Worst Susie cakes experience EVER! I ordered online, and when I got to the store it was super chaotic and unorganized! I went to the pick up line and the employee almost gave me someone else’s order because we had the same last name. Just careless! I got four slices of cake, and they all didn’t taste that fresh! The chocolate was the best! Although it made my stomach turn every time I ate a good portion of it! I soon discovered after eating almost the whole slice, that a STRAND of HAIR WAS INSIDE!!! It was NOT my hair because it was a brunette color. It was just one thing after another with these cakes from Studio City. super disappointed and will never come back!!!

Dropped in to buy a small 6 inch cake for my husband’s birthday. I didn’t order online ahead of time but they had several flavors in stock including the one I wanted (red velvet). The lady working there was so sweet and cheerful and quickly personalized it with beautiful lettering and sprinkles! I was so pleased with the friendly service and the cake was delicious!

I usually order cakes a few days ahead from this place but this time it was a last minute thing. Walked in and was greeted by a very kind woman whose name tag said she was in training. She was a joy! Made my day. I always alternate between the coconut and red velvet and they’ve consistently been outstanding for years. 10/10

I bought a carrot cake for my wife’s birthday. It was extremely and unpleasantly sweet. I could barely finish my slice. The carrot cake had so much raisins, cinnamon, heavy cream, super thick/sweet icing and other super sweet stuff that I couldn’t tell I was eating a carrot cake. I’d take any cake from a generic grocery store over this cake health AND taste wise. I am not happy with my purchase at all and I wish I bought something else.

I'm so tired of this place. Their slices keep getting smaller, the taste of the frosting changes due to, I assume, being cut with shortening or using cheaper ingredients. But I support them because they are still decent. I called in an order because I wanted a big cake. They told me to just fill out the form online. Dear, I called you to give you over a hundred bucks for a cake. You can give me a few minutes to help me order it! I'm tired of the cheapness and the lack of customer service.

I had heard lots about Susie Cakes over the years . I did not get to experience it before relocating to New York in 2018. To my delight , I am visiting Studio City and my good friend took me to the Studio city location. We bought a small MARBLE CAKE which is a superlative and some cupcakes. The staff was friendly & so helpful. Jenna at the counter took our order and supervised the writing and details of decoration . She was so courteous and the finishing touches made the cake PERFECT. I would go back repeatedly and suggest you do too!!!

I had an amazing experience at Susie's. They were so kind and helpful with the beautiful and delicious birthday cake. My family loves the variety of cakesthat they have. My personal favorite is the carrot cake and the red velvet. Susie's cakes never disappoint!!!! I highly recommend all of their cakes!!!

It's extraordinary place with the greatest cakes and the greatest people working there! It's like walking into the Wizard of Oz and seeing the Tin Man, scarecrow and the Cowardly Lion and the munchkins greeting you! It's a great place and fun people an extraordinary nice people!

Susiecakes is always the best. My all time faves are the carrot cake slices and vanilla cupcakes. The frosting is top notch. But this 5 star review is for Fontella - she was so sweet and generous, she gave us a free peanut butter cupcake to try! Thanks for the hospitality Fontella!

Ambiance is very open and welcoming. The place is clean, organized and delicious treats, etc. are always fresh and always a hit with parties and just for you to enjoy! I wish they had their own parking though, but all in all my go for cupcakes and cakes for any occasion. Service is top notch!

I love trying new bakeries and I was so excited to try Susie's as I've heard nothing but good things! As soon as you walk in, you're hit with a wonderful smell of baked goods and the display case is beautiful! You can order cakes, cookies, cupcakes and sometimes they have seasonal goodies! As it was our first time here, the woman working the counter was so kind and gave us a free cookie! We ended up getting a marble cake, strawberry cupcake and chocolate chip cookies My favorite was the cookies! You can really taste the brown butter in these and they are huge!! I wasn't a big fan of the cakes, thought it was too dry but I will always come back here for the service and cookies!

Awesome place for cakes and cupcakes! Friendly front counter staff that were super helpful and even offered me a complimentary cupcake since it was my first time being there. I had the Strawberry Rose cupcake and it was delicious. The icing was so creamy. Very comfortable and inviting inside. Parking is a challenge but there is a lot behind the store.

It's a staples for cakes now whenever we needed one for someone's birthday or a celebration. Service is always amazing. Stopping in to pick up sweets is always a pleasant experience. Cookies are always fresh. The whole cakes, always amazing and full of flavor. Also, if you want a slice, that's offered as well. Highly recommend this place.

