"For months, temporary signage has been promising all-you-can-eat dining was on its way to Fremont East, but Sushi Ichiban is now officially open, sitting across from the El Cortez, and serving an expanded menu featuring special, baked and deep fried rolls. The new restaurant replaces Shinya Maru Ramen & Izakaya from California’s Octopus Group and brightened its predecessor’s 2,718-square-foot interior space, located at the base of the Emergency Arts Building and next door to the American pub menu at Eureka! An illuminated, inflatable, winking female mascot named Ichi-jjang, who also appears on the restaurant’s candles and menus, greets Sushi Ichiban diners at the entrance. The restaurant is open for dinner Monday to Thursday and offers a $23.95 lunch service from noon to 3 p.m. on Friday to Sunday. Sushi Ichiban customers can choose from dozens of à la carte sushi roll options, or stick with the $27.95 all-you-can-eat selections. Customers must make reservations for dining and the restaurant offers a 90-minute limit for eating. Appetizers include shrimp tempura, pork belly, baked mussels, crispy rice, salmon collar, agedashi tofu, and a salmon skin salad, with yellowtail, halibut, and tuna among the sushi options, plus red snapper, eel, octopus, tako wasabi, squid, and quail egg nigiri pieces. Mochi ice cream joins the less traditional tiramisu and affogato for dessert. Sushi Ichiban, 520 Fremont Street, Suite 150, 702-478-5333. Reservations can be made by phone, or in person." - Bradley Martin

Food: it’s all you can eat place which is great if you have a big appetite. I want to have soup, which was slightly bland not as flavored as I would have preferred, but the tofu was rather on the softer which is nice. I got the sex bomb roll which had a nice crunch on the outside spicy mayo, and eel sauce which adds a really nice taste with the cream cheese which wasn’t too overwhelming. The mistake roll had salmon with creamy base saucy which can be a bit overwhelming but nonetheless still delicious. Service: if it gets busy in the front, just make sure to sign on their sign-up sheet make sure you’re trying to be seated. The service had a very kind lady that was vey sweet Ambiance: it’s a smaller than I thought it would be but it provides a few spots for the bar and can fit about eight people per table. It’s very similar to a Japanese household, but can be loud and it’s how close everything is. Location accommodation: it’s a few minute walk if you’re staying around downtown and it’s super convenient as it has bright lights that you can’t miss it.

Google
The udon had an overpowering sweet taste to it and the shrimp tempura topping got soggy before we could even consume it. The California roll and the poke didn't have a wow factor. But the service was fast and efficient and the location is a bonus.

Google
Easy to find location. Beautiful and modern traditional inside the restaurant. Service is outstanding. Everyone is super friendly. Sushi is also outstanding, fresh and tasty. This is a definite stop for a terrific meal and the price is affordable.

Google
I'll start by saying I'm not a huge fan of sushi. I enjoy it but it's never the first, second or third choice personally. This place's food is pretty good. We ordered two baked rolls and a normal one . Also had miso soup and veggie tempura. It was all fine. Not extraordinary, not poor. Just fine. Everything came to $63 so I'd say it's similar to a sushi place back home.

Google
Fantastic food and even better price considering the area. I wish I knew our server's name because he deserves some kudos too. Felt kind of rushed to order initially, but it calmed down. Would definitely come here again to stuff my face with delicious sushi

This was my second time coming here. The place is very small inside and kind of hard to maneuver around. However, the food is excellent! And we always do the all you can eat, and it really is such a great deal. There’s so many choices and options to choose from, the appetizers are just fantastic.. The edamame is the best. I love the flavor in the sauce that they put on it. All of the sushi rolls taste absolutely fresh and the service is really good. They do get very busy so there may be a moment before someone comes back to the table to see what else you would like, however all of the staff working are very friendly. I will absolutely be back again when I am in Vegas.

We had a fantastic experience here with our new best friend, FRANKIE! We enjoyed so many different foods and drinks. Not only did he take fantastic care of our party with conversation and recommendations but he went above and beyond for my husband and I after we left. We accidentally left some very important paper work on our table. Frankie kept it safe and was so friendly and helpful in returning it to our possession. We can’t thank him enough!!!

