There’s a reason this place has so many high ratings! Literally obsessed and will be coming back again. It’s Family-owned, incredibly warm, and the service is truly top tier. I’m talking attentive, kind, and fun without ever feeling overbearing! The fish was fresh and so well prepared. I had the scallop nigiri and smoked salmon nigiri (3 pieces per order which I loved), and everything was perfect. They were super accommodating with food allergies and even included a complimentary salad that was light and fresh. My friends loved their rolls and the karaage chicken. Easily a 10/10 and a must-visit. ◡̈

Best Japanese cuisine I've had in Milwaukee in some time. Clean, inviting space. Just enough elegance without being cheesy. Excellent service and knowledge of the menu. Japanese chef was intense and definitely controlled the scene - which I appreciate. House saki cold on point. Lots of whiskey to choose from. Excellent. Great for date night or just go and get a belly full of goodness.

Sushi Yuki was simply amazing! if I could give it 11 stars I would. the atmosphere is incredible, the food is the freshest most wonderful sushi I have had (and I have had a lot) but even more than that the people are genuinely kind people. the owner and staff made my Birthday so special and it was the perfect ending to the day! i will absolutely be coming back. thank you thank you! if you haven’t tried Sushi Yuki RUN! perfect spot for a Birthday, Anniversary, date night or any night you just don’t want to cook! lea was THE BEST!

Traveling from out of town. The service was super friendly, and our waitress in training did a great job! The edamame was good—just a bit too salty for my taste but still better than some other places I’ve been to. The sushi, however, tasted a bit too fishy for me, which was disappointing considering it’s listed as one of the best sushi restaurants in 2025. Overall, a decent spot, but I probably wouldn’t come back.

Fatasmical! Literally a 10/10 date night. Sushi is delicious, drinks are a total yum, and my heart is totally in with the waitress we had, Lea!!! You are so sweet and super fun. I had the crazy winter roll, and it was crazalicious! The veggies tempura was well made, the veggies were not too soft and not too raw, and was well encased in the tempura. Ahh, just treat yourself to a wonderful night out already!!! 🥰

This was our first trip to Sushi Yuki and it was wonderful! Food and service was top notch and our server Violet was fantastic! We will definitely be back! We had the rainbow roll, sweet potato roll, crunchy spicy salmon roll, and volcano roll.

THE best sushi restaurant in Milwaukee, and it’s not close. I’m a huge sushi fan and have eaten sushi all over the world and this place comes close to some of the very best in the world. I’m not one to use hyperbole, I just really love this place and want it to go strong because there are a lot of higher profile places that just can’t compare. If you love sushi, this is the place for you. The interior is sleek and modern and has a terrific ambiance. The service is terrific too, the family that runs it took the time to get to know us after the we went there a couple weeks in a row 😅. See you guys soon!

My boyfriend and I went to Sushi Yuki for the first time this evening and had an AMAZING experience! Lea was our server and she did an incredible job! The restaurant was busier than normal but Lea and the rest of the staff did a great job handling things and making sure everyone was taken care of. The food was fabulous and the prices are perfectly reasonable! Our entire dinner with sake was under 100.00! That’s a VERY hard thing to find in 2025! 10/10 absolutely recommend and we’ll be back!

This is hands down the BEST sushi Milwaukee. This place deserves to be packed to the brim with guests 24/7 with how amazing everything is here every single time I visit, however it usually has very open availability! I have yet to be disappointed, and this is with East coast omakase in mind. My partner and I ordered the Blooming Flower Roll, Large Yuki Nigiri, Oklahoma roll, and miso soup for food. For drink we ordered the Melon Sour and medium Nigori. Everything was phenomenal, and so much so, that we ordered an additional salmon belly nigiri to finish the night off. The service was amazing. Our server paced the food extremely well and checked in with perfect timing. The drinks came out extremely quick and the nigori especially paired well with the nigiri. I have been to Sushi Yuki several times in the past and I swear it gets better with every visit. This will absolutely continue to be my go to spot for sushi in Milwaukee.

Probably the best quality sushi in Bay View but you're going to pay a little extra for that quality but I think it's worth it. We had the veggie tempura and three various rolls. Loved the tempura with huge pieces of broccoli and other veggies. Service was friendly and we got our food relatively quick. The rolls were so fresh I couldn't believe the quality I was tasting in the Midwest!

