"The words “affordable omakase” bring one thing to mind in LA, but if you’re nowhere near a Sugarfish, or are able to recite the order of a Trust Me a little too quickly, Sushi Spot is another alternative. This strip mall spot doesn’t have much in the way of atmosphere, but the $60 omakase is more than enough to get you in the door. For the money, it’s a lot of food, and doesn’t just consist of the usual salmon and tuna—you might get a baked scallop, stuffed squid, or eel as well. The premium, market-price omakase isn’t enough of an upgrade to be worth the money, but if you’re looking for good value in the Valley, Sushi Spot is an excellent choice." - Jess Basser Sanders

Google
Some of the most generous portions without being too heavy on fish or rice. They find the perfect balance. There’s a large selection and the prices are fair for the quality of food you receive. The customer service is great. The staff tends to your needs but doesn’t hover over you while you eat. I will be eating here again!

Google
Sushi spot has never failed us with their quality, serving portions, and the amazing staff. Just look at how massive the nigiri portions are! Compare to all the other sushi places in the springs, for their quality and serving size, this is the bang for the buck. It’s a small yet intimate and cozy atmosphere. Every time we want good sushi in the springs, my boyfriend and I have have been here for the past three years and it’s always hit the spot. Im quite picky with sushi and quality, so I’m very happy to know that after all these years, sushi spot continues to serve bomb sushi with such amazing chefs and staff. Seriously, the chef and servers make dining experience so much more special and enjoyable.

Google
It’s always a great experience at Sushi Spot. Service is always top notch & quick, sushi is always fresh. Went in for a quick lunch & did not disappoint. Sunset roll is definitely my favorite. The thin lemon slice is so refreshing.

Google
We went here for a small celebration and it was great! We ordered a varity of menu items, and they were all great. I think everyone had their favorites, but they were all amazing. We also had some people that didn't like sushi, and there were also options for them as well. The price was about what you would expect. The atmosphere was okay, decor was just okay, but it was cool to see the chefs make the sushi.

Google
The staff was super accommodating and kind towards all my food allergies (GF, egg free, no cucumber, etc). They were not bothered by the requests whatsoever. Can’t get over the service and how nice it was to have fancier sushi rolls on my limitations. Food was delicious and worth the price. Thank you!

Google
Went here tonight and the service and food was outstanding! Honestly best sushi spot in the springs! You will not be disappointed 🍣

Google
We love this place! Our daughter has food sensitivities, and the waitress always remembers us. The place is always clean and inviting. The food is awesome! We highly recommend this place!!

Google
This is my favorite sushi spot in the Springs as of my first visit! I have to eat gluten-free, and they had an entire gluten-free menu and a separate bottle of Tamari. Not to mention the portion sizes were perfect, the fish tasted fresh, and even the basic rolls were beautiful and delicious. I hope to be back many times!

Yelp
So yummy glad I came across this spot ! from Cali & one the best spots I've tried with great service waitress was great her name was Star ! Hit The Spot Specialty Roll & Ebisu Specialty Roll.

Jessica R.

Yelp
This place was recommended by an employee of the hotel we were staying at! Sushi portions were very thick (some might appreciate the value; but I don't enjoy the fish when it's not proportioned traditionally) we had the Colorado roll, chicken teriyaki bento box and some appetizers that were yummy! Service was okay; it was pretty busy and when I sent back the yellow tail (the pieces of fish were unpleasantly too thick) The chicken katsu was delightful Very small dining area- the tables stayed occupied with rotating customers so we took that as a good sign! Kid friendly and staff did a great job attending to everyone in a all hands on deck style. Over all a great sushi spot to try out in Colorado Springs!

Gina S.

Yelp
I've only gotten take out from this restaurant, but every item I've gotten has been fresh and really good. My favorite is the scallop nigiri, but the kids chicken teriyaki is also a great deal.

Mark W.

Yelp
Soooo good! It's funny how sometimes the best sushi is a thousand miles from the ocean, and this place proves the point. Very fresh, well presented, and conveniently located when in The Springs or Manitou. Most beautiful granite I've ever seen at the counter, as a bonus!

