Where to Find the Best Sushi in Las Vegas | Eater Vegas

"While Las Vegas is home to several all-you-can-eat sushi restaurants, this Chinatown spot ranks among the favorites. There’s usually a line out the door — and for good reason. The menu boasts a litany of rolls but the nigiri is where Kaya really shines with bites that are substantial, tender, and delicately seasoned with a wash of vinegar. Dinner starts at just $32.95." - Janna Karel

Love this place so much. It’s my go to for sushi. It’s always so fresh and bomb. Love love love it. Service is excellent. Food is YUM. 10/10 recommend

We went with the all-you-can-eat dinner option during lunch since it was just a few bucks more and came with extra items not available on the lunch menu. When ordering, keep in mind that items with one check mark mean only one order per person, and two check marks mean only two orders per person. The service was friendly, but food does take a while to come out, so it’s best to order everything you want upfront. Most of the dishes were delicious, though we didn’t care much for the grilled skewers or baked mussels, which took over 35 minutes to arrive. Overall, a tasty experience with good service.

Google
The food came out great. I enjoyed the salmon nigiri and the seared tuna especially. For late specials, the price is $30 AYCE, there are restrictions. The rice was well put together and the sushi did not fall apart - especially for the lasagna. The only downside was the wait time. It did take a while for my orders to come out, considering there is a 90-minute dine-in limit. However, it was faster than most sushi places I have gone to. I have been to this place before and had a negative experience, but it has renewed itself since.

Google
The service was very good and the food was served quickly. The Thai fried noodles were sweet and sour and spicy and the satay chicken skewers were also very good!

One of my all-time fave sushi all you can eat places in town. Has many great Staples and some inventive options too. The staff is great and keeps up with the crowd on most days, though like everywhere if it's busy things slow down amidweek. As locals, we love coming midday and midwwek amd recommend it for the best service speed and pricing.

Location: Away from strip, Parking: Tight, Service: Pretty good , Can you do "all:you can eat" : ( Burp, yes...) , Overall: First time try and this was and out of the way place that was an error by the chooser. But lucky for us, it turned out to be a good chance of fate. Their was a wait as this is a small business, but the time did go fast, and we did have much to catch up on. Once we started ordering, the food just kept coming, and we finished every plate put in front of us. I would enjoy this restaurant every time I land in Las Vegas. 4 Stars...

Yelp
10/10 anytime me and my bf come here. :) especially the mussels! i know what it's like dealing with rude customers so shout out for i believe donald was his name, for holding his composure with the 3 rude ladies that were dining in! sometimes i wish people could clock in as a server / bartender and deal with what we have to deal with. just because someone works in the industry doesn't mean you have the right to treat someone like trash. to those ladies who said they were writing a bad review everywhere when they didn't get a discount on their bill. not everything is about race. you should be cautious of how you act and what you say; how you treat people! especially when your toddler is there watching the whole thing.

Yelp
0- Star Review Absolutely Horrible Experience - Will Never Return I don't leave reviews often, but our visit to Sushi Kaya was so upsetting that I feel the need to share. The moment we walked in, the restaurant looked foggy and poorly ventilated. It immediately felt uncomfortable and dirty -- not at all what you'd expect from a place where you're about to eat. But the worst part? There was a roach crawling on our table. It was absolutely disgusting and unacceptable. We were shocked and completely lost our appetite. There's no excuse for that kind of health violation in any restaurant. Our server was apologetic and tried to be kind, which we appreciated, but management only gave us a small "discount," and our bill was still over $60 before tip. At that point, we just wanted to leave and never look back. A discount doesn't erase the fact that we were served in such unsanitary conditions. I'm honestly disgusted and extremely disappointed. We will never return to Sushi Kaya, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. If this is how they manage their dining area, I can only imagine what's happening behind the scenes in the kitchen.

Yelp
I would recommend Sushi Kaya to anyone looking to try a new sushi spot! I was more for cussed on the company I was with than trying to get a solid review out of the experience, but I can still say that the food was amazing! We tried a plenty of rolls and lotsss of nigiri, as well as the calamari and shrimp tempura. All of the nigiri were yummy (eel, tuna, salmon, octopus, yellowtail)! I choked on the octopus tho.. soo be careful lol. We tried the jackpot, mango, and tempura rolls, alongside some others which names i forgot, but they were all YUMMY (and I typically don't eat many rolls when I get sushi). The service was great. We had a english & spanish-speaking waitress, which was awesome (since we were mainly speaking spanish at our table). The dining room was very clean and the music selection was nice as well. Check it out!