I came here 2 years ago and still the same quality. Always my go to spot to drink and eat myself to death.

Yelp
In San Francisco, $35 would get me two maki rolls. On Fremont Street, it gets you an absolutely insane range of options with decent to good quality of fish! I thought the weakest was the tuna -- it was a bit mealy and pale, which is typical for mid-tier frozen maguro. But used for spicy tuna or tucked into rolls, I didn't mind! Other options, like ikura (salmon roe), salmon, amaebi, yellowtail, and red snapper were excellent. The broiled salmon collar and fried coconut shrimp were table favorites. Despite the goofy name, we loved the "orgasm" roll, too. I prefer cut rolls with a base of tuna or tempura, and there were plenty of creative options built around that. The only bite I really didn't like was their uni, which smelled sulfurous and tasted bitter. I've had better AYCE in Vegas -- Jjanga and Ono come to mind -- but given I was staying at the El Cortez literally 50 feet from Sushi Ichiban, I was very happy to get a good meal for a great price on Fremont Street, which can be pricey.

Yelp
A hole in the wall kinda place. Not super fancy but the service and food were great. Both my coworker and I accepted the challenge of all you can eat sushi for 90 minutes. It's not just a small selection either. It's a massive selection full of two pages of simple to complex sushi concoctions. I made it almost 6 rolls deep. With gyoza and some pork belly that we shared. So if you're craving sushi and have an appetite to match down by Fremont street stop in and mow down a few rolls!!!

Troy T.

Yelp
Came here with some friends and our stomachs came to conquer this AYCE spot. My buddy and I did damage as we had to eat for our kids and significant other lol! We came here around 5ish and we were lucky enough to get a table for our party right away. The service was pretty good and you can almost stop any server as they were willing to help you with your order. Our main server didn't come around too much, but we were hungry, and we ate pretty fast, so we took charge on getting help when needed. But there wasn't any pushback or issues from the servers. I'd say from what we had ordered, the food was good. Sometimes we got wrong orders/another table's order, but it wasn't a big deal. The place does get a little busy when people get hungry. We ate until our time was up. Great place for AYCE sushi!

Sho I.

Yelp
This is the ONE place for AYCE sushi in the Fremont area of Las Vegas! My visit to Sushi Ichiban was during my very first time going to Fremont and staying at the Golden Nugget Casino, which is the OG classic. If anyone decides to go off the beaten path of The Strip, then I recommend eating here as part of your trip. Ambience has quite a lively vibe! We made reservations earlier that day, which I highly recommend. While we did have to wait for 10 minutes or so for the staff to wipe down and set up our table, it wasn't too bad. You have a time limit of 90 minutes, but I'm sure this amount of time is more than enough. You're given a paper menu and then order whatever you want with the server. Some of the notable items were the following: - Pork belly - Sashimi poke - Uni (only 1 per person though) - Salmon Pinklady (salmon sashimi decorated like a rose) They have a bunch of rolls, too, but I don't recall the names. Service is quite prompt. All of this food is only $34.95 per person (before tax and tip) - such a steal! If you want to see a video version of my review, here's a short I made: https://youtube.com/shorts/FPWj2rOVx0w?feature=share

Yelp
Our family had a fantastic time at Sushi Ichiban. Our server was welcoming, pleasant, and made our dining experience even better! We went for the AYCE option. While the food is not out of this world, the value cannot be beat. And the quality exceeds what we expected at this price. Having a 90 minute time limit for our meal felt stressful, but it was enough time for us to have a good meal, including dessert!

Shar S.

Yelp
A friend and I came here for dinner one day, and it was delicious! We both went with all-you-can-eat, and I ordered a Peach Soju. The service was great, we were helped promptly, and the restaurant was pretty and clean. We couldn't ask for more!

Vanessa O.

Yelp
Great food & customer service. Staff are really attentive. The best ayce I've had in a while. Can't wait to go back!

Veronica G.

Yelp
The food here is always so good ! My coworkers and I always order pick up and it never disappoints ! They have a take out special that has 3 rolls and an appetizer and it comes out to $37 with tax. The lady that always greets me is always so friendly ! It's usually busy when I go inside and the restaurant has a lot of seating so it's good for groups too! I recommend coming to give this place a try!

