Google
A hidden gem in Doral – underrated simply because it’s not widely known. Honestly, it’s better than several of the more ‘trendy’ sushi spots in the area. Walking in feels like stepping into a little corner of Japan for a while. Highly recommended. Quality food is great and sushi rolls and rise options are amazing, please try the dumplings 🥟, awesome taste.

Google
Sushi Joe never disappoints. I just came home from a long day and was really craving the Krabby roll with shrimp tempura on the side. I recommend to get it with spicy mayo sauce it just adds an extra wonderful kick to both. This place is delicious and the waitress who attended me is very sweet.

Google
Food is very good . No complains. My bowl with rice and sashimi (chirashi bowl) was very good. Traditional place. Full of Japanese or maybe Korean guys. Service is extremely slow If you are in a hurry don't come here ..! Not too expensive BUT not cheap, either. Again. Food is very good but again service is sooo slowwwwwww ... Ohhh. My plate comes with a salad. They forgot the salad ...! 🙄🙄🙄

Yelp
This was a grest little find tucked away in a shopping center that conveniently has a walgreens, dry cleaner and pediatrician. I wish it hadn't taken me this long to check out this restaurant. The people there are very friendly and can adjust your sushi order to your liking. We love their katsu and their upon soup. Everything comes out fresh, and the soups super hot the only thing I was not a fan is that I found the soups to be overpriced for what they were but I guess it is to be expected from a restaurant in the Doral area.

Yelp
All in all I went because the girlfriend kept telling me she wanted me to try it. Small hole in the wall but that's never an issue. The service was super friendly welcoming us in to take a seat wherever we'd like and all smiles while doing so. We started off with a hot sake which was smooth and went down really nice. We also went ahead and ordered a couple rolls... a dragon roll and the Veronica roll. Both were very nice bites! However, the star of the show was the Katsu Don! Perfectly cooked pork, the rice was soaking up all the flavor from it along with the eggs and onions and it all came together like a huge blanket of flavor. 10/10 would most definitely recommend!

Yelp
Super fresh sushi. Nice local business. Simple surroundings with kind servers and diligent chefs.

Yelp
A staple in doral for sushi. This place is small and quaint with no frills. What it does offer is high quality sushi without all the gimics. Do not underestimate by looks, this place is Great for sushi enthusiasts and it probably one of the oldest or first sushi bars in doral. Highly recommend, keep in mind it's small, authentic Japanese lol

Yelp
We have been going for many years to this great establishment with no complaints. They are authentic and true to their culture. Unfortunately, last week we ordered take out and the food arrived fresh looking but the taste was not fresh at all. The story does not end there. After reaching out to the restaurant and explaining the situation, the owner himself, Joe, was incredibly apologetic and extremely understanding. They went above and beyond by inviting us back for a complimentary dine-in experience. The second visit was exactly what I always experienced before: the atmosphere was inviting and the service was impeccable. The servers were attentive and Joe himself offered excellent recommendations including his mom's own recipe for the Karaage chicken which out of this world. The true star of the evening was of course, the FOOD! Everything was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavors. Sushi Joe's in Doral commitment to customer satisfaction is truly impressive. Their willingness to turn a negative experience to a positive one speaks volumes about their dedication to quality. We even got a complimentary dessert of fluffy, sweet, delicious Thai donuts. If you are looking for authentic Japanese dining experience with exceptional food and service, Sushi Joe's is THE place.

Yelp
To say that Sushi Joe is a five star establishment is an understatement. This restaurant not only provides high quality Japanese cuisine but also an incredible service that makes you feel like you are being welcomed into a japanese home. Joe (our server) went out his way to make my family's night out an incredible experience. I will never go to another Japanese restaurant. Sushi Joe is THE Japanese restaurant in Miami.

Yelp
Been coming to this spot for almost 10 years now. I absolutely love Sushi Joe. The staff is always phenomenal & so welcoming & the rolls are like no others. Definitely try the specialty rolls on the table. The Captain Louis & the Jumping Fernando are to die for

Yelp
This is my favorite place to go for lunch !!! Their combination lunches is such a value!! You get sashimi, roll, salad, and sushi for just $14 !!! I love coming to this place. Everything is always fresh and they serve Japanese beer here !!!

Anthony S.

Yelp
Order the blue monster roll you won't be disappointed. Absolutely quality food. I highly recommend this place for Japanese food.

Yelp
I've been to Sushi Joe many times and they never disappoint! It is absolutely worth the drive to Doral just for the quality and taste of the sushi alone. My friends and I rarely order off of the menu here, instead we have the chef surprise us with a few different kinds of rolls to share. The rolls are a great size. Always leave with a happy belly!!! They actually have a unique beer here as well (although I can't recall the name) that is definitely worth trying, too. Lovely place overall!