Yelp
I went to Sushi Kaya on a Friday night and was pleasantly surprised that there was no wait to be seated, which is always a win in Vegas! The sushi itself wasn't the absolute best or the freshest I've had in town, but the experience was definitely elevated by the great service. the welcoming atmosphere and service definitely made up for it. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. Thank you to the Colombian gentleman that attended us

Yelp
Great sushi Great staff. Though I felt like I had to rush and order lol. And it wasn't a busy day.

Yelp
It was late night and we wanted AAyCE Korean BBQ at KG right above this place but KG was closed. We decided to stop by here since the food was not bad we were here a few years ago . The food was ok. The sushi was ok. The appetizers was just ok. The service was good.

Martha R.

Yelp
BEST SUSHI in Vegas! The rice and fish are always so nice and fresh. I can't even pick a favorite. The place itself is very nice. The service is great, they go above and beyond to keep their clients happy. 10/10 recommend!

Yelp
We had placed our name on the waitlist for a different nearby restaurant and everyone decided not to wait 45min, so we were walking to the car and saw this place. Wasn't that many people dining (which is a telltale sign) but we were hungry and got a table. The waiter was friendly and helpful but that was one of the few high points. Did AYCE, price was typical. Fish slices were thin. Some pieces somewhat dryer than normal. Unagi was good, as was a fried scallop sushi, soft shelled crab, and baked mussels. The orders came in a reasonable time but too many limits on the better dishes made ordering unpleasant. Overall rating given would be 3.5 from our party.

Yelp
Just amazing! Wonderful service! Super helpful! Cleanliness 10/10 Food 10/10 So Fresh! No skimping on sauce or toppings on the sushi! Beautiful atmosphere so cozy but sleek! Thank you Kaya Sushi will definitely be coming back!

Yelp
We came here as a group of 4 and we did the all you can eat option. The restaurant is relatively spacious with booth style seating. The wait staff take your order with tablets at the tables which was pretty cool to see. When we first sat down, the rolls came out pretty fast, which was nice. We got a variety of rolls, including a mango one, a few spicy rolls, some nigiri, and some baked and fried ones. They were all okay, nothing too special. Some of the rolls that were supposed to be hot were lukewarm or cool which was disappointing. The fish was decent quality, but I've been to other sushi spots with higher quality fish, so I'm not sure it's the best spot for nigiri. We also put an order in at one point and it never came. We reminded our server multiple times and after multiple reminders, the items came. One of the items was the udon soup, which was no longer hot when we got it, which was a let down. I think that this place is a great deal for the all you can eat sushi, but the quality could be better, and the service had some shortcomings. But, the food was still decent and the staff were nice and attentive despite the slow service at times. Not sure if we will come back.

Yelp
I live sushi and I always like to try new places ! This, place though definitely coming back. I loved their appetizers. I had a tuna poke. They put a lot of onion thought. That was my only complaint, but I mean maybe just that day. I also didn't like their sweet potato skewer . I would definitely stay away from that . But other than that, their sushi, is good. Fish is fresh and tastes delicious! I just had half of the amigo roll and that was fireee. So, take advantage of their appetizers. They have sashimi pieces if you really look and it's so worth it.

Yelp
The food was mid the thing I hate is my service the server Vanessa didn't even check on us even always taking order on other tables. Also I expect better customer service will not go back again.

Yelp
Let's start by saying the Sushi kaya of old that we all loved 10-12 years ago is far gone. I've came back a couple times the last decade but today was by far the worst experience. Food that we never ordered kept being brought to our table with the expectation of us eating it. One of the servers kept on circling back and even stated "well you know we charge for left overs, right?" When the food we ACTUALLY ordered never even arrived at the table yet. My family and I didn't not appreciate that gesture especially since we were all still eating and waiting for our actual orders to arrive. Food quality was par and nothing special to bring us back here, especially with so many other options around the city. Do yourself and family a favor and look elsewhere for a better meal, experience, and the feeling of money well spent.

