, this was the best AYCE sushi experience I've had in the area (and I've tried five or six others nearby). That said, the sashimi tier runs $60 before tax and tip, so it's more of a special occasion meal than a regular lunch option. I do plan on coming back to try their other AYCE tiers as the appetizers and fish quality were solid across the board, so those seem like a great value. The service was great too. Staff were super friendly and attentive, and the food came out very quickly, although it was a weekday lunch so take that with a grain of salt. I appreciated that each table had a little sign you could flip to get your server's attention. The dining area itself was clean and cozy with most tables being booths which added a nice level of comfort to the experience.

Came in during happy hour, nigiri tasted fresh and the toro was tender fatty. Enjoyed all the sushi rolls, my favorite roll was the craw me daddy, crawfish was cooked well and flavorful, especially with the sauce. Service was a bit slow because a new chef was just hired, but overall service was good and attentive. Matthew and Liz were great, they checked on us often and updated our orders.

We had dinner here on Wednesday night. It wasn't very busy and there was quite a bit of parking in the shopping center that it is located in. The restaurant itself is warm and inviting. A great place to eat and have drinks with friends. The staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. We got the premium AYCE with the sashimi plus. This is totally worth the price. The quality of the sashimi is incredible and may just be my new favorite place for sashimi. We started with some yellowtail collar, baked mussels, mixed tempura and mozzarella. Everything was so delicious especially the mozzarella, which was like a jalapeño popper. We got a round of carpaccio. The colors and the flavors were so good. Next up was the nigiri. The presentation was spot-on and the flavors were wonderful. They even made a bunny out of the shrimp for us since it is almost Easter. The best thing was the sashimi. The best presentation of the entire meal. All of the sashimi was melt in your mouth delicious. We found out the tuna is omakase grade bluefin tuna and that they are the only restaurant in the OC to offer this! We also got to try their two new cocktails. The first was a warm soju cider. And the other was an espresso martini. Definitely two drinks I never thought I would find at a sushi restaurant. Both were delicious. We loved Sushi Damu and cannot wait to go back!

This was my third time going to Sushi Damu, and I honestly could not recommend it enough. They offer different tiers of all-you-can-eat options, with some including sashimi and premium fish selections. The salmon and tuna were especially fresh, my favorites, and they had plenty of delicious variations of each. The rolls were excellent too, which isn't always the case with all-you-can-eat sushi spots. Their appetizers were also great, and the wait time wasn't too long the night we went, which was a nice bonus. Overall, it's a wonderful all-you-can-eat sushi spot that I highly recommend! The ambiance in the restaurant is upbeat, with mood lighting, and great service
