The Lemon cake is unreal awesome! Just the perfect balance between savory and lemon very well done! The staff was very friendly. helpful and the place has a really cool vibe.. the only thing that could be negative about it is the selection is too large to pick just one thing…. Not really a negative it’s a great place..

Our first SusieCakes experience was so positive, I can not recommend them enough. I ordered a 1/2 birthday cake for our baby, and loved it. We got the small size but was able to feed 14 people. Everyone said the cake was absolutely delicious. Even when I picked up the cake, the staff were friendly and seemed genuinely happy. Their location is bright and charming. I am so excited to have come across them and can’t wait to get their cakes for all other occasions!

Absolutely love SusieCakes! A slice of chocolate cake is enough for at least 2 people. The frosting is perfect, not too sweet but sweet enough! The cake itself is moist. Sorry I waited so long to come and try this out. Definitely ordering all my cakes from Susie’s.

My new favorite bakery in town, and DEFINITELY for any of my upcoming parties or events! I called SusieCakes to see if they could create some custom buttercream cupcakes for me, and Lexie was soooo sweet in helping me get exactly what I needed to make my celebration perfect, and when I needed it ready too! When I arrived, she and another gal were so excited to help me get my cupcakes packaged for my event and made sure they stayed fresh and delicious for my guests. The customer service is just so amazing I wouldn't want to go anywhere else for my baked goods. My guests raved about how incredible the cupcakes were (all asking where I got them), and I gladly shared my new find. I plan to come back for the delicious looking cakes, too!

This place is amazing. I have never had such a delicious cupcake but honestly what sold me was the service. I drop off goodies to my clients all over austin everyday. I probably do 12 drop offs a week. I stumbled into this spot because I was at the UPS store down the way and the service was unbeatable. I would go here just for the amazing service. Rocio explained things so well and she instantly told me about all the amazing things they do. If you need a special and customized cake that is delicious this place is perfect! This is going to be my new “go-to” spot for all of the marketing events I put on. I hope I get to see Rocio every time I come. She’s awesome and literally sold me on the place.

love the aesthetic of susie cakes & the employees always welcome you with a warm smile. if i had to choose one item to recommend it would be the strawberry cupcake, it is to die for its perfectly sweet & so refreshing. all their cakes are not too sweet but that buttercream frosting…definitely the star of the show.

I was looking for a blue-ish cake for my son’s one month mark. I was looking at some other bakeries as well and since this was last minute I didn’t place any order and couldn’t find a blue cake. Glad I got this cake at Susie’s! This was a vanilla cake. The staff were really good at describing different cakes they had and they decorated the cake as per our request. They do also provide information on hoy to store the cake if you aren’t eating it immediately. Everyone really liked it, it was very moist, not too sugary

Came in after a referral to try 4 different flavors, coconut, strawberry, lemon, chocolate. I tried them asap and I only like the chocolate because the other cakes were way too dense (like bready). I like soft and fluffy cupcakes but others might prefer dense. I’m a baked good fanatic and the icing all on 4 were tremendously sweet, too too much. Maybe their whole cakes are better. I attached a photo.

There was a birthday in the house and perfect time to try SusieCakes. I went online and setup my new SusieCakes account and the app too. I ordered the 6" Old-Fashioned Chocolate Cake with sprinkles on top. The next day I went to the bakery to pick it up. The staff was super friendly and have cakes, cupcakes and other treats on display. You can buy a slice of cake too. They also sell accessories like napkins, plates and numeric candles. My order was ready to pickup. I also got a free cupcake for setting up an account and purchased a second one. It was a Chocolate and Vanilla Blue. Both tasted really good with great soft flavor. The cake was just delicious and very chocolatey. I will definitely return for my cake needs.

In my pack of 8 cupcakes, some were fresh and others were not. The fresh ones tasted great. Clearly some of the cakes were at least 2 or 3 days old. First thing my husband said..."Wow these are dry!"

I enjoyed this cake so much more than I expected. I got a slice of lemon (not pictured) and a slice of strawberry. I don't usually love cakes as they are typically too dry. When I do eat cake I prefer ones that are little more dense with moisture. This cake is very fluffy and airy and I was afraid it would be fried (at least I appeared that way by looking at it). To my surprise, it is delicious and doesn't feel too heavy! The layers of cake and frosting are both thin, so you get a bite of cake and frosting each time. I also hate when frosting is overly sweet--this cake is so well balanced and I don't feel like it's too sweet. They had several varieties of cakes available, all available in different whole cake sizes as well as by the slice. There were also cookies and cupcakes. I went in a Saturday around 5pm and service was quick and efficient. The shop was very clean and well lit--and very cute!