Yelp
Man this food was on point this evening. Absolutely delicious. Sometimes it's hit and miss. Service could have been better, maybe our waiter wasn't having a good day. Some of our order never showed up or we had to wait till the end when paying the bill. I've been here before . Definitely one of my most favorite sushi spots

Yelp
Food is terrible here thought would give it a second chance but amazing they still have terrible food. Saw cockroach on the walls really gross here.

Yelp
We always come for AYCE. The food is always good. The service is a bit slow. But the servers are always friendly and helpful.

Yelp
love love love their sushi. it's always so fresh. 10/10. best sushi I've had in Vegas. Customer service 10/10. recommend it to anyone looking for some YUM sushi

Yelp
Went yesterday with my family and we got there at 1130 when they opened being the 2nd to 3rd party there. Made our order and it took over 45mins for many of our food to get to our table. Even the miso soup... MISO SOUP. The manager asked us if everything is ok and I mentioned my concerns and he unapologetically said "it's coming" and that's it. In a town where sushi is everywhere he made it clear we probably should be going else where. The food itself if you've ever been here the last 10+ yrs has not changed so not much complaints there.

M A.

Yelp
Absolute worst and most disgusting sushi place in vegas. There was cockroaches crawling on the bench and windows. For a party of 2, they automatically add 15% gratuity without telling you. Never going back.
google avatar

Miranda L.

Yelp
Good sushi. But I think the texture and taste of the sushi rice can be better, softer, chewier and warm. But I understand it is a AYCE serving large quantities so harder to keep the rice warm and soft. Surprisingly delicious beef skewers. Beef tongue a bit on the tough and too chewy side. Fast service. Traditional Korean decor was interesting. Overall good experience.

Yelp
Great AYCE in Las Vegas. Providing a trendy, clean and comfortable Japanese environment. Upon entering, you will notice there are many tables and bar seating in front of the sushi maker's. Large sushi selections and they serve made to order dishes. Free Ample Parking is within the shopping center right on Spring Mountain Road. Should it get full, you can always park anywhere and walk over. Vegas's Chinatown is not your typical neighborhood like other Chinatown's around the US. It's a little more developed so take advantage of this town. AYCE is limited to 90 minutes, but me and my party of 4 friends were famished after leaving the Mr. Olympia Expo sampling so much pre workout without hitting the gym, lol. We were in and out within an hour! I honestly liked this sushi spot and would like to return another time. Lunch is $26.95 while dinner was $30.95. Great customer service provided by Loy, sorry if not spelled correctly. Also great music of all the K-pop songs and Top 40 hits!!!

Yelp
First time here and the food was great! The ambience is really nice and the service was good as well. The food kept coming as we ordered, however I guess they got busy at some point because at the end when we were trying to place our last order, we had to wait for the rest of our food.

noe m.

Yelp
Place seem a bit dirty from the start. As we were eating we found a roach on our table. Alerted staff and although they were apologetic. Nothing makes up for this. They tried to give us a discount but that is not enough. I was expecting my bill to be covered. I paid what they told me have a tip and left. Never going back. And I wouldn't recommend it either

Gerardo F.

Yelp
Good service and good food! The only complaint I have is that drinks are not included in the ayce but other than that very good.
google avatar

Yelp
We had 27 in our party. They tried to stick us in the room to the left after the entrance. We did not all fit. Three in our party had to sit in the main dining room away from everyone else. I did not care for their miso soup. Lacked flavor, needed more miso flavor and could have used a smidge more salt. Garlic Edamame has a spicy kick to it. After a few of them, they start tasting rather salty. It was ok. Just don't try to eat them all at once. Eating them intermittently between sushi pieces was better. I love takoyaki. Got excited when I saw it on the menu. Unfortunately, they were very underdone on the inside. See pic. It was really doughy and mushy inside. And barely any discerable tako pieces. The sushis I tried were good. I had the black dragon, tempura shrimp roll, and dynamite roll. I tried some others too that other people ordered, but idk what they were called. Most were decent. The tempura shrimp and soft shelled crab were good. Perfectly fried. My fave items I tried. Service was mostly good. They did look a bit frazzled when we all couldn't fit in the room. Granted, we had quite a large party with us. But they didn't judge well on how many could actually fit in that room. We had a mix of adults and kids If I return, it will not be with a large party, and I will not order the things I didn't like. Had I stuck with just the items I liked, the experience would have been better.

