ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! They have all you can eat or they have a regular menu. We tried a few different rolls and they all were amazing. Chicken teriyaki, mix tempura, and fried ice cream were all great as well. Service was excellent too! We will definitely be coming back here!

The toy train delivery gimmick was very cute. The all-you-can eat menu was fantastic, especially for the price. The service was exceptional. The staff was very kind and attentive. I'll definitely be coming back!

I love everything about this place. The dinner choices for all you can eat option were all so good, filling, and fresh. I also ordered the tempura green tea ice cream and it was absolutely amazing. Sweet staff, fun environment, and delicious food.

Went there for dinner AYCE with hubby. Sushi are delicious and our waiter is super nice. The selection list is kinda long that it took us for a while to decide what to order. Lol. For dinner, we can order most of specialty rolls. If not on that piece of paper, you can just write on memo area. I think 2-3 special rolls does cost extra but since we have so many options, it doesn't really matter. We did order other dishes and dessert (not part of AYCE menu)on the top of AYCE. They all taste really good. Definitely will come back! The downside probably is inside a little bit outdated but food is good so i can ignore that part😝😝😝

I had one of the best dining experiences here. I brought my six-year-old with me and the hostess went above and beyond to make sure we had a seat next to the train, and made her kid friendly chop sticks. Our waiter was quick and polite, and the sushi chefs not only made amazing sushi, but also brought the experience alive. Sushi was amazing and overall 10 out of 10! Thank you so much!

Google
Yummy sushi and great atmosphere. Such a fun place for kids seeing a mini train doing sushi drops! We will go back again for sure.

Google
If you’re looking for a unique and entertaining all-you-can-eat sushi experience, this place absolutely delivers—literally! I sat at the bar and was delighted to find that all the sushi comes out on a tiny train car that zips right to your seat. It’s such a fun twist and makes the whole meal feel like an experience, not just dinner. The sushi itself is fresh, well-prepared, and comes out quickly. The variety is impressive, from classic rolls to creative chef specials. The AYCE menu is generous, and the portions are just right, so you can try a bit of everything without overloading too fast. The staff were friendly and efficient, and the place felt clean and well-run even when it was busy. Sitting at the bar definitely adds to the fun—highly recommend it if you want the full “train delivery” experience. Perfect for date night, a casual hang with friends, or even solo if you want good sushi and a smile. I’ll definitely be coming back!

We accidentally parked in the "back" so we tried to go around to the opposite side which we thought would be the front. But it was a side entrance. Lol. Upon entering, the restaurant seem dark and dirty. We sat at the bar because that's where the choo choo train was that delivered the sushi. We were given a full menu and a paper menu to mark our items on. For the lunch price of $19.99, you're not entitled to any of the specialty roles unless you pay $3 extra per roll. I won't be coming back for lunch if I ever come back. Dinner is obviously the better value if you like specialty rolls, AKA the high priced rolls. I ordered two individual pieces and the rice was quite dry and the octopus was chewy. The California rolls that we ordered had rice that was a bit more moist but still not what it should be. All of the rolls were pretty boring and pretty basic for the lunch menu price except for the Hampton roll which, surprise, was warm, but it had two different sauces on it that finally had some flavor. The fried tempura was heavily coated and very greasy. Traditional Japanese tempura should not be greasy. The first round of fried tempura included perfectly cooked shrimp, but the second round had overcooked shrimp. The edamame was good. The gyoza was okay and super scalding as it just came out of the fryer. The chicken katsu was crunchy but not very tasty and the beef teriyaki was tasty but a little dry and overcooked. There were no desserts on the all you can eat menu. Again, not bad for 20 bucks a person for all you can eat but not delicious. I left full though because I didn't want to pay for my leftovers. We only got to experience the train one time. The the rest of the time the sushi chefs just handed us our food over the counter which was disappointing because we went for the train experience. Also, it didn't appear that the chefs were well trained. It look like amateur hour behind the bar. Two of them were brand new and were asking very bizarre questions. None of the five people behind the bar were sociable enough to even say a single word to us. And the two waiters didn't seem like they were able to communicate with the men behind the bar. It was an uncomfortable atmosphere for sure.

