Flower Child’s Dino McDonough shares his favorite Las Vegas restaurants - Eater Vegas

"The fish is always cold and fresh. I always sit at the bar and order halibut sashimi, baked green mussels, and then whatever the sushi chefs are feeding me." - Susan Stapleton

So I frequent this place and depending time & day the service at the bar IS AMAZING! However so days they have workers who may take 10 minutes to acknowledge you at the door. This trip I ordered the “Baby Roll” YUM YUM YUM! Deep fried sushi 🍣 The best ever!! I will always go here for my sushi fix!

If you’re on the hunt for the best sushi in Las Vegas, this spot is a hidden gem that really deserves more attention. The sushi here is top-notch, and the vibe is just perfect—modern, cozy, and calm. You instantly feel relaxed as soon as you walk in, which is such a nice change from the usual hustle in Vegas. The sushi quality is seriously next level. Every dish I’ve tried here has been amazing, with super fresh ingredients and amazing flavors. They’ve nailed every one of their custom rolls as well as claim favorites. Honestly, this is some of the best sushi I’ve had anywhere, and it’s clear a lot of care goes into every plate. Another big plus is that it’s never overly crowded, so you’re seated fast, and there’s no feeling rushed through your meal. The staff are super friendly and know their stuff, adding even more to the experience. This is definitely one of the best sushi places in Las Vegas. Can’t recommend it enough.

Google
Yuck. Ordered delivery from here and everything tasted far from fresh. Edamame seemed frozen and reheated, seaweed salad tasted like iron, and the salmon had an odor that told me not to eat it. I wouldn't suggest this place, too many good alternatives around.

Google
The service was excellent. The pan fried potstickers were overcooked, but maintained it's flavor profile. The sushi roll was delicious. The filet was delicious as well. The shrimp were very disgusting. The chef attempted to make another order and it wasn't any better. The shrimp were unseasoned and overcooked. Worst shrimp I've eaten at Japanese restaurant.

Stopped by after dancing and recommended by Kumu. My girlfriend and I both had pick 2 bentos. Service was good, and our server was very nice. Food: Combination Dinnet Special- Tempura and Teri Beef. My friend had the Katsu and Bulgogi. The combo plate came with Rice, Salad. 2 gyoza and miso soup. The food was delicious. I also had a few drinks and glad they have a full bar. Overall, I'd come back again.

Google
It was all just okay! My hot food was cold and plated in a silly manner. Sashimi salad was pre-tossed, highly dressed and consisting mostly of iceberg lettuce. Overall, it was overpriced and was small portions for price point. I'm used to California sushi, so I'm learning that Vegas can't really compete with that so far. Haha. Maybe worth trying anyway! But we didn't love it.

Google
I liked eating at Sushi Tower & Steak (or Sushi Avenue & Steak as it appears on the receipt). I've only eaten there once. Song, a friendly and energetic older woman who served my dinner companion and I, was a delight. The food was really good and reasonably priced. It seemed to be a happening place at the time I was there, as people began pouring in as we were leaving. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone, and will eventually go there again.

Google
Door dash delivery last night. The seaweed salad was not great in my taste, but I got a bunch of rolls (about 80$ worth) and they were all excellent for take out. Very happy! The Jay roll was a standout so was the double tuna, my goodness!! Definitely will do takeout sushi with them again 🍣. The garlic ponzu sauce... they gave me way too much so now I'm going to use it to marinate my steaks! So good

Yelp
This is one of our favs to go to. We've been coming here for years I'm surprised I've never done a review. Service is always friendly. You go enough they will remember you. There's a lot of seating and they also have Hibachi grills. Huge Sushi bar! My favs are the Japanese Burrito (sorry no pic....I got too excited and ate it!). Lady Ga Ga and GG special. Their menu has a lot of selections from sashimi to baked sushi items. Japanese burrito is shareable but I wouldn't recommend it bc you will probably regret that choice cause it's so good. They serve it with screaming o sauce. It's so yum! Well that's what's happening in my mouth! Now you go try it and tell us what's happening in yours!

Yelp
Went here last night for a date night. We got sat at a table, but looking at the sushi chefs caught my interest, so we were asked if we wanna sit at the bar by sweet Kim. Such a great transition. We had a good Laugh by the quirkiness of the menu. So Vegas style, We love sauces and tangs. Each sushi we got like the Angela special , monica roll . Spicy salmon sashimi. We had a lot more. And a lot of the cold sake Was actually i think one of the best and and surprisingly super fun just sitting at the bar date nights i had! The staff was simply wonderful. And with the sushi so fresh and melt in your mouth buttery soft sashimi. Was just so delicious!!!!!! We will def only do our once a week sushi's here . So glad we found this place after craving sushi.

