A North Side favorite for more than a decade, Sushiko balances a broad roll selection with solid nigiri and sashimi. Regulars praise the value-to-quality ratio; it’s the spot many locals recommend when you want variety without sacrificing freshness.

Really enjoyed the sushi here - the salmon and otoro was absolutely delicious and we loved the rainbow roll and soft shell crab hand roll. The shrimp teppanyaki was also fantastic. Highly recommend the sake flight. Great service, nice atmosphere. 100% will be back.

Google
Claire was a wonderful, incredible, and attentive server. 10/10 Sashimi was very generous and high quality. Crab Rangoon were some of the best I've ever had. Gyoza soup was warm and flavorful. Overall I'd come back again for sure!

Google
This restaurant was so, so good. We were traveling from out of town and only stayed one night in the Columbus area, but are so glad we ate at Sushiko! The miso soup and chicken udon noodles were top notch, along with the service.

Google
Everything we had here was amazing. I especially liked the special rolls and the salmon skin salad was really tasty. Would recommend the tempura rolls. Returned June 2024 and had excellent service. Returned March 2025 and service was again great. Had the ignari which was delicious!

Google
Craving for sushi one weekend and decided to try this place since it’s mentioned in 614 as top 10 sushi in Columbus. And we were not disappointed! It’s just me and the husband but we went for sashimi/sushi combo for 3 🤣🤣 and we almost couldn’t finish it The sashimi is fresh and thick cut, the sushi rice is one of the best l’ve ever had. I managed a Japanese restaurant for 3 years and I know a thing or 2 of fresh fish/sushi rice. We will definitely come back but might just order the combo for 2 and try something new! Their noodle dish looks yummy too.

I love Sushiko. I have no idea how many years my family has gone here now. I used to live locally, and I always had take out. Now I live two hours away. This trip is always worth its for the family visit AND the sushi. This last time, I did not even get a picture of all the food. We are already planning our next visit. I love it all.

Google
This place is amazing. My partner and I come here often to have dinner before going to the movies and we’ve never had anything less than an awesome experience. The food is authentic and delicious without being overpriced and the service and staff are incredible. Literally the sweetest ever, highly recommend!!

Google
A great spot that is tucked in to the plaza just off 23 and 270. The sushi rolls are all very good and they have a wide variety to choose from and I have yet to find a bad one. The sushi is well constructed and holds its form well. The ingredients feel, smell, and taste fresh. I can not recommend their Ebi Shumai enough. The sauce that they are dipped in is next level delicious. Definitely a recommended spot if you are in the area and craving sushi.

Yelp
Fantastic sushiko experience! They have new seating/furniture and plates/ serving pieces. The service was great, sushi was the best I've had here. We had the spicy sushiko scallop roll, rainbow roll, fantasy roll and spicy crab roll. I also had the seaweed salad- yum and hubs had the edamame. Great experience!!

Yelp
Stopped in to grab a quick roll for an afternoon snack and was very happy. Was greeted by a very nice individual who promptly took my order. Since I was just getting a snack, I ordered a tuna roll. I was very happy with how quickly and efficiently the tuna roll was prepared. The tuna roll was very good and the tuna was of exceptional quality. Had a nice large dining area with plenty of seating for a small group or a large group. The dining area appeared to be very clean. They also had a very nice bar with a very good selection of liquor. If you are in the crossroads area and looking for a sushi restaurant, I suggest giving them a try.

Yelp
Was craving sushi so grabbed some last minute at Sushiko and was pleasantly surprised by how fresh it was! I really enjoyed the salmon sashimi --if you're a salmon lover like me, definitely try it! The eel and yellowtail sashimis were also good but the salmon definitely stole the show. The pepper encrusted tuna was also an interesting pic if you're into spice. For rolls they have so many to choose from! You can get rolls with fresh fish or cooked items like the Cherry blossom roll (covered with strings of imitation crab), or crunchy deep fried rolls like the Buckeye or Ninja rolls. The specialty rolls were packed with ingredients and large in size so they were pretty filling. The server was so sweet and very attentive. She made sure we had everything we needed. As for seating, they have lots of indoor tables with seats at the sushi bar as well if you wanted to see them making the rolls. I definitely will be back to try more of their sashimi and rolls!