Such a special place for all special occasions! We instantly felt welcomed and at home here. Upon entering the restaurant we were greeted and gave our names for our reservation. We went early evening on a Friday, and reservations were recommended. It wasn't overly busy and felt very relaxing inside. The inside is beautiful and the entire staff was kind and welcoming. Sae is seriously THE best at her job! We had so much fun with her the entire visit and would've loved to just have her join us. She gave incredible recommendations and made us feel like part of the family. She shows so much pride is working there and truly represented the restaurant with ownership and know-how. As for the sushi, hands down in the top of any I've ever had, and trust me this body was made by sushi . And even better, the incredible price point. I was shocked at how fresh, flavorful, and quality the food was for comparable prices to other sushi places that are barely passable. We ordered the salmon cheek as an appetizer; this was beautifully cooked to perfection and a rare site for a menu. A true mark of a professional kitchen of this cuisine using the whole fish in this way. They truly honored the salmon and all it's worth. I ordered the salmon set, and my spouse a house roll and the blooming flower roll. Everything was served promptly and correctly. Our drinks were beautifully made, fresh, and unique. Plus their house sauce/dressing? Simply divine. We're so glad we were gifted a visit here, and we can't wait to make it a regular date night here.

Had a lovely evening at Sushi Yuki. Went there for my friend's birthday and the service was outstanding! Our server, Sae, was the sweetest! We laughed and had so much fun. The food was really tasty and the complimentary mango mochi ice cream dessert was the perfect ending to the meal. It's the decorated so beautifully inside with gorgeous pottery you eat out of. Love it!

I ordered the chefs special roll and it was so damn good. Roasted tuna and so many other things-- I can't remember bc I'm slightly wasted. (I ordered the melon sour (yum))

My friend and I had reservations at 4:30 right when they opened, we were greeted immediately and sat down promptly. Service was great -- our server Cam was attentive and fun to banter with. Ambience was nice and the noise level was loud enough to be bustling but quiet enough you could enjoy a conversation. We ordered the seaweed salad, ika salad, and four sushi rolls. All were delicious and tasted very different from each other. We were surprised at how much you could taste the char from the Anniversary roll, it was a unique experience. Would definitely come back here and have already told quite a few friends to go check it out!

Our server had great energy. We were a very large group, for which we did have a reservation, and they seemed a little overwhelmed. The food is very yummy though and the sake martini was nothing like I had ever tried before. Overall would go again.

We went on a Saturday evening right before their dinner rush and were able to get sat at the bar. The bartender and chef behind the bar were friendly and attentive to what we were looking for and craving. They had really good sashimi and nigiri that was the star of the show. Overall the food was fresh and tasty. The restaurant was really nice inside with a lot of cultural decor. I cannot wait to go back and check out their patio when the weather is warmer.

The food was super good! Sushi and sashimi was delicious and the customer service from our service was 5 stars! The place is super fun and they were all super friendly with my 3 kids.. so definitely coming back!

A lovely spot in Bay View for some vegan and vegetarian sushi...and the other kind too. They have a beautiful back patio (that is currently not open due to being fogged for gnats) and the interior is very pretty too. We had the most friendly and knowledgeable waitress who was very patient with us as we asked a million questions. She made the best recommendations and we all thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and drinks. The salad with the sesame dressing was super small, but very delicious. I wish I'd had a larger portion, it was that good. I had the Asparagus rolls and Avocado rolls. I don't usually order gin cocktails, but this one came with a side shot of lemon juice and when you added it to the glass, the drink changed color somewhat. I never order dessert in restaurants, but my friend insisted I try some of hers, and the waitress assured us it was vegan, so I gave it a try. Really, really good! Not too sweet, and interesting texture, like gelatin (but not gelatin 'cuz that's not vegan). Totally recommend this lovely restaurant for my vegan compatriots. And the rest of you, too.

Phenomenal apps, drinks and sushi. To top it off, the service is exceptional from bartender to busser - even the chef personally thanked us for stopping. Looking for good food and vibes? This is the place.

I want to preface this review by saying that I have a go-to sushi place that I go to on a near weekly basis that I think is as good as it gets in terms of ambiance, quality, service and price. So, when I go to any other sushi restaurant, I compare it to this standard. Sushi Yuki was good but I think they are still getting their feet underneath them as a new restaurant. I'm looking forward to going back in a few months or so as I think it'll be better than what I had on this visit. The pros: I loved the space and ambiance. Really well done for a new restaurant. I was driving this night and so I didn't have a drink but the drink menu looks fantastic and I can't wait to try it. Service was good and attentive. As far as the food goes, I was a bit underwhelmed. Me, my fiancee and my daughter (age 9) ordered four rolls while my son and mother-in-law ordered shrimp teriyaki and chicken teriyaki respectively. The sushi order was in the picture attached to my review. My first thought when it came to the table is that we were missing one of the four rolls but we were assured there were three on the plate. In terms of quality, I think the biggest issue was that the flavors were very similar across all rolls despite the descriptions being very different. Four rolls was not enough for two adults and a child and so we ordered a fifth roll (crazy winter) and it, too, was underwhelming. I tried both teriyakis and the flavor was pretty one note and the veggies seemed like maybe they weren't fresh. Both of the people that ordered the teriyakis liked them though. Also, my daughter liked the sushi and so I think this is a good place to come with kids and the definitely felt welcome.