Yelp
This particular night the food here was on fire!! Nigiri tuna, yellow tail, and salmon were fresh and so flavorful! The tuna was melt-in-your-mouth tender. We also ordered a few rolls that were great tasting. The real show-stopper for me was the baked mussels with spicy mayo. These mussels were some of the best I have ever had :) 30.00 for all-you-can-eat with a few extra dollars for specialty rolls is a fantastic price for this quality sushi. Our waiter was patient, attentive, and helpful. He made sure our drinks were filled with our orders coming out promptly! This was 5-star experience for me!

Yelp
All you can eat sushi lunch is $19.95. I do not recommend Sushi Train near Hampden and I-25. Ordered the lunch combo of 6 nigiri and a California roll, with salad and miso soup. Price $14 The sushi pieces were not well-formed, kind of loosely put together. The nigiri did not look as fresh as I have had at other places. They tasted fine, nothing bad and nothing special. The presentation was meh. I was looking forward to the sushi being delivered via a train locomotive that goes aroumd the sushi bar. You know, like the name of the restaurant Sushi Train. No, there is no train to bring around the sushi. Well, actually, around the sushi bar there were tracks and two railcars on the track. However, it looked as though it hadn't been in operation for a long while. The building exterior is old and rough, and the paint was peeling really badly. Parking lot is full of potholes. Not much better on the inside. It was dark and dim. The decor and furniture are outdated. There was plenty of space though, so that is good. What an odd setting for a sushi place. The service was okay. Too many were waiting around to do something, anything. There were four sushi chefs and four servers for peak lunch hours. 5-8 tables, no big groups. Two chefs stood there, not doing anything. Our waiter didn't even wait for me to eat my last bite to ask if I was done with the meal. Was it busy that they needed my table? Was it neat closing time? Nothing like that at all. It was so that he could clear a plate away. He was that eager to get to do something. I was taken by surprise by how ...inappropriate it was to do that. I had a piece of sushi halfway to mouth! He cleared the plate and immediately returned with the check as if to kick us out fast fast fast. It wasn't a busy lunch hour, and there wasn't anyone who was waiting to be seated. I don't think his intention was to rush us out of there. He just wanted to do something. It's just that the way he went about it was very rude. He did apologize after I brought it to his attention. Overall, lunch at Sushi Train was not a good experience. I usually try to find something positive to say. My water glass was swiftly filled whenever I took a sip. The salad was bigger than other restaurants. The location is convenient to get to from the highway.

Yelp
This is my go-to place for all-you-can-eat sushi. The lunch special is ~$20, and I think ~$30 for dinner. **If you are into quality fish, go all-you-can-eat but JUST get nigiri. And maybe the sesame balls or fried jalapeño.** The rolls unfortunately always make me feel gross, since most of them have spiced mayo, cream cheese, or are fried. For the nigiri - which tastes best depends on the day, so I like to start out ordering one of each and go from there! Sitting at the bar with the train is cute, but not necessary on a regular basis. My friend with kids loves this place - pretty sure they eat for free under the age of 2.

Yelp
I don't think you go for the ambiance or super high quality sushi but this is a fun family night and a killer all-you-can-eat deal too. Lots of deferred maintenance on building make it appear closed or condemned but alas, it's open! Staff are lovely too.
google avatar

Yelp
Such a a great value! We have been taking our son here since he was two. It's great for families and the service is so quick in case little ones have a small bandwidth for dining. We love the creative rolls and the generous menu! Service is always 10/10 too.
google avatar

Yelp
Came here for lunch with a co-worker at the end of the week. The place is fun with a train brining the prepared food around the sushi bar (pretty cool). We did the all you can eat where you can select from the list of sushi items. The quality was pretty good and with the all you can eat, very filling. Fun place to bring people and get the sushi train delivery experience.
google avatar

Yelp
Where will you go if your family is craving for all you can eat sushi with a decent price? Sushi Train was in our search. The place looks very old fancy and run down. Sushi came pretty quick, and everything was very average. Would recommend if you want average-decent sushi with a good price. Just do not expect anything special.
google avatar

Jane R.

