Sushi Maki Miami International Airport

Exceptional find… My salmon Poké bowl is not only the prettiest but tastiest I’ve ever had. The dragon roll was equally impressive and tasty. The calm atmosphere was a bonus in the crazy holiday packed travel weekend. Our waiter Sieuw, was very attentive and helpful walking me through the menu and even pointing out the hot Serrano peppers in a dish and offering to put them on the side What a great find! Can’t wait to return-

Appropriate pricing for the location inside the airport. $10 for16 oz beer. We had a very pleasant server. Difficult to get such a food in a quiet environment inside the airport. Therefore, I rated it appropriately High. Service is quick. You need 30 minutes to have a good meal. Food quality can be better. This is not a Gourmet restaurant. It will serve a good meal at a reasonable price and relatively quickly.

Honestly, I wasn’t feeling very well when I went so I ordered Ramen and it was the best! The portion in the beginning I thought it was huge for one person but it was perfect. I ordered it with pork and it was delicious. The place was calm, the service was excellent. Everyone super nice. The soup made me feel a lot better. The restaurant is in terminal D.

very disappointed with my order of Aji Amarillo poke bowl. way short of what i am used to in Central Coast California. first, the food eas served in a pasta bowl. The ingredientes were way less. Flavor was not there. sorry, i would noot recommend. fish at the bar dont look fresh

①The waiter is a great guy and I gave him 28-30% tip. ②He asked me if I wanted to add more noodles after he saw I quickly finished eating my super size of noodle soup. ③Why? The amount of noodles are minimum （less than one thord of a pack of instant noodle）see pictures. One of pictures with empty small bowel is to show you how small the bowel is. The other picture is to you how much noodles in total they gave to me.

Very bad experience. We came with a child and were seated at the bar while normal tables were free, and we were not allowed to move. Food was served in take-out containers even though we ordered to dine in. Later, I noticed that the bill included two teas, even though I ordered only one and only one was served. I do not recommend this place. Check your bill here.

For airport food this is good and we had amazing service from Johnny. We had the fifty roll, the ribeye, and the salmon. I was shocked how good it tasted. Next time I am in MIA I will look this place up again.

Contrary to some of the reviews here, I got a great experience at this restaurant. The staff was very friendly and was always there to help. The sushi was good, we got rainbow rolls and California, also some edamame and pork gyoza (DELICIOUS!). I'll definitely stop by this place next time I'm in this airport.

The service was excellent and efficient. The ambience was great excellent music play list as you watch the planes take off. Decent for breakfast. No need to add salt and soy sauce to rice it comes fully flavored and well salted. The meal was tasty. I was disappointed the h was "lunch meat" ham and not a real cut. The sausage was chopped up breakfast sausage links which I felt was reasonable given the type of dish. I'd definitely try another dish from here in the future.

One of the best things you can get at the airport. But that doesn't make it great. Just best option. Reasonably priced. I ordered thr JB tempura and a soup. Portions were HUGE which I seriously appreciated. Thr sushi was delicious. The soup was okay but def not the worst I have had. They charged me extra for a fried egg which was not cool (bc they didn't tell me) but besides that I enjoyed the service. I would eat here again if waiting at the airport for a while.

I would say this place is just OK as sushi places go. The server was nice and the service was quick so those are positives. I got the Aji Poké bowl. Another reviewer on here said it was "shocking good". I thought it was just OK. But certainly if you're looking for sushi in terminal D of the Miami airport, this place isn't bad. And there may be other things on the menu that are better. They have hot food too like teriyaki and pad Thai.

Immediately seated and created. Not super busy. We all ordered sushi and beverages. Server was friendly and the ambiance was nice, even for crazy busy MIA airport.

I was a little apprehensive But, they also had American breakfast, yay! I had the corned beef hash with onion add-on, two eggs and sourdough toast! Yum! A nice size portion of all. Our waiter was quite attentive. Their were choices of booths & tables.

We were first taken to a table. We asked if we could move to a booth by the window and was allowed to. The booth worked better for us and we were now out of the way and not blocking the walkway with our baggage. The ambiance was great. Not too brightly lit. We sat and enjoyed watching out the window as the ground crews and planes go by. The food was good. The food was so needed after a long day of traveling and not having eaten anything properly since breakfast. For an appetizer we ordered the shrimp tempura sushi to share. I had a teriyaki steak with side of vegetables. Mom had a chicken and shrimp fried rice. We did share a side salad as well. We couldn't eat everything and had to take the rest to go. Our wait person was friendly and engaging. We even talk after the meal and made plans to possibly see each other again next time Mom and I travel to MIA. She even offered us water to go since she knew we still had a late connecting flight and the restaurants were closing soon.