I'm sorry to say, the Xmas cupcakes purchased yesterday were terrible. The frosting was so sugary your back teeth felt like they'd fall out. It's supposed to be a buttercream frosting, but, it tasted of only sugar. And, the consistency was dense and dry. Really, really bad. Unfortunately, the cake tasted plain and was like eating nothing at all. Rather dry, void of vanilla flavor, and crumbly. We'd taken these to a Christmas party and our friends didn't enjoy them either. This was our first and last experience at Susie's. Especially, considering the heavy $77 price tags for a dozen.

Love love love. I was introduced to Susiecakes from a previous Yelp event and I couldn't be more appreciative. My daughter's 1st birthday just passed and I knew the perfect cake to serve! I've that I was able toCustomize the celebration cake to match our decor and theme. Every guest enjoyed the cake and was impressed at how rich and delicious the cake was. The icing isn't overwhelming and you just can't stop taking more bites. I ordered a 9inch to be shared by 20 people and had almost half the cake leftover. Not complaining, more for me!! The cake is large and generous because of the layers. I haven't had a flavor here that I don't like. A week later, a staff member called to inquire how I enjoyed the cake! I thought that was so sweet and considerate. I really support and recommend susiecakes to anyone planning a party or wanting a sweet bite since they sell cakes by the slice and cupcakes! Love!

What a cute little bakery!! If it has a flaw, it's pricing. They don't have price signs, so you have to ask for each price. Then you go into sticker shock. That being said, the cakes are GOOD! I got a slice of chocolate, a slice of lemon, a mocha cupcake, and a pumpkin spice cupcake. (I shared it all, of course. The slices are huge!) The cakes were all moist and sweet. The buttercream was all super tasty, a great consistency, and sitting right on the edge of maybe too sweet. Perfect! So will I return? Maybe, if I am in the area. It's 8 miles away but takes nearly 40 minutes to get there, every time I put it into GPS. So between the time, gas and prices of the cupcakes and slices...

I loved this cute bakery and interior decor. Ladies at the counter were so nice and friendly. There were soo many yummy cake options to choose from - we got the popular celebration cake and red velvet cake to go. Huge serving slices and very moist cakes that completely melt in your mouth. YUMMY!

I got the smallest size red velvet cake for my mom's bday and 10/10! The cakes are moist and not overly sweet and the cream cheese icing is amazing! Everyone at the restaurant we shared the cake with all loved it. We also had delivery and it went off without a hitch- would definitely order from Susie's for our next special occasion!

So delicious!! I love a good bakery and I am so delighted to have found one where the frosting does not make my stomach do flips. I only like buttercream frosting and Susie Cakes does a perfect frosting. Their cakes are moist and tastes like my grandmothers cakes. I tried the mocha and celebration slices of cake as well as the whoopie pie and all desserts were fantastic! The dangerous part is that I may find myself making bi-weekly trips as I was told that they have seasonal cookies that are also phenomenal!

Tried their lemon cupcake the other day. It was pretty good, perhaps a bit too lemony for me. But, the consistency of the cupcake was perfectttt and not dry at all! Would absolutely come back to try their other flavors, or maybe even a cake. Service was super friendly and quick, and the inside of the store was bright, fun, and welcoming.

This place is going to save my butt every time I forget someone's birthday or big life event. Such a cute shop with kind and attentive staff. The cakes all taste amazing and there is no wrong choice. I got a pumpkin cupcake for a coworker and they wrapped it up as a gift. Can't wait to return and see this business grow.

Thankful for Yelp Elite giving me this opportunity to try some delicious cakes, this establishment is very clean and the staff were nice, friendly and patient, y'all they have diiferent flavors to choose from so of course I chose Red Velvet (2 slices) , Chocolate Marble and Lemon. I couldn't wait to get home to try them. I tell y'all these cakes are moist, flavorful and to die for and on top of that, a nice size & reasonably priced. Y'all should stop by and and pick up a couple of slices or a whole cake, y'all won't be disappointed.

Came here for a Yelp Elite event but also bought a Whoopie Pie. So delicious! The chocolate cookies were thick and perfectly chewy, with a great amount of frosting between. Certainly as big and filling as a Crumbl cookie (but better, in my opinion). Staff were so friendly and helpful, and the retro packaging and logo are adorable!

Cute bakery! The employees welcomed me warmly and were so friendly. I got a coconut cupcake and it was so moist and the frosting was so decadent. I really liked that you can get slices of cake a la carte which I feel like you don't see often so that's a plus when you just want to grab a smaller dessert. I've tried the lemon and red velvet cakes before and those were delicious - moist and creamy icing. It's more of a grab and go kind of place FYI since there's only a couple seats inside. Will be back for sure!