Yelp
Adequate all you can eat sushi restaurant. The fish was good but not spectacular, naturally there was a lot of rice and not a lot of fish. We didn't realize that all the specialty rolls were on the menu, so missed out on that during the first round of all you can eat order. I enjoyed the soft shell crab roll, salmon, and so many other things! We were all definitely stuffed at the end of the meal. The service was prompt and efficient. The restaurant was older, and looked worn, but can't be too picky for the excellent prices! This is definitely some of the least expensive sushi we could locate, but disappointed that it was not a conveyor belt sushi place as we had hoped.

Beck W.

Yelp
The train is adorable and I love doing all you can eat! Everyone is so nice and love helping us find new foods to try!
google avatar

Kitty B.

Yelp
Surprisingly decent! The sushi was good, considering lunch has a $19.99 all you can eat sushi special it was great! The train is fun but often they just handed it over the bar rather than on the train and only people at the bar get the train experience. The rolls have a ton of rice, so much that you can't fit a roll in your mouth. That seems to be the way they try and get you full!
google avatar

Lauren H.

Yelp
This place was nice! The prices were comparable, food was delicious! There was so much chicken teriyaki that I had leftovers for lunch the next day! The service was there when we needed while also keeping their distance to not bother you during your meal!

Wendy L.

Yelp
The atmosphere was either dark or ultra bright white LED - nothing appealing about it. It felt dirty though I didn't see grime, it just felt that way. The outside was dingy as well. That all said, the food was fine but after all of these appearances, I was hesitant to order anything raw.

Annie Y.

Yelp
Really good sushi! The kids loved the delivery by train and the All You Can Eat lunch is a great deal! It's a little run down and could use some fixing up but overall still awesome!

Yelp
My family and I came here for dinner on a Saturday night and it was not too packed. Our party of six was seated immediately. We love coming here whenever we're in the area. Dinner AYCE for adults is $30.99 and for children 4 and older is $15.99. They have a great selection to choose from. Everything we order is always good, we never leave disappointed. They're pretty quick on bringing your food to the table as well. Service is always great and they consistently come by your table to make sure everything is okay. We've also been here for their lunch AYCE which is $19.99 for adults and half of that for children. I definitely recommend coming to this restaurant if you're in the mood for sushi.

Yelp
Oh my gosh even if you can't do their amazing all you can eat their rolls are still good independently. They don't skip on the fish with the all you can eat it's so good! I think we literally go here once a month with all of our friends even their apps are delicious.

Justine R.

Yelp
Small hidden gem of a sushi restaurant, nigiri always tastes great and fresh (the salmon and white tuna especially) and you can't beat the price for all you can eat. If you get lucky enough to sit in the center, the train brings you sushi which is pretty cute and quirky. There's also never a long wait to get seated, so food comes fast!
google avatar

Miles D.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious!! The sushi and anything that doesn't have to be cooked not only is made in front of you, but it TASTES like it's freshly made in front of you, and is delivered directly to you on a cute toy train. The slices of sushi are not too big, they're perfectly proportioned. The entrees are small so you can order more and SO delicious! It's a pretty small and quaint, "hole-in-the-wall" type of atmosphere, and I went at lunchtime. Very chill and relaxed environment. The staff was very kind and attentive about clearing your station of empty plates. I would absolutely go again, it's some of the best food I've had in a while.