One of the worst meals I've had at this airport. Ive had better sushi from grocery stores and better drinks at college bars. Move on.

5 stars for an airport sushi restaurant. I said what I said. Not fun to make it all the way from Argentina only to have the last leg of my trip cancelled due to the ONE snowstorm a year in Dallas. Hard to hotel it yet not have time to make it to the DD for retail therapy. Day 2 - headed back to MIA to find more delays. At this point, I needed actual food and as scary of a prospect of airport fish followed by a long flight could be, I chanced it. You guys. wow. -Great menu with lots of choices and decent pricing. -The nicest servers! -The food was so fresh and amazing. If you have the time (or even if you don't bc they are quick), go here.

2 stars since I haven't gotten sick yet. Worst sushi ever. Truly. Bought a 25$ combo - fish wasn't even cut apart from other pieces. When it wasn't tough, chewy and flavorless, it was super fishy. Water bottle was great though so good stop for that! I eat sushi at different places at least 2-3x per month. Have had sushi in 20+ different countries and hundreds of restaurants. And only twice has anything rivaled this for quality.

We got stuck in the airport for over 6 hours due to flight delays. We had so much time to walk around to look at all the options. We decided to give this place a try as it was very packed and only had 1 or 2 table open at a time. We were so glad we did! I recommend their ramen.. not too sure about raw sushi. The menu wasn't that big which meant they could put more effort into each dish. Tonkotsu Ramen Soup- was the best dish we ordered out of 3. Broth was deep, rich, and savory. It was a little on the salty side but a little sip of water could help balance it out. We chose roast pork (chashu) and did not disappoint, had a nice crisp char. Pork was tender and full of flavor. Noodles were cooked perfectly as well- chewy, bouncy and not over cooked. Dancing Eel- was topped with thick eel and they didn't skimp out on any. Pad Thai- was good and had flavor but wasn't great. I chose chicken and it was loaded with a ton!

Menu: make sure what you order, there are details in the menu that sometimes need clarifying as they are between changing menus. Service: Server was trying to hard to upsell by adding extras. Sorta like nail salon, but you get some good stuff. So I'm not even mad at him for the attempts. Food: Restaurant quality food. And though it's "Sushi" we had Thai and it was all good. *I will say after I said something Miguelito Manager tended to our concerns and even gave my daughter a cheesecake for the confusion. He fixed it all.

We had an hour to kill before boarding was about to begin and we were starving. Stopped in at this place near D25 for a Chicken Teriyaki plate and 2 specialty rolls. If it wasn't for the huge airplane just outside our window we would have forgotten we were at an airport. Highly recommend this joint. Average plate was $15-25.

Had a long layover in Miami and decided to try Sushi Maki for dinner. I ordered the shrimp tempura and two rolls - the Dancing Eel and the Two Timing Tuna. The shrimp tempura was okay, the coating a little thicker then I'm used to for tempura, but the Vegis they include were rough. It had a thick onion ring, large cauliflower and broccoli florets. They were so large they released too much moisture during the frying process and the coating was soggy. The rolls were okay, nothing I would go back for though. The two timing tuna was supposed to have spicy tuna as part of the roll, but there was no spice at all. Service on the other hand was amazing, even when I told my server that they didn't need to replace the tempura as I was full and just wanted my check, she brought me a piece of key lime pie as an apology - and the pie was delicious. I know many will say, well what did you do expect at an airport.... I get it, but since I was at an airport on a coast known for good seafood, I expected more.

If you are looking for legendary sushi, Sushi Maki in Concourse D of Miami International Airport May not be your best first choice. It won't kill you however, and you can do a whole lot worse elsewhere.

A good stop for a snack or a meal with table service and full bar. They have a small selection of sushi and sake' but it's good, the place is clean and the service was excellent and prompt. I was ordering by the piece and my server was good to suggest that I get a platter and get soup or salad, and a better price than by ordering separately.

I needed to grab some food after a busy day and before a flight. Sushi Maki has friendly and attentive waitstaff. The waiter offered me honest feedback and suggestions based on my selections. For example he recommended the gyoza to pair with my cocktail and I initially wanted the dragon roll but he said fifty is like an upgrade. The food was really good and I couldn't finish it all. Although this location is in the airport, it was calm and quiet so the airport noise didn't impact my meal. I intend to visit one of the standalone locations because i imagine it'll be even better

This sushi was actually really good, especially considering we were in the airport. We had time to kill so I decided to actually sit in the restaurant and eat. I got two sushi rolls which is pretty standard to me, but they were HUGE! I had the Rainbow roll and University roll, and couldn't even finish them. I also had a glass of Chardonnay. Our service was good and quick, but the table next to us was very upset about their food taking too long. The seats are packed in tight so there wasn't really room for our two small suitcase carry ons. Overall great experience at the airport!