Yelp
Phenomenal sushi! Fish was very fresh, salmon and maguro melt in your mouth. I had chirashi, my husband had a dragon roll, a spicy tuna roll, and a couple of pieces of sashimi. Sashimi was sliced very thick, and looked incredible. He also said the rolls were exceptional, the tempura shrimp inside the dragon roll was some of the biggest I've seen and you could tell they were freshly made. My chirashi was excellent as well, all fish tasted fresh and were flavorful. Service was attentive without being overbearing. Overall a great meal on a cold evening! Will definitely be back.

Yelp
I'm not a big sushi fan and generally don't know what to order in a sushi restaurant. A business associate invited me to lunch and they asked if I was willing to try Sushi Ki Japanese restaurant. I agreed to give it a try IF THEY ordered the sushi. They ordered a nice variety of sushi to give me a flavor of what was available. This was my first time trying sushi. The service was really good and the sushi wasn't bad. In fact, the sushi was actually pretty good

Yelp
We had a wonderful family dinner there last night. Although there was a bit of a delay getting our server to our table initially, she apologized and did a terrific job getting our drinks, appetizers, and dinners ordered. The food there is absolutely fantastic. My family raved about the sushi but I got the shrimp/vegetable tempura which was delicious! I love this place. I suggest making a reservation as it gets very busy there!

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised from my experience last night at Sushi Ko Japanese restaurant. My friend and I were looking for sushi in the Worthington area and had no idea where to go but found this restaurant on Yelp. We arrived around 6:30 pm last night and we were seated right away. The restaurant looks a little chaotic with people running around giving food. The customer service is not great as my friend asked how the server was doing and he goes what can I get you. This restaurant is a fast pace sushi restaurant that you get what you get. We ordered three basic rolls and one speciality roll. My friend didn't see that the speciality rolls were listed on the back and when went up to change her roll, he said no then she went to walk away and he was like what do you want. A little hard to read if that was okay. There is no nonsense from this restaurant, you order, get your food, eat and leave. Would I come back again? Maybe just because I do not know if I like a place that is rushing me out but the sushi was pretty good so maybe a take out option?

Yelp
I live in another state, and whenever I come to Columbus, I visit this place since it's close to my hotel and helps me feel balanced with a good meal. The service is kind and leaves a good impression. However, I gave it three stars because, while the food is good, it doesn't quite fit into the category of authentic Japanese sushi or cuisine. For example, some dishes didn't match what I expected based on the menu names, making it feel more like fusion Japanese rather than traditional Japanese food. That being said, I really appreciate having a place in this area where I can enjoy sushi and Japanese cuisine. I'll definitely come back next time I'm in Columbus.

Yelp
Sushiko doesn't look like much on the outside but their food is very high quality. Service was prompt and our server went above and beyond to make sure we got what we wanted and understood the menu. I had the miso soup which was served hot. I definitely recommend due to the price point and how much you get for the price! In addition, the tuna and avocado hand roll was fantastic - priced below $6 and was very filling. The table shared a big bowl of edamame and hot sake! The server was able to recommend which sake would be best for us to try. Family friendly, clean restaurants and high quality sushi! I will definitely be back!

Yelp
No complaints here! Everything was perfect. The space is intimate and offers more seating than one might expect from the outside. The staff are all very friendly and efficient. They do a great job making sure you have everything you need. I ordered the sake flight and it's so delightful. I loved each one but I think the Honjozo was my favorite. I ordered the sushi deluxe - it was the perfect amount of food for one person. I was able to trade out the California roll for a spicy tuna roll and it was really good. The prices are fair and the portions are on point. I highly recommend this lovely little sushi spot!

Yelp
This is the smallest "special roll" I have ever had. Baby pieces of fish; avocado on 2 pieces of the roll. Who does that? The pic is the other 4 pieces of the roll. A $16 specialty roll is 3 times the size of this in the New Orleans.

Danish C.

Yelp
This is our favorite sushi restaurant and today's lunch reaffirmed that. We both had sushi lunch specials, which are a good value and tasted very fresh. Sarah, our server, was exceptional--best server I've had anywhere.
google avatar

Kelly L.