Highlights 1) Easy Take Out 2) Friendly Service 3) Great Food So happy Sushi Yuki is finally open and in the neighborhood! I placed a pick up order over the phone on a Sunday night and found it to be super fast and easy. I ordered 4 sushi rolls and was told my order would be ready in 15 minutes. I arrived about 20 minutes later and everything was packaged and ready to go. Service was super friendly both on the phone and when I picked up. A note on parking - I don't believe there is a parking lot. Parking on KK can be hard but there are tons of side streets with free parking if you are ok walking a block or two. My rolls were awesome! Everything was really fresh and flavorful. 10/10 will be back!

This was our first time here and we will definitely be back! Our server was super nice and the food was great. We started off with complementary salads and tried the pork gyoza and it was delicious. We also got an Alaskan Roll, Spider Roll and the udon and would recommend all of them!

This is a new place in bay view that is promising! I had sushi and another person at our table had teriyaki chicken. I'd say the sushi (particularly the freshness of the fish) is the restaurants strong suit. The chicken teriyaki was cold and dry. That part was disappointing. The cocktail that we tried which was supposed to be made with gin did not taste like liquor at all, so probably decently diluted. There was a complementary salad before our meal which was nice. The service was great, our wait staff were very attentive and pleasant. The prices were also reasonable. I would return for sushi but that's probably it!

The vibe was comfortable and cute! I ordered a Hokkaido roll, a Honey Snow roll and 1 piece of nigiri (I forget what kind of tuna but it was delicious). The server was great and answered any questions we had about the menu. I'd definitely go back!

Got there late for a quick glass of wine and appetizer. Owners and staff super awesome, friendly, and didn't give us a hard time about walking in close to closing time. Some places do until they know you're not ordering a full menu. Awesome ambience- good selection. Amazing cuts of sashimi. Red wine has one really great choice: not a Josh cellars fan but the other reds were fantastic- had to try them!

I really wanted to like this place! My boyfriend and I came in for a 6pm reservation on a Friday night. They weren't packed, but there was a decent amount of tables filled. Our beers arrived after 30 minutes and it took over an hour 15 minutes to get our food. The server was apologetic and did explain that our sushi would be "a few minutes longer"--I didn't realize she meant 60 minutes longer! We ordered the Green Sky roll, Orange County roll, and Princess roll. By the time we got our rolls they were unfortunately soggy and the rice was beyond chewy. It was really saddening. The Green Sky in particular arrived cold, overwhelmingly soaked in Ponzu, and again, the rice texture was hard to get through. I could only eat 1 piece. Our server was great and the ambiance was nice but it just took forever to get anything and we were disappointed once we did. Not sure if it was just an off night? The couple next to us who had been waiting even longer received complementary miso soup for the wait, so it was nice to see they were aware of the unfortunate circumstances. Sadly have to give this a low rating, hoped it would be a great local staple.

Our server was very attentive and helpful, space was open & modern, and sushi was great! We specifically recommend the Orange County roll.

Went here for my birthday recently and enjoyed our dishes. Service was prompt and friendly, and we were greeted by everyone upon arrival. The interior is nice/new build. There is a patio out back, but we didn't check it out. Bathrooms are new & very clean as well. They're still doing a soft opening right now so I think they aren't quite up and running fully normal, but again, we enjoyed the full experience overall!

We really loved our first visit to Sushi Yuki. The ambiance is very nice. They have a gorgeous Christmas tree which was a fun festive touch. The highlight of our visit was our bubbly server Sae, she was so pleasant and knew the menu well. We experienced excellent service from other staff members throughout our dinner. We had a glass of wine and a cocktail. They served us a complimentary salad (yummy dressing!) and we ordered an entree of edamame (good!). I had a rainbow roll (good) and my husband had the spicy crunchy tuna roll (very good!). We love having a new sushi spot in Bayview. We will definitely be back!