Overpriced and not fresh. The pieces were very small and flavor was lacking. Service was ok. Typical Miami customer service. I would not recommend this place.

I ordered the Pad Thai with chicken and paid 16$ for it and THIS is what I got! The box wasn't even completely filled! I took this picture before I ate anything from it. This place is such a scam! I'm from NYC and can get far better food with bigger portions there! Taste was okay, the chicken didn't taste super fresh, more like it was pre cooked and in the fridge for a while. They tried to upsell me with other add ons. Do yourself a favor and don't get anything for to go from there! Staff looked very bored too and not the friendliest.

Having been away from home for awhile and eating out a lot, I really was craving some Asian flavors and the desperation resulted in selecting Sushi Maki for my dinner before my flight home. Service was extremely friendly and efficient. I was able to sit down immediately at an open table and order. I got the fried gyoza and a tonkotsu ramen with roast pork. The gyoza came out first and was actually quite good. Lightly fried, skin not too thick, the filling juicy, I was encouraged at this point. Then the ramen came out and had to be the most Americanized ramen I've ever had. The roast pork was what looked like slices of honey ham. Instead of a traditional soft boiled egg, a fried egg was on top. The typical veggie toppings were missing and instead of diced scallions, I got a handful of chopped cilantro. Although this was the strangest ramen I've ever had, this place is probably still a more decent alternative to other options at the airport.

Not bad at all for being at the airport. The sushi was good 3 out of 5. The service was quite slow. They have a big enough space for sit down tables and they also offer to go.

Tried Sushi Maki during a long layover in Miami. After looking through the menu and having a difficult time choosing because of all of the excellent looking options, I decided on a rainbow roll, with sea salt edamame as an appetizer. Service was quick and my wait person was very attentive. My food came out quickly and it was delicious. The edamame was cooked well, and the rainbow roll was maid with fresh fish. The waiter suggested a Cuban flan for desert, and I was so glad I tried it, literally the best flan I've had in many many years. As far as ambiance, the restaurant was nice and relaxed, with people quietly eating their food. The noise from all of the announcements did not bother me at all. I highly recommend Sushi Maki if you're ever in the Miami Airport.

Really bad! The chief doesn't know to make Japanese food at all! The pork and egg were fired and put on top the noodle, OMG. Pls don't come, I will never comeback back!

Friendly and very attentive customer service. There are WAY more choices since my last visit. Glad to see more sushi combos, salads, peas, rolls and more!! Excellent prices and more options available for all budgets. Happy to see the improvements! ;)

I'm modified my meal and got a sushi salmon salad. It was delicious. The waitress was willing to work with me and they gave me a two dollar up charge. The seating was tight but comfortable. For airport food it was quite good. The other person in my party purchased sushi rolls and loved it.

This is a good airport option. Claudia was our server and she was great. We had coconut mojitos, spring rolls, and a couple of rolls and liked them all it was a pretty quick in and out which is important at the airport. They add an auto 18% gratuity, but it can be adjusted.

I had the pleasure of having lunch here with my husband last week: Our server Abraham was attentive, fast. He recommended us different greats options: I picked the fifty and my husband the steak. Delicious Thanks Abraham such excellent service.

If you're looking for a good meal prior to your flight, I recommend this spot. Service was so prompt and friendly. I loved their ginger salad and my entree. The steak wasn't super flavorful but it was tender and cooked at the right temperature. I'm usually a white rice girlie but decided to opt in for fried rice. It was the star of the plate.

Came here while traveling and passing through Florida. I had a few appetizers to hold me over for my next flight. They were the miso soup, chili garlic edamame and the fried gyoza. I was curious about trying the lemon pepper edamame since I had not heard of tried it. Unfortunately, I was quickly talked out of it and into trying the chili garlic edamame. It was not that good but I ate it anyway. The gyoza and soup were the best and were similar to the soup and gyoza I would have at home. The ambiance was regular since the restaurant is situated inside of an airport and service was okay. There was one server handling all the tables so it was a bit slow. Overall, it worked out since I had a layover and was able to kill time eating my favorite genre of food.

