Excellent food. This place has become my favorite restaurant for sushi. It’s perfect for a date, a family outing, or hanging out with friends. The atmosphere is great, and everything you order is guaranteed to be delicious. And don’t leave without trying the "ponquesito" for dessert — it’s absolutely amazing!

Everything was exceptional. Good was tasty, presentation was beautiful and the atmosphere was visually appealing. Would highly recommend and will surely be back!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sushi KONG, and it was an outstanding experience that truly deserves a glowing 5-star rating. From the moment I arrived, the exceptional service set the tone for a delightful meal. The staff was attentive, friendly, and ensured that every detail was perfect. I ordered a variety of sushi rolls that were not only beautifully presented but also bursting with fresh, vibrant flavors. Each bite was a testament to the quality and craftsmanship of the chefs. To top off our meal, I indulged in a cheesecake dessert that was the perfect sweet ending—rich, creamy, and absolutely delicious I also got the privilege to taste a pistachio dessert that will be launching soon, it was definitely one of the best desserts I’ve ever tried. The combination of excellent service, delectable dishes, and a welcoming atmosphere makes Sushi KONG a standout sushi restaurant. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-notch sushi dining experience.

Google
Kudos to the chef. We came to grab a bite after a beach day and we were greatly surprised. Food is amazing and service was outstanding. Carlos gave us wonderful recommendations from the patacones and chupe all the way to the fried cheese cake. Special recognition to the sushi rolls! 100% recommended

Google
Food was delicious. We got the Santory, mango tango and Florida crunch rolls and they were so delicious. And besitos especiales. Highly recommend the choco-Dubai. Our server was also really attentive and helpful.

From the moment I walked in I knew I was in the right place! This amazing restaurant makes up for the bad sushi experience I had yesterday. So happy I found Sushi Kong! Beautiful atmosphere, attentive staff, delicious food! I can't recommend it enough!

Google
I believe this brand has great potential that has yet to be fully tapped into. Its concept is interesting and stands out in the market, but there are clear opportunities to enhance the overall experience, strengthen its identity, and connect more effectively with its audience. With a more focused strategy on quality, consistency, and communication, I’m confident it could become a standout reference in its category.

Yelp
Discover this phenomenal sushi restaurant located in Coral Way in Coral Gables, the decoration is so vibrant displaying a unique decor in every corner. The wall art and the figurines in the wall are fantastic too. The chairs are all different and the ambiance is very welcoming as well as the lighting, the venue has a lot of space and also offers outdoors seating. I loved the menu because it features photos, description and an interactive menu presented in a tablet with many choices including Latin/fusion dishes, signature rolls, sushi for big groups hot/cold teas, desserts and much more... I ordered the Marlenita and Santori signature rolls and they didn't disappoint. The pieces had a generous amounts of salmon, avocado and it was were perfectly prepared and crafted. I really loved each piece and the presentation was on point. I appreciate Esteban exceptional customer service. He was hospitable, attentive, and very professional. I will definitely return to try the signature bowls and eat more edamame!! Ps. The ice cream was soft, the Nutella made every bite delightful

