Cute little restaurant, but the food 🤢. Food presentation is nice, but that’s about it. We tried quite a bit and we both agreed it was all terrible. I was shocked to see they used frozen shrimp for the appetizer and shrimp fried rice. $15 for fried rice full of frozen shrimp and frozen vegetables. Nothing had any flavor. Very bland, and pricey. Overall I would never return or recommend.

This place is fantastic; it wraps you in the atmosphere of a Japanese garden, with the freshest and most delicious food. I go to this place every week for their Mango Paradise sushi — it has become not only my favorite, but also my best friend’s and my boyfriend’s. I’ve been trying new dishes, and I’ve liked all of them. It’s one of the best Japanese restaurants in Dallas — highly recommended!!

We tried Sushi Kadan and overall had a really good experience. We ordered several rolls: Crazy Mama, Mr. Lee, Mango Roll, Las Vegas, and Crunchy Dynamite. All the rolls came out quickly, which was nice, and the presentation was clean. The fish tasted fresh and flavorful, and you could tell they use quality ingredients. We had also ordered the Crazy Girl Roll, but it ended up being sent to another table by mistake. At first, the server who brought out our food insisted it had been given to us, but after checking they realized it was a mix-up and removed it from our bill without issue. I appreciated that they corrected the mistake fairly quickly. For dessert, we tried the Tempura Ice Cream. It was a fun treat with a nice crunch, though they topped it with Hershey’s syrup, which didn’t really pair well with the ice cream. A different sauce would have complemented it better. The staff overall was friendly and upfront — they even let us know when the kitchen was closing, which we appreciated. The waiter also made sure to point out which menu items contained pork once he learned we don’t eat it, which showed real awareness and care toward the Muslim diet. That was a very nice touch and made us feel more comfortable ordering. At the same time, there were a couple of service hiccups. We had to call a waiter over because dishes were starting to pile up on our table, and water wasn’t brought out until almost the end of the meal — and even then, it came without straws. That said, the ambience was beautiful. The restaurant had these elegant decorative trees that gave the whole place a warm and inviting feel, which made the experience even better.

Google
My favorite sushi place so far! The ambiance and decorations are really cute. We walked in and were sat in less than 2 minutes. The owner/manager greeted us and was really involved throughout the restaurant with the servers. We ordered tempura and 3 sushi rolls. We were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the rolls and the manager even offered us a cute orange cut into the shape of a bear! Service was 10/10. Would come back!!

The atmosphere here is amazing and feels like you’re being submerged in the culture. I really liked that part. The food I ordered was a bit flavorless and took a lot of doctoring for it to taste decent. Their service depends on a button which I’d a bit different, but it works here because it’s a relatively small restaurant. I like how you can see what is being made as well.

Google
We ordered the Vancouver Roll ($15.50), Yakuza Roll ($17.50), Alaska Roll ($17.50), Big House Roll ($14), ZigZag Roll ($15), Holdom Roll ($16.50), and Ika Geso Karaage ($9). All six rolls were tasty and the portion sizes were pretty big - the 4 of us left feeling very full and it was about $30/pp, which is solid for good tasting sushi. The fried squid wasn’t very good, I would not get it again. The service was kinda mid, since the waiters did not come around to fill our waters. Overall, this place is worth the price for the taste and quantity of food.

Google
Sushi Kadan, Dallas has very good food, beautiful atmosphere, and great service. The sushi rolls were good, happy hour Sapporo was a great price, and the owner have the cutest Orange Bear to finish the meal

Google
Food was yummy, tried eel for the first time in my sushi roll and it was pretty good. I also tried the fried rice! It was good just through me off that it had edamame in it but still yummy!

Yelp
We also got the crazy mom Roll which was BOMB Honestly all of it was really fresh and well made, delicious all around. But the thing that stuck out the most was how BIG the rolls were, and super reasonably priced. Two of us had the monkey brain and 3 rolls, and couldn't even finish it all.