Yelp
This was our second visit to this restaurant. We were greeted when we entered, and given our choice of seating. The decor is understated, but lovely. The young lady asked us if we liked miso soup - we said,"Yes!" So she brought us each a complementary bowl. And it was delicious miso soup. We also each ordered iced tea, After looking over the menu, we started with chicken gyoza. My husband decided to get a lunch bento box with fish Katsu as his entrée and a California roll as his side along with the salad and rice that normally come with the bento box. I chose to try the yakisoba with chicken, which also came with a side salad. The gyoza came out quickly, lightly fried. They were very tasty, although I found the dipping sauce a bit too vinegary - my husband, on the other hand, loved it. One nice touch was that they also offered both regular and low sodium soy sauce on the table, so I was able to make my own dipping sauce by diluting theirs with more low-sodium soy sauce. Our entrées arrived soon after, and we're beautifully plated. There were four large pieces of fried fish in my husband's bento box and the rice was extra sticky making it easier to eat with chopsticks. Everything was hot and delicious. He said the California roll was great. My yakisoba was full of marinated chicken and many vegetables. It was delicious as was the accompanying salad. Our Schur checked up on us repeatedly and made sure we had anything we needed. She refilled our teas and always asked if we needed more. This restaurant is known for having great sushi, and my husband said that the California bowl was indeed very good, so next time we visit, we will try some sushi!

Yelp
I love this place, the service is always amazing and the food comes out quick and gorgeous and it was absolutely delicious. I would definitely hire them for a catering event one day because they have a great variety and the production is top knotch. The restaurant is very beautiful inside as well, nice plants and walls and I just really enjoyed my time here :). 10/10

Yelp
This is hands down the best sushi in the Springs! We spoke with the waiter a bit about how they source the fish and they fly it in almost daily and it definitely shows! The service was super quick as well. The space has an indoor-outdoor living vibe that is super cool and it's extremely well decorated. All the nigiri we got was delicious! The rolls were also amazing, but honestly with the quality of the fish, we wish we would've gotten more nigiri. The only item we did not love was their version of bang bang shrimp. Otherwise, we will definitely be back!

Tamar T.

Yelp
YES YES YES!!! Do come here!! Wow amazing sushi! fresh, great selection, kind and warm service!!! Super tasty. Can't describe in words! Go try for yourself. If you're in the area - come here to eat (&drink) to cold pink sake is Amazing!!! Came here twice is a week vacation to the springs!!

Yelp
We're visiting from Texas and tried this place out. The Sushi Spot did not disappoint. I forgot to take pictures of our food, we dug in too fast. The chicken fried rice was delicious, and my kids also enjoyed the crab roll. My husband and I had a sunset roll, spicy tuna roll, and a double crunch roll. All were delicious. The sunset had a lemon zest on top that was a little much for me but I just took it off and it left a light lemon flavor that just set off the rest of the roll. SO GOOD! We also had an order of spring rolls and crab puffs. We also got complementary miso soup. Our server was also super sweet and very knowledgeable about the menu. Food came out fast. And the ambiance was perfect small place/lofi video feel. I wish we could take this place back home with us ! Go go go. You won't regret it!

Yelp
I would actually give it a solid 4.5. Walking in we were immediately greeted and was offered the bar but we wanted a table or half booth/table. Pros: The hostess asked a to go customer if he wouldn't mind sitting at the bar so we could have his table. He readily agreed. That was above what I expected. The sushi was really great. A little slow service but definitely worth the wait. We only had one bad thing happened but it was totally minor. Very knowledgeable on sake and my husband chose the mango sake. The manager did a spot on with describing it. Cons: It's a very small restaurant. All the tables seemed cramped together. So not a lot of room to walk through. The tables against the wall seemed to have a little more space. But the tables in the middle are cramped. My ice tea tasted very watered down. The manager apologized and got me a new one. Still very subtle but still good. Recommended? Absolutely. We will be back, most likely at an earlier time to get a booth/table against the wall. Overall we had a great experience and recommend other go to this strip mall place. You won't regret it.

Yelp
our usual sushi spot was closed, so we yelped and found sushi spot. we were impressed. quality sushi. I enjoyed the fire cracker sushi a lot.