Belldandy O.

Yelp
This was my first time at an all you can eat restaurant in Las Vegas and it was at this sushi restaurant! Definitely ate my money's worth and then some. Couldn't remember what we all ordered, but there are lots to choose from on the menu. It is located in downtown Las Vegas, so off strip, which is nice since it wasn't super crowded, and we didn't have to wait long until a table was available for a group of five people. It was surprisingly chilly inside. That air conditioning was working hard that afternoon while we were there.

Christie F.

Yelp
We had a $600 To-Go order and the manager, Angela, handled everything flawlessly! All of our food was correct and it wasn't stressful when it easily could have been. I would 100% recommend their awesome food AND customer service!!!

Jenna J.

Yelp
Amaaazing. We stopped in and ordered all you can eat sushi for lunch on Sunday. $30 for made to order sushi? I'm in love. Service was great. Sushi just kept coming. Our favorites were the spider roll and the volcano roll but we enjoyed everything we ordered. Delicious. We will definitely be back when we return to Vegas.

Matt B.

Yelp
Good food, good service, it's downtown so you know the vibe is good. This is a sleeper AYCE spot. Definitely check them out.

Chad T.

Yelp
We went there with a party of six had a great time. I ended up getting all you can eat sushi. The rolls are very tasty and the sushi is very tasty also. Others in my Party had the tempura with soup and rolls, sushi. The ambience was great very hipster location. it was located in Fremont Street area off of the strip. Don't get scared when going to this location. It is in a kind of seedy area of Fremont. The food is very tasty. Give it a chance you'll enjoy it!

Gus G.

Yelp
Excellent restaurant for you are really hungry and sushi is your choice All you can eat with great customer service Huge many with lots of options Great ambiance

Beth W.

Yelp
Located in downtown Vegas walking distance from all the cool divey bars and Fremont street. Gold star for location. Definitely a good value. A fair price for all you can eat sushi that includes speciality rolls and you are allowed to share with others doing ayce which I appreciated. Quality is as expected for this set up. Service was a little too fast and too the point. Definitely felt like the goal was to get out out of there hence the missing star. Recommend if you want average sushi for w great deal in proximity to your hotel or night out.

Christina B.

Yelp
Came in on at 9 pm on Monday as the last meal on vacation. $34.95 all you can eat sushi. Place could easily be missed from the outside. Once in, I was immediately greeted, seated, and explained the all you can eat options. Pretty much anything on the menu you can get, some only 1x but really a great deal. Frankie was awesome, excellent service from him. I sat at the bar and he was so friendly and talkative while working his but off. Everything was made fresh right to the side of the bar. Ordered an appetizer of Whos your daddy and damn, so freaking good! It is fried but the stuffing inside is to die for. Order an Amigo roll and a Vegas roll and that was enough for me! Delicious! Dessert is included and had an affogato. That was a first for me and I loved it. All in all a delicious dinner to finish off my stay in Vegas.

Jay M.

Yelp
First time here and it's was a great experience the staff was very friendly and the inside looked cleaned and maintained. The food was good it didn't wow me that's why I'm giving it 4 stars but it wasn't bad it was very fair for the price you pay will I go back probably

Brylee W.

Yelp
The food here was really good and fresh, and the food came out really quickly. The sushi rice had a great texture and the bulgogi was so tender that I cut it by sliding my chopstick across it, no bullshit. The service was quick, attentive, and friendly/sincere. I loved the decor, the seating arrangements, and the home-like feeling you get while here. The dimmer lighting makes you feel less like the spotlight is on you, and more on relaxing and enjoying your meal. The pricing for the AYCE is really good, and I like the idea of universal servers, as anyone can help you (your table isn't assigned to just one person). This alone makes ordering and requesting things for your table such a breeze.

Tiffany F.

Yelp
The service gets a ten but if you look closely the rolls are all crab meat.... Or cali rolls. If you like nigiri def come here!! It's really good and worth the money but not the rolls. The ambiance is fun and looks like you're in another place.

Kate N.