Yelp
What a terrific find this was! The Miso Soup was HOT in the best way imaginable. The Crab Rangoon was some of the best we've ever had, perfectly crunchy yet soft enough to not fall apart when you bite into it. Our favorite rolls were the traditional New York, Ruby Roll (specialty) and the Cherry Blossom (specialty). Service was great. The space is dated and could use a facelift but by no means did it take away from the experience.

Yelp
The sushi here is really fantastic! Nice service too! Great spot to go before seeing a movie

Yelp
Let me preface this by saying how amazing our server was, and she was the reason we gave this place a few stars. My fiancée and I dined at sushiko today after both of us not going for years. We have both had many positive experiences over the years and it was an easy decision since we had an errand close by. We should have left this place in the past. I had the miso soup, no complaints but that's pretty par for the course. We ordered 4 specialty rolls with various fish and managed to eat 3 but the 4th was inedible to us. We really were only eating the others to be polite, but we should have said something earlier. She had eel that was chewy and dry almost like a cooked from frozen texture, my scallops left much to be desired and the volcano roll was the best we had by far, but I'd still choose grocery sushi over it. (We are fish and sushi lovers, we like everything from Kroger to overseas in Japan). The one we couldn't eat was the 911 roll- the cooked salmon inside was DRY. Think pork floss. And the taste was just extremely poor. When we mentioned we didn't need a box for it because we didn't care for it the server told us she could replace it with anything which was a really nice gesture. We declined because we honestly didn't want to try anything else. Then she told us the owner wouldn't remove the charge, our only choice was to replace. (We didn't ask for it removed) we just felt bad as the owner obviously put her in a tough spot so we just picked something to go. So thank you so much for your service tonight, you were kind and professional and all around you get 5 stars! The food- not for us. $72 and we had to go to dayou market after for food.

Yelp
I've seen this place so many times going to Lotus Grill, and never actually tried it until today. Glad I finally did. I ordered two rolls - Christmas and Super Crunchy. Both were delicious and huge. The miso soup was delicious as well. This place is casual with excellent service. I will definitely be back because Sushiko is muy rico.

Yelp
Great sushi spot! A friend and I were in the mood for sushi and after heading to another restaurant only to find it closed, we pulled up Yelp and found Sushi Ko. We arrived around 7PM on a random Tuesday and the dining room was full and to-go orders were going out left and right. We immediately knew we made the right decision. After an empty table was cleared, we were seated and water was brought to the table. We got to sit directly in front of the sushi bar, which is always fun to watch. The fellas back there were working nonstop, busting out sushi rolls of all kinds. We ordered miso soup, a salad and several rolls. The first one was the Sweet Lover roll which was wrapped in foil and then set on FIRE! It was really cool to watch and tasted pretty good too. We also ordered a White Dragon and the others I can't remember. They were all dynamite though. The service was very friendly and the food came out rather quickly, even with how busy they were. I wouldn't hesitate to come back and I definitely recommend stopping in to fill your sushi craving.

Yelp
So... I've been making my own quarantine sushi at home for months now. Though I've done pretty well, I've grown really bored with my efforts and limited ingredients so decided to do a little carryout with Sushiko Sushi & Roll Bar at Crosswoods. Five items for lunch today, total with tip was just about $50 out the door. So this had better be good. And it was. Started with a Salmon Skin Handroll ($4.50, not pictured) and a Spicy Tuna Avo Handroll ($4.95). Both were decent, construction wasn't the tidiest. I've definitely had better of both at Blue Ginger and Akai Hana. 3/5 Next up was a Spicy Scallop Roll - California roll topped with baked spicy crab and bay scallops, crunchy, with eel sauce ($7.95). I was a little disappointed that the scallops were so tiny and the crab was actually surimi (fake crab) but overall it was pretty tasty. Probably better when fresh out of the Salamander. 4/5 Main feature was 2 of their pricier specialty rolls. First up, Surf 'n Turf Roll - Shrimp Tempura, Scallion, topped with rare NY Strip Steak, Crunchy Fried Shallots, Ponzu Sauce, Eel sauce ($13.95). Pretty amazing even if it was cold once I dug in. Nicely sliced rare beef paired really well with the crunchy shrimp tempura. I'd buy this one again but only once safe dine-in is a thing again. 5/5 The other fancy entry, a Treasure Roll - Alaskan King crab, spicy crab salad, cucumber topped with tuna, salmon, eel, shrimp, avocado, eel sauce ($14.95) is like a Rainbow Roll on steroids. It had an luxurious, unctuous feel in the mouth and the whole combination of diverse flavors and textures damn near brought a tear to my eye. I'll buy this one again too. 5/5 Was nice trying a new place. Only ate half of what I bought so guess what's for dinner! Still my tops for sushi in my backyard are Blue Ginger and Akai Hana, but in today's crazy world I'll take whatever I can get. Overall Rating: X