3.5 stars. Ambiance is good, staff is attentive. While we were there, it became obvious that most people go to pick up cakes for occasions, etc. Half the display case is full sized cakes, and the other half is for cupcakes and cookies. I didn't find the cupcakes to be very impressive, and for the price (2 are about $10), they are quite small. Mint chocolate - This one was good, but I believe it's seasonal. Tiny candy cane sprinkles but unfortunately they are fondant sprinkles and not actual candy canes. Cake was a little heavy compared to the frosting Chocolate - A little frosting goes a long way here. It's quite sweet while the cake is not. The frosting is only a lick better than Ralph's bakery frosting for similarly sized cupcakes, which really disappointed me. On a better note, packaging was cute and protective of the goods. Rewards program seems to be good - download an app, and get a free cupcake the next time you come in. However nothing really blew me away with this location, and I won't be reaching back for it.

Decided to stop by and grab cupcakes since we were in the area. The employees welcomed us right away upon entering. The Pumpkin cupcake was recommended and it was amazing! I got a coconut, lime and vanilla one as well for my family and they loved them! Got a slice of The marble cake and it was so good! The frosting wasn't too sweet which was a plus

Such a sweet and cute place!! I was able to walk around when visiting Sherman Oaks. Suer walkable neighborhood, great location to also get lunch and shot. The AC was running which felt amazing cause they day was so hot THANK YOU! I got the red velvet and pumpkin special cupcake. So yummy! I talked with two people working the front and they were both very nice and personable. They welcomed me to the neighborhood and got me excited to explore some more! They even gave me a free cupcake! So nice!! They both were delicious...but just a tad on the dry end from other cupcakes I've had (but still giving 5 stars cause they were so yummy and everyone was so nice) This place is known for their cakes, so I will have to try those next! I will definitely be back!

I was so happy to find this Susie's in the valley. I love that you can park behind this location because it is on a busy street in a fast paced environment. They are a little pricey but the cake is delicious and if you buy it by the slice, you get a pretty big piece. The cakes are moist and yummy. I have had cookies and cupcakes as well, so I do recommend this place if you hunger for a sweet treat to satisfy your sweet tooth.

I picked up individual slices of the carrot and red velvet cakes for $7.95 each. A little pricey but both were sizable slices and definitely shareable. The carrot cake is really good but also very chunky with tons of nuts and raisins. I personally wish it was less filling with more actual cake, but this is my own preference. The red velvet was quite decadent and sweet, but also super satisfying. I liked that it wasn't just tons of frosting like some other places. I'd recommend both! The staff was really friendly and helpful in providing recommendations and seasonal offerings. The biggest downside for me was the minimal street parking available. I had to go around a few times to find a spot. Otherwise, it was a great experience!

Cupcakes are tasty and cute! But got the apple pie for thanksgiving last year, and it was DELICIOUS! There was quite a long line for pick up, but worth it.

This is my daughter's favorite bakeshop when it comes to cupcakes. That is why she would normally request birthday cupcakes here especially the red velvet ones. Because usually her dad would order another cake from a different bakeshop. However, this year, we were disappointed since before picking up the other cake (from the different bakeshop), we decided to dropy this branch to get some cupcakes. And so we ordered, 9 cupcakes with the Happy Birthday greeting (which is $1 more per cupcake), however, when we got home only 3 cupcakes had the happy birthday greeting which is truly disappointing. I even asked the cashier before leaving if we got everything with the happy birthday greeting and she said yes but upon opening the box at home that was NOT the case. It is disappointing because if they only checked it beforehand then this simple mistake could have been avoided. It is important to check the orders especially if greetings were requested. Also, the cakes here are pricier compared to other bakeshops plus the fact that there is an additional charge of $1 per cupcake just to have that greeting. For me, despite of the mixed reviews regarding the taste of their cakes and their frosting, I would say their cakes are delicious. This review is regarding the hassle of bringing home majority of the cupcakes without the bday greeting. So, I called this branch and let them know what happened and Guia said she will correct the pricing and will give us a slice of cake whenever we get the chance to dropby. This is a late review but this incident happened on April 7.

Super friendly service. I don't have a huge sweet tooth so I felt the cake was too sweet but everyone else loved it. I doused my slice with coffee which made it perfect. The people at the cake shop were really helpful and super sweet.

We got our wedding cake here. Slight snafu was that I felt a little bit misled because we were told if we bought a tasting kit, we would be credited the total we spent on the tasting kit to our final order. Only after paying for the tasting kit were we told that the wedding cake we were buying didn't count since it wasn't multi-tiered and we couldn't get the credit for the tasting kit. I thought that was confusing since my initial inquiry had been about a cake for 6 people. Other than that, our cake was very good, but I did feel it was a bit pricey for what it was. I initially misunderstood and thought they did not do any decorating but I was wrong. Overall, we were still happy with our cake and the marble flavor was a big hit.