Yelp
I have so much love and nostalgia for this place. It was the very first sushi restaurant I ever went to, at the mere age of 11 years old (I'm 29, now). If that doesn't tell you enough, I'll also say that it is also what set the standard for all of the other sushi experiences I would have, thereafter. All of the fish here is super fresh and they have such a diverse menu that there really is something for everyone, be it rolls or full-on meals. If you're looking for a sushi spot with tons of specialty rolls, this is definitely the spot. It's family owned, and has been for as long as I've been going there, so you know everything goes back to the local community. Everyone working there has a great attitude, welcomes you at the door, and genuinely does what they can to provide you with a wonderful experience. Sitting at the kitchen bar is always my favorite, I really enjoy watching them create their magic. I also love the personal aspect between you and your sushi chefs. My favorite thing to do has always been to ask them to create something off menu, something special. They nail it every time! A must try is the Monica Roll, I believe it is one of their most popular, and for good reason! Honestly you can't go wrong with anything you might choose. Truly unmatched, in my book. If I could give them infinite stars, I would!

Yelp
Best place for sushi delivery. I honestly don't like to do sushi delivery very much because it's one of those things you rather eat at the restaurant but having kids we often opt to stay in. Sushi tower is our go to for delivery. They always package nicely and get our orders right. I think the price is reasonable. Ace's roll is my favorite.

Yelp
I had completely written off Sushi Tower & Steakhouse a few years back during the pandemic. Their take-out I thought was subpar and I was also not really impressed by an experience I had when I was sitting in the dining room portion of the restaurant. I thought that the place was average at best and kind of didn't find it necessary to even Yelp about it. My husband wanted to grab a bite the other night and knows my thoughts on this sushi spot, but encouraged me to go with him and specifically sit at the sushi bar. He thinks the quality is better than my initial impressions from long ago and wanted me to give it another try. I am glad I returned as he said I should, specifically sitting at the sushi bar. Although the backdrop of the actual sushi bar itself to me appears to be a hot mess (not dirty, simply cluttered), the sushi was better than my memory was remembering. Their options for fresh fish for sashimi cuts were not as unique or extensive as other local spots. With salmon and yellowtail as my bar to judge quality and of course available, they were pretty good. Their menu of rolls is really lengthy. We ventured out of the box a touch and ordered a Jay Roll and a Sting Man and both were very delicious. We always finish with a hand roll and man, it was super stuffed with spicy scallops. Was not disappointed at all with our meal. Staff was friendly and conversing football with us as we watched Monday night football on the tv parked about the sushi bar. Sushi chefs were detailed in their work and not particularly chatty. Although I am only willing to toss out a 3 for Sushi Tower & Steakhouse at this point (maybe the general clutter of the sushi bar back bar is weighing on my conscious more than I realize), I will go back. They are like a 3.5, but not a 4 to me. I want to be wrong about my 3 review and leave room for improvement during my next visit and a follow up review.

Yelp
Wow! Fresh , and lots of no-rice Rolls including the Amazing'Larry' Roll, the 'Wendy Roll' and Spanish Fusion 'E-Roll' ... Sam does Outstanding work! Grab a Sapporo and get the No-Rice Specials- Juicy, Juicy is great too ! Thanks Kim & Juju (owners) !!!

Yelp
My hubby and I decided to go here after church. This is not the first time eating here. We always enjoyed our time and food. When we entered the restaurant was empty which is always good . The restaurant had soft music playing. Waitress sat us in a booth and asked us if we wanted anything to drink. We both ordered water with lemon. She came back with our drinks and asked us if we were ready to order. We both decided to order the same thing their combination dinner Salmon and Shrimp Tempura. When our food came his salmon was perfect but mine looked so unpleasing. I didn't complain to the staff because I was hungry. The salmon was slight dry and portion argh. I really enjoyed their salad. Their tempera was delicious. The young guy came to our table twice to make sure we were doing fine and our water glasses were filled. The reason for my 2 stars was because I felt they could've done better with the salmon portion wise and presentation.