Yelp
Sushi Kadan never disappoints. Great service. Fresh and delicious sushi. The best sushi I've had in Texas, hands down.

Yelp
A diverse menu of beautifully prepared Japanese foods, especially sushi. Service is also excellent. I dine there about once a week.

Yelp
Sushi Kadan is our go-to place for sushi! They have great sushi at an amazing price. We have been here many times and our favorite dishes are the Soft Shell Crab for appetizer and the Yakuza Roll. We ordered their sashimi once but found the slices to be too thick. The service is very quick because you have a button that calls the server and they bring out the dishes within 15 mins of ordering. For the ambiance, we love the giant sakura trees in the middle! It's a great place to catch up with friends and for a date night.

Yelp
Great place! Have been going since its opening. While I've noticed some changes in quality , I still find it worth returning to! 4/5 service, welcoming, sometimes food comes out slow but I understand thenfood industry 4/5 Ambiance, beautiful interior, seating is okay comfort wise 3.5 Food, select few rolls are STARS though (Gold Mountain), others are good but not standouts!

Yelp
Honestly one of our favor spot for a sushi date night. It was actually recommended to me by a coworker and this place did not disappoint.

Yelp
I stand with Salman's review. I recently moved to DFW and have had dozens of standout, amazing meals. And, Salman is right. Service here is polite. Price is great - $30/pp before tax and tip. They use plastic glasses, which is good for kids. Music wasn't too loud. The fake trees in the middle of the restaurant are super cool. I also appreciated the window coverings, which perfectly diffused the afternoon light and masked the adjacent parking lot some, making a great oasis. The raw fish I tried was fresh. My favorite roll was the Yakuza Roll. The cilantro in the roll was awesome. We also got the salmon tuna roll combo and the Las Vegas roll. Salmon/Tuna was fine but the rice was not great so threw off the roll balance. Las Vegas was actually just gross to us so don't order it. How can rice be bad? I know it sounds crazy but I have had enough sushi to know that the rice was off. The rice tasted pretty mushy and too sweet for what most sushi restaurants serve. Sushi rice in my experience has had the rice technique down where individual grains are visible and the rice vinegar/mirin used to make the rice sticky is "just enough" to do so but is akin to eating a carb cloud. This rice tasted pretty interesting, where possibly too much vinegar/mirin was used. Overall, we were very happy with portions. Having to take two bites of one roll piece did not bother us. BUT I can't get over the rice. Not a fan. We'd come back all the time if the rice was better. I'm sure sashimi is awesome. But until the rice is fixed, we won't be back.

Yelp
I was supposed to get lunch with a friend at Mike's Chicken. Silly ol me overslept so my friend went to Sushi Kadan in Carrollton. Luckily, I was able to barely make it. I got the burning man specialty roll. Inside of it was shrimp tempura, spicy tuna, avocado, and jalapeño. It was topped with assorted seafood, tempura flakes, spicy mayo, sweet mayo, and eel sauce. The rolls here are hugeeeeee. They're basically the size of 2 sushi rolls in 1. I love how they don't hold back on the tempura flakes. My only complaint would be that they actually don't have rice at the bottom of the sushi rolls so they would break apart after my first bite, but they're so big that I wouldn't be able to eat them in 1 bite anyways. I really enjoyed this roll and would for sure come again to try some more

Yelp
Tried this place in Texas for the first time and the food was mediocre... The inside of this place is what made it the most enjoyable. Having fake cherry blossoms, nice backgrounds/splashes, and cute seating arrangements made the place lovable. I ordered some Takoyaki, two Sapporo's, and had some Beef Yakisoba. Takoyaki was fried to perfection and delicious. The Beef Yakisoba was okay and didn't taste special. Ofcourse the beer was cold and tasty as usual Sapporo is. General takeaways, for the price, it wasn't too bad. However, the taste wasn't outstanding besides one item which was the Takoyaki. On a scale of 1-5, I will give this place a 3/5. Give it a shot for yourself and maybe you'll have a better experience than I did. At least the experience from the servers was attentive and kind.

