"I observed that Sushi Jinjin on the same block had closed within the last eight months, one of several businesses to vanish from that stretch." - Tim Forster

Best sushi in Fairfield County! Freshness, quality and selection of seafood can't be beat! Creative menu offerings. Large sake selection. Professional, attentive and knowledgeable staff. Chef Jerry and team are highly skilled and innovative. Bartenders Gabrielle and Mallory are friendly and nice. Tip #1: Weekday and weekend dinner hours are super busy. Make a reservation, table or bar. Tip #2: Go and sit at the bar in the afternoon when they're less busy and you might be party to one of the chef's off-menu creations! Tip #3: Order a large bottle of sake and ask to be served in the glass sake dispenser. You can also choose your own sake cup.

I stopped in here on a whim while running errands and was SO pleasantly surprised by the lunch special. 3 rolls and the best ginger dressing salad I have ever had for $18! Service was quick and kind and my food was fresh and delicious. I would absolutely return.

I’m a huge sushi fan - Sushi Jin was quite good but the air conditioning is a real problem, it’s uncomfortably cold and the vents blow aggressively on you no matter where in the restaurant you sit so bring plenty of layers - even in July. The fish is fresh and well presented - the decor is nice. Instead of sushi I had to opt for a warm dish. The grilled lobster was really good. Overall a 4 star experience I think.

We came to Sushi Jin on a Saturday night, and while it was definitely busy, the wait was completely worth it. We ordered the regular omakase, which included 10 pieces of premium sushi—each one fresh, beautifully prepared, and bursting with flavor. One of the standout dishes was the Toro Tartare with caviar which was rich, indulgent, and perfectly balanced. Another surprise hit was the Pork Soup Dumplings. It was delicious, but just a heads-up: it’s filled with hot broth, so take that first bite carefully! The service was decent, especially considering the crowd, and the food came out at a great pace. Overall, an amazing dining experience with great food that made the busy atmosphere feel well worth it. I’ll definitely be back to try more dishes on the menu.

Stunning room with NYC energy, especially at night. Friendly, attentive staff. Prices are great. Food is fine—nothing memorable—but fair for what you pay.

This sushi restaurant left a great impression on me! The interior is clean and cozy, creating a comfortable dining atmosphere. The sushi is made with fresh ingredients, and you can really taste the chef’s craftsmanship in every bite. Besides sushi, other dishes are also delicious and authentic. What surprised me the most is the price—it’s very affordable and offers great value for money. Whether you’re dining with friends or enjoying a meal alone, this place is a fantastic choice. Highly recommended!

I have lived in Japan for the last 25 years and we are in New York visiting family. We went to Sushi Jin last night. It. Was. Amazing. (yes, even compared to traditional Japanese sushi!). Every different food we tried was outstanding. The oyster sauce on the wagyu taco is a great contrast to the soft flavorful meat. The Peking Duck Taco had the most interesting mix of flavors that brought out the duck - it is a Must Try. However, I was most impressed with the Yellow Tail Jalapeno dish. The fish falls apart as you pick it up (you can immediately see how soft it is and you begin to expect it will melt in your mouth. Spoiler alert: it does). The sauce on the fish adds a dynamic mix of light spiciness and zesty that highlights the melting fish. The original cocktails were highly enjoyable. We had the Sakura Sangria and the Lychee Martini. Both easy for us to recommend to someone that wants to try a high quality beverage. You can tell a lot of time went into the design of the restaurant. I was also able to meet the owner who explained some of the ambience: There are custom carved Limestone walls, all the tables came from a single massive slab of wood, and the bathroom walls were hand crafted. Hands down one of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time. 10 out of 10. would go again.