Yelp
The sushi is very good and the staff is great. The place is completely trashed on the outside, with peeling paint on rotted wood shingles. The parking lot is full of holes and there is trash from the transients who hang out at the Goodwill next door, strewn about the perimeter. One of the front doors is permanently locked and inoperable, which seems like it should be a fire code violation? If you didn't know better, you would think the building was abandoned. I will never understand why they don't fix up the building it is in, since I suspect the exterior is a turn-off for many people who would otherwise consider going in. On the inside, however, it is fairly nice and the sushi chefs are top-notch. Don't let the decrepit building on the outside fool you. The place is a hidden gem on the inside. Try the veggie crunch rolls... delicious!

Yelp
Mixed experiences. My sister initially recommended Sushi Train, when she came over to help me - at our dad's house (which I inherited), after our dad's death, and we needed Scotch & sushi to process paperwork, as we started handling his estate together, last October. Given I haven't lived in CO for 20-yrs, and know my preferred sushi places in San Francisco & Washington, D.C., I trusted her recommendation, that we order Sushi Train from GrubHub (they do not accept DoorDash). She ordered once for us - last October. I've ordered 5 times since then, the past year, and I've picked it up vs. deliver it ~3 times. This totals +/- 10 times in the past year, almost once per month. I was happily ordering the "My Boyfriend" roll, which my sister loves & recommended, along with my choice of the "Aspen" roll - religiously. Until the last time, I came down with food poisoning. Now I'm scared to return, and have been getting my sushi from Whole Foods, if not going to Sushi Den. I'd prefer for this issue to be remedied, as this place is closer to my house. Alas, here is my attempt to remedy it. I hope the business owner contacts me, and looks into this matter. Thank you.

Yelp
Great sushi and some of the best All You Can Eat sushi for the price. ESPECIALLY at lunch time!!
google avatar

Karen A.

Yelp
Located in a strip mall on E Hamden the place is very rundown needing paint. I couldn't move myself to go in if they were dirty on the outside. It says a lot as neglecting the inside and the quality of their food. This needs to change a new owner. Sad but true
google avatar

Michael-Spencer Z.

Yelp
Amazing food every time!!!! Amazingly quick delivery!! Good service and reliable - comfy dining good Ayce sushi for the price
google avatar

Linh N.

Yelp
This review is for the all you can eat portion. What I really didn't like is you see all the pictures on Yelp for the rolls but it looks nothing like the ones in the photos! You only get the good looking rolls when it's not AYCE. All the rolls we ordered looked and tasted like those free California rolls that come in a combo. I would give it a 1/5. The baked mussels were good. 4/5. The agedashi tofu was kinda too lemony but ok. 3/5. Now for the main star, the nigiri. Some fish were very good. Hamachi. Yellow tail. Tuna and salmon were average. The scallop ones were really disappointing because it looked so good in one of the pictures on Yelp. Definitely feels like this place cheaps out. No sashimi. Better rolls have an upcharge. Maybe if you come, stick to the not AYCE portion.
google avatar

Gary S.

Yelp
There is a fine line between quality and price, and unfortunately they have lowered their quantity that it is not worth the price.. We used to enjoy this place and was a decent sushi place, not so much this time lower quality and run down some. Sushi makers were not as skilled as before, not bad just way to much rice.
google avatar

Brittney C.

Yelp
Pretty filling! Nice sized sushi rolls Only they have an hour max sitting time so I'm not sure that they have all you can eat

James T.

Yelp
The food was ok. The big problem was i ordered sushi, picked it up, drove 10 minutes home, opened it and there was no soy sauce or wasabi
google avatar

Hannah D.

Yelp
Here's a good look at the menu!! Great sushi spot!! Definitely should check it out!!!!
google avatar

Shannon C.

Yelp
This is the go to place!! It's super tasty and you get your moneys worth if you order correctly. Stick to minimal rolls and get lots of the single items. The seared tuna is truly one of the best things I've ever eaten. We get like 20 of them when we go. This place truly is the best. Super friendly staff and hardly ever busy.
google avatar

Jane R.