Yelp
They have the best sushi prices in town- super reasonable and affordable! Miso soup for less than $2, yes! Bring me a giant bowl, please! Fresh-fantastic- flavorful sushi! Large portions, great service. I wish I would have gotten pictures of everyone's order- everything looked stunning. I would only suggest better seating- we were seated under the tree where the seats wrap around the table- we had a party of 9 and it was a little hard to talk to each other and we had to move in and out for each other. Overall, delicious and divine dining experience! Would love to visit again very soon!

Yelp
Sushi Kadan is great for when you are craving sushi at a great value and quality with nice ambience. The restaurant itself is small, dimly lit, and cozy with a beautiful cherry blossom tree decor in the middle of the restaurant. The service is always great and the quality of the food is always consistent. One thing to note about their sushi is that their rolls especially are HUMONGOUS. It is at least 1.5x the size of a normal sushi roll at most places. Although a size like this would make me cautious about the authenticity and quality of their sushi, their rolls are absolutely great. Their quality of food is always great and consistent overall. The nigiris are also larger than normal as well. Most of their nigiris that I've tried were great except for mackerel, but that's a tricky fish to prepare well. Besides sushi, their dinner food items that we've tried were all great. We have had their fried rice which is surprisingly good and addicting especially for a sushi specialty restaurant. They have great happy hour drink specials as well that involves hot or cold sake, beer, etc. Overall I would absolutely suggest this place if you are in the area!

Yelp
I really wanted to give this place 5 stars because it is SO CUTE inside and they really do have a variety of different items on the menu. If I was just basing my review on the food it would be 2 stars but I am opting to 3 because of the service and the decor. Positives: The ambiance is great, very dark inside with cute lit up trees lighting the area around the tables which feature bench type seating with cushions giving you very Japanese vibes coupled with the trees that kind of remind you of cherry blossoms. Would be cute for date night. There is also a button on your table that allows you to call the staff. The garlic edamame is something not usually seen on menus and was delicious! My favorite thing we had for sure. Food came out very fast although the restaurant was packed, which was great. There were a lot of people and it was Saturday night but we sat down right away. Spent around $100 for 3 adults 2 kids which is very affordable. However, I have to note that although service was attentive and great in general, the food was lacking in flavor. Negatives: The sushi rolls are very very large making it difficult to eat / share with others. Somehow the flavors of each roll were lacking, not enough sauce, not enough flavor in any of the seafood, even the wasabi tasted somewhat bland...The tempura ice cream shell was very thick, I did not enjoy it as much as I have at other places. The fried rice had absolutely no flavor, the noodles were cut short which was kind of odd in my opinion and tasted somewhat sweet which I also did not like. The baby shrimps used in both the fried rice that we ordered and the noodles, not good. There were tiny gnats or some type of small bugs that kept landing on the plates that almost made me not want to finish the meal. Overall, I think some minor changes would make this restaurant a very desirable location to dine at.

Yelp
Sushi Kadan is one of my favorite neighborhood spots! The sushi is flavorful, the rolls are huge, and the prices are very reasonable. Plus, the ambiance under the cherry trees makes it such a cute and cozy place to dine. My family and I come here often for special occasions. Highly recommend!

Yelp
What happened to the quality?? We ordered a to go order last night (June 30th), everything was gross and barely edible. We've been coming here for over 3 years so this is extremely disappointing. What we ordered: -Chirashi don: the rice was stale, hard, old, not edible, The cuts of sashimi were not fresh and thick cut. Gag. -Yakuza roll: messy, falling apart and not fresh yellowtail. -chopped bay scallop roll: sloppy, falling apart. -rainbow roll: another sloppy roll that was loosely wrapped, poor quality fish & awful cream sauce added on top. -edamame: dark green, over steamed and stale -cucumber salad: the only edible thing in the order. -yellowtail sushi, tuna sushi, ebi shrimp sushi: decent but not great I'm just thankful we didn't get food poisoning afterwards. We barely finished any of it because it was that terrible. On top of bad quality fish, all the rolls were terribly made, falling apart and sloppy. I did a better job at a sushi class @ Sur La Table.