Yelp
Plenty of rolls to pick from -- something for everyone. Great service and friendly staff!

Yelp
This is really great sushi! Staff and friendly and the chefs are very quick. We tend to go here every time we catch a movie at the Marcus Theater next door.

Yelp
A decent sushi restaurant for Columbus, but nothing to rave about. Their sashimi and sushi were average. Can't go wrong with the crab salad. The spicy scallop roll tasted okay, but difficult to eat. I had a hard time finding anything special about the menu at this restaurant and the sushi chef got my order wrong unfortunately.

Yelp
So this place is such a little hidden gem. Tucked away in a strip mall it does not look like much from the outside, but don't let that fool you. Inside is a warm, relaxed atmosphere with friendly staff and really high quality sushi. I think this has become my new favorite sushi spot in Columbus and I never even knew it existed until we went the other night. Our server was awesome and had so much patience with describing all of the night's specials to us (they have a packed specials board). He knew a lot of about the food and told us about some new fish specialities they had fresh. He was also a great balance between attentive but not rushing us. I highly recommend the seared pepper tuna, the "Hulk" roll, and the Tyku sake. Not only is the food delicious, but it is beautiful when served. You can tell a lot of care is put into this food.

Yelp
Quite possibly the best surprise I could find in the middle of Columbus, OH. After 4 days of eating pure junk.... I randomly found this little sushi place walking distance from my hotel. I went in... With low expectations and desperate for a decent meal. Ordered the sushi sashimi combo for 1, the Hamachi collar, and mango icecream. Food was fast, fresh, and priced well. If this place were in California.... I probably would not be that excited since good sushi places are everywhere in california.... But for Columbus, OH.... And walking distance from my hotel........ 4 stars!

Yelp
This place had very good sushi and fast service. The outside is a bit unassuming and the strip mall doesn't seem super busy. But the sushi was good quality and yummy. My one note would be that the the sushi was a bit lopsided/some pieces fell apart and weren't as tightly rolled as I would've like. As for lopsided, I mean that some of the Alaskan rolls had a big chunk of salmon and others had a much smaller chunk. Overall, I would totally recommend this if you like good, standard sushi with high quality sushi rice and fish. Also just wanna plug that sweet potato rolls (they call it an Idaho roll here) are the bomb! See in the picture... it's a tempura'd sweet potato on the inside and eel sauce on the top!

Christian A.

Yelp
Good sushi at an affordable price. Great staff and good, fresh food. The ambience is okay and not offputting. The hibachi works well for groups.

Yelp
The food is very fresh. The service is great! I love their lunch box. The lunch box is good size including salad or miso soup. When I am near by, it is my first choice for food.

Yelp
My go to local sushi spot! The sushi ko roll is a top fav! The food is always consistent. We order to go mostly.

Yelp
Yum, yum, yum! I was so happy with my order from here! I am a big sushi fan and I've been trying to find a good spot in the Columbus area and this was so delicious I will definitely order it again. I ordered via Doordash, so I cannot speak as to the restaurant itself, but the food was fantastic and it was ready very quickly. I ordered the spicy crab salad to start. It came on a bed of lettuce with some yummy dressings on it (looked like spicy mayo and some kind of peanut sauce). My only request would be more of the sauces; they were so yummy! For my rolls I got the Volcano roll and the Fantastic 4 roll. The volcano roll was really nice with the combo of the crab salad on top and the creamy avocado. The seafood all tasted high quality. The fantastic 4 roll only comes with 5 pieces, but for good reason because they are HUGE! Seriously do not order this roll on a date with a new significant other, because you will embarrass yourself. Lucky for me I got to eat at home alone and indulge the ginormous bites in one go (as sushi should be eaten to get the full flavors at once). These two rolls were the perfect picks for me, but their menu also had a ton of other options including deep fried ones if that is more your taste. I also ordered sides of the spicy mayo and eel sauce for dipping and both made it into the order. You'd be surprised how often side sauces like that don't make it to you when you order via an app! My experience with the food was fantastic and I definitely plan to visit the restaurant in person sometime soon!
google avatar

Tammy A.