Yelp
So good and fresh! Halibut tower and lunch special excellent!!!! Service too! Can't go wrong with anything on menu

Yelp
I came here on a weekday afternoon, was greeted right away and seated. I was craving some teppanyaki (hibachi) and this place is the only place that opens before 3pm. I really like their meat quality, their filet mignon and chicken are both tender and perfectly cooked (not chewy). Their scallops are just ok though, I think if I come back next time I'll just get their steak and chicken. Their salad dressing is also very tasty, I usually don't finish my salad but I finished theirs. The restaurant is big and clean, service was on point, maybe next time I'll come back to try their sushi as well

Yelp
The restaurant was empty at lunch time, with five employees inside. We were seated right away and brought water, we ordered and the food was ok, very small rolls with barely any filling. The tempura was good and came out hot. I was hoping for a bit more with this restaurant, but it fell short.

Yelp
My husband, in-laws, and kids came in for an early Father's Day lunch because we were in the area and my husband was in the mood for some sushi. It a small little place but very clean. What we didn't realize unfortunately is that they did not offer AYCE and the prices were a bit high, none the less we decided to stay and have our meal. I had to knock a few stars because of the price and also because between the 6 of us they gave us one menu and no one really came by until later for us to put in our order. My husband opted for the California roll and a few others and they were pretty tasty. I didn't wanna get crazy on price so I went for the chicken teriyaki bowl. I will say the portion for the bowl was huge. My kids split a popcorn chicken and they seemed to enjoy it as well. Over all was a good meal but when there are so many AYCE options for a fraction of the price I can't say I'll be back, but definitely glad we checked it out and maybe sometime they may add some cheaper specials that may bring people in.

Yelp
The food was amazing! I had the yellowtail with jalapeño and yuzu sauce, garlic edamame, and the Monica roll. It was so good I had the same exact meal earlier this week. I ordered on ubereats then I ordered directly from the restaurant for pick up. It was so fresh and the food was consistent each time. The pick up time seemed reasonable for what I ordered and it was ready upon arrival. The staff was nice and welcoming. The restaurant seemed clean and was a little quiet, nice place to have lunch or dinner.

Yelp
One of my new favorite sushi spots in Vegas! Most recently tried the spicy salmon rolls

Yelp
We ordered carryout from here tonight and loved it. Fresh fish, solid portions and friendly staff. This is a really underrated spot and look forward to making this a solid stop in the sushi rotation. They have really fun rolls and great sized sashimi.

Yelp
Stopped in with a work colleague for a quick lunch--we work nearby--and while it satisfied my craving for sushi, it was fairly so-so. I can't remember the names of what we ordered, one is the Lady Gaga and another was Give Me Five, I think. When looking through the photos, the one with the big bowl of dipping sauce was the chewiest sushi roll I've ever eaten--like crunchy, sticky chewy. While the texture was off putting, the taste was good. They had a fairly good lunch rush going on for noon on a Thursday, so I wonder what they look like at dinner time. This place is just ok, I can't figure out why my coworkers LOVE it so much. For reference, three rolls, a coke and a water came to $48 plus an additional tip.

Deneen D.

Yelp
My favorite sushi place. I have a lot of food allergies so when I order, it takes awhile and my food always comes out exactly how I need it. Staff is always wonderful and food is always great. If it's not, they make it right.

Yelp
We just had a wonderful lunch here at Sushi Tower in Summerlin. Everything was delicious and very fresh. We had the miso seabass appetizer, spicy tuna on crispy rice, rainbow roll, New York sashimi, albacore sashimi, udon and the Angela special. The sashimi was amazing, so fresh and generous portions with a very interesting fresh wasabi mixture that is salty and mixed with other things. The Angela special is a yummy no rice roll. Plus the servers are sweet and attentive. We love supporting this family owned business.

Yelp
Delicious. Not a lot of rice in the rolls!! My favorite part. Their jap chae was delicious. Will probably order more Korean food here and sushi rolls. Our second time here. Server was on point. Always helpful. There are booths and tables, very comfy. Not loud! You can actually have a conversation.

Yelp
This was my first experience having real Sushi. I went in with 2 of my friends. One friend did all the ordering. I wasn't sure what we were having for the most part. We got 8 different types of sushi. I was pleased with each item I had. The service was excellent! The restaurant was very clean. I was very impressed. I'll definitely be back.

