My coworker was craving sushi, so we came in to sushi kaya for lunch. It was both our first times here, and we had a good experience. The parking lot is pretty small, and we had a little trouble finding parking. Even though it was lunchtime it was not that busy which was good for us.
[Service] Upon entering, we were greeted and seated immediately. Our server was extremely kind, and she gave us a breakdown of the menu and what was popular. She checked on us frequently to refill our drinks, make sure we were doing okay, and if we wanted to order more. Good service!
[Food] We ordered the salmon skin salad, shrimp tempura, soft shell carb, baked green mussel, yellow tail nigiri, sea urchin nigiri, sex on the beach roll, xxx2 roll, xxx3 roll, and the monkey brain deep-fried roll. Everything we had was great! All the sashimi we had tasted nice and fresh. We definitely ate our fill for around ~$23 each. My favorite was definitely the monkey brain and urchin nigiri. The meal also came with desert and you could choose two different items which included ice cream, mini cheesecake, and mochi ice cream. I chose the mango mochi ice cream and the green tea cheese cake and wow was the cheesecake delicious! It was my first time trying green tea cheesecake, and I was surprised how good it was.
4/5 stars from me!