Yelp
Food was plentiful, selective, and very tasty. The Service was helpful and informative.Ambiance of the Restaurant has a light and friendly atmosphere. The price for eight people was reasonable and surprisingly they presented a punch out card that I haven't seen for awhile. The place is worth visiting with family&family for a dining experience.

Yelp
Good sushi at very reasonable price for all you can eat selection is awesome highly recommended...will definitely come back

Yelp
Sushi Kaya is, for me, a two-star experience at the most. I went with a group of four other people around 12:30 PM. Service was a bit slow even though there were only 3-4 other tables at the time (it did pick up and it was full house by the time my party left around 2 PM). We had to flag down our server to take our initial order. There were some components wrong. Instead of receiving two orders of the Inari nigiri, we received 2 orders of the Hamachi nigiri. A lot of the rolls we ordered tasted off, like the Jackpot Roll for example. Soft-shell crab appetizer, usually my favorite appetizer anywhere, was doused in sauce and came out a bit soggy, like it has been sitting around in the back for a half-hour before it was delivered to our table. Our server checked on us maybe twice at the most. We had to make direct eye contact with her as she walked past to get her attention.

Yelp
I hate to say it - my mom and I were originally headed to Ichiza but wanted to give this place a try. Biggest regret ever. I wish that my mom listened to me; she even agreed that afterwards we should have just gone to Ichiza. For one, it's hard to find actually good AYCE sushi places here in Las Vegas. However, Sushi Kaya is by far the worst one so far. All of the fish was thick, chewy, and frozen. After the first bite, it was hard to finish even the sashimi. Even the "premium items" were drowned in sauce, and the rolls were actually nauseating. The rice was sticky in a bad way, and the (1) sushi roll we stomached had no flavor. We ordered scallop hand rolls - which are raw everywhere else in town - and they came cooked and dowsed in mayonnaise. What also sucks about this place is that I'm fairly certain every other AYCE place can make hand rolls out of whatever basic rolls they have - apparently you can't do that here. We ended up ordering as little as possible and left. The only good thing this place had was agedashi tofu, and the free dessert is better than the Neko / Shota chains. Everything else is miles worse. This isn't to blame, but our server was new on the job and probably needed more training. She'd come and try to help clear plates or pick up litter and just made things really awkward. My chopstick sleeve was under my phone case and she spent 1 whole minute awkwardly wriggling it from under my phone and I was just trying not to make her feel more awkward. It also took her like 5 minutes to get her menu situated and I had to repeat every order we asked for 3 times. Anyways, never coming back. I actually haven't had worse AYCE sushi than this place. Next time, just go to Ichiza. I'm probably going to go back there just to cleanse my brain from my Kaya experience.

Yelp
We had a friend come into town and wanted to show them a good time. While our last time coming here wasn't perfect, we decided to come back and give it another try. Our server was really nice and courteous and we were able to begin ordering. The food came out quick and tasted good. A few rolls in we noticed something was wrong, there was a bug in the food. Now normally this would have been an easy fix, but then things escalated. When we presented the food with the problem, they took the plate and tried to tell us they wanted us to pay for half. Personally I thought this was terrible service, we asked to speak with the manager but were informed that they had called the manager. After we they heard us talking about posting on yelp, they came back and comped the meal. All in all, over the last year the service and quality of the food has gone down and I don't think I'll be going back

Tony R.

Yelp
All you can eat sushi but greeted in Korean first red flag. The menus are not updated asked waiter for their signature roll and said one that is not on the menu I had, they gave me the old Menu because they ran out of New Menus, gave me 1 menu for 5 people. Came in with my family ordered about 9 rolls between all of us we shared. Not a single one of them was good. Like DAMN!! a freshly made sushi is DRY. They automatically add 15% gratuity, funny cause there 4 servers around but none of them are paying attention to the tables you have to call for their attention. Only went there because Neko Sushi had 1.5hrs wait time. Worst sushi ever, I am not exaggerating nobody liked it. Will never go again.
google avatar

Valerie V.