Yelp
We have been to Sushi Kong multiple times before 2020, and raved about it to friends as one of the best sushi places in Miami. Unfortunately, that is NO LONGER THE CASE. We went there tonight for dinner as we were in the area, and were looking forward to having some great sushi. My how things have changed! We went at 7:30 pm on a Friday and were shocked the restaurant was empty - only two tables with customers. The staff was friendly, but upon seating we noticed they handed us an iPad to view the menu (okay, odd - but we thought they must have never updated things from the pandemic). Then we ordered water and the waiter came with a bottle of Dasani water for both me and my date (no notice that we would be charged for this 16oz bottle). After ordering, we noticed the staff was distant and busy with the constant Uber pick-ups. *Note: there was a bunch of small flies that were hovering over the tables, including ours. We ordered the Bacon Boom (Dates & Chorizo) appetizer, and when the plate arrived and my BF took a bite it was FROZEN at the center. It appeared that it was microwaved and obvs never thrown in the fryer to cook properly. We immediately let the nearby waitress know, who apologized and offered another appetizer - we declined. At this point we were tempted to leave but wanted to give the place another chance. Regarding the Condiments: Eel sauce, ginger, etc. are presented in the takeout plastic cups with covers. *Classy* The wasabi was literally a 1/2 teaspoon. Sushi: When our sushi came to the table - we noticed our Hello Sushi Roll (one of the rolls with melted cheese) - we remembered the waiters in the past would melt the cheese at the table, now the cheese was already melted - and basically room temperature. Our 2nd roll, the Crunch - was warm, so it seems like our plates were just seating at the window. We honestly didn't finish our rolls. Between the flies, the rolls being mediocre, and our experience with the appetizer - we were turned off by the food. When we were done, the waitress came over to apologize, but also explain why the appetizer was frozen at the center, which sounded like she was making excuses. She then handed us the bill telling us that 18% gratuity was already included (!!) and had the nerve to say "you can leave additional tip" This use to be an awesome place to go and seat to have sushi, but it has gone downhill. From the looks of the amount of to-go orders the staff was preparing - this has become a takeout place. There doesn't seem to be any care for seating customers or the quality of food being served. End of story: Two sushi rolls + bottle of Dasani water + tip = $60 hard-earned money down the drain. My recommendation: Don't waste your time. Go somewhere else!

Yelp
I have been meaning to try this place for quite a while. Finally came today and was not disappointed. The food was great. Not too busy so service was super fast. They are attentive and will walk you through their menu. There are traditional options but they offer a lot unique dishes here that you won't find anywhere else. Good food, service, and I really dig the ambiance. Good lighting and quiet. Check it out. I'll definitely be back

Yelp
Overhyped. Sushi was ok nothing special. Could use more flavor. Menu seemed limited because most of the rolls were all to similar. Was expecting more based off reviews.

Yelp
Pet Friendly Gem ! I've had the pleasure of dining at Sushi Kong multiple times, and each visit has been consistently delightful. Despite its distance from my house, the fresh sushi keeps drawing me back. The diverse menu offers a fantastic range, from tartare to perfectly executed tempura sushi , to fried rice. The outside dining area provides a pleasant atmosphere, and the fact that they have a dog menu for our furry friends is a delightful touch. The appetizers are all great , and ending the meal with the Cheesecake dessert is an absolute treat. The attentive and friendly service enhances the overall experience, with staff consistently checking in to ensure everything is to our satisfaction. They were very kind to offer us complimentary coffee, which was a nice surprise. I look forward to many more enjoyable visits. It truly deserves a solid 5-star rating.

Yelp
came out here after seeing that they do fluffy Japanese pancakes and its been a struggle to find a place that does in south florida. Found 1 other spot in boca but after reading reviews seemed this would b may more legit. When we got here so many other good thing on the menu so we decided to order a bunch of stuff and share. Got the sushi pizza, bacon bond, pancakes, fresh juice, Romeo and juliet roll, and nuggets and fries for the kids. Everything was amazing.. the the pancakes did not disappoint! highly reccomended!

Yelp
Great place to go in but got take out. Is this seriously how much wasabi comes with the order and a $2 mayo
google avatar

Joaquin P.

Yelp

Yelp
It's a Saturday night, had a long day, and my partner and I are very hungry driving back home on coral way and we see Sushi KONG! It was busy, yet we got seated and waited on right away! AMAZING We ordered a miso soup and four different rolls - Akita, Mexico lindo, a veggie and I forgot the fourth. They were all absolutely delicious and the soup was fantastic. I think it's one of the best miso soups I've ever had. It had a delicious piece of I think shiitake mushroom that was scrumptious. To avoid getting in detail about all the rules. I'm going to tell you a little bit about my favorite one, the Akita Linda. It's a different roll all around, instead of rice it has plantain and it's topped with melted cheese. If your looking for a fun and different roll, give this one a try! Great service and great food!