Yelp
WE went to Sushi Tower for lunch. first time there. We both had the lunch special. I had teriyaki chicken and beef Bol bogie. Both were very nice. Came with a small salad, 4 California rolls, rice, soup and 2 pot stickers.. No problem here. The other person had tempura shrimp and also tempera vegetables, plus all the sides. Only one shrimp though.. otherwise everything was very good,

Yelp
We enjoyed all of our meals. My son got a vegetarian dish and loved it. I got a sushi roll and sashimi both were delicious. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
Husband was craving Sashimi so we found this close to our hotel . I'm not a huge seafood fan but they sure had a big menu that catered to my picky ness I had the chicken bento box and I was so relieved that the tempura veggies weren't greasy . We really enjoyed our lunch don't forget to check in to claim your free small Saki as well !

Yelp
Sushi Tower is one of the very few Sushi spots we actually do delivery for. If you enjoy baked Sushi rolls, Sushi Tower has some of the BEST sushi options. We order Sushi Tower at least 2-3 times a month..its our little treat when we do not feel like cooking. I'm very picky when it comes to ordering Sushi or seafood through delivery apps but Sushi Tower is an establishment that rarely disappoints. We have tried several of their rolls and found very few that we wouldn't order again. Perfect t place to place a quick delivery order and sit back and watch your favorite show. Thanks for being so AMAZING

Yelp
Found this place while driving around on a Saturday night. First off, it's not a AYCE place, but that was fine by us. It was almost 6pm and it wasn't busy so we were seated in a booth right away. The first thing we noticed is that the table was very sticky. They gave us a bunch of laminated menus but didn't give us a sushi menu, which we ended up asking for. They have pages and pages with photos and photos of rolls. We settled on a 3 choice dinner combination, Chicago sashimi chirashi, uni nigiri, and Kobe beef roll. The salad that the dinner combo came with was soaking wet from wash and bland even with the dressing. Salmon was hard and dry. They only gave 2 pieces of shrimp for the shrimp tempura offering. The best part of the combo was the bulgoki. The uni wasn't soft and buttery and had that weird aftertaste. I've been trying uni all over the valley since moving here and less than a handful of spots have hit the mark on soft, buttery, sweet fresh uni. It took forever for our Kobe beef roll and when I finally asked about it, apparently they never put in the order so we had to wait even longer. Service is friendly and they are very attentive. The sashimi quality was excellent for all three fish types. We had tuna, salmon, and hamachi. If you're coming here, get the sashimi for sure. By the time we got our Kobe beef roll we had already finished eating everything else for a while. The roll tasted alright, the beef was chewy, but we ended up boxing it up and taking it home. Women's restroom wasn't clean, there was toilet paper unflushed and all over the floor in one stall and smelled like sewage similar to many places here in Vegas.

Yvonne W.

Yelp
We have ordered from here many times but todays order was awful. Crispy rice was the size of a penny. The halibut tempura tasted stale. My grandson refused to eat the chicken as it looked and smelled funny. Sushi portions were smaller than usual and not with the price I paid. We will not order from here again as quality and quantity of sushi has diminished. Can't tell you how dissatisfied we were with the food. One star since I can't give them zero star After eating halibut I spent next 1/2 hour in bathroom Ugh!!

Yelp
Service was slow. Table was not clean it was sitting there dirty. I randomly picked this place as it was next to the pho4real. I never thought of looking at reviews. I had a party of 13 and there was only one server. I'm not sure if it was the owner that grabbed my cup to get a refill but he never came back to get my drink. Customer service should always be number one. Never leave a customer with a empty drink cup. Not sure how they got rated so high. They need to work on being more consistent and checking on their customers to see if they are ok. To rate the food, the teppanyaki which cost $30 for the steak, the portions were for a youth, I recommend ordering two for an adult. The pros are the sushi. The Kobe and mountain roll.
google avatar

Yelp
This place is delicious! Reasonably priced, too. Highly recommend the Monica roll. If you love grilled onions, the Boston roll is definitely for you.

Yelp
It was not good as it seems like it. Food was blant. Service was pleasant & ambiance was ok.

Yelp
This joint has good reviews and the food pics look legit ...so I went here around 8 pm it wasn't busy. The staff is friendly and fast. I had a drink In about 2 minutes. Food in 10 Clean sushi is what I wanted and what I gots Go here order away. The menu is huge. Check in on Yelp right when you get there, the app will kick you a free Saki shot coupon.

Yelp
Great place for sushi , love the poke salad , the stuffs are friendly , the tuna is fresh.

LeAngela S.