Yelp
AYCE for the win here, after another long day sightseeing off strip. Price was fair & portions were perfect, just a bite or two, which gave us more space to explore most of the menu. I will say the spicy tuna was my least favorite. The chicken katsu was delicious along with the fried soft shell crab & the skewers. Service was pretty good, and we were able to order multiple items each time. I think between the two of us we ordered 8 different plates the first time & they came out as they were ready.

Juan L.

Yelp
It's crazy to see the hate in comments. 1 time fumble out of multiple outings. Or an outsider not even from Vegas trying advertise another sushi joint. Let me tell you how it really is. This place brings out that authentic Umami taste of Japanese cuisine that most other restaurants fail to live up to. Sure from the outside it may seem like a hole in the wall. With it's location literally being in a corner at near the staircase. But once inside the atmosphere is clean and the staff is friendly and inviting, all the staff greets you every time you enter and they say farewell when you leave. The best part of all is that they listen to their customer's requests. I am particular about eating imitation crab meat. (I don't like it) so when I request substitutes they are quick to accommodate without question, fully living up the "Customer is always right" standards (in a good way). I been here multiple times and the Mango Style roll with a shrimp tempura substitution for the crab inside is my favorite thing to eat here. It never misses when I bring others to try the spot. But my personal favorite is the Ultimate Albacore (A little spicy). If you are hungry and it's late-night on a weekend they even have special price for those who just got off work or have been out on a date and are hungry. If you try it and don't like it feel free to call me a liar. Or maybe it was better 10 years ago and I just never got to try a better version of sushi Kaya but if this is a bad version of it then even the watered down version is pretty dam good to me.

Vanessa R.

Yelp
Horrible service, they take forever to sit you down and once your finally sitting takes even longer to get your food. They also started charging gratuity for 4 people even though 2 of them were children and didn't even order AYCE. Not coming here again
google avatar

Joy J.

Yelp
Great place for sushi if you want to eat off the strip. They have AYCE for a great price. They one thing I also like is that you can order half rolls. If you are someone like me that wants to try everything, but can't fot everything in, the this is a great option. I wish more places did this.
google avatar

Carla C.

Yelp
I have been coming here for years and the service is always great. The sushi options are delicious and there's lots to choose from if you have people in your group who don't like raw sushi the Brooklyn bridge and Caterpillar are my go to options for my picky eater friends. If you do AYCE they include most things on the menu! Keep in mind some items are limited to one per person like the shrimp skewers etc. I always suggest to go with four or more people and everyone order something different and all share with eachother so you can try a variety! Please keep in mind to not over order because you will be charged! Also, if you decide to come often, they do a stamp card!
google avatar

Deanna T.

Yelp
Food variety was solid. A lot of choices, good music. Our waiter Andy was the absolute best. The world needs servers like that. I'd come back.
google avatar

Yelp
Great quality AYCE Sushi and stellar service at an UNBEATABLE PRICE! Go before 4pm for the lunch price of $24 but even at dinner price of $28 this place is worth it! We made a reservation an hour before and were seated in 10 min. The host had us in a back room but never forgot us and from seat to first round of food was 5 minutes! The sushi was very good with plenty of rolls, nigiri with large fish and low rice, nice appetizers and a desert per person. We order 3-4 rounds inside an hour, every order came out, and we were always told what we got and asked if we wanted more. We still had 30 min left by the time we were full and everyone even our vegetarian was satisfied! 10/10 For great sushi at a great price.
google avatar

Jenn S.

Yelp
This has been my go to AYCE sushi spot for years, it's consistently really good. I like the selection of options on the AYCE menu. It's usually pretty busy and bustling, but I've rarely had to wait more than 15 to 20 minutes. The staff are nice and it's a cute spot. Not the best sushi I've ever had, but it's good and the price is right.
google avatar

Trilina M.

Yelp
Cam here for dinner with friends. Food is ordered via iPad directly from servers. I'm used to writing on a piece of paper, so this was different. Overall, fish was alright. I highly suggest taking advantage of the limited items like ebi or skewers. My critique is that the food would sometimes get lost in transit, so sometimes you get items late or they just don't appear. My second critique is the inconsistencies of the sushi. We would reorder the same dish, and it would come back looking different. Taste is the same, thankfully, but a visual consistency would make this place c9me across better.
google avatar

Ann K.