Tried their Pumpkin Spice and Mocha cupcakes and OMG they are to die for! So delicious you can really taste each of their flavors! Staff is friendly and quick! I love that you're able to see all the cakes as soon as you walk into the shop, very clean and organized. Wish it had some seats to enjoy your pastries there but its a great to-go spot.

I popped into SusieCakes for a Yelp Elite event and ended up walking out with a bonus mocha cupcake. It was a truly indulgent treat with the creamiest coffee frosting atop a moist, flavorful chocolate cake base. So fricking good! It's a seasonal item, so I recommend stopping by soon to enjoy this tasty treat before it's gone. If enough of us seek out this flavor, maybe SusieCakes will make the mocha a standard menu item. A girl can dream...

A little sad that this location isn't super busy but I love me some Susie Cakes! Came by to pick up a gluten free cake for a friends birthday but couldn't resist getting a slice for myself for the ride home. I had the gluten free cake as well and while most gluten free desserts have a bad rep I will say Susie cakes does not disappoint for gluten free cake!

Ordered the smallest cake for my father's 88th birthday. We got the vanilla celebration cake. It was ok. For $55, I guess I had higher expectations. The writing was not the best and honestly why extra charge for it? The confetti on top was sparce. The confetti in the cake mix was not very obvious either. The cake tasted ok but nothing I have not had in the past. I will maybe give them another try but only try the cupcakes as the cake is not worth the cost in my opinion.

I had the best time visiting Susie cakes! Employees were so friendly and welcoming, explaining all of their cake, flavors, dessert offerings delivery options, and even a little history about the store! They ship world wide, and have delivery options; you can order ahead for large orders or holidays. There are many different types of cakes, cookies, brownies, and decorations for each. During this fall season, they offered pumpkin cheesecakes which I purchased for Thanksgiving. They even threw in a free whipped cream! I had to pick up the day before Thanksgiving, and totally blanked on the time they at close for the holidays. They gave me a call about an hour before closing and even told me they'd be there a little longer in case I didn't make it by 4 PM. I made it just in time and I was able to get my cake apologize and thank them profusely for reminding me! The next day we ate the cake and it was absolutely delectable! It was probably the best pumpkin cheesecake I've ever had and I haven't had many. I can't wait to see what else they come up with. I'll be ordering again. If you order directly from their website and sign up, you will receive rewards. I have one free cupcake waiting for me now!

How did I not know this gem was in my neighborhood?!? I needed a simple birthday cake but wanted something more than a grocery store cake but not as high end as you'll get from a wedding cake baker. SusieCakes didn't require several days of lead time, had all the expected flavor options and several decoration options. Ordering was extremely easy, the people working when I placed the order in person were super sweet and patient as I considered my options. The cake was adorable AND delicious!!! The cake was moist, the frosting was incredible!i was skeptical that a 6 in would actually feed our group of 8. We had more than enough with plenty to save for later. Thrilled SusieCakes is so close to my home. Welcome to the neighborhood!

Love this place!! Came here for a Yelp event and got two giant slices of cake to try. I tried the chocolate and the lemon! Both were fantastic. I'm not a huge frosting person, trust me they both had plenty on them, so I scrapped most of that off, but the flavors were all there and the service was so great too. We went right before they were closed and they had every cake still in stock for purchase. I would definitely go again when I'm craving something sweet and delicious!

Great looking and tasting cakes! Each cake slice is actually big enough to serve two people. I tried the Celebration and the Coconut cakes. Both were extremely delicious. The cakes were moist and very flavorful. I'll be on a sugar rush for the remainder of the day.

WOW! Can I give SusieCakes 10 stars? First, the location of the shop is super-convenient, at the corner of Bee Cave and Walsh Tarleton, with lots of parking. The shop is bright and spacious and the display of available cakes is gorgeous! We ordered a slice of Luscious Lemon, and one of Carrot Cake, and both slices were substantial! The lemon was the perfect texture and tartness - the sugar sprinkles on top added the perfect little crunch. The Carrot Cake was classic, with nuts and raisins, and just the right spice. The cream cheese frosting was light and perfect for this cake! The whole experience gave my Monday the positive perk that I needed! HIGHLY recommend!

I rarely order cake b cause it is frequently dry. If I order a cake, I like a moist texture with rich and not overly sweet flavors. The coconut cake is probably the BEST coconut cake in Austin - and I've tried them ALL. It is so moist and delicious without being too sweet. 5 stars!

Make sure to ask if their Cupcakes are fresh or not because we bought 2 today and they tasted 3 days old. Dry as could be!

Awesome cakes. Been my go to for our office cakes. They also do pretty good cupcake specials. I had the Guinness chocolate with Bailey's icing.