Yelp
I've been coming here for many YEARS. Unfortunately, the sushi (especially takeout) has become terrible over the past couple years. Anything with shrimp tempura tastes like it was made yesterday. The ingredients in the rolls look questionable lately. Half of the time the sushi rolls aren't even cut all the way through. Also, I'm always charged a different price depending on the cashier. Sadly, I keep going back hoping it was just an off day but my palate and stomach can no longer deny the food quality and taste. (RIP their old S.O. Sauce) Even sadder, I have to finally accept that it's time to find a new restaurant to patronize.
google avatar

Saher A.

Yelp
Great sushi place. Not too expensive and really nice and clean interior. Doesn't look like much on exterior but you have great sushi waiting ahead.
google avatar

Hai W.

Yelp
I ordered a spicy ramen for $8, but it is literally an instant noodle that I have the exactly the same one in my house. I can easily cook by myself by adding some hot water in there! There are no description anywhere that says it is made from an instant-noodle / cup-noodle! And when I called the restaurant, they simply replied that's what they always do and all ramen are cup-noodle. I mean, if I go to any other restaurant to spend $8 for a spicy ramen, no one will serve me an instant-noodle that I could cook by myself in 2 minutes and call it the ramen.
google avatar

Shelia M.

Yelp
As a new resident to the Las Vegas area Sushi Tower had that coastal feel. The staff were very friendly and not hurried. The sushi rolls were fresh. I had a spicy tuna roll and my husband a California Roll. We were seated promptly and served within a reasonable time. I am sure as I continue to visit, my review will be updated.
google avatar

Lainie W.

Yelp
Amazingly fresh sushi and sashimi! We order from Sushi Tower once a week. Our favorites are the Dr. Cash (nice kick), salmon skin salad, yellowtail w/jalapeño (melts in your mouth), California roll (tastes so fresh), and the crispy rice with spicy tuna (perfect bite without the sauce)! They always deliver great food that is better quality than most in the area. Presentation of delivery is quality!

Yelp
I don't know why this place isn't packed all the time, but it's really should be advertised as sushi Tower and hibachi, but they do have a steakhouse vibe. They make the best screaming orgasm deconstructed roll I have ever had. Again I've mentioned this another post I try to replicate recipes I want to eat this stuff 24 hours a day, but I am unable to replicate so if anyone knows how to make a screaming oh, please give me the recipe I'm dying here. They are great for lunch and dinner, they have a sushi bar that you can cozy up to and get all the Nigiri you want. If there is a special type of role or combination that you're wanting to try or that's not on the menu, the sushi chefs are more than willing to oblige. The wait staff are courteous and keep them selves pretty much they'll take your order and only come by when they see your water low or if you flag him down. Pretty much every seat area is a booth except for the bar which is bar seating, and the hibachi area which of course is surrounded by chairs. I sneak away here for lunch whenever I can. It is absolutely incredible and I never mind dining alone :-)
google avatar

Wendi W.

Yelp
I was taken here on two dates by two different people so I knew it had to be good and it was ! Been a regular ever since. Service is always w a smile. Their Screaming O is the best in town. And be sure to try some SOJU! Better than sake!! This is my favorite sushi place!!

Yelp
I had high hopes for this place after reading the reviews, but we won't be returning. We walked in on a Saturday afternoon and were seated almost immediately. My germaphobe sensors were rattled as the menus and booth we sat it in weren't up to my par for cleanliness. We ordered bento boxes, the Kobe roll, and drinks. The bento boxes were fine but portions were much skimpier than we're used to. The Kobe roll was huge but we didn't care for the spicy sauce or the fact that the beef was much rarer than our preference. Service was friendly but we had to wait a really long time for drink refills (the place wasn't even half full). We were not impressed by our meal at all and the bill was fairly high considering it was lunch.

Yelp
So, the wife and I met up with our son, daughter-in-law and the grandkids here at Sushi Tower. Upon entering, I was pleasantly surprised by the modern, and very simple decor. From what I could see the place was clean, and very neat. I was very impressed by the Tepenyaki Grill in the middle of the floor, which is motivation to return and sample their grilled items. So, was the food good? Silly question, yes, Absolutely! I ordered the classic caterpillar roll, Monica Roll, and the Shrimp Tornado. Everything was fresh, and good. But... what set me back, and shocked my tastebuds Into submission, and made me think twice was the Screaming Orgasm Sauce. They also call it the Screaming O, or simply SO sauce. I couldn't get past how good the sauce was. It was so good, it made me keep eating even after I was full. But... the Tornado Sauce was equally good, and when I left I felt fat. So, if you want some good sushi, with sauce you can't get anywhere else, stop by Sushi Tower. The food is Fire!!! Yes I recommend, yes you should go and see for yourself, no you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
1st time out since the Quarantine and let me tell you they haven't skipped a beat!!! Same great service and lunch is still amazing Glad to be back and can't wait to be back again soon