Jessica M.

Yelp
Very friendly service, clean environment, within a reasonable budget. Looks to be very popular and now we know why. Food is delicious and freshly prepared in front of you. Definitely would recommend and will be back.

Camila R.

Yelp
The sushi is so fresh!!! Best place in Colorado Springs. Not over priced . Amazing service even when they're busy. Great ambiance. My favorite sushi spot. I don't go anywhere else.

Aimee S.

Yelp
This place is so good! This is the best sushi I have had in Colorado second to Sushi Den in Denver. The fish is buttery and so fresh. The upside down shrimp w/ scallops was SO good, just a small amount of spicy mayo and eel sauce compliment the seafood so well, I usually dont eat things with sauce bc it is so over done but these are superb. The OCCC roll that has crunchy fried garlic is amazing. I will definitely be back.

Craig S.

Yelp
I enjoyed yet ANOTHER great visit at Sushi Ring with the lunch AYCE ($35 with tip) talking to Carlos and Takashi (his real name isn't Elvis, believe it or not!)... I went in hungry (a good move) and had a big variety of rolls, hand rolls, nigiri, soup & gyoza. The fish was fresh, soup just hot enough and service, top shelf as always. Takashi suggests the best and freshest that day, and I left it to him on two or three rounds. Even at $29 for lunch, I think we both came out even!!

David B.

Yelp
Our go to place for sushi in the Springs! Always fresh and on point. Nice selection of whiskey. We've been there numerous times and the meal and service are always good.

Amanda D.

Yelp
Delicious! And much more affordable then most places in Colorado for good quality sushi! We placed a delivery order before they opened and received it right after they opened. Definitely will be ordering again! We got 10 rolls for $80!

Scott P.

Yelp
If my phone had not been in the shop down the way getting a new battery this review would have been accompanied by a picture of an absolutely beautiful plate of nigiri. This place deserves every five star review it has gotten. High quality fish with excellent rice and fresh wasabi if you ask. Highly recommended. I'll be back whenever I'm in town.

Leilani A.

Yelp
Always a pleasure each time we come to Sushi Spot Service is great and attentive Variety of menu options Always try one of the specials on the chalk board by sushi chefs Presentation of platter is aesthetically pleasing Items we have ordered so far have all been delicious, flavorful and satisfying

Annette M.

Yelp
Decent little sushi place in Colorado Springs located conveniently a few blocks West of I-25. Priced a bit on the high side for the area.

Nora S.

Yelp
Hands down the best sushi I have ever had. Period. They have NEVER served me anything that wasn't amazing. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. If they suggest something, eat it. If they don't have a seat when you arrive, wait. It is 100% worth it. Great place, relaxed family friendly environment, amazing food. I would post a picture, but the food never lasts long enough for me to take one.

Rebecca C.

Yelp
I wasn't expecting a lot. It's not super fancy inside. However, the service was very attentive even though they were very busy. Miso soup is AMAZING! I came in hungry and left stuffed! Was sad they were closed on Sunday.

Ashley D.

Yelp
This is hands down the best sushi in the area. The prices are great, the service is quick, the rolls are huge and taste fresh.

Joy M.

Yelp
My favorite Sushi Spot. Have tried other places but always have to go back to them. The service and ambiance of the place is wonderful. By far my best Sushi place to go to.

Melissa H.

Yelp
I've lived in the Springs for over 20 years and have eaten at most of the sushi places around town. This was am amazing experience. The sushi was fresh and super tasty. The place is small but we'll appointed and the service was beyond good. Try the coconut sake, the yuzu drop cocktail. We had 13 rolls and every one of them was very well done. I was truly surprised by this strip mall restaurant. Give them a try and you will not be disappointed.

Sean D.

Yelp
Best sushi in Colorado Springs! We used to go to Ai, Nara, Dozo for good sushi, but Sushi Spot has the best quality and value by far.

Sawyer E.

Yelp
BEST SUSHI FOR A WHILE! Seriously enjoyed the variety of well prepared fresh sushi. Excellent service and staff, along with a clean fun dinner experience. Would highly recommend for sushi lovers passing through Colorado Springs. Easily a 10/10 restaurant!