This is my favorite sushi restaurant of all time. My bestie (who isn't very adventurous) tried eel here for the first time and loved it. I've tried pretty much every roll on the menu and enjoyed every one. Super nice atmosphere and very friendly staff!

Everything at Sushi Yuki was delicious, the ambiance is nice, very friendly staff. Had a 15 min wait on a Friday night but there was bar seating we could grab a drink while we waited. So happy to have this in Bay View after a long time coming. The drinks were tasty and everything tasted great. Looking forward to going back soon!

Amazing sashimi, and an outstanding ambiance. One of my favorite dishes is the salmon cheek, just melt in your mouth delicious. Everytime we go the service has been welcoming and warm, simply a great place for sushi and conversation.

Friendly, knowledgeable staff and fantastic food. We love Sushi and the staff here delivers! We had Yellowtail, Eel, Baked Spicy Octopus, Tuna, Salmon, and the Bluefin Tuna. Our favorites were the Eel, Octopus, Yellowtail, and Bluefin Tuna. The Tuna was fatty and buttery, it will melt in your mouth. The Eel was perfectly grilled and sauced to send your taste buds soaring. Our server Anh was an absolute pleasure. This is our new favorite place for Sushi. Next we'll have to explore their noodles and other dishes!

This is the best sushi I've ever been to!!!!!!!!!! Mango mochi is super good too. (Says my 8 year old, a self proclaimed expert on sushi). The outdoor patio was a nice getaway on a summer night, and service (Chan) was fantastic. The whole family had a great time.

First time visiting and we were very pleased with the warm greeting as we entered. The menu has a lot of options and the prices were reasonable/comparable to similar settings. We ordered edamame, miso soup, 3 specialty rolls, chicken teriyaki, and one vegetarian roll. Everything was delicious and brought out with precision timing. We finished off the meal with mango mochi- also tasty! The ambiance is open and modern, bar seating and patio seating for the better weather days. Highly recommend, we will be back!

I can't rave about this place anymore, every single time we come here the sushi & service is better & better! The gyoza is perfectly crisp and yummy & the Yuko gigimi (suggested by our bartender) was spectacular!! Our favorite rolls have been the super volcano & spicy crunchy roll. Don't over look this place it's so yummy & the PERFECT sushi spot!!!!!

HANDS DOWN OUR GO TO SUSHI PLACE! Between the friendly staff, ambiance and the amount of love & freshness that goes into the food is just incredible! We have been to many different sushi spots since moving here 3 years ago and so so HAPPY we found this place!

The staff is always super sweet and attentive. Food is great, and not covered in mayo like a lot of other sushi restaurants. But last weekend we had the fish fry and it was amazing! Might be my favorite fish fry in the city. No joke.

Service was good. Gyoza and house salad were great. Sushi was not good. Do not recommend the green sky roll, we ended up leaving half of it behind - just not good. I would like to give it another try, but not sure if I can justify just trying it again at that price tag.

What an intimate first impression! We were greeted by the entire staff upon arrival, such a warm regards for complete strangers. Our server was so helpful with her recommendations. As for the atmosphere - so clean! Very pleasant instrumental music played without drowning out our conversation - hate loud music. The sushi tasted so fresh, we'll be back

Went here when it was opening as it seemed to have great reviews. I really wanted to like it as it had a nice atmosphere and great service. Unfortunately, the food was not very high quality, in my opinion. The miso soup looked and tasted like instant miso. None of the sushi tasted fresh and it all had an unusual bitter taste - not at all like high quality sushi. Completely unprompted, I received a complementary kimbap roll from the kitchen, which was very generous and tasted good, but I got the impression that they were trying to compensate for the low quality sushi.

Completely agree with Jason S. about being underwhelmed by the four sushi rolls in our takeout order. All tasted generally the same which wasn't all that great.

The food was good. The menu definitely has some unique rolls. The inside of restaurant is very clean and have a great vibe. The staff that waited on us was very nice.

Came in without even planning to go out, and what a nice surprise! The servers were very nice, the food came out quick, and the food was great! For an appetizer we got the veggie gyoza, I had the volcano sushi which I recommend. Food comes with complementary salad with their housemade sesame dressing (so good!). For dessert that night they had ma go, strawberry, and vanilla mochi which were delicious as well. For two people with the appetizer, 3 avocado rolls, my volcano roll, two mochis, and a soda, the bill came out to around $55 which I thought was reasonable. My only thing was that the atmosphere was a little strange. It felt like a nice restaurant for a Friday night, but also had bright lights which changed the ambiance. Overall so good!