Yelp
Sushi Kong truly one of the best sushi places that I've tried to date. This place is special the Sushi itself was good I can't even explain it's truly one of those places that you have to try. Because it's Miami weather we elected to sit outside and enjoy the outside scenery and a little good Sushi. The spicy edamame was really good it was a good appetizer to start out with then came out the sushi I wish I could remember all the different types of sushi we ordered but as you can see from the pictures it was all good. This is one of those places when I go back to Miami I will definitely be visiting again. Next time I want to go try the inside it looked like a really cool place inside.

Yelp
A Sushi Lover's Paradise! I had an incredible experience at Sushi Kong! The three rolls we tried - Miami Lover, Mango Tango, and Romeo & Juliet - were simply divine. The fish and tuna tasted incredibly fresh, enhancing the overall flavors of the rolls. But the real standout was the Mango Tango! Its delightful combination of flavors made it an absolute winner. On the other hand, the Miami Lover impressed us with its crispiest sushi ever, leaving us craving for more. And let's talk about their sushi roll size - they were King Kong sized, which made each bite an enjoyable experience & our belly's full. To compliment the amazing sushi, we decided to try the Caipirinha drink with a twist of sake because they don't have a liquor license, but their sake substitute worked wonders, adding a unique touch to the drink, and having us feeling a little wavy off just one. All in all, our dining experience at Sushi Kong was delightful and delicious. The ambiance was cute, def a vibe, and our service was so accommodating considering we arrived one hour before they closed. I highly recommend trying their fresh and mouthwatering sushi rolls. Can't wait to go back for more!

Yelp
Hands down Sushi Kong is in the Top 10 of best sushi restaurants in the US. Explosion of flavors. The quality of food, fresh ingredients and creative menu are unbelievable. The service is A1. Will come back again and again. Keep up the good work!!

Yelp
Found this in my drafts. Me & the girls went out for sushi back when I was a pescatarian & they had a variety of rolls to choose from. It's a lowkey spot, but it was so bomb & the dessert was to die for!

Yelp
I would have given this place 5 stars if I was reviewing this 3 years ago. It's true that people are more likely to review when they are not satisfied. If you're banking to go to this place because of the reviews, just take them with a grain of salt. I have came to this establishment many many times. I have even celebrated two birthdays here. I celebrated my most recent birthday here. As of lately on my bday visit, the quality was poor. The sushi was bland. The only good items were the sushi pizza and the temaki duo. Even so, the temaki was poorly rolled. Sushi rolls seemed to break apart. The cheese that was on the sushi was hard. The atmosphere has definitely deteriorated in recent years. This place used to be upbeat, with a DJ, and a cool atmosphere. Now it's boring, bland, and there are always crying children/toddlers. Fried rice is really good from what I remember 3 years ago. Cheesecrack is a staple and will always be the best dessert. Service is okay. The gentleman who seems to be the general manager (since I have seen him there for years) took our order and straight up tried to tell me what to eat. I understand you wanna make a recommendation but save it for someone who asks. Annoyed me and made me choose something else. Eventually I ordered what I originally wanted. This is slowly going to become a takeout spot if their service and staff remains the same. Needs to go back to its roots. Have the servers pour the cheese. It used to be an experience to come to sushi kong. Now it just sucks. Such a shame to see a great restaurant fall down in quality. The only positive change is the 2 person booths you guys have. Nice addition. Chairs are uncomfortable. Parking is free, but tipping the old man is encouraged I guess.

Yelp
I ordered here the Romeo and Juliet roll. What a huge disappointment. My dads a commercial licensed fishermen and it was clear the fish had gone bad. Unfortunately I noticed this after I had ate a few rolls.

Yelp
Have been there several times. Great sushi. I like food and service. Personal is responsive and polite. Sweets are also very tasty. Alex

Yelp
A cool concept of Japanese and Latin fusion but the delivery is a slight miss. We were excited to try this place out after the pretty decent reviews Unfortunately we were not impressed and down right disappointed. The indoor seating had a cool vibe from the wall art and music videos on tv. We were sat in a cubicle which felt a bit closed off and tight. If you're claustrophobic it's not the best seating area for you. We eventually moved tables. Upon ordering we asked for tap water but was given bottled water which assuming we would have to pay for and we specifically did not ask for bottled water. However it was a honest mistake and it was returned. Taking barrels of trash out through the dining area and during operation hours while guests are eating isn't the best practice. As for the food experience, the power miso soup was average yet pricey for soup for $9. We ordered Yakimeshi (fry rice) with Chicken that wasn't anything to rave about but was good. The Romeo & Juliet Roll was probably the only bright spot which was really good. I felt this location was more of a quick lunch spot. If you're looking for a quality Japanese food and sushi experience, there are plenty other options. This place holds potential but has some way to go.