Yelp
I have been coming here for many years and this is my favorite restaurant in Doral. The staff is very kind. My favorite rolls are the Captain Louis, Eagle Roll, Birdie Roll and Jumping Fernando. If you like noodles I recommend the Yakisoba with pork. They have amazing lunch specials for a good price. Sashimi brings great options, the quality and price is better than any other local restaurant. The ambience is quiet, calm and comforting which is very different from most places in Doral. Today I tried the Katsudon and it was amazing! A very comforting and filling meal. Great place to dine in or for take out.

Yelp
I can't say enough good things about this place. My wife and I used to go to dragonfly, in downtown Doral, for sushi. But the original owner sold it. After that, the menu changed and food got worse since he left. As such we needed to find a new sushi place. This fit the bill. It's a small hole in the wall in a strip mall, next to an Italian and middle eastern place. The wait staff are usually pretty good. But it's the food that shines here. Every roll I've had has been terrific, and the teriyaki was some of the best I've had. But the star for me and my wife is the gyoza soup, teeming with lemongrass and nice sized dumplings. The broth is frankly addictive. And it's the perfect way to start every meal there. I'd give this place 10/10.

Paul H.

Yelp
The food and service were excellent....with a special thanks to Panita who made our dinner special, with her outstanding service, passion and personality!
google avatar

Chanthyna C.

Yelp
I would definitely come back here! The tuna was fresh, the eel was cooked perfectly, the sushi rice wasn't dry or overcooked, and the flavors were good. We also ordered the shrimp shumai which was stuffed with good chunks of shrimp. Overall, the food was delicious, service was attentive, and the ambiance is similar to what you would expect in Japan where the focus is on the food, not the location.
google avatar

Yelp
This place mecer fails! Always Fresh and great service! I tried the captain roll and I highly recommended it! its my favorite for sure!!! I love authentic restaurants! Sushi joe definitely is on my top 5!

Yelp
The food was amazing!! I ordered three rolls (coconut shrimp roll, Captain Louis, and the miami crunch roll) SO GOOD. the captain louis roll was so thick i couldn't even fit one roll in my mouth IT WAS SO TASTY. So was the coconut shrimp, it didn't even taste like coconut but it gave sweet flavor it was so good. The miami crunch roll was so juicy also it was amazing. The service is awesome too. I ordered pick up but when i got there they were so kind and welcoming. The ambiance is so cute it's like a hole in the wall, a mom and pop shop type of place so it gives a comfortable warm feeling. Definitely recommend! I also ordered the gyozas, also great!
google avatar

Denise D.

Yelp
Love love the Joe Charashi! So fresh and tasty! The cuts were well portioned. I ordered thru ubereats. The JB handroll was very filling and tasty!

Yelp
google avatar

Yesenia P.

Yelp
fresh fish, delicious food, great service, reasonable prices. we usually pick up but ambiance has been nice when we've eaten in. recommend 100%
google avatar

Briana T.

Yelp
A family-owned spot with the food to match. Filling and fresh, and can't say enough good things about the wonderful folks who run it. I eat here at least once a week. Favs I didn't picture but that are outstanding are the Top Roll and Coconut Shrimp Roll. Give them a try, you won't regret it!
google avatar

Melissa F.

Yelp
I work nearby and have seen this place driving to work. I ordered lunch through uber eats and it did not disappoint! We ordered the jumping Fernando, Louis rolls and curry udon. AMAZING! The rolls were very fresh and flavorful and the udon had the perfect amount of kick to it. Just a little side note, the rolls are massive! Definitely making this my new lunch spot, can't wait to try the other things they have.
google avatar

Amittai Z.

Yelp
So good! Are here for the first time & it will be our new go-to sushi spot. Rolls are good portions, very tasty, & very good prices compared to other nearby sushi spots! Our server was so sweet & attentive too, will definitely be back!

Neil K.

Yelp
Delicious sushi, the best I have ever had in my life. Amazing service and a nice quiet atmosphere. Would highly recommend.

Yelp
Great sushi but honestly everything is great. The katzu don is great, you can also order some off menu items like Onigiri which is hard to find in SFL. We usually go with the pickled plum and bonito flake Onigiri. The service is also fantastic. Your next stop for truly authentic Japanese cuisine.

