Entry requires a numbered ticket, there’s no reservations, and since it’s a standing sushi bar, seating is limited to the counter. Come early to grab a ticket for que and go shopping at Ginza Six and come back later when your place is ready. Your wait time is updated and you will get notification. Ordering is done via a web app by scanning a QR code with your smartphone—a very easy and efficient system. Omakase high-quality fish and the taste was absolutely delish. The price, was reasonable and affordable for the fresh fish and our chef always gave me the nice and big cut of fish !!! 😉

Not sure why people rate this place highly. We came in the evening, there was no line. We were let in after 10 min or so. We didn't mind standing and eating, because we didn't think we would order that much. It was pretty nice weather outside and inside was freezing. The kitchen had 3 people - only one was mainly making hand rolls. The nigiri came out pretty quickly - the fish was fresh and delicious, but not of outstanding quality compared to other places in Japan. The rice was cold-ish, not soft and nice like in a good sushi restaurant. The hand rolls took forever. We only ordered 3. Waited over 40 min. We felt all the locals are getting better treatment (maybe they didn't order hand rolls at all, hence the better pace). After 40 min, standing and freezing, we got all rolls, but still were missing one nigiri for unknown reason. Honestly, we had no interest in waiting more and asked to cancel it. Pass. 3 stars because fish is quiet good, not outstanding though.

Very hole in the wall type of place but serving excellent quality fish and shellfish Nigiri pieces. Ordering is made easy and accessible by using their online ordering system by scanning a QR code. Warm, quaint and local atmosphere. Nigiri 10/10, service 10/10. Highly recommend after a day of walking around Ginza.

Was going to rate 5 stars. Until went a 2nd time. Some young chef was serving us. Ruined the whole experience. Everything he served was not comparable to the 1st visit. It tasted bad the 2nd time. Ruined my appetite. Because of him. Won't go again. And wouldn't recommend to anyone. ONLY if you get the female sushi chef is it good and worth it.

I arrived at around 3:50 pm and queued for about 10 minutes, receiving a ticket for the 6:00 pm seating. Walk-ins are also possible. The ingredients were extremely fresh, but since it’s a standing sushi bar, it can get a bit tiring after a while.

Very very good sushi here, made in front of you with love and passion. Easy ipad ordering system and food arrived quickly. I was lucky i didnt have to wait as i just made it before the kitchen closed (1.5hrs before closing time)

Ginza Onodera is a world-renowned high-end sushi brand, with its flagship store in Ginza and international acclaim—including two Michelin stars for its Los Angeles location in 2022. Its reputation for top-tier sushi is well-established, but this time, I visited Ginza Onodera Tōryūmon, a branch known for its exceptional cost performance. Tōryūmon is designed as a training ground for young sushi chefs, meaning the sushi is prepared by apprentices still honing their craft. Because of this, the prices are significantly more affordable compared to the main location, where dinner courses start at ¥25,000 and up. Entry requires a numbered ticket, distributed via a ticket machine at 3:00 PM, with service starting at 4:00 PM. There’s no reservations, and since it’s a standing sushi bar, seating is limited to the counter. Ordering is done via a web app by scanning a QR code with your smartphone—a smooth and modern system. Despite being a training-focused branch, they use the same high-quality fish as the flagship store, and the taste was absolutely on point. Considering the price, it felt like an incredible deal! If you’re looking for premium Ginza sushi without breaking the bank, this is the spot. Onodera also has a conveyor belt sushi branch in Ginza and other locations across Tokyo, so I’m definitely planning to check those out next time. Check out the photos for more details!

A truly elevated omakase experience that lives up to its Michelin-starred reputation. Every piece is a masterclass in balance and finesse—from the buttery otoro to the melt-in-your-mouth uni. The seasonal selection shines with perfect rice temperature and expert knifework. Watching the chefs in action at the counter adds theater to the meal, and the service is graceful yet unpretentious. It’s not just sushi, it’s precision, tradition, and art in every bite. One of the most memorable meals you can have in Tokyo or abroad. 🍣🌊✨