Yelp
Whew, the sushi roll just blew me away. It was the best sushi I've had in all of Columbus I think. Why? It's big and has so much flavor depending on what you order. Our sushi roll had like 6 pieces with real eel, salmon, cream cheese, cucumbers rolled together with a special teriyaki sauce. So good, I can still remember the taste. As if the sushi roll wasn't enough, we ordered more! We then got the seafood hibachi and and chicken hibachi. They were so big I could barely finish my meal. I was really blown away by the quality of the food here. You really pay for what your getting here and it's worth the price. If you want quality sushi, you go to Sushi Ko. Everything is freshly made to order and super delicious for your palate.

Yelp
Somehow I thought I'd been here already, but nothing looked familiar. Perhaps there was another sushi place nearby years ago? Anyway, it is fairly nondescript from the outside, in a strip mall by the theater. Inside, small, standard sushi bar setup. Nice big bar, ten or so table. Comfy, pleasant, nothing fancy. Service was excellent. I started with unagi- a large, tender piece of eel on good rice. Flavorful, no chewy skin, very very good. Next was the pink salmon roll. Big, barely practical to pick up with chopsticks. Beautiful. And tasty. Spicy salmon, veggies, roe on top. Not much heat in the taste, just a nice blend of flavors and textures. Finally, the Kinky Eel roll. Even bigger, and I just picked it up by hand. Crab, eel, veggies, just a bunch of goodness deftly packed in a roll. Lots of good lunch specials, which I will keep in mind. Reasonable pricing overall. It's a bit out of the way, but worth a visit. Lots of interesting stuff on the menu, super fresh, and nicely crafted.

Yelp
Delicious speciality rolls and you are able to adjust based on what you like. I always get take out and have never had more made wrong
google avatar

Melanie R.

Yelp
This is my favorite sushi place since Otani's closed. They even make better appetizers. We usually have to take turns between the stuffed avocado and crab rangoons. The cherry blossom and samurai rolls are my absolute favorite but my daughter goes for the dragon & NY roll. I just haven't had a bad thing from the years I've been going here.

Yelp
So, COVID has cramped my Yelping activity just a bit, and I've only been doing carry out. I feel like those reviews aren't exciting, but I guess they are important! All reviews from here on -- until it's safe, will be based on carry out service for any new places I visit. Sushi Ko! I had a craving at work for sushi, and have never tried this place before. They are located close to my office in Worthington. They have a great online menu that includes featured sushi rolls. I called them up and was greeted with a friendly voice who took my order. I chose to try the YUM-YUM roll and an order of Crab Rangoon. I was told my order would e ready in 15 minutes. Upon arrival, I was promptly greeted and handed my food. They do have dine in for those interested, and appear to be following all safety precautions. Everything was packaged nicely, and chopsticks included. The YUM-YUM roll was delicious--it had crab, avocado, cucumber and special sauce. The crab Rangoon was crispy and tasted very fresh. I paid $16 plus tip for my meal, and I feel like the quality was worth it.
google avatar

Yelp
For variety of sushi, for quality of sushi, for doing some of the best tempura around... I highly recommend Sushi Ko! Seriously, if you don't see a roll on their menu that you like... then no one has it! Sushi Ko is in an understated stripmall up by Crosswoods but dont let that deter you. The food is fresh and amazing! They do a ton of carryout. The interior is underwhelming but again the food is overwhelmingly delicious and you can always count on the sushi being the freshest available!
google avatar

Savannah C.

Yelp
Best sushi in town!!!! I have tried COUNTLESS sushi restaurants in Columbus but I am telling you this is it. You may think it's a but pricey but it's like that for a reason!!!! You pay for incredible quality!
google avatar

Jeff R.