Geret V.

Yelp
From Miami with Love. That's their call sign. It's true. Eat the tacos. Order more. Just a fun epic spot.

Yelp
The best fusion sushi in Miami ! The appetizers were great and delicious, the sushi was amazing! 100 # recommended. Thanks for the excellent service!
google avatar

Yelp
I had seen this spot throughout multiple Insta influencers posts and was drawn in by how great everything looked. Which, I will say, the presentations were great. The menu was great and the combination of ingredients were super enticing. However, unfortunately the rolls we had lacked in flavor. I feel like the different rolls have a lot of potential but just didn't meet expectations. Also, they're still in "covid mode" and serve the drinks and sauces in plastic disposable cups which was kindve off putting. The vibe is super upbeat and friendly and the servers were nice even though they seemed hectic and possibly understaffed. I think it's a good spot to try once.

Antonia U.

Yelp
Best sushi I've had in Miami.. service is always 10/10 and the music is great. Love this place!
google avatar

Alessandro C.

Yelp
Without doubt, the BEST Sushi of Miami!! All appetizers are delicious starting from the PataKong! All the sushi's are excellent but my Favorite is the Blue Bird and the Havana 305! And there are no words for the dessert! The service is amazing, and the waitress are always available for you! The ambience is amazing! All the graffiti on the walls and the music is excellent! Outdoor sitting is available with a nice setup and also enjoying the beautiful trees of Coral Way! You will not regret!

Mike C.

Yelp
I had dinner a couple of nights ago at sushi Kong and as always it was very good, excellent service, very very good food, exquisite roles. Nice place with a very good atmosphere, pleasant in all aspects. Highly recommended this restaurant
google avatar

Mariel P.

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised with the sushi. The menu features many Latin inspired sushi options, which were all great. The prices have gone up from the menus that are posted here. The ambiance was alright, very dull but we went on a week night. No problems with parking as the parking structure is in the back.

Jose V.

Yelp
Maria and Javier were amazing with their service! The food was delicious, I personally recommend the Alaskan rolls, those were amazing! Also the music and ambiance of sushi Kong were nice, I wouldn't expect them to play song that I like!
google avatar

Yelp
Update: 9/24/22 So this time we dined in, you don't need to make reservations. The place was not packed, maybe about 4 tables filled out of 20 tables. I have to say that the service is not the best, not that they are rude or anything but they do forget you are there. What I noticed was that they get lots of take out, and prioritize on take out. We had to wait for over 30 minutes to get our food, and it was empty. They were too busy getting their take out ready. I have to say, the sushi and desserts were so DELICIOUS. Sushi Besitos Especiales Roll Florida Crunch Roll Miami Lover Roll Desserts Ponquecito Rico Nutella Block Toast Fluffy Pancakes I wouldn't recommend anyone dining in. Your best bet would be to do take out. This review is based on placing order through phone and picking it up. They had my food ready, when I got there. The place was empty I saw a lot of orders being picked up. Everything was really really delicious. Again this is based on picking up. I will definitely come back to dine in. The food is really good.
google avatar

Cyril M.

Yelp
The food here is very good. Inside it is a bit crowded and laud and outside it is just ugly LOL. It is just a table on the street and they haven't done much to make it pretty. We chose outside anyway as it was too loud and crowded inside. Everything that we ordered was awesome, especially the dessert, I forgot The name you can see what was on my photos. I gave them 4 stars because as we decided to seat outside they forgot about us. The waiter we had was a disaster and we did not get alone so they switched him and we got a second waiter that was very nice and efficient. I can't give them 5 stars if I had to wait outside on a table that was not even ready for 30 min, and they never would have come to the table if I wouldn't have gone inside and complained that they forgot about it...