For a while this was a weekly treat spot for us, but their cupcakes are definitely on the sweeter side. If you're not much of a sweet tooth, I'd recommend sharing a cupcake with someone. Great with coffee. Our favorites include the red velvet, strawberry, and I think the last I had tried was a pumpkin chai type? The cakes and cupcakes are moist and keep really well for events Pro tip- they mention not refrigerating the cake if serving that day to prevent it becoming dry

I definitely get all my cakes from Susiecakes studio city! I really enjoy they strawberry frosting and seasonal items. I also liked the berries and cream cake the best for cake. As far as cupcakes go they are pretty delicious. The only downside I will say is for my last order, I was not a huge fan of how the writing was in my cupcakes... I think there should have been something better or someone who could have done it better. More neat maybe. I definitely am taste over everything and they tasted delicious and it was not a big party or anything. I just think it could have been better. I recommend their cupcakes. I also had the gender reveal cake, the cake itself was not my favorite, but it was cute. The service is always beyond, everyone is so nice and friendly! They don't seem to hate their job from the service I've always received. I like that It's more of a pick up and go type of place! Their candles and cards are super chic, very fun and classy.

I stopped in here on a whim, as I was walking by yesterday. The signs on the window said they have pie, cookies, cake, and a variety of other things. I love pie and have yet to find a good pie shop in the valley, so I popped in, only to find they only have cakes and cupcakes. No sign of there having been pie or cookies or anything else earlier in the day, as there were no empty display case sections. I'm not a big cupcake fan, as I don't like frosting. But not wanting to awkwardly leave without buying anything, especially after the friendly greeting, I opted to get my husband a guiness cupcake and myself a red velvet cupcake. They were each just under 5 dollars. My cupcake's frosting was too plentiful for my taste, but probably perfect for most other people. It had good flavor without being overly sweet or stiff. The cake was also really good! It was moist and soft. Not too dense and not too light (anybody else feel unsatisfied when you eat cake that's TOO light?). Very good! My husband, who ate his cupcake many hours later had similar praise, and he generally isn't impressed by bakery cupcakes. So overall, tasty cupcakes, but disappointed in the lack of variety I was lead to believe was available by the signs on the windows. Still, if I am in my highly rare mood for a cupcake in the future, this is where I'll be headed.

I do not take desserts lightly, they are either good or they are not. These are GOOD. I've had this lemon cake before and find myself constantly craving it, it's not always in season but when it is I HAVE TO GET IT. First time trying the old fashioned chocolate and it's super rich, creamy, fluffy. Honestly best frosting I've ever had, cake is never dry, always moist and thick. Love this place!! Two slices came out to $17 but they're huge, literally couldn't finish in one or two sittings.

Susie cakes are always reliably good and sometimes great. They wouldn't accommodate a request for vanilla icing chocolate layer cake for my son's birthday. Apparently, the motto is " Special orders do upset us, Have it our way."

These are the best cupcakes I've ever had. The coconut one is the best but I also like chocolate, vanilla and pineapple upside down.

My favorite cake shop! Their cakes are always moist and decadent and really can't go wrong with any flavor. My favorites are the birthday cake flavors and chocolate flavor. A must try!

This review is for their cake. I ordered a soccer cake off the app. It was exactly what I wanted. We ate the whole thing and it was a 6-8 person size - we're a fam of 4. It was gone in a couple of days. The buttercream and layers are delightful, the cake is professionally done and the piping was beautiful. Our 9 year old son was so happy! The one star docking is for the cookies and a cupcake incident. The sugar cookies we recently got were, well, unremarkable for the price point. Hard, too buttery, with crispy icing. And on our most recent visit my wife bought 4 cupcakes home after work for the family to enjoy and one was incorrect. She got a vanilla cake/vanilla buttercream versus my favorite chocolate cake/white buttercream - a 1980s kid classic. I took this one personally, no cupcake for me :(

I just want to say while all of the dessert at Susie cakes is so worth it and delicious, the staff is truly unbeatable. I went to order a custom cake today for a gender reveal party and they were so patient, kind, and helpful. Always such a wonderful experience. I wish I asked for the guys name who helped me today so that I could include it. I'll always recommend susie cakes because it tastes incredible but the staff being as kind as they are is a nice bonus!

Ordered a cake online for my boyfriend's birthday. It was delicious and there were no leftovers. Pick up was quick and easy, service was very friendly, and we will definitely get something else another time!

Easy order, well choosing a flavor may be the hard part, and easy pick up. Gorgeous cakes and delicious. So far we have tried Luscious Lemon and Vanilla Celebration Cake. Looking forward to many more celebrations including these wonderful Susie Cakes!

We had a delightful experience at Susie Cakes! I had always heard great things and they truly lived up to their name! The variety of cakes they have was impressive and the flavors and textures were heavenly. Nothing we tried was dry in the least bit! The staff was also friendly and helpful walking us through everything, making it even more enjoyable for our group. The inside of the shop is also super cute. We ordered for a wedding as well and everything turned out perfect both aesthetically and in taste! Highly recommend for superb cakes! Wildly delicious And my new favorite bake shop!