Yelp
Fantastic sushi that is very fresh. All of the food truly was delicious. However, I went by here for lunch and and the waitress who served us was not nice at all. In fact, she was very unpleasant and even rude. For example, my uncle who I was with ordered a green tea. He wanted some sugar for his green tea but in the tray on the table there was only one packet of sugar. He proceeded to ask our waitress for more sugar to which she responded with giving him one more sugar pack making a total of two. Her literal words when handing him the sugar pack was "you don't need anymore." I've never witnessed a server tell a patron you don't need any more of anything ever unless it's more alcohol when the patron is clearly drunk which does not apply at all here. Then the general attitude of the waitress was pretty cold and inattentive for the rest of our lunch. It's a shame about this service because the food really is awesome, that's the only reason I'm giving it three stars. I just hope they step up their game with their service as they are not the only sushi spot in Miami by a long shot.
google avatar

Angie P.

Yelp
Been coming here for years and quality has always been consistent, not to mention the owner and workers are always warm and welcoming. Their bento boxes and the captain Louis roll are my favorites.
google avatar

Lasana S.

Yelp
Sushi Joe is near my job so I visit frequently for lunch. Their $8.95 lunch special is one of the best in town. It's a no frills restaurant with a Japanese sushi chef. Just good sushi at a reasonable price.
google avatar

Nicole I.

Yelp
I've only ever ordered delivery from here but it's been awesome every time. The fish is very fresh and the roles are great. The lunch specials are a great deal and very filling. The captain Louis roll is my favorite!! I would highly recommend.

Yelp
If you are looking for the best sushi in DORAL visit Joe. Very traditional Japanese food with the Mix of flavors. I love the volcanos and the tequeños with a cold sake.

Meri M.

Yelp
My husband and I decided to go to this restaurant because we had been there before Covid and loved their sushi. We walked in sat there for 10 minutes nothing then 2 black women walked in and they came rushing to provide them a menu. I never felt so discriminated in my life (I'm Latin) and even after they gave them the menu we sat there and nothing we got up and left. I know so many people In this city I will make sure to spread the word.
google avatar

Pablo R.

Yelp
Great price, great food, and great service. A friend showed me this place, and I'm very happy he did. We had an array of different foods and they were all amazing. Very glad I found this spot, and would highly recommend for people who don't like going to the typical "Ra" and "Sushi Sake" type places.
google avatar

Amber M.

Yelp
Me and my girlfriends to go place for sushi (and teriyaki chicken)!!!! I've been eating at Sushi Joe since I was 10 years old. I love going to this family owned business. They do an exceptional job and it always hits the spot. I've never had a bad experience here and every time I do take out they never forget my extra sauces. Love it!
google avatar

Neil C.

Yelp
Haven't found myself seeking out Sushi Joe in a long time. It's not that the food isn't good. It's actually pretty good, but it's a very small restaurant with poor service. Expect to spend extra time waiting for the server while you're already seated. Expect subpar service. It was pretty bad during my visits as the server was usually young and inexperienced. As for the food, there's not much to complain about. In particular, I like their noodle dishes such as the Nabeyaki Udon and the Curry Udon. The sushi is good too.

Katherine S.

Yelp
Sushi here is so so so good. My fav is the JB tempura fried roll they have. It always comes so warm and nice and I crave it alll the time!! The service is always so wonderful too :)
google avatar

Hector N.

Yelp
If you're in Doral and want the best sushi, Sushi Joe is the place to go. Anyone who tells you otherwise doesn't care about your happiness and is trying to hurt your soul. The food is of unparalleled quality prepared in front of you by Joe himself. The food is always fresh and perfectly prepared. Portions are generous and prices reasonable. You may have to wait a bit as it's not a big venue...but it's absolutely worth it.
google avatar

Ivanna P.

Yelp
I love Sushi Joe, I've been coming here for some time now. Not only is the service great but so is the food. I generally order the special roll, where the chef makes his own specialty roll, and it never disappoints.
google avatar

Michael C.

Yelp
This is your typical, average-Joe Japanese restaurant. The venue itself is small and has a sushi bar. Just like a California Roll, Sushi Joe is pretty standard and comes at a pretty economic cost. The lunch specials are affordable and carry a fair amount of food. The "C-Lunch" includes a ginger salad, an 8-piece California roll, and an assortment of sushi & sashimi. The salmon, tuna, etc. arrived fresh and some of the sushi had a 2:1 fish to rice ratio. The pool of eel sauce on the side was especially thick and delivered on that signature sweet and hickory flavor. The food was prepared rather quickly and met my expectations. On a hungry day, I would probably order one of their more elaborate, pricier rolls. It's also, as I previously mentioned, a small venue so I'd try my best to avoid the large crowds during prime business hours. I wouldn't say that this is my go-to for sushi in Doral, but it is nice to have Joe around.
google avatar

Mirtle P.

Yelp
LOVE the Captain Louis roll. When I'm feeling like "treat yo'self" this is the roll I get. It comes with salmon, but I have it removed (had a bad moment with salmon sashimi once).
google avatar

Jacqueline M.

