"When you order sake, the chef presents a box of paulownia wood containing Satsuma and Tenma kiriko cut-glass drinking cups. These craft traditions of Kagoshima and Osaka tell of where the chef was born, and where he apprenticed. Fish is selected at Tsuruhashi Market. The meal starts with snacks before proceeding to more creative preparations, attesting to his experience. Nigiri are formed small, in the hope you will sample as many different items as possible. The chef’s ready smile is another factor that keeps diners coming back." - Michelin Inspector

Excellent experience!! I made a reservation for lunch through My Concierge Japan, and they were very helpful in communicating with the staff before our visit. My boyfriend and I ran a little late, but the chef was very kind and accommodating. Each course was explained beforehand (translated from Japanese to English with use of a tablet, and sometimes with visuals in a sushi book), and it was amazing to see the level of detail and care placed in preparing each item. They are very passionate about what they do, and they were eager to answer questions and engage in conversation both during and after our meal. I highly recommend dining here, as it was a very personable and unique experience!

The sashimi was extremely fresh, and the servers were very attentive. I accidentally dropped my phone on the counter, and the sous chef personally walked over to return it to our station. The service was truly exceptional—100%!

Everything was amazing and highly recommend you book ahead. chef was super friendly and gave great whiskey recommendations. 20+ courses and we were all stuffed by the end of it. its in a location where you wouldnt think theres an omakase restaurant lol its in like a residential neighbourhood

The best sushi experience I have ever had. First off, each piece was amazing. The uni (which i dont normally like) was so good. There is so much showmanship with how they slice the pieces and prepare the nigiri. We were all quietly watching and it felt like a concert or symphony. With each item on the menu they show you an English translation on a tablet or a page out of their sushi book to explain the pieces so you can learn. Very friendly staff. Top notch experience.

Very premium priced sushi Omakase. They also serve a series of dishes prior to the sushi, to be honest wouldn’t rate it, flavours were quite dull and felt more like being at an Izekaya vs a sushi omakase. However the sushi itself was superb, very well made and ingredients were extremely fresh. Special shoutout to the anago nigiri.

Taisho might be a bit quiet but his sushi does all the talking for him - a wonderful array of the best shari prepared with a novel and singularly stunning ethos. Dishes may be either new or traditional but either way, it will come with an approach that will make it genuine and distinct, elevating it above many other top sushi restaurants.

Speechless, just come here and experience the service yourself. It’s totally worth it.

The chef makes you feel comfortable, even as a foreigner. The ambience was very good and the meals prepared were out of this world. It is very worth the price, even including the concierge fee (for peoples outside of Japan). Hopefully will go again soon, would definitely recommend this Omakase as a foreigner.