Brandon Y.

Yelp
Last few months we've come it's been slowly declining. Which is sad, because we once loved this place. Roll sizes have shrunk significantly (half the size of what they used to be) and the service has been flat out bad the last few times. This last visit may the end of our coming here

Tara T.

Yelp
Great sushi. Their rolls are big and it'll get you full fast. Nice decorations & I would definitely come back.
google avatar

Isabel J.

Yelp
Received an online order with rotten avocado throughout all of my rolls. Had to toss it out.
google avatar

Andrew H.

Yelp
Honestly, the food was delicious. Their portion sizes were massive and definitely shareable. The restaurant was very beautiful and had great decorations. HOWEVER, the floors were completely dirty and stained our shoes when we had just arrived and didn't notice. They didn't clean up the floors from previous customers and ended up staining our nice shoes. Our waitress was super rude as well and very confusing. We ended up having to physically show her on her Ipad exactly how we wanted to divide up the check. She also was super rude and told us that they had ran out of spicy mayo to one of our friends but provided it to the other. And then when we asked a different waitress, they brought it straight to us. Also on the menu it says that there is diet dr pepper but they do not actually have it. Finally, the bathroom sink was clogged and overflowing. I really loved the food and enjoyed the older gentleman running around and checking up on everyone but the service from the waiters was just awful and rude. It really ruined the experience for us.

Yelp
I've been here several times and it's always been great! I looove the idea of the fake Sakura trees inside the restaurant. It makes it a really unique place and a romantic date spot! Service here each time has been good considering the busy crowd of the weekends. Waiters are nice and food comes out somewhat fast. I would say I don't recommend the salmon don (pictured below) but their rolls are really good! You can't really go wrong :)
google avatar

Paula C.

Yelp
One of my favorite sushi spots. Large sashimi portions. The rolls are large and so fresh and pretty! Every one of them are delicious. Food came out fast and fresh. All the staff I talked to was so nice. It's also so pretty inside.
google avatar

Laura G.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite spots. As far as ambiance, this place has it down. The light up cherry blossom trees around the tables are so pretty. I always get tempura rolls, and they are BIG and very filling. The prices are great and service is good. The only complaint I have is that the rolls often fall apart when you pick them up.
google avatar

Jose S.

Yelp
Just walk in and sit where your heart desires. Food is great prices are great and service is great. I like the teriyaki chicken sushi 10/10. They have other things too but I gotta go so I'll be back to give you another opinion.
google avatar

Yelp
4.75 love the sushi! Their sushi towers are so satisfying! It's delicious! It is my comfort food.
google avatar

Yelp
Ordered from here while at work.. we got chicken yaki udon and dynamite crunch and dynamite rolls Both tasted amazing!! Can't wait to dine in here! The rolls were slightly bigger in size but the udon was on point!
google avatar

Marissa C.

Yelp
The place is not only adorable but the food was delicious! I've had a top favorite sushi place for the past 4 years and this is the only place that has been able to top it! The portions were large and we only ate about half of our meals. 10/10
google avatar

Kalynne M.

Yelp
A friend of mine in Carrollton insisted we visit here for lunch, and so glad we did! It's a cute place with a decorative (fake) cherry blossom tree in the middle. The staff is friendly, service is quick. The lunch menu is awesome, the portions are very large (the rolls are big enough that it takes two bites) and tasty. I ordered two not realizing how big they were. Nothing but great things to say!
google avatar

Kenya R.

