Yelp
This was a really unexpected restaurant that we stumbled upon.
We were staying in Caesars and didn't want to venture too far off to find dinner. So we found this place and was able to book a reservation in 40 minutes.
The outside was really unassuming, and when the waitress walked us inside to our booth, we were pleasantly surprised and very pleased. The interior was dimly lit and we had a nice booth. The attire was dressy, but some people dressed casually as well. We had tried omakase lately and was fiending for a menu that surprised us with each course. Unfortunately, there was no omakase here, but there was an Izakaya feast that says enjoy all their favorites from the menu for $190 for two guests.
All the waitstaff were kind and introduced each of our dishes. They refilled our water almost every time we took a sip haha and cleared the plates and brought the next courses in a timely manner.
Off the menu order:
Oysters - can't remember if it was Kushi but they were small and meaty.
1st course:
Brussel sprout chips - 5/5, we ordered a second plate because it was so good lol.
Seared Salmon Carpaccio - 5/5
Yellow tail diced chiles carpaccio - 4/5
2nd course:
Spicy tuna on crispy rice hanabi - 5/5, recommended to eat with your hands per the waitstaff instruction
3rd course:
Sashimi - Salmon, albacore, tuna, yellowtail - 6/5, so fresh!!
hanger steak with mash potatoes and asparagus - 4/5, the steak was cut already cut for us into nice sizes.
4th course:
Baked crab handroll - 3/5, it was okay, the handroll was in soy paper.
White lotus Roll - 3/5, at this point we were getting kind of full so we were getting a little scared at how many courses were left.
Gensai roll - 3/5, these rolls were okay compared to the previous courses we had.
5th course:
Dessert - green tea mochi and strawberry mochi - 3/5.
The hot green tea was also very pure tasting and soothing after a long ride.
I would come back =) there's also a lot of locations in socal which i just saw on their menu (Pasadena, manhattan beach, santa monica, newport beach). psst the izakaya menu in socal is only 75 per person whereas in LV it was 190. hahahah