Yelp
$35 per person, all you can eat sushi. Sushi is high quality and you have your pick of the menu, 4 pages long. Atmosphere is cozy and service is friendly. Really liked this place overall & would be a regular spot for us if we lived in the area!

Richard S.

Yelp
This place was all you eat appetizers and sushi. $32 beans.....what a deal for the quality of end product! This place was excellent....and if you're on Fremont St and need lunch/dinner...this place is a good one! Our family has had plenty of Asian cuisine....and this place will do you a solid! Ans (don't) be thinking they're all slow - getting the food out. The have folks back there; that put the muscle behind the hustle!

John D.

Yelp
This place was pretty legit. All you can eat sushi, appetizers, etc etc for $35 and all of it was delicious. I had never had one of the cone shaped rolls before but really enjoyed it. The shrimp tempura was great, as was California and tuna rolls. Dumplings, etc. it all rocked. Ambiance was nice too. I could see it being great for a whole bunch of diff scenarios.

Kristan A.

Yelp
Fast and fresh sushi served in a Las Vegas level of quiet ambiance. Directly across from El Cortez Hotel and Casino. Everything is made to order and in the many times I've visited, it never smells fishy or bad. Seats are comfortable for what they are as I am a big girl and wooden seats are always a bit of a problem. Service is excellent and friendly. They are a great locally known place that a lot of tourists will by pass even though they are up there with the AYCE sushi places on Spring Mountain. I appreciate that you can order half rolls in case you aren't sure if you'll like something.

Anthony T.

Yelp
I've been eating at this sushi place for about 3 years. I live right down the street. I would dine there about once a week. I loved it for so long. There was a really nice female owner/manager. Then all of a sudden several months ago, the management changed. This younger male manager leaves a lot to be desired. He has no customer service skills in my opinion. I pretty much stopped going there because of him. Interestingly, when spending time at the El Cortez (we get free comps to dine there) the subject of this sushi restaurant came up. I found out that I'm not the only one who felt exactly the same way, and they don't really eat there anymore either. I guess this new management has left a bad taste in several other locals' mouths. Such a shame since the food is good.

Sharika M.

Yelp
Came here twice during our trip, once in the beginning and once near the end. We wanted to go to Le Thai (across the street) but they were booked. We stumbled across Sushi Ichiban which is across the street. At first, we were skeptical because we had to wait to be seated, the waiters looked very flustered and you can see the hungry look on those seated. We got a table within 15 minutes and it took another 10 minutes to get the menu. This spot is $30 for all you can eat sushi. I was nervous because there's a 90 minute eating limit and if the food service was anything like getting a table and menu, we'd be screwed. That being said, THE FOOD COMES OUT SO QUICK! We were so impressed! The menu is lengthy and the servers were patient and kind!

Sierra S.

Yelp
This is our favorite sushi spot in Vegas hands down! We have been to many sushi restaurants but none compare to Sushi Ichiban. The service is the friendliest I've ever seen. It's a little hole in the wall but don't let that deceive you! The sushi is fresh and delicious, and there's not a bad item on the menu. The shreck roll is my favorite.

Adam H.

Yelp
Tonight, we decided to give this restaurant a second chance. I'm so glad we did. The experience was so much better than our first visit. The service was pretty good. The items we ordered came out pretty timely, mostly. The portion on the Chicken Teriyaki was better. The Philadelphia roll was great. The Ichiban and 911 specialty rolls were good. The gyoza was tasty. However, the sauce that came with it was not what I expected. The garlic edamame was meh. The strawberry mochi was a nice small finish. Overall, I was pleased with my experience. I really appreciated that they offer Coke Zero, though I wish the soft drinks were fountain.

Rose R.

Yelp
Nice hip restaurant. Really great food, found some items to be on the salty side, still tasty. Music can be more for adults, not really kid friendly, perfect for dates.

Keriyana C.