Yelp
Meh....about this place, didn't have a great experience. Service was ok, waiter was kind of busy and all over the place. Sushi pizza was decent.... ( innovative and grabbed my attention ). Sushi rolls weren't so good.... Stale, not fresh, not tasteful. ( I'm a huge sushi fanatic and tough critic ). GET: chocolate kamikaze dessert, could of ate two of them . Simply delicious and a chocolate and sweet overload. Maybe it was an off day for them.....
google avatar

Julio M.

Yelp
The food was outstanding. The service was great. And the ambiance was stunning. What really made the night was their Chocolate Kamikaze.
google avatar

Christie G.

Yelp
All I can say I WOW amazing. Everything we ordered was great! Besitos especiales was by far my favorite. So u I que but all the flavors came together perfect.
google avatar

Jaclyn M.

Yelp
Very interesting set of rolls. Fish didn't taste fresh! I did not enjoy that sashimi. If you are looking for fresh fish and rolls I don't recommend. The also got the rice felt that it was lacking flavor.
google avatar

Ray R.

Yelp
I don't know what I like more the sushi, the desert or the two hot men that run Sushi Kong. While they are hot and spicy, we are out of luck since they aren't in the menu. Always amazing service! Friendly staff and great great food! Everything is delicious in the menu!
google avatar

Eric P.

Yelp
The restaurant has a really nice set up and the service was good. The best part was the incredible taste of the food. I ordered the besitos especiales as our appetizer and it was mouth watering good. I would highly recommend the Florida Crunch and the Miami Lover because they were so full of flavor for us. The King Yakimeshi was packed with savory flavors and so much that we saved the rest for later. I would say their margarita was a a tad bit on the weak side, but as far as what a person would go for (the food) it was a really good place to eat. I highly recommend.
google avatar

Jean J.

Yelp
Doesn't look as much when you're walking by but your impression of the location definitely changes once you're seated and the service begins- not to mention when you see the menu. The service was super attentive and friendly and the food, delicious and filling. In addition, once our waiter started to explain the menu, there was never a moment an item wasn't their favorite or delicious (which was funny) but turned out to be true once my friend and I ordered. The restaurant is very clean, the prices aren't "Miami outrageous" and are fair and overall, I enjoyed everything.
google avatar

Daniel D.

Yelp
I got tired of looking for a place that sold good sushi but when I went to Sushi Kong I really said this is the sushi that I like the taste of the combination of flavors that you end up with an explosion of flavors in your mouth that you will always want to keep trying the variety it offers and for me it is my favorite sushi place that I go every weekend and speaking of desserts I only invite you to go and try a little of what Kong sushi is and you will be satisfied with the food and the attention 10/10
google avatar

Etienne H.

Yelp
Ready to take your sushi up a notch? This ain't no ordinary, quiet run of the mill sushi joint but one that nicely blends Japanese tradition with a hint of Miami spice. Very few places right now take your temp, but this place does which is good - mask required, social distancing - ah not so much. For starters, you can't access the menu with a QR. but need to have one of the staff text you the menu (yep!). I didn't bother asking about future marketing efforts with texting). Spanish alguien? Practice here since they will start in Spanish amd move on to English. Good time to comenzar a practicar tu español! Start with a Sapporo, Tiger beer or even a mojito with a splash of Sake! The sale is ever so slight at the very end Now for the entrees, you need to check out an order for four people which was PLENTY! Check out my pics of the sushi rolls. All was delicious! ¡Buen provecho!