Yelp
Ahhhhh my heart is torn...I thought my calle ocho roll at sushi sake was my bff until i met its cousin the cuban roll at Sushi Joe! Completely taken by surprise by this place, while it lacks the glitz and glamour in decor and vibe, it more than makes up for it in the food arena. They've got quite the menu with tons of what you'd classify as "local flavor" and unique roll concepts. One of those being the Cuban roll- shrimp tempura, turkey ham, cream cheese and sweet delicious guava sauce smothered on top- deeeeeeeeeelish! So maybe thats not your cup of tea, luckily for you there are more than enough options to sway you in either direction. This place seems authentic, no fluff...and the patrons seem to agree as it got pretty packed within minutes of walking in. I can always appreciate a server who knows the menu and is not afraid to make honest recommendations... got that from Luis, he was fast, friendly and funny so overall a winning experience.
google avatar

Krys P.

Yelp
This is one of the few Japanese places in Miami that is owned and operated by Japanese. Not to be racist, but I suppose it makes me feel the food is more authentic. Walking in it's like being transported to somewhere in Tokyo. Especially with all the shikishi hanging on the wall and the whole shelf of old manga magazines by the restroom. My favorite here is the champon noodle, a rare find in Miami. It's a delicious bowl of noodle with some meat, seafood and veggie. We also like the chirashi sushi rice bowl and the katsudon pork chop rice bowl. Overall very nice quality.
google avatar

Phuong O.

Yelp
We ordered curry rice, gyoza, and shrimp yakisoba and all were so delicious but the portion size is too small for the price they charge. Curry is lightly spicy with beef that shreds when bitten into. The gyoza came in 4 pieces which means each piece is almost a buck a piece. Very good, the soy sauce is very salty than your usual soy sauce. We got both chicken and shrimp yakisoba and we like the shrimp better. Portion size for this dish is kinda small. It's very sweet and not overly salted. We definitely will come back for more. Place is kinda small and dark.
google avatar

Manuel G.

Yelp
Just found my shusi spot a whole in the wall literally I had the steamed gyoza which were fire the octopus was really really good loved it thinly sliced with a nice kick ! And the crispy Bok Choy was phenomenal. They had a chef special roll which I can't remember at the moment but it was amazing , loved everything will be becoming my go to spot! Good job chef !

Yelp
I have been wanting to check Sushi Joe for a while, because me and my boyfriend have meet Joe Ikarih. He is friends with one of my bf homeboy. Since he told me about his family restaurant I have been dying to try. And I did, I loved it. Everything was so delicious and fresh I haven't had sushi in a while due to that my favorite sushi place closed. But i think sushi joe its my new favorite. They also gave us complementary beer due to that our order took longer than expected. Overall service was amazing as well as the food.
google avatar

Mohammed A.

Yelp
Taste: Absolutely delicious Portion: Great Price: $20 Avg Shop size: Small Big fan of their special roll "Mo" don't miss it! Great customer service

Marelis C.

Yelp
I can understand they were closed due to covid for some time, but it has been close to two years and everyone else is open for dine-in, seem like there cutting corners to me: will take my business elsewhere, try Miyako, also nearby. From 5 stars to zero stars for sushi Joe.
google avatar

Cristy M.

Yelp
Just picked up several rolls from Sushi Joe and they were all amazing! Hard to pick a favorite!! We had the birdie roll, dragon roll, captain louis, rainbow and guava!! We will definitely be back soon!!
google avatar

Yelp
I am thoroughly impressed by a lot of the Japanese restaurants in Doral. Sushi Joe has a very "ma and pa" atmosphere as soon as you walk in. Though the restaurant is not too big, but there's comfortable and sufficient seating. I pretty much get the same thing at every Japanese restaurant for lunch: a bento box. I got their A Lunch, which consists of chicken teriyaki, sashimi, vegetable tempura and...A BOWL OF RICE~ I'm so happy cause a some Japanese restaurants don't include rice with their lunch specials. It's not a complete lunch without rice :) Definitely recommend a cup of hot tea to go with your lunch. Hits the spot. All the flavors were traditional and superb! Fish was fresh, chicken was nice and juicy, and tempura was crispy but not too greasy! What really caught my eye, was the scallop dynamite made from scratch. The chef really took the effort in mixing everything in proportion. And the presentation was delicately arranged. I definitely feel "omotenashi" at Sushi Joe because everyone was relatively friendly. Didn't request much but still pretty pleased!

Yelp
This place was rated quite well. It was good food and the fish was fresh, so we stopped in. I wasn't extremely impressed. We had the tuna guacamole but it wasn't really very tasty. The Blue monster roll was good but not filling enough. The inside is lit up and I prefer a dimmer place. It seemed like a cafeteria like atmosphere. All in all it's pretty good food but not my cup of tea.