Yelp
This is the perfect place to have a delicious sushi dinner before walking over to Marcus Crosswoods to catch a movie. The restaurant itself isn't very large, but I have never seen it very crowded which is nice. It has an excellent selection of sushi and everything seems to be priced not too expensive. A funny anecdote. One time at Sushiko I actually tried to gross my friends out by ordering octopus, eel and squid rolls to share. The gross out attempt didn't work because all 3 rolls turned out to be excellent (especially the eel) and they just wanted more. Perhaps that says something about the quality of their sushi.
google avatar

Jeremy Q.

Yelp
First time trying this place and it was solid! We ordered to go so we could eat and watch the Oscars. We tried lots of different rolls, but our favorite was the tempura vegetable roll! Overall, good sushi though slightly pricey to get enough food to fill you up.
google avatar

Michael R.

Yelp
Fantastic sushi restaurant. Very friendly and polite service. I had the Sake Don, super crunchy roll and the New York roll which were all flavorful and tasty. The salmon tasted very fresh and that is important. Employees were all abiding by the Covid restrictions. Everything was clean and organized to maintain social distance. I will definitely be back in the future.

Yelp
Average food you would expect from a big block of restaurants, I had the California rolls and they had me in and out of the bathroom multiple times, the miso soup is amazing though, great service, and overall an amazing interior design. would recommend
google avatar

Royce L.

Yelp
Pretty good restaurant. They are in a small strip mall. It's sandwiched between another restaurant and a bar. Plenty of parking. Inside is decent amount of seating. A sushi bar with a few seats as well. They were able to accommodate a larger group so that was good. The menu was a blend of Asian fusion not just Japanese. Sushi was definitely a big part of the menu but they have plenty of other options. I had Bibimbop with kimchee and that is Korean. Food was good and service was gold as well.
google avatar

Melitta S.

Yelp
I've ordered so many different rolls 6 (two standard ie California and spicy tuna---four Specialty ie Sunday morning, Kamikaze, eel and cucumber plus lobster roll) They were all phenomenal!! This is definitely my favorite location to UberEats because the quality is superb. No pics since we inhaled everything
google avatar

Yelp
Recommended by a friend and wow was it great! Don't let the strip like store front turn you away! The sushi was delicious and the staff is super friendly.

Yelp
You wouldn't expect this unbelievably good sushi place in a mall! This is one of the best sushi restaurants I've ever been to. The rolls are spectacular and the unagi with their homemade sauce is the best!!! Wish I had a place like this near me. Pink Salmon roll and Fantastic roll is what I had. Delicious!
google avatar

Estrella Roy J.

Yelp
Great sushi and other Japanese dishes. I think they have the best tempura in town - the tempura sauce just takes it over the top. The service was great - very attentive wait staff.

Yelp
Got a to go order & everything was delicious! Got the crab Rangoon, Yaki Soba, and Sushi Ko & Yum Yum rolls. Will definitely come back & dine in next time!

Yelp
Time for a review update! Since I first wrote my review for Sushi Ko in 2019, I've been back quite a few times and explored the menu much more in depth. This is definitely a five-star establishment in my book! Below is my recommendation for the "perfect take out meal for two": - Two miso soups: Their miso soup is the best I've had in Columbus. It has the perfect amount of salt, seaweed, and tofu. I just love it. - One sushi roll of your choice: All of their sushi is fantastic, but my personal favorite is the negi-hama roll. This simple roll includes fresh yellowtail and scallion, and is delightful when dipped in soy sauce. - One order of the spicy crab salad: We personally like to order this with "light spice," but if you like things spicy, go for the full spice. The crab salad is the perfect size for sharing and so delicious. - One order of gyoza: The gyoza at Sushi Ko is our most recent discovery and we order it every single time. The order includes 6 beef gyoza (3 each if you're sharing, which is a great portion size). They're perfectly steamed and come with a scrumptious sauce that kind of tastes like soy sauce, but with much more zest. A must-order. - One order of the steak teppanyaki: Honestly, probably my favorite item I've tried. It includes perfectly grilled slices of steak on a bed of onions and various green vegetables, tossed in teriyaki sauce. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Overall, I've never ordered something from Sushi Ko that I haven't liked. Their menu is well-rounded, the fish is always fresh, and the employees are so nice. Can't wait to come back again!