Yelp
I'm such a huge fan of downtown Fremont. The vibe is fun its not overwhelming w over priced drinks and food. My bf and I found this place on Yelp. The decor and restaurant size is spacious, very hipster vibe. We were greeted and seated quickly. They do offer A.Y.C.E which to be honest my bf & I never do. Since it was our first time and they had an assortment of items we caved in & did A.Y.C.E. We got our usual sake bombs, I do feel like $10 for a Sapporo is a little steep for a beer. Average price should be $7.50-$8.50. The house hot sake was also $10 which I felt was a little much as well. Unless it was great quality sake it shouldn't be $10. Moving on to the food. Some highlight dishes were the KFC which was a sweet, spicy & sticky fried boneless wing. I really enjoyed the cucumber salad, good flavor & they had a nice crisp (usually it gets soggy). The sexy orgasm roll was delicious, great portions whether its A.Y.C.E or a la carte. My bf enjoyed the cajun albacore. I wasn't a huge fan of the sushi/nigiri. Some of the fish I felt were a little too mushy. If you know me and my reviews I am a stickler for quality sushi. I will say they do cut their fish properly. I've been noticing some sushi places in CA cut the fish in large pieces and that's not the proper way when its nigiri style. Thick cuts should be w sashimi & no carpaccio is not the same, it should be cut thin as well. Other than that the baked mussels were really good, great flavor & fresh tasting. Our servers were excellent they were always attentive & ready to take our orders. Alll & all it was pretty good for the price for the A.Y.C.E. The alcohol I felt was a little over especially being basic hot sake/beer. Most of the dishes were fresh, the sushi was my only complaint. It wasn't bad but I think I'm just very particular. Service was awesome & it was a chill fun atmosphere. My suggestions try the KFC it was killer!

Yelp
AYCE! Very cute place, service was great. Some items did take a long time to come out. Great amount of drink options, large number of items/rolls. Highly recommend coming here very affordable and cute little spot!

Geoff P.

Yelp
The same amount of sushi elsewhere would cost much more. But go elsewhere. Poorly rolled, not-so-fresh, and small. If you're looking for gas station sushi served to you at a table for a higher price, this is the place for you.

AJ S.

Yelp
Loved everything about this place! Cute little place right off Fremont with fast friendly staff. The sushi is real deal, super fresh and delicious. Will definitely be back!!

Joseph W.

Yelp
For ayce this place was ok. What missed the mark was many items were not available which were one order premiums. No sweet shrimp No bacon wrapped rice cake No yellowtail The fresh wasabi is fake, it's not real wasabi. Fresh real wasabi is hand ground on site. What I paid extra for came out of a can. Don't pay the extra $3 The waiter was nice and the other food items were decent. 1/3 of our orders got lost and never came. Some in our party left hungry. Sin city has too many ayce japanese places so I would look elsewhere.

Ethel C.

Yelp
Came here again yesterday. We loved it like how we loved it the first time we came here in January. Friendly staff. Great food!!! Not too expensive. Will come here every time we go to Vegas.

Willow J.

Yelp
We went in when they first opened and it didn't have too many people luckily, so the service was very fast and everyone was so friendly! The food was soooo good! We did all you can eat and it is really worth it if you know your limits on everything. This is right across from the Cortez and is perfect if you need to grab a quick bite outside the hotel or are in the general area

Kalina T.

Yelp
Fast service, walking distance if you're in the downtown area, reasonable price for AYCE sushi

Louis C.

Yelp
My go to sushi spot I've lived here since 2022 excellent price and the best quality if you love spicy tuna, get the crispy rice appetizer.

Helena M.

Yelp
Amazing Sushi! Melts in your mouth!! The best sushi I have ever eaten. Staying at the El Cortez perfect dinner after checking in. What I really like is the team effort with the staff. The food came out fresh and hot. Relaxing environment.

J L.

Yelp
I came here for the all-you-can-eat option @ $35/pp, and this place did not disappoint. The sushi was marvelous! They have so many choices, and we were able to order half roll also (full roll is 8 pieces), allowing us to try more dishes. The service was excellent too - fast, friendly, and efficient. We had multiple servers attending to us, always making sure we had enough to eat. And, the sushi came out SO FAST! The only odd thing about this place was the inside - it looked more like a cowboy saloon - so ambiance is not its forte. Still, what mattered the most to us was the FOOD quality and service, which were amazing. Highly recommend this place!

Eric E.