Yelp
Met up with some friends for lunch. The place is cute but small. The staff is really nice! The manager/owner, not really sure which he was saw me fanning myself and asked if I was hot. A few minutes later the air conditioner came on. That was the sweetest, but I hot because of the combination of sake, a wig, and peri menopause LOL. Anyway, it was sweet. The rolls are gigantic. They have lots of options. I got the negehana roll which had no flavor. I also had the hamachi nigiri which was ok, but I'm spoiled from Uchiba, and nothing ever compares. I also got the pork gyoza which were good and looked hand made. My friends all got some combination of rolls and they were all good.
google avatar

Cel S.

Yelp
It's really cute! It was also pretty busy, but service was still prompt. We got seated after around 10 minutes of waiting, and ordered the tuna salad, 4 piece sashimi, uni sushi, toro sushi, and the tempura appetizer(?). Everything was good! I think the only thing that was kind of whatever was the sashimi, it was alright. The tuna sashimi was a bit cold and chewier in the middle, so it tasted a bit older. Other than that, it was fine. You get what you pay for, and I feel like it's a good bang for your buck. If I were ever in the area, I'd stop by again!

Yelp
This place has seen a lot of visitors and reviews, so this is just my own personal experience. I've visited multiple times, and it's typically busy whenever we show up - sometimes there's no wait, and sometimes there's a wait up to 45 minutes. It's a bit farther north of a lot of Carrollton shops/restaurants, so if you're stuck waiting around for a table, there's not much to do. Inside the restaurant is very well decorated. Love the cherry blossom trees they have inside; ambiance is great. They have bigger tables for larger groups, and smaller tables for more intimate dining. All the times I've come I've had great service, and the waiters/waitresses constantly check in on our table to ask if we need anything else. In terms of food - I think that's where Sushi Kadan shines, especially for the price. It's not the best sushi you'll ever had, but the rolls are massive and the prices are reasonable, so the value you get is fantastic. It's become a staple for me that if I'm craving sushi and I'm hungry, I'll go to Sushi Kadan. I've had their special rolls, baked rolls, simple nigiri; all of it is about the same quality but they're all a solid portion size. Maybe order less than you think - you'll probably be full. Overall, good place for decent sushi, great value, fine service.
google avatar

Kimberly Y.

Yelp
High quality sushi with big rolls. Everything here is so delicious that it's difficult to decide what to get. The cherry blossoms are a nice touch for the ambiance.
google avatar

Yelp
I recently moved from Carrollton, to Mesquite. Which is about a 40 minute drive. This has always been my go to sushi spot!! The best food, & the dining experience is even good too. I am sick and had one of my friends bring me lunch from here today, & after a 40 minute care ride, my soup is still HOT AND FRESH!!!! I am amazed. Hands down the best place.

Yelp
The restaurant is on the small side but has a wonderful atmosphere and even though it was packed, noise was never an issue for conversation at our table. The menu is massive so if you don't like sushi but someone in your family does don't hesitate to go. You won't go hungry as there are pages and pages of delicious offerings. This was my first time to try sushi and I must say it was delicious. Mind blowing delicious. I'll be honest and admit that I was more than a little nervous but it's something I've always wanted to try. The portions are absolutely huge. My son told me to expect smaller plates anywhere else I went for sushi. Go with an empty stomach and big appetite. My husband had the Monkey Brain, which is neither monkey nor brain but is delicious. It's a wonderful combination of spicy tuna and crab meat that is found on the appetizer list. He also got the Shrimp Tempura which were lightly battered and fried to perfection. It would be a great appetizer in my opinion. We had guests get an Ahi Tower and another the Salmon Tower. They were both massive plates of food, arriving in a beautiful presentation before the obligatory mixing. I tried them carefully since they are raw fish but was pleasantly surprised. I would truly order either one on my next visit. The flavors are terrific, well balanced and mild. It's good to step outside of your comfort zone and try new experiences. Two of us had the Crazy Boy Roll and the last guest had the Crazy Girl Roll. The crazy boy was great. It's deep fried so nothing is raw which is a sneaky way to try sushi but delicious nonetheless. I tried the crazy girl roll and liked it very much as well. Both are versions of the California roll which is something I'd try on a future trip. I did learn a very valuable lesson. I didn't manage to get a picture of my meal, the Crazy Boy Roll but it comes with a dollop of green stuff which I mistook for avocado. It is NOT avocado. It is wasabi and it couldn't be further in taste from avocado. It will make your eyes water and clear your sinuses. WOW!!! I can hear all of you sushi veterans laughing at me, just like everyone at the table did. Holy moly that stuff is spicy!! So beware of green stuff that looks like avocado!! But do go to Sushi Kadan very soon. The service was fantastic and the food is terrific. Even if you don't like sushi, take your sushi loving spouse or friends and rest easy in the knowledge that there are plenty of familiar things for you to eat if you don't venture into sushi. My recommendation is to take a risk and give it a try.
google avatar

