I love Susiecakes, enough to order it for my wedding but I am disappointed from the mishap that happened with my order.
I preordered a cake and 7 dozen cupcakes for my wedding and coordinated the pickup day/time with someone a day before. They went to pick up the order a couple hours after the scheduled pick up time and an employee, Andrea, claimed that someone had already picked up the order exactly at 12 noon. This stressed out not only me, but the person in charge of picking up the order. Thankfully the wedding was the following day and grateful that they offered to personally deliver my order to the venue.
While a solution was provided, I unfortunately had to hear about this while I was at the spa, de-stressing before the big day. During a moment that I solely dedicated to relax, this completely inconvenienced me. While at the spa, I had to call a number of people to ask if they picked up the order, even though this task was not delegated to them. This incident also led me to believe that my email was hacked since someone knew my full name and knew the exact time the order would be ready by. So, I also had to change all my passwords because of this.
I wasn't there in person to pick up the order, but I was told that no ID was checked upon pick-up, that the surveillance cameras located in the bakery are fake, and the explanation about the order being picked up exactly at noon felt fictitious. Ultimately, if somehow the order wasn't fulfilled in a timely manner, I would've appreciated transparency and accountability. Whether or not my order was "stolen," this brought on unnecessary stress on me the day before my wedding.
It's been 2 weeks since the incident, and while they delivered my order, I would've appreciated an apology at the very least. I am hoping that they implement a better pick up system (e.g. checking IDs) so this doesn't happen to customers again in the future.