Yelp
I went to Sushi Train for AYCE lunch on Friday, which was at the fantastic price of $16.99. At this price, I have to say I was really impressed by the All You Can Eat sushi quality and the level of service that facilitates a smooth AYCE experience. Tables were appropriately spaced apart that gave us comfort with dining inside and our servers were really attentive, allowing us to order within two min of us wanting to do so. Be careful that they do charge for leftover sushi, so order as you go along. I recommend getting the nigiri pieces, especially the hamachi, which I thought was seared nicely and topped with a jalapeno and tasty sauce, the eel which was actually quite well flavored, and the mackerel (if you like the fishiness of mackerel, which I personally LOVE) because I thought it was surprisingly fresh. The rolls were good, but nothing particularly special about them with a decent rice to filling ratio. The spicy tuna/salmon felt a bit lower quality than other rolls and personally, the fried specialty rolls seemed too heavy/filling for an AYCE endeavor. Overall, definitely recommend checking out Sushi Train when you're looking for more bang for your buck and looking to satisfy your sushi craving in a bigger way.
google avatar

Shalee O.

Yelp
Good sushi selection for all you can eat but don't let your eyes become bigger than your stomach! I went to this spot with my sister and her 10 year old twins and we definitely ordered more than we could eat. To start we ordered miso soup, edamame, and the jalapeño bites and they were all amazing! For rolls we ordered shrimp tempura, spicy tuna, rainbow roll, and the kids each ordered a California roll. Also these include an entree which I ordered the chicken teriyaki and thankfully they forgot about it after bringing the sushi because I had no more room to fit anything in my stomach. My suggestion would be to skip the apps and order maybe one or two rolls with your entree and if you are still hungry after you can order more. They charge you by the piece if you don't finish your food and will charge you a take home cost if if you prefer that. Great place otherwise and the staff is super friendly!
google avatar

Chanh S.

Yelp
We got the all you can eat sushi and it was a great deal! The food came really fast and the service was amazing! Please just don't tell too many ppl about this place cause I like that it wasn't crowded.

Josie C.

Yelp
Food was great and the server was delightful. We would appreciate some kind of padding for the chairs because they are terribly uncomfortable. The front doors really need a more welcoming appearance! They made us feel like turning around and not going in. But again, the food and service were great. Bring a poofy coat to sit on!
google avatar

Ethan M.

Yelp
I keep trying to get myself to like sushi, but I have yet to try some that makes me say "wow". When I saw how many veggie options Sushi Train has, I thought for sure that I would find something amazing. I tried the Futo Roll which was packed with 7 different vegetables - some I'd never heard of before. It was pretty good, but kind of bland just like other sushis I've had. It was pretty reasonably priced though at $8. If you're vegan and you like sushi, I would recommend this The place definitely does not have an authentic feel. There is some Japanese themed decor but overall it felt very American. They were playing American dance music as well which felt kinda weird. The bar area looked really cool though. The staff overall did a great job of keeping the place clean and complying with regulations.
google avatar

Jordan Z.

Yelp
This is our new fave sushi spot!!!! The Itamae chefs were amazing, service was also great. We have been there twice now and both times were great. All you can eat $16.99
google avatar

Yelena F.

Yelp
Do not come! Never saw that much rice. Server confirmed with us twice that they will charge for left overs, now we know why.... we just got up and left this place without touching those rolls. Also they offer sushi only, no sashimi. Menu is very limited for all u can eat as well. Place us very dirty as well. All u can eat rice place:)
google avatar

The Angry P.

Yelp
Not a conveyor belt sushi. Train only runs around the bar. WAY overpriced and the service is sketchy. Won't be back
google avatar

Erin S.

Yelp
Everything is fresh and sushi rice is flavorful! Our favorite thing on their menu is definitely the grilled salmon collar. It takes a while to come out, but you can't rush perfection. Thanks for the years of consistency!!!!

Tim T.

