"Celebrated omakase counter Sushi on Jones — the original one that limits diners to 30 minutes — is doing away with the time limit at a new Williamsburg restaurant. Also to be called Sushi on Jones, the restaurant at 97 North 10th St., between Wythe Avenue and Berry Street, will have eight counter seats for its acclaimed omakase, plus another 40 for an expanded menu of Japanese fare. Dishes from Sushi on Jones executive chef Corwin Kave will include chicken skewers with hot mustard and lemon and fried tuna belly with spicy cabbage and tare sauce." - Stefanie Tuder

What a fabulous surprise in our neighboorhood. Had a delicious 12-course omakase, the chef was fantastic! So nice, shared when we asked more of the fish and preparation. Our waiting staff was also amazing, she provided us with ample time to decide, cleared our doubts and was just the embodiment of great hospitality. We tried a glass of sake that was the perfect pairing and wrapped with an American-wagyu sando. Great value for price!

The most recent Sushi on Jones opening is the best they’ve had so far. Brooklyn sushi has always been lacking unfortunately, but now we have a real option. Very high-quality fish. probably the best you’ll get around here

We were so excited to hear that Sushi on Jones opened in Williamsburg but were unfortunately disappointed by the experience and food overall. We got the $68 12-course omakase. The salmon was wonderful, the rest of the nigiri was subpar. There was too much rice in each piece and a lot of the fish lacked flavor. We also ordered the “salada” which had a strong and unpleasant vinegar flavor. The atmosphere at the sushi bar was odd. With the way they built the bar, you look down at the sushi chef. They seemed rushed and unhappy to be there. If you’re looking for omakase in Williamsburg I can’t recommend Sushi on Jones.

Id give this a solid 4.5/5. Overall great food and great price. If you’re into half frozen beers(just regular beer but its cold af) this place is a must. Special thanks to the chef who took care of us :)

Was excited to try the new Sushi On Jones in Williamsburg, but was really disappointed by the food. The miso soup tasted like hot water with a little flavoring, but no miso taste. The spicy tuna maki was bland. The blue crab california was better, but for $19 I had higher expectations.

Such a lovely meal at Sushi On Jones! My group did the 12 course omakase and the host was so attentive and took great care of us! He made great recommendations for drinks and was very friendly. When my friend accidentally spilled some of her drink on herself, the host noticed and brought a rag with soda water and a bunch of towels over, very discreetly. I can’t wait to come back, and bring more friends! Try the tuna crispy rice when you come!

Perfect for a date night! Awesome cocktails and even better food! Love the combo of hot plates and sushi platters. Definitely an elevated experience where the waiters explain each dish which I appreciate, but pretty reasonable cost. We ordered SO many different things and it was all incredible. So happy this opened just a block away.

Yelp
Pros: - was able to get in on a Friday with no reservation, nice hosts - lots of menu options - entrees, appetizers, rolls, omakase - good sake/drink menu - fresh fish Cons: - I ordered the 12 piece omakase, the fish was great, but the rice was mushy and not flavorful. It really derailed the omakase experience - ambiance was kind of dead It feels silly, but the rice really made the difference in what could have been a 4/5 star experience. Not sure if I would pick this over other options in the area next time I'm craving sushi.

Yelp
The sushi was so well balanced and delish. You must try their sticky rice, I've never had a bite so tantalizing. It was recommended by our server, bill. He gave us great recommendations for drinks and food and I couldn't be happier. This place is a goddamned gem.

Yelp
Wow!! What an outstanding sushi restaurant!!!! Without a doubt the best one in the burrough. The freshness of the various fish was very apparent. The attention and service especially from Bill was terrific. He made us feel very special. The timing of the food and the generous portions were outstanding. This place is a 10/10!!

Yelp
Tried this place a few nights ago. We were told the menu was family style so we expected larger portions, especially for the prices. That was basically a lie. The sushi roles are literally just 1 normal sized roll for around $20 each. The 'crispy rice' dish was the biggest rip off. Two bite-sized cubes of rice for $17. Everything tasted good but I just felt like it was kind of a scam to say family-style when it's anything but. I won't be going back.

Yelp
Good food, not a lot of selection though. The omakaze bar is small, and I didn't seat there. But the restaurant is worth a try.

Yelp
The food is incredible, the service is super friendly and the ambiance has a good balance of light and dark as well as very cute decorations and details. The dessert was superb - Matcha sponge cake with cherry

Yelp
I've been wanting sushi and a martini alllll week. So v excited we came here for it! The bartender ( Max ) makes the most delightful martini (and convo). The food is INCREDIBLE and fun in the way they plate, present, and ya it's totally delicious. Must - go - must do.