Alex ..

Yelp
One of the most beautiful sushi places I've been to. This is an extremely cozy room with fake cherry blossoms (I believe) around the room creating a wonderful feeling. The staff is very friendly and they are always quick to deliver the rolls and refill drinks. The rolls are big! They used to be even bigger but it seems like they shrunk them down a tiny bit because they couldn't even close before due to their size. So now they fit together a little bit better but you will still get plenty of sushi for your buck! If you're in carrollton make sure to take a visit
google avatar

Alicia S.

Yelp
Sushi Kadan has been my go to for sushi in my area, however I have only experienced the take out or delivery experience. This past weekend my babe and I stopped in for some post hike sushi.Upon entering I felt as if I had stepped into a different world. The atmosphere was dark, chill, with unique decor on the ceiling. We were greeted and seated quickly and our server was quick and informative. Our sushi was delicious and tasted fresh. We ordered the 2x Crazy Girl Roll (extra spicy sauce and regular), Alaska Roll, Spider Roll, and Edamame. The presentation was very nice as well. My only complaint is that the tables are small, we could barely fit our plates comfortably. On the positive, the restaurant was very clean including the restrooms.

Jon B.

Yelp
Had a Valentines Day lunch with my daughter. We eat here a lot and it's usually good. Today was terrible. They had plenty of servers. Three came to our table to serve us. We ordered are usual rolls and Gyenzo. It was very bad. The Gyenzo had zero flavor and is usually good . The rolls were not tight and the rice just fell apart. Our plates were full of rice that we didn't eat. We had to ring for service multiple times and still the server left empty sushi plates cluttering the table and we wanted to order more but decided to leave instead.

Yelp
Highly recommended this place for sushi, I've been going to this place for nearly 2-3 years now. It never disappoints. Overall, the size of the portions and the price is fair. My go to roll is the Vancouver roll and the Salmon Tower. Sorry, I don't have any photos, you'll have to go check it out yourself. Enjoy!

Reynu S.

Yelp
The sushi here is soooo fresh and tasty You can't go wrong with most of the items here and I highly recommend trying different items each time since there's such a huge range. The suji roll wasn't quite my cup o' tea. The crab meat is like a crab meat salad (similar to chicken salad or tuna salad). The crab is very good but it's a bit sweet for us. And they heap A LOT in this little salmon wrap so it's impossible to eat it in 1-2 bites. But the salmon is so fresh that you can cut it with your chopsticks. The unagi/eel crunch roll is a no-brainer. The unagi, sauce and the crunch from the pile of tempura is a tasty variation on one of my favorite sushi's. The yakuza roll was an absolute killer - the yellowtail was so fresh and tasty and the combination of all the ingredients made it very balanced. It was also balanced vs the other rolls since it's light. The only thing I wasn't a huge fan of was that the rice at the bottom got soggy from the vinegar and fell apart, so was a little messy to eat.
google avatar

Jorena L.