Emily C.

Yelp
The service at Sushi Spot is simply unmatched! The waiter we've had both times (wish I knew his name) is so attentive and makes the experience just the best. This is a small unassuming spot in a strip mall but what it lacks in appearance from the outside is absolutely made up for by the service and food. The sushi is good and pretty standard. I wouldn't say it's Nobu quality by any means, but great for a small local spot.

Brendyn B.

Yelp
I've been coming here for the 2.5 years I've lived in springs. I've been to SEVERAL sushi places and this one tops them all. They can be busy , full restaurant and you're still going to get excellent quick service . I moved down to fountain, Colorado and I still drive 30 minutes for THIS sushi place. It is called the sushi spot for a reason. Chefs are amazing, fish is up to par and incredible . Servers are incredible . The ambiance of the restaurant has soft music, nice and quiet for a date . I HIGHLY RECOMMEND if you are into sushi. Cute small place for a nice date .

Gina V.

Yelp
The service was pretty good considering that it was super busy! we went on a busy saturday night! the food was super tasty and i'd definitely come again!

Laura C.

Yelp
This place is FANTASTIC! The food is phenomenal, the ambience is very romantic and the staff is exceptional. Great for a date night! Just prepare to drop $400 for 4 people lol.

Jo K.

Yelp
Best sushi you will find! I've tried all the spots in the Springs, Denver & also sushi from other states & in Europe!! By far Sushi Spot beats them all. The sushi is so fresh it just melts in your mouth! No fishy taste or smell, just complete freshness! (I'm a sushi snob) Amazing flavors between rolls vs other sushi places who's roll's basically taste the same. You will NOT be disappointed in the quality, quantity & freshness of fish here. The staff! Well I can't even express how amazing they are. So kind & caring, always making sure we are taken care of and beyond at each visit! Tonight we had the following (top to bottom) Ebisu Specialty Roll (1st & 3rd row, minus eel) 14'er Specialty Roll Yellowtail & green onion (bottom left) Salmon nigiri with lemon Garden of the Gods Specialty Nigiri Salmon Specialty Nigiri Yellowtail belly (I believe) Seaweed salad add avocado And a wonderful glass of their cab wine.

Andrea M.

Yelp
The best sushi in town and the male server always greets you with a warm genuine smile. I like that the restaurant has a small intimate feel, is down to earth, and welcoming without pretensions.

Pegan S.

Yelp
As fresh of sushi as you can get in Colorado Springs. Friendly and attentive service in a very cute restaurant. I live way north, near Monument.... But it's worth the drive to come here when I want sushi.

Jesse W.

Yelp
So I've eaten here now a few times and this place is a hidden gem. The fish is fresh, the rolls offer something besides tempura shrimp rolls, though they have those too. The sashimi is fresh, great, and melts in your mouth. I've been to all the sushi places in SW Colorado Springs. These guys are doing it right. I know I'll be back. Check them out if you haven't.

Nicole G.

Yelp
I've had sushi from all over the country and I will say, this is hands down my favorite sushi place ! The red snapper chip appetizer was so unique and tasty, for rolls we had the occ, tidal wave and ebisu, we're made with so much love and artistry. The fish was so fresh it melts in your mouth! And the dessert Wontons were to die for! Light, slightly sweet, crispy, and devine! Omg, I HAVE to come back again and again!

Eric R.

Yelp
Place is clean and very good sushi, the food is great. Wife and I prefer A.J as our chef for sushi, i don't know something what he does differently that his sushi rolls are phenomenal. Now, i am sure there is other chefs there that are really good as well. The food is delicious, the place is clean, the service is on point, never had to tell the service to refill my diet coke. They have this jalapeño roll its really good. They also have spicy edamame which is really good. Their rolls are all good, but i have my ultimate favorite and that is heart attack roll (jalapeño roll). The price is reasonable. One thing that they are missing is the fried calamari. However, other than that i would recommend this little gem to the next sushi lover.

Sarah H.