Yelp
If you're reading this looking for good sushi, don't make the same mistake we did. We had a party of 10 looking for a place to eat, we saw the 4.5+ yelp rating and we're like 'Ok maybe we found an awesome AYCE place in Vegas!' After the meal, asking around the table, the average rating was 4... out of 10. Between 10 people doing ACYE we tried pretty much everything... At least 30 different apps and rolls and Nigiri. If you stick with the VERY basics, or if you don't really care about the quality and just want to stuff yourself, you'll do okay I suppose. Tuna and shrimp basically. Simple rolls without sauces. The ikura was fine, and people liked the inari. The crispy rice was good but quite heavy. A couple people really liked the KFC nuggets - personally I thought they were drowning in sauce. The bad stuff? Miso soup, house salad, Uni, quail egg, dynamite, agadashi tofu, seared anything, Shrek roll (veggie roll that tasted like a bottle of white vinegar). We had to designate a seagull to stuff pieces into his mouth and run to the bathroom to dump it down the toilet so we didn't get charged for leftovers. Probably 20% of our food suffered this fate. The rice in general was super vinegary and too mushy. I realize it was only $35 but really... A sashimi deluxe dinner at a nice sushi place costs about the same and if you value quality over quantity you will be much happier.

Megan G.

Yelp
OH MY ICHI BUN! Sooooooo freaking delicious. My husband and I were in last night and we were highly impressed!!! We got AYCE, decently priced considering inflation and its Vegas (we live in CA and it's $33 and here was $35). Anyway, we tried the Amigo roll, Orgasm roll, French Kiss, Happy Ending, Mango Style and more but also the Raiders Roll. Who would have thought PEANUT BUTTER ON SUSHI?!?!?!? DELICIOUS! The service was great, it was like the servers shared tables because both servers came and checked on us and made sure we had everything we needed and putting orders in. The place is clean and loved the Japanese style of course and it wasn't packed, quiet and food came out fast! Perfect for date night. We come to Vegas often enough but not enough now that I know this bomb sushi exists. Highly recommending you try it.

Nancy S.

Yelp
I absolutely love this place. I wish it wasn't downtown where you have to pay for parking, but it's worth it. Their AYCE menu is huge. They have so many options, including appetizers! They have some really unique rolls that have peanut butter in them (don't knock it til you try it - it's fantastic). The staff is super friendly and really fast. I'm always coming here with a group and the food comes out so quickly - especially for how much we order...lol. If you love AYCE sushi, please give them a try! You won't be disappointed!

Wesley S.

Yelp
First time I've been to an all you can eat sushi restaurant, and this place is amazing! They have a TON of rolls to choose from (raw, baked, and deep fried), nigiris, appetizers, and desserts! Everything was fresh, tasted super good, and unlimited! Highly recommend this spot. Will definitely come back here next time.

Jedd D.

Yelp
Really good all you can eat sushi with great friendly service! Highly recommend. I also like that you can get 1/2 rolls to try more variety.

Becky K.

Yelp
Located in the heart of downtown Las Vegas. This sushi restaurant is conveniently located right off of Fremont St. just far away from the hustle and bustle of the crowded areas. The only negative was that we had to wait a while to be acknowledged or seated but they were very busy. Seating is limited and some tables are community seating. We chose the all you can eat. The menu was large with lots of options. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and we will be back!

Wendy G.

Yelp
Food- 5 Fresh, exceeded expectations Service -5 Friendly, Fast, polite Cleanness- 2 Restaurant floors, table , and restroom dirty. Need improvement!

Michael M.

Yelp
I haven't really had food sushi since I left South Korea, but this all you can eat sushi restaurant hit the spot. It is across the street from my hotel and is only $32.00 and worth every penny. As long as you can eat your weight in sushi. The staff was all from #Korea so it was nice to hear the language spoken so fluently and so often. The staff couldn't have been better and hung out with me when they weren't serving people. #TravelingAmerican

Yelp
Normally I don't dock a place for bad service, but given it's all you can eat, and they took 30 minutes between rounds (first round came 30 minutes in...) it was really pretty bad. The rolls are fun with creative fusion sauces, and smaller so you can try more. However, the fish doesn't have the freshest taste. Overall, pleasant but overpriced for the quality and poor service.
