I'm disappointed that I haven't tried this restaurant sooner as I live so close and it is so good. Service is great. Twain prepares the best sushi. It's so fresh. Have eaten here twice since recently discovering this gem. Check it out. Visit with the owner and his wife. You won't regret it.

Very much enjoyed our dinner at Sushi Roxx!! Owner is super friendly & the food is absolutely delicious. We got the shrimp egg rolls as an appetizer, which are made in house & are perfect!! We also got the Infamous roll, Dynamite roll, Captain Twain Roll & Phenomenal roll. Each & every roll were delicious!

Friendly environment from owners to the staff!! Food is great!! Almost famous and razzle dazzle roll is the go tooo!!

great sushi with fresh/soft rice that melts in your mouth, Tuyen is the real deal, often making a custom roll based on your selections. Also the best shrimp egg rolls I've ever had.

I took the family there and my kids are picky eaters. The food was delicious! The owner is very nice and easy to talk to. The pricing was within range of most sushi places. I highly recommend this place.

The sushi is good. But the atmosphere when you walk in is strange and almost hostile. The past 2 times I picked up sushi, there was no one dining in (at 5:30pm) and the server was really unwelcoming as if it’s a burden to have to serve someone. They should consider formally transitioning into a to-go only establishment and getting rid of the dining room. The chef, on the other hand, is very kind.

The food is amazing but the service is absolutely horrible. We eat here a lot and the woman behind the counter is never really overly friendly but tonight took the cake. I called in a Togo order and when I walked in to pick it up she was on Facebook on her cell and took a solid minute to acknowledge me. After telling her my order she proceeded to ring me up and hand me my food without ever looking up from her phone. Such a shame because the food is great!

Sushi was okay. Ordered for take out and when I arrived, the door was locked. Someone finally came to the door. Took my credit card and came back. Said to wait outside and they would bring it. Like I said, sushi was okay. Check out Tokyo House if you want good sushi and friendly people.

Seeking something "light" for supper, and being just across the freeway, we saw FOUR STARS on Yelp, decided to give this place a try. First off; everything is cooked in nasty, greasy "panko"; even things advertised as "tempura". The egg rolls were typical restaurant fare, but it was all downhill from there. We tried two different "sushi rolls"; both awful. I was told that they actually had the ingredients to make tempura, but just cooked everything is panko and called it tempura, anyway. The ONLY reason for two stars is that I actually know a worse place for sushi. Our waitress, also the barkeep, was a very pleasant young lady, "Tiffany T"; her kind help was the high point of our visit. I don't see how a place this bad could stay open very long. Sign me "DISAPPOINTED" ! Rick

Came here in the afternoon around 4ish and the place was alive but not packed. The environment is nice and clean. My waitress tea is nice and on point. I recommend her!! I ordered a martini, po wow, and swagger roll. Overall, it was awesome! I will come here again.

The reviews are wrong! The tea was rotten, we got broken dishes, fried rice was very mushy and the sushi didn't have any flavor. The soy sauce is kept in a little box on the table and the was a gnat in ours. This is not the best place to eat sushi. I won't be back.

Was visiting Lafayette in October 2010 for business and was searching for some good sushi. This place fits the bill. I usually try the standard, like fresh salmon sake, spider hand rolls, etc. The owner was at the sushi bar where I sat and he made some awesome suggestions. I always find standard sushi somewhat boring, so he kicked it up a notch. One of his rolls was a spicy tuna without any rice, which was a very nice touch. I never liked tuna, but he made me a fan!

We were in the area so we decided to stop in and grab a bite. It took awhile to be greeted although the place was almost empty. We ordered the Yo Mama Roll and the crunchy roll.The Yo Mama Roll with the eel sauce was pretty good. While the crunchy roll was just tasteless.I can honestly say I've had better from one of the local supermarkets that has a sushi section. Okay food with so-so service.