Yelp
Best sushi rolls in DFW hands down! The size of each piece is so large that I have to take 2 bites. One roll will definitely fill you up. The fish is always fresh and the fillings are delicious! And the price is totally fair too. On top of that, the interior is aesthetically pleasing with the fake cherry blossom trees and woody decor. Service is fast and attentive. Anticipate a small wait because this place is always busy! But it's worth it :)
google avatar

Arianna L.

Yelp
Came here with a friend for lunch on a weekday. They weren't busy when we came in but became pretty packed by the time we left. I got the bento box was ~$13 which I felt was a fair price for the portion size. The ambiance felt festive with valentines and Christmas decorations. My friend got a donbori bowl for about $18. They took our order quickly and checked up on us but the food took a little while to come out. Would definitely come again during non peak hours!
google avatar

Saaniv A.

Yelp
Our rolls took a while to come and was busy when we came. Me and my family have been looking for good sushi spot to try, very nice background. Our server was nice, she had great smile and quick service. Overall sushi is decent and not that much fish on Alaska. Great place for night with family, I suggest putting reservations. I recommend not coming night since busy and long wait.

Yelp
Love this place so much. Have been going for years now. My favorite item is the Mango Paradise Roll. They even have no rice sushi options. Their sushi is so fresh and delicious. The restaurant itself has great lighting and decorations, it can get a bit crowded and loud depending on when you go. The service is usually good but sometimes they have newer employees that are still being trained. They offer such a large portion of food compared to other sushi places, very worth it! Great place for a whole meal and for celebrating special occasions.

Yelp
The sushi here is HUGE! I sometimes don't feel full after eating sushi when the rolls are too small, but that's definitely not an issue here. They are quick to complete to-go orders. The ambiance inside is very chill.

Yelp
Service and ambiance are great. Sushi falls apart before it even hits the table. I have been here a few times and it never fails. Use a spoon to eat here, not chopsticks.

Yelp
My number one daughter has been raving about this spot and boy was she not wrong. The restaurant was beautifully decorated with faux cherry blossom tree with lights. Our server Jimin was prompt and attentive. Our sushi was fresh and tasty. We had the Golden Mountain and Volcano rolls and both were amazing. The nigiri, a true test of a sushi restaurant , and they too were fantastic. The portions were generous with well seasoned rice - another sign of good sushi. I will be back.

Yelp
Hate to leave a bad review but this was pretty bad. The sushi rolls are comically large. You can't even kind of fit one in your mouth. We had to smash them up and each each slice in pieces and basically all you taste is massive globs of fake crab. Fish on top was not fresh at all and made us both nervous. I think it gets good reviews bc the clientele in the suburbs like the value. It's not overpriced and the rolls are huge. So if you want theme park food, you'll be happy. For quality sushi with good ingredients i would go somewhere else though. Service was also disappointing. We were rushed to order and once we did we almost never saw a server again until the end when someone we had never spoke to approached and said "the service was good, right?"

Yelp
Food was delicious and sushi pieces today were very big and filling. Service was quick and the interior restaurant is one of the nicest I've seen.

Yelp
This place used to be A1, not sure what's going on maybe it's inflation or change of management? The ambience is still 10/10 but the service and the food were lacking on this time for me. Alaska roll significantly decreased in size, they used to be known for their huge portion. Presentation of the Alaska roll was interesting, the bottom was soaked in ponzu sauce. Philadelphia roll was on point (very consistent). Soft shell crab was good too. It was the service for me that just wasn't right. No one introduced their names and ofc the pen wasn't working come time for the check. Should've been 3 stars but that beautiful Japanese cherry blossom in the center of the restaurant is just awesome.

Yelp
Delicious rolls and a huge menu. My favorite (as a non-sushi eater who was forced to go) was the Crazy Boy for sure. I had seen the white tree at the center of the restaurant for years before I decided to go, and I'm so glad I did!