Yelp
The Meihan specialty roll is addicting. The awesome server recommended it to me once and I crave it all the time now. Arguably the best "sushi spot" around

Red S.

Yelp
Ethan was our waiter and he was amazing! Very attentive and observant, he even ran the leftovers we almost forgot to our car. The food itself was amazing, we got the Kyoshi and Firecracker roll and both were so unique and flavorful!

Rin P.

Yelp
I LOVE sushi. I ordered, to go, I think.. a caterpillar, ebisu, and the rainbow roll, and some miso soup. This was about a month ago. Customer service was great, very friendly staff. Miso soup was good! The ebisu roll was just above tolerable, the fish was not exceedingly fresh, which, to be fair, it's Colorado. They got my order wrong and gave me a meihan (I can't eat sadly) roll instead of a rainbow. I went back in and they were very kind and quickly made me a rainbow roll, and they let me keep the meihan, which I gave to my mom, who loved it!! (no raw fish) Maybe they did it on purpose, because the rainbow roll was the worst sushi I've ever had. $5 wednesday sprouts spicy tuna is SO much better. The tobiko on the rainbow roll was so old and stinky I tried to individually pick off each egg, and still the roll stunk/tasted gross. I love tobiko. I do not like rotten fish. I couldn't finish it. I have never thrown away sushi before in my life. The caterpillar roll, I was hoping to be a saving grace. And yet, some of the eel had such thick skin it was all fat and no meat/flavor. I know eel is fatty, it's amazing with avacado, I get a caterpillar as desert almost every time I get (more than one roll) sushi, but this was pure, thick, skin fat. Flavor of the rest of the roll was okay though, but even still, had the artificial crab gone bad, or did it just get too close/touched by the tobiko? Maybe I would have thought higher of the taste of caterpillar/ebisu if the rainbow wasn't awful, it seriously stank so bad it tainted everything. I really started craving sushi, and I made it through a hell week, so decided to treat myself some sushi. This place has the best reviews, which is why I went here last time. I google mapped it before finalizing my order and realized it was the same place, and then canceled, and then remembered everybody else is getting food here, I wish I'd been warned before I spent that money, so here's my warning to you. I really want to find good sushi in Co. Springs, and am definitely up for suggestions!!!!!!!!!

Harry G.

Yelp
We enjoyed this place for a Valentine's Day date. Delicious escolar nigiri and rolls. The 14er and sunset rolls were unique and had great flavor. Will be coming back!

L R.

Yelp
This was okay food, but I would t rush to return. I had a Bento box. The salad was good. The teriyaki chicken was okay. The chicken was most tender, but the sauce was just okay. The rice was typical rice. The sashimi was pretty good. The miso soup was a bit bland.

Baylee R.

Yelp
Seriously the best sushi I've ever had, it was so fresh with high quality ingredients. It's better than sushi I've had from the Bay Area! This will always be my go to sushi spot in Colorado. Also wanted to note the heart attack roll was also delicious, it's a grilled jalapeño stuffed with cream cheese, spicy tuna and deep fried. It was chef's kiss

Kay W.

Yelp
I've been going here for sushi now for years and am still amazed by how fresh and yummy their fish is-- since we're landlocked and all! Absolutely the Finest sushi is all of Colorado!

heather p.

Yelp
Great food and staff. Love everything about this place except how far away from me it is!

Mosheem K.

Yelp
I loved this place. The place gets busy. The sushi rolls were just amazing. I like that they asked if I wanted it drizzled with sauce on top, and I said no. The volcano roll and deep fried spicy tuna were really good.

Kierdon B.

Yelp
This is my favorite sushi place in the springs. The service is always great and the food is delicious. The restaurant atmosphere is comfortable, and they are also great for takeout orders. The monkey brain is spectacular.

Kris R.

Yelp
This place is legit. We showed up and were sat almost immediately. Although the service was a bit slow because they were busy, this place is excellent. We had a mixture of different rolls. Everything was great and their spicy tuna is terrific. I highly recommend this spot!!!!

Trinity B.

Yelp
The food here is absolutely amazing! I love their fried rice and the sushi presentation is absolutely perfect! Shoutout to the staff for helping make a birthday dinner special and easy