My husbands new favorite sushi spot! You HAVE TO try the Mark Twain roll! It has what "normal cooked sushi" has on the inside, but the top has kiwi, strawberry, what I assume to be crushed froot loops, and a sweet drizzle. It is the bomb, I'm telling you! Definitely not what I expected, but I liked that. The service however was not very desirable-at all. I understand we went for Valentines Day and all, but I could have saved us an hour of our time if I would have just waited my own table. Heck, I could have waited 4 other tables around us and still did a better job than the people that work there. When I go to a restaurant I don't feel like I should have to beg my waitress to pay attention to me.

I've had Sushi all over the country. Sushi Roxx is HANDS DOWN the best place I've ever tried. They never shy on quality or presentation. The food is always fresh. If you're in the area, it is a must try. They have the best Raw & Cooked rolls you'll ever eat. Seriously, check them out.

I called to ask a question about my waiter order and she the owner/manager was so rude and hung up on me. We try to support our local businesses during the pandemic but I will never give them a dime after the way they spoke to me. There are plenty of well deserving businesses in Acadiana but this is not one of them!

Took forever, sushi had no taste, obviously artificial crab, overcooked rice, tap water All in all a bad experience

I promised the owner I'd write a review of his place last night. We ordered 4 different rolls because they all looked great. Most Wanted lives up to it's name. The Saints roll was awesome too. Broussard roll has a great local flavor with the boiled crawfish. The atmosphere is great, staff is too. We came in right after 7 and it was just in time because the crowd rolled in shortly after--and it was miserably raining! Owner is very personable and hands on. He helped roll our order. The sushi bar is a great place to sit for conversation with the owner and staff. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

Best sushi around. Worth the short drive from Lafayette. Very friendly, helpful staff and very reasonable prices. If you like sushi go here.

Very good sushi for Broussard. They have a good selection to choose from. The regular menu is ok but I usually go for the sushi. The tuna and yellow tail sashimi are always perfectly cut for tenderness and even thickness.

With all the sushi shops in town I didn't think another one was needed. I've been proved wrong again. This new sushi shop in Broussard has a wide range of rolls and some unique imaginative creations. You'll find the owners and staff to be informed and helpful. There are many selections for the non-raw sushi eaters that are the current rage in the sushi industry. As for cost, well below average for this quality of sushi. Nice atmosphere and amply supplied bar. Trust me, check this place out if your into the sushi. You won't be disappointed.

Over priced, took forever, broken dishes, and we could clearly hear a DOG barking from within the restaurant while we were eating. Would never go back.

Typically very fresh, delicious sushi rolls that can only be rivaled by Tsunami and Sakura in the Lafayette area. I have had one bad experience out of 10 visits in which my carry out sushi did not taste as fresh as usual which is why I only give it 4 stars

I ordered from them off Waitr. The edamame was sparse. The miso soup was so diluted by water it just tasted like salt water. I've had mall sushi better than this. The service sucked too I walked in and it took the lady five minutes to bust an empty table (there were only three people there) and THEN come serve me. No one else needed help she just had to bust the table I guess. And she forgot my miso soup at first. I'm giving it a star for being edible.

It's alright the time I went. I prefer tsunami. And there is another lil place off of Johnston east of dozo's in a lil shopping center called Fiji that is delicious

Sushi was really fresh and the roll we had with crawfish in it tasted amazing! My kids beg me to being them eat here every weekend. Very clean and pleasant atmosphere. I'd recommend them to anyone looking for sushi!!

Best sushi and well everything else we have had from anywhere in town and out of state! Big portions and there is no way you can beat there prices!!

Delicious and fresh sushi and the absolute most courteous and attentive staff! Suggest the Roxx roll, Rollie Pollie, but we have never had a bad roll.

So we went there twice. Both times were terrible! The first time we went we called in an order early in the evening. Waited 20 min to go get our order and when we arrived it wasn't ready but that isn't a big deal. What is a problem is that they only had two people working tables, I stood at the front counter for another 45 minutes and watched one of the waitresses eat her food in plain view of the rest of the restaurant. Meanwhile I'm waiting, only when she was done eating did she realize that my food was sitting right in front of her the entire time. She said sorry and handed me the cold food. Thanks. The second time it was a Friday night, again two people working the packed restaurant. We sat for 20 min before our drink order was taken. We got up and left. Went to Samurai 2 and had an awesome meal and service. Haven't been to RoxX since.