Yelp
This is a neat place that has great service. If you are sitting at the bar your sushi is delivered by a little train. At the tables by a server. It's not just all you can eat sushi, almost their entire menu is included. The food is good considering the $20 per person cost at lunch. Their policy is if you don't eat it all you have to pay for it. The service is very quick, so I would just order small quantities and order more later if you want it.

Sutton K.

Yelp
food is immaculate and the vibes are great . a cute train brings u sushi and all the items are named after funny things (like bf and gf role) okay this concludes my review please go there xoxoxo
google avatar

Jen F.

Yelp
What a fun concept! I love sushi and I've seen the conveyor belt sushi places but this is a whole new, fun concept! First tip - sit at the sushi bar to get the full experience. There's plenty of seating, probably at least 10-15 spots and they socially distance everyone. Second - come hungry! Because it's AYCE and you want to get your money's worth!! So when you order the sushi, the rolls come out on a train! The sushi chefs control the car to come around from the kitchen and stop right in front of you with whatever you ordered. If you order a few rolls, they come with multiple carts attached on the caboose. However you can also order just a few pieces. I ordered a single piece of salmon nigiri and it was so cute to see the train come out with just one piece of fish. Such a fun concept. And great sushi! Definitely will be back :)

Victoria H.

Yelp
Came for lunch and had a good experience. Not too much rice was used in rolls and nigiri. Sushi came out very fast when sat at the bar. Baked mussels were good. Miso soup was good. Sushi rice was seasoned just enough. I ordered too much and they did not charge me for the leftover rice which was nice. Will definitely be back for dinner
google avatar

April W.

Yelp
Best sushi ever! I swear I'm addicted to the right sushi place Yummy if you like sushi you have to stop by
google avatar

Ashley A.

Yelp
The best sushi I have had honestly! AND it's all you can eat if you get it! Their all you can eat sushi menu is phenomenal, the customer service is also just as great. I cannot recommend this place enough. we drove over 75 miles just to be able to come and dine here and it was absolutely worth it. it will be hard going to another sushi place after coming here that's for sure :)
google avatar

Lilly T.

Yelp
Absolutely love this place! Customer service is spot on! From the very first time I went to every time after I get the same service. They have all you can eat also! Super great deal and even better sushi! Stop by if you ever have the chance.
google avatar

Hanan G.

Yelp
Waked our after not being served at all !! No water and not even a 'Hello, I will be with you in a minute' @ 15 minutes. That's a long time. 2-3 minutes is about right. BLAH I wish it was better because I need variety close to home. Would you like me to manage your restaurant because I could do a damn good job. I would be glad to take an interview.
google avatar

Jazmin C.

Yelp
If you're looking for an AYCE sushi spot- look no further. They have a large menu to choose from (preggo options too) and their sushi and sashimi options are good too. Their staff is really nice and accommodating if you have kids with you.
google avatar

Ben K.

Yelp
We really wanted to rate this place higher but it's def a mixed bag. Food - 3/5 The quality of the fish was decent but the fish on the nigiri was way too thin. I didn't know if you could cut fish that thin. Also they put way too much rice in their pieces and rolls. Service - 4/5 The servers there are friendly and the sushi chef was really awesome and accommodating. Decor - 1/5 When we walk up to the front, I was wondering if it was even opened b/c it looked that dilapidated from the outside. Going inside, it isn't much better. A fresh coat of paint both inside and out would make a big difference! The train was cool. It was a fun way to get the food.
google avatar

Diane Kholos W.

Yelp
Went for the all you can eat this afternoon. I thought it was pretty bad. They put very little fish on the sushi and it's mostly rice. I couldn't eat that much rice. F words I just felt sick over the whole meal. It was only 16.99 but I'm still not sure it's worth it.
google avatar

Laura T.

Yelp
We have been here plenty of times. It's been a great place to enjoy some 'all you can eat' sushi. Overall, it tastes great and service is good. It's easy to get in as well. There isn't any one sushi roll that I have to have but I do enjoy their food. Sometimes it takes a while to order but overall it's a pleasant experience every time we have eaten here.