Yelp
The food is incredible! All you can eat is more than worth it. Sushi, ramen, curry, katsu, you name it. Service is fast and can easily accommodate substitutions. Ambiance is calm, quiet, and relaxing. 10/10 recommend!

Yelp
We were in town visiting for the LIV tournament and wanted sushi on a Friday night. We saw this was open late and is all-u-can eat. The atmosphere was wonderful; a dim-lit, earthy vibe. The customer service was great all around. We purchased the all you can eat rolls (full or half) and appetizers which includes a dessert as well. We arrived at 9:30p. Waited less than 5 minutes to get seated for a booth. It looked and smell clean (not like chemicals or dirty dish towels). The hostess was lovely. A roll was $14.95 and all you can eat was like $32 per person. So we opted for the latter. Having eaten at other all you can eat sushi places, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the sushi! My husband also order fried calamari which he said was one of the best he's had. We will come back here again.
google avatar

Trish K.

Yelp
This place is so good we went twice during our visit to Las Vegas. The service is so quick! One end of our table got their rolls before the rest of the table was finished ordering. Everything we tried we liked. For $30, it's hard to find a better deal. Oh also there is plenty of parking on all four sides of the building, so don't stress.

Priscilla v.

Yelp
this is the best sushi ever and there food is unbelievable and there service is so fast if i had a chance to come back here i would love to come back.

Yelp
When I visit Las Vegas we almost always go to Yama Sushi but since it's always crazy packed we decided to venture off the to an oldie but goody. The AYCE sushi is always a killer deal especially with the expensive sashimi included. Between my 3 kids, my mom and I we ordered at least a dozen specialty rolls, garlic edamame, a poke bowl, a dynamite appetizer, several different variations of sashimi, mochi ice cream and not to mention drinks and a few glasses of wine. All that for 5 people and still under $180 with gratuity included. How can you really beat that? To top it all off, the servers are all very thorough and super friendly. Love this place

Yelp
My coworker was craving sushi, so we came in to sushi kaya for lunch. It was both our first times here, and we had a good experience. The parking lot is pretty small, and we had a little trouble finding parking. Even though it was lunchtime it was not that busy which was good for us. [Service] Upon entering, we were greeted and seated immediately. Our server was extremely kind, and she gave us a breakdown of the menu and what was popular. She checked on us frequently to refill our drinks, make sure we were doing okay, and if we wanted to order more. Good service! [Food] We ordered the salmon skin salad, shrimp tempura, soft shell carb, baked green mussel, yellow tail nigiri, sea urchin nigiri, sex on the beach roll, xxx2 roll, xxx3 roll, and the monkey brain deep-fried roll. Everything we had was great! All the sashimi we had tasted nice and fresh. We definitely ate our fill for around ~$23 each. My favorite was definitely the monkey brain and urchin nigiri. The meal also came with desert and you could choose two different items which included ice cream, mini cheesecake, and mochi ice cream. I chose the mango mochi ice cream and the green tea cheese cake and wow was the cheesecake delicious! It was my first time trying green tea cheesecake, and I was surprised how good it was. 4/5 stars from me!

Yelp
General rule of thumb. Come here for the fried and cooked food as they taste fresher than the sushi. Both shrimp tempura and calamari was crispy and tender inside. That freshness added nice crisp to the rolls they came in. Sushi was about average although the eel sauce was too tangy and overpowering the entire roll. Wonder what they are intending to hide with this sour intensity? Hamachi tasted like albacore and was clear it wasn't too fresh with smell and taste non apparent. Baked middle and dynamite was fairly good with all that mayo and cheese. Who can mess that up lol. Beef tongue was bland and hard to chew and same goes for the beef. Green tea at a charge of $3.50 was weak and barely green. Green tea ice cream was actually bubble gum ice cream with hint of green tea. Didn't get food poisoning or diarrhea so that's +1 star. Food was edible though bland on some too tangy on others.

Yelp
First off service was excellent but quality of food not what I have experienced in other sushi restaurants in town. The poke was not very flavorful and had irregular cuts of tuna. The nigiri rice not packed well. The Cajun tuna seamed like it was minced and texture not right. The fancy rolls looked better but not my favorite. My fried had the Katsu chicken curry was done very well but chicken teriyaki looked very unappetizing and overcooked. Probably would not return again. Too bad as like I said waitstaff was friendly.