Yelp
We came here around 10p on a Saturday night. It wasn't busy and service was very good. Staff was polite and everyone greeted as we walked in which I genuinely appreciated. When we left everyone said good night and wished us a good night as well. Our waiter reviewed the menu and offered his recommendations, another thing I appreciated. The restaurant has a nice intimate vibe with little cubby like areas, perfect for dates. The food, however, was just ok. Presentation was excellent, everything looked good but it lacked the flavor I was looking for. For a place to claim the best sushi in Miami I was expecting more. They have a Latin infused vibe there but I felt my neighborhood sushi spots had better tasting food. Overall staff and service were great. Food was not, which is why I gave 3 stars. We ordered the following: sushi tacos, Romeo&Juliet roll (waiters recommendation), shrimp/veggie rice, Miami Lover roll, mojito, and kocada

Yelp
First time here and definately not the last one! We decided to stop by, as we always drive by this spot on the way to work. It has a cool ambiance and the food was great!! We ordered the Romeo and Juliet roll, Alaska roll, pataKong and had to give in to try the cheeseCrack. Everything was absolutely delicious. Since it's a mix of sushi and Latin food, it can be a little heavy but nonetheless extremely tasty! My favorite was the Alaska Roll (I like raw sushi more than tempura/ cooked) but my second favorite was the Romeo and Juliet, sooo much flavor in that roll!! We ordered the pataKong thinking it would be two small bites but it was HUGE so keep that in mind. The cheeseCrack was amazing but also a huge portion for two people. We couldn't finish it because we were stuffed and the portion could easily be shared between four people but it was delicious. We'll definitely be back
google avatar

Yade V.

Yelp
Friend and I were craving sushi & Sushi Kong Miami definitely satisfied those cravings! Passing by this place you wouldn't think much of it but don't let looks fool you. The sushi rolls are very filling and with great taste. Florida crunch was my favorite roll we ordered followed by the Romeo and Juliet roll. If you are into cream cheese and sweet plantains than the Blue Bird sushi roll is the one for you. We made sure to leave room for dessert and ordered the cheese crack, fair warning this is a HUGE dessert. Definitely shareable. Only down side, many of the rolls have a sweet plantain base so if you are not a fan of sweet plantain than your choices are a bit limited. Service was friendly and we got seated immediately. Parking can be found right next to the location. There's an open lot that offers free parking with the option to tip the gentleman who's overlooking the parking lot. Overall would stop by sushi kong again.

Yelp
One of the crazy best deserts ever! You'll know it when you see it on the menu..don't miss it!

Rok L.

Yelp
Great food, very cute place. Service was excellent and very friendly people. Must try!

Carlos R.

Yelp
MAGNIFICENT FOOD!! I came here with my daughter and not only was the food delicious, but the customer service was amazing. Highly recommend!

Sara N.

Yelp
Excellent, we drove from Naples to visit this place, and we loved it. Every option in the many ways great.

Cristina R.

Yelp
Wow wow wow!!! BEST sushi in Miami! Worth the time and money for the quality, unique options and atmosphere! Nicolas, our server, was amazing and made the best recommendations for our visit there! We will be back! Too many great things in the menu we didn't try yet!
google avatar

Sara B.

Yelp
Had high hopes but this place did not deliver. The server was a bit intense, like we felt as though he was mad at us, weird vibe. The sushi rolls were...okay. I also got white fish sashimi that I had to drown in soy sauce to get any semblance of flavor. The coconut shrimp tempura app (can't remember menu item name) was the best thing we ate...and the shrimp was overcooked. Def overrated hype. Also, the weird YouTube vid playing on the big screen over the bar of a guy DJing in a bathrobe from his bed was NOT it!
google avatar

Yelp
Parada obligada en miami, sin error alguno este lugar. De entrada unos patacones como siempre.

Yelp
The best sushi i have ever tried Excelent service

Jasmine M.

Yelp
So I came here on a night out. The inside seating is very nice. Really cute date vibes. They have music playing on the big screen with the latest videos out. I liked that. So For cocktails I got the "Kocada" if u love coconut, GET THIS! I ordered the Havana 305 roll and the Romeo and Juliet roll. The Havana roll was really good! It has plantain in it which was new to me but it worked so well. Spicy edamame was really good too. And finally for dessert I got the cheesecrack. TO DIE FOR. Be warned it's a huge dessert lol enough for four ppl honestly. Overall the food was great the atmosphere was great I would definitely go back! Check it out!

Emily L.

Yelp
Increible todo! La comida estaba espectacular y tremenda atencion. Vuelvo por el brownie con helado y los besitos especiales!! 100 de 10