Well, for starters, this is a sit down and takeout restaurant in the airport. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the Hamachi was rather excellent. The miso soup was lacking in flavor, although it was full of greens and tofu. I also had a glass glass of the Spanish red wine and that was good. My server was a lovely woman named Darianny, and she was eager to please, and very cheerful and pleasant. There's plenty of seating at the bar and in booths around the restaurant area. The food came out really quickly and the edamame bowl was rather full, so that was a great deal for the money! it seems that this is a chain restaurant and they have multiple locations, not just in this airport. I felt like the quality was pretty high up there overall.

Came here for lunch and was not impressed. Ordered the ramen. It had nothing in it other than noodles and 5 pieces of pork. The soup tasted premade. To add an egg was $2 more so I opted out but expected to have some sort of veggies in the soup. None. The fried rice was decent, wasn't overly salty. But for the price better go somewhere else. Definitely not authentic. Also ask for tap water if you don't want to pay $5 for a bottle (that's what they bring automatically to the table).

Got Thai tea from here and it instantly made my stomach hurt, it was also small and full of mostly ice. They also had me sit down at a booth only to move me over I didn't end up ordering anything else since just getting the Thai tea took way longer than it should have, especially at an airport. Not worth it.

The food is good , consistant and the service is fast, which is important in an airport.

The dragon roll and fifty fifty roll were not bad. However the blazing noodle was very salty and small portion for the price. Look like a side but costed $14-$17 depending on the protein.

The food was really good! I had to catch a flight so I went to the to go side and the chef came by to say hi, cut my fish and deliver it to me. I got 2 orders of hamachi sashimi, my favorite thing to judge a restaurant by. I love yellowtail, you guys are so delicious! I can see why Whole Foods uses you. Cheers!

While waiting to take a flight out of Miami International airport, I happened to stop and get a bite to eat at this establishment. While the food I ordered was fine, the service left something to be desired . I had to wait twenty-five minutes for my order. Please keep in mind that this place is not large and does not have many tables. But having to wait for almost half an hour was almost intolerable! The cashier was not apologetic and mentioned that maybe I should have phoned my order in ahead of time. I cannot recommend this place to anyone if they're short on time, since there are fast food eateries in the terminal which will do a much better job if time is short. Please GO ELSEWHERE!!!

The food at this sushi spot at the airport is what you're expect from a sushi spot at a busy part of the airport. It's very mediocre but given that, is was not bad at all. Everything was well prepared and fresh.

We had our dinner here while we have a long layover time in Miami airport. We ordered the sushi boat and reman noodle soup. The sashimi is fresh, the reman soup taste good especially with their spicy source! Everything is so good after 11 days in Mexico with all Mexican and Italian food. I really look for some Asian food! I'm glad i found this! And they are open!

All. Very rude the staff. The worst fried rice that I tried. Did not have soy sauce. And without this, you can try fried rice because this one doesn't have any delicious taste. Doesn't have any Chinese taste like another place.

Came here to grab some food before the trip to curaco. Had a Bloody Mary while I waited. The service from Stuart was amazing, great sales man and a great server, kept up with making sure I was doing good before my flight. When you walk into the ambiance puts you into an actual sushi/Thai food place. I would come back here anytime flying Miami. I ate the pad Thai and it was good. It has half peanuts in it which take a little more to eat but great non the less. I did the egg on the top for a little extra up charge but it was worth it.

After the cruise experience. To get to Miami intl. tired hungry. Sushi Maki was excellent choice. Want to shout out my server Joshua was friendly, knowledgeable of the menu and awesome suggestions which the wok rice and ramen!! Muah! Thank you for the best airport experience in fine dining decor done fast! 10 out of 10

I've had better ramen from the supermarket. Overly salty, obviously not freshly made, bland. Service is great or it would have been 1 star. Go eat at Nathan's or La Carreta instead.

As a convenient stop that was right near our gate, we stopped at Sushi Maki for dinner last week for some ramen. It took a little while for a hostess to acknowledge us but we were seated in a short amount of time. We started off with the edamame with chili oil on it, which was really good to snack on. There was so much that we only really got to eat half of it. We also each ordered the chicken tonkotsu ramen which warmed us up on the chilly fall evening (it is Miami, but the airport was cold!). The eggs in each of our bowls were a bit overdone so it was tough to break apart. All in all, we're glad we stopped here and had a pleasant experience at a sit-down restaurant in the airport.

Service was great. Sieuw Sprver was an awesome waiter. Food and drink were good as well.

This is my go to sushi spot in MIA. I enjoy the seven seas and the whole foods roll. They can custom make them or you can grab and go. Checkout has always been pretty efficient. As far as airport sushi goes, this place is pretty good! I think this spot beats their Whole Foods stand in downtown. The sushi is completely different there. It's far more supermarket quality whereas this is more restaurant quality (better).
