"This is how we remember it: the chef at work behind the old-time sushi counter, in the customer’s line of sight. ‘Sushi is a traditional cuisine of Japan’, says Yuya Nishimura. True to the food culture of Osaka, which prizes freshness above all, Nishimura seeks out the finest of the catch at Kuromon Market with the eyes of a seasoned connoisseur. The ‘Yu’ in ‘Yuden’ is a Chinese character meaning ‘calm’ or ‘everlasting’. Nishimura carries on the traditions, techniques and spirit of sushi with a style indelibly his own." - Michelin Inspector

This place absolutely earns 5 stars in our heart! The service was really really good. The chef and his assistants were very attentive, entertaining, and listening to their customers. (Yes we love that they interacted with all customers, which made it fun and engaging) They definitely customized our omakase meals based on our responses and tastes. The food itself was 100% wonderful, fresh, and delicious. Highly recommend!!!

We had a dinner with a choice of a 25-course Omakase set. The chef and his assistants were very kind, they explained everything in detail and showed pictures on tablets, they were very hospitable. All the dishes were delightful due to their well-balanced richness and combination of flavors. The world of sushi was shown from all sides. This was the first sushi restaurant in Japan that we visited, and it set the bar very high. We did not get comparable sushi quality anywhere else. I highly recommend this place if you have the opportunity to go there.

We had the best experience here last night!!! Can't even explain how good it was I've eaten omakase all over the world and all high end but there's just something about Japan! The rice wasn't particularly my favourite to be honest. But the quality of the fish cannot be beaten. The service was amazing we felt like a family to them. At our counter there was only locals sitting there which speaks volume about the establishment Will be back and highly recommend !!

Easily the best omakase we had on our trip to Japan. Super fresh fish, perfectly cooked and seasoned shari, and an amazing vibe thanks to the super kind staff and the talented sushi master Yuya. The sake pairings were also spot on and really took the whole experience to another level.

Super friendly staff and amazing service level from this Michelin star omakese. However that being said, something felt left to be desired considering the price tag vs the food quality/quantity. 33,000Y for the 20 piece course was a bit steep compared to other options. Reservation required in advanced.

Fresh fish and tasty flavors. Main chef was humorous and made everything himself with only some assistance. Chef was very considerate about English speaking customers so offered iPad and google information to make sure everyone understands the fish name and look well. Showed us the large toro piece, introduced about wasabi making process, etc. One young chef spoke English too. Only disadvantage was the booking fee too high.

Amazing omakase sushi. Really good with allergy issues for gluten and nuts. They show you pictures of all the unusual fish they serve. Very cool

Located in a quieter part of Osaka, Sushi Yuden is such a gem! The chefs were friendly and the attention to detail was top notch. For me, a Michelin restaurant must prove itself on its service. My family member was sniffling a bit on that day due to the cold and when the chef noticed this, he called the server to bring us a box of tissues. When my family member stepped out of the restaurant for a while to blow his nose so as to not disturb other diners, the server ran out with an ashtray thinking that he went out for a smoke break! This really shows that they care and want to ensure their diners have the best and most comfortable experience possible. Each dish was prepared and executed perfectly. At the end of the meal, we even stayed back for a while and had a lovely chat with the chefs. Will definitely visit again when I’m back in Osaka!