Yelp
Ordered from this place from a hard recommendation of fellow coworkers. We ordered carry out and the person of the phone was friendly, when we picked up the food they were very friendly the restaurant was very clean! However when we got home we noticed we did not receive napkins, chop sticks or even utensils. Now to the food, we ordered the Monica, ultimate tuna, spicy ramen. The food was mediocre, was not bad however the tuna seemed to be a little Blan. The spices seemed to be similar with all the rolls. The ramen noodles were very spicy; but it was probably the best dish we ordered. For the price I was expecting much better.

Yelp
It's your middle of the road sushi spot. Decor inside is a bit outdated so my family doesn't like to come here, but as far as food goes, it's definitely good enough. I tend to get togos here for lunch. Price is pretty fair, and the menu is actually a lot. Like I mean a lot a lot. They got a huge menu from hibachi things to probably over a 100 sushi rolls. Service is always good. Nothing professional or anything, just more of a mom pop feel. Give them a try if you're feeling casual

Yelp
Very upset by the way we were treated-I've been going to sushi tower for 5 years now, we've always supported them even during Covid time. We still went to support them with masks on. They have a sign that says you can get 20% off on your birthday, so I decided we would go there for my birthday. When we came in, I told them that it was my birthday and we were celebrating it. There were four of us we got $210 worth of food and sake and when it came time to pay the bill we noticed that the 20% was not on there. We asked about it and they said you had to make a reservation and have preapproval for the 20% off for your birthday. None of this was posted anywhere. I am truly disappointed in them, they recognize us. they know us, we go in there all the time, and as much money that we have spent in there throughout all the years, you would think that they would stand by their 20% off on your birthday and give us the 20% off. Very disappointed. You have to care more about people then about money-also make sure you double check your bill because there were two errors on our bill. We were being charged for a couple things that we didn't even order. I will have to find a new sushi restaurant that appreciates our business.

Yelp
Solid good sushi. I came here for lunch and it was very good the fish was fresh the rolls looked pretty and service was good. I had the rainbow roll and it was average size and had krab stuffed in it. It was very good only thing that would make it better would be real crab but that's difficult to find in this city. The spicy tuna roll was excellent. I loved that it did not have any spicy mayo but the spicy taste came from wasabi mixed in it. The only thing that dragged this down to 4 stars is that there wasn't a lunch menu or any specials but still a solid good place for sushi.

Yelp
Soup was delicious and very flavorful. We ordered the lunch platter and everything was delicious. The tempura sauce really enhanced the flavor of the entire experience. Great find for sushi. They even have a seperate section of the restaurant for Benihana style cutlery. Will definitely have to come back for that . Atmosphere is not the best maybe 3 stars but the food makes up for that.

Yelp
We were at Ferguson's kitchen and bath store about a year ago and it was lunchtime so we happened in to this establishment. It was really good and, because they opened earlier than other sushi restaurants last week, we drove over there with our friends and everybody had a great time and the food was again, excellent.

Yelp
Come hungry! The sushi is so good here, it makes your eyes roll into the back of your head. The atmosphere is relaxed with a touch of authenticity. It's quite charming inside, and perfect for a sushi date night, or meeting up with friends. We came at the tail end of their lunch rush, and it was lively but not loud. If you prefer a quieter time, time-accordingly. Service was impeccable. I'm not sure if our server was the owner, but she was extremely friendly and helpful. She made suggestions based on our interests, and I'm pretty certain she is a mind reader because my glass was never empty. She was an absolute delight, personality wise, as well. I whole-lotta (its a word!) fun and all smiles. Make sure you ask for the special menu. They have special packages starting at $25 ; you get to choose 5 rolls for that price (sweet deal.) I highly recommend the tiger roll- omg phenom. Also, they have the best California roll I have ever had, so don't overlook it! Save room for dessert! They also have the absolute best mochi (the real stuff, not the American sherbet blend most places substitute!) I highly recommend the strawberry, although the green tea was good too. Their house sale was the yelp checkin deal. I'm so glad this prompted me to try it, because it was the icing on my sushi-cake! Definitely remember to take advantage of this deal, and then peruse their sake menu- great choices for sake lovers! Tip: there is underground parking here that is almost always empty. Escape the heat and park below! I honestly can't wait to come back here. This may just be my new favorite sushi joint!