The only reason there is one star is the pork egg rolls which came with 3 very small spring roll type egg rolls but were delicious anywho. First I was charged $27 for a steak and chicken teriyaki meal in which the chicken tasted like rubber processed walmart bagged chicken. The salad was lettuce and ranch dressing. The menu had this meal listen $10 cheaper but that wasn't even an issue. Moving on to the three sushi rolls we ordered (spicy tuna, spyder, and Rock n roll) not only was the presentation pathetic it had no flavor. The spyder roll tasted as if the soft shell crab was fried in grease that hasn't been changed in ages and was completely falling apart. The spicy tuna smelled so badly I refused to eat it. The rock n roll was more of the same... Bad grease, poorly rolled, awful taste, so on so forth. Whoever compared this to tsunami was clearly partaking in the meth activity growing common in these areas. Let's just pray there is no food poisoning to go along with it.

They don't deserve 1 star! Worst to go experience ever! Only gave us half the order then called to tell us "we" forgot the other half? When we got home after getting the rest the order it wasn't even right! Never again, this was the 2nd bad to go experience we had here.

We used to love the sushi here and after swearing it off for a while due to terrible service, we decided to stop by for lunch. Why? I'm not really sure, but I wish we had not given them our business. No one else was there, however it took about a minute for the hostess to greet us. Even then, she continued to play in her purse and said nothing else. We kindly sat ourselves since it seemed she was preoccupied. She hands us the wrinkled sushi paper and a pencil AFTER she erased someones previous order off of the menu. If you're running a business, presentation goes a long way. We finally got our food and it was nothing at all close to its previous quality. The waitress would bring us our ordered items and never ask if we needed anything else, then continue to play on her phone. It's as though they truly do not care about their service. I'm surprised they are still in business with their lack of kindness towards guests.

Even though there was a sushi spot next to where I am staying(visiting for work), I decided to come here based on the Yelp reviews. Glad I did! Great sushi and great customer service!

Definitely THE BEST sushi in Lafayette and surrounding areas. Always fresh fish and soft rice. There's never a wait and the food comes out fast. My boyfriend and I come at least once a week!

This is our new local Sushi place. I personally know the owner and I'm not being biased towards Sushi Roxx's for this reason. They have tons of varieties on the sushi menu. I personally love the Two Lips and always request it extra spicy.

I would never consider eating here again even for free.The worst meal I have had in this area.I have never written a negative review in my life.The tuna was previosly frozen without a doubt.The edaname was dirty and undercooked.The sake was terrible i barely got it down.The cucumber/snowcrab roll was a mouth full of watery mayo.The salmon was not old but was certainly FLAVORLESS.The quality is terrible and the rolls fall apart like you made them yourself in your kitchen.The mango roll with the fired shrimp was okay but the grease must have been dirty they fried in because it reminded me of mcdonalds french fries.I am not being mean or unfair just plain honest.The girl who waited on us was very kind I'm sure she won't stay long

I was excited to finally give Sushi Roxx a try but was very disappointed by the service. Are they trying to run business away? We called ahead since we had a large party and it seemed the hostess was trying to sell us on not eating there, saying the dining area was packed and there would be a wait and that they don't take reservations or call ahead seating. We decided to take a chance even if we had to wait a little. We arrive to find the dining room half empty and were given a table that seats 6 for 9 people with nearly no wait, but were told as soon as another nearby table cleared they would pull it over for us. Drink orders and appetizer orders are made. Meantime nearby table clears out and instead of giving it to us who had our entire party in the dining room already placing orders they decided to make a reservation for another large party (REALLY management? we are not good enough to have one seat per person?) Needless to say we decided to leave at that point and they even had the nerve to try and charge us for items that they had not brought out. There are many other great choices of restaurants for sushi in the area with great service that value your business. Pass on this one or maybe try take out if they don't talk out of ordering when you try to call it in.