I was able to check out this place through a Yelp event and I am so happy I was! I was blown away by how good these cakes are! I have the celebration one and the carrot cake and... speechless. Just speechless. The cakes were moist, rich, full of flavor and delicious! I am not even a sweets person but I have been thinking about when and how I can get my hands on another cake. I have already started recommending this bakery to people and can't wait to come back! You won't be disappointed!

Fun decorative cakes and clean atmosphere. The customer service was spot on all the staff members were friendly and willing to help with requests the cookies were bakes fresh and the ingredients were quality.

My favorite place to get cake for special birthdays. By far the best cakes around! Personally, I wish the cakes were wider with fewer layers. Aside from that the cakes are flawless. The chocolate is the best.

I normally love Susie's cakes (and have been to their SF location and their Houston one when it was open), but I was disappointed by the size of the tropical cake slice and key lime pie. Normally, the sizes are super generous like the chocolate cake slice we got, but today the key lime pie slice was maybe 4 bites and the tropical slice was maybe a half of the chocolate slice. Tasty but the portion sizes were disappointing.

Stumbled upon this place today and so glad we did. The employee very helpful and friendly. I got a piece of chocolate and the piece of the coconut pineapple and they are both amazing with the coconut being my fave. Can't wait to go back for a slice of strawberry. And for the size of cake slice you get the prices are not bad at all.

I have never had SusieCakes before, but yesterday a sweet friend bought one of their Luscious Lemon cakes for me to celebrate my birthday. It was one of the best cakes I have ever had! The flavors and textures were just perfect - moist, with a fantastic crumb, just the right amount of sweet, and the teeniest, lovely textural crunch from the decorative sugar on the exterior. And it was absolutely gorgeous, to boot! You can bet that I'll be heading that way to get their treats on a regular basis. Welcome to Austin, SusieCakes!!

I've tried many of the cake flavors here, and they are all fantastic. The marble cake and the lemon cakes are exceptional, and they are definitely the best slices of cake I've had in Austin. The cake slices are very generous, and I'll definitely return to order cakes for special occasions

service was good, shop ambiance was nice, but the actual cakes hit or miss. The chocolate was a bit dry and lacked flavor i could taste sweetness and not much rich chocolate. For a place that specializes in only buttercream frosted traditional cakes I was expecting for the taste to be perfected! The coconut cake was delicious very flavorful and moist. Again taste of the cakes is hit or miss and the actual cake decoration isn't really fit for celebratory custom cakes; I have seen better looking work at heb unfortunately. I think if the flavor,texture, and decoration was improved this place could do really well!

Received some cupcakes as a gift and couldn't believe how good they were!!! Cupcakes are cupcakes but not these from Susie Cakes!!! They are expensive but so good! I hope to try a cake soon. I wish they sold slices of cake!

This Thanksgiving we enjoyed SusieCakes' iconic cranberry-orange cake and your classic pumpkin pie. Both were a huge hit with our guests, many of whom had enjoyed SusieCakes pies and pastries in California. We will definitely back for more as we celebrate life's important events.

Snickerdoodle cookie is MASSIVE. I probably only needed to eat half of it, but somehow it just magically disappeared in front of me... Took just a bite of my red velvet cupcake. Heaven never felt so close. Bright clean area and friendly staff to boot! Definitely a "treat yo self" spot!

I ordered a coconut cake for my husband's birthday and it was divine. So moist and fresh tasting. Ordering and paying were both super easy. When I picked up the cake, I was eyeballing the case filled with cupcakes and other delectable items. Next to me, a woman ordered a coconut cupcake and ate it right there. I thought it was unusual but after I tasted the cake I completely understand. Best coconut cake ever. Next time I will get a cupcake also and eat it in the store!

SusieCakes is my favorite ever bakery. Lots of their cakes have helped us celebrate many birthdays and milestones when we lived near Calabasas. I have family in Dallas, and we made sure a stop at SusieCakes was always on the itinerary. So happy they've opened one much closer to me. This one is just as awesome as their others!

I happened to be going to the bagel shop next door and decided to drop in on a whim! I'm so glad I did! Both ladies who helped me were so sweet! It was such a great experience inside the store but the cake is also amazing! The marble cake is so good! I left with 2 slices of cake, 6 cupcakes and a whoopie pie! No regrets! I will be back!

Best red velvet and chocolate cake!!!! I am sure their other cakes are delicious but I can't get past these two flavors because they're so good. This place is down the road from where my son gets weekly occupational therapy and I am so glad we discovered it. Bonus is that the people who work here are just the nicest.

Hands down the best cakes especially the carrot cake! I first had suziecakes when I lived SF and it was love at first bite! Now I will drive to Dallas or Houston just to get one of your cakes for special celebrations. I was so excited over a year ago when your Dallas location informed me you were opening a Austin location. The anticipation is killing me please open soon! This is a must try!