My all-time favorite bakery in the valley has to be SusieCakes. And not just because of the delicious cakes and cupcakes but the staff. Anytime I visit - I'll leave with a smile. You are truly treated like a valued customer who cares about you :). I only will come here for friends birthday cakes, friends special occasions, etc. I am LOYAL! What a cute shop! Staff was super friendly and every thing looked delicious! Picked up a birthday cupcake for a coworker and it came with the cutest packaging! Highly suggest and I will be back!

The first time I experienced SusieCakes was when our friend sent us a carrot cake for a special occasion. It arrived nicely packaged and was the BEST carrot cake I'd ever had. I absolutely LOVED that it had a lot of nuts and substance other than cake. Last Thanksgiving, my favorite pie place sold out my must-have pecan pies. In a pinch, I ordered one from SusieCakes. It was a delicious pecan pie with a good amount of of pecans, but it was significantly pricier than my fav pie place and smaller. Nevertheless, I acknowledge that SusieCakes makes delicious desserts. I've never had their cupcakes - I am not into cupcakes at all.

This place came recommended by some friends from what they've heard. Had ordered a chocolate marble cake for my sister in law's birthday, the ordering process was easy and so was pickup! We were a little disappointed in the taste of the cake. It was dry and overly sweet. The frosting would have been enough but the chocolate chip chunks made it too sweet to eat. For the price we had expected something balance. Unfortunately we ended up throwing 3/4s of the cake away. My friend had also ordered a celebration cake that she wasn't impressed with either.

The best birthday cake I've ever had hands down. You even get to choose a free slice of cake on your birthday when you signup on the app. Everything I've ever gotten here has been delicious and worth it. I've now tried most of the flavors of cupcakes that they've had throughout the past two years and they're always delicious. I haven't had flavor I don't like!

Truly some of the best cupcakes you can get in the whole city, let alone anywhere! The buttercream frosting is unmatched and not too sweet. They have a great variety of flavors in the cases so I got a box of 4 and we couldn't even pick a favorite, they were all so flavorful. Coconut and lemon were standouts but truly all of them were a 10/10. They make for the best dessert to bring for celebrations and birthdays!

The cake deserves a four star, their practice deserves a one or less star. Delicious cakes, as always. But something caught my attention. I ordered a cake for my boss's going away party. it was ordered online. when i checked the receipt, I saw a "Healthy Team" tax. When I went to pick up the cake, I asked the young lady behind the counter what the "Healthy Team" tax was and she couldn't give me a direct answer. She fumbled over her words and eventually said that it was to cover the health care of the full time employees. Excuse me, but isn't that covered with the cost of the cake? I don't understand why after paying the exorbitant fee for the cake, which I don't mind paying, to then add an additional tax to cover the healthcare of the employees? What sense does that make? Susie Cakes - Take care of your employees!!!

It's probably good they have somewhat limited hours or I'd be here way too often. The staff is always lovely, super helpful and quick and all the cakes we've tried have been phenomenal. I'm pretty partial to their vanilla celebration cake (though it's super sweet so can only eat a few bites at a time!) We recently tried their berry seasonal flavor which was AMAZING. Definitely recommend!!

Absolutely delicious cake! I have tried the marble, chocolate, Red velvet and celebration cake with blue frosting. Each one was moist and sooo damn good! This place is dangerously close to my house! I definitely recommend this place 100% I order cake or cupcakes every year for my sons bday. I have definitely found my new place!

I came upon this store by accident. Customer service, superb. Andrea took great care of us. She talked me into the flourless peanut butter cookie. I was saying no way, is it vegan, etc. gross, lol. She swore by the flourless, not vegan by the way. Good texture, not too sweet, no nuts, it's a really good cookie. I tried the cupcake. Chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. The cupcake is devils food cake. Delicious, moist, i wish there were more of it. A lot of frosting. It's buttercream which i like, but i wasn't thrilled with their frosting. It wasn't bad, just a little waxy and somehow just didn't thrill my palet. It was good without the frosting and no need for sprinkles. They gave me a free chocolate chip cookie. The cookie itself , you bite into it. At first the flavor doesn't grab you, then the after taste comes in while you're chewing-delicious. Then you bite the cookie with a chip. Excellent chip choice. This is a very large cookie and a great tasting cookie. :)

Worst experience EVER We ordered a cake for a Bday and asked to have something written on the cake that is a joke between us and they refused to do it bc "of company policy". Susie's cakes is it's so extremely driven by political correctness that they have forgotten how to be human beings. The staff and the whole place operates like they have sticks up their asses. I will avoid this place like the plague and if you want to be treated with respect, you will take your business elsewhere that you're appreciated.

Yum! Cupcakes are a little on the small side but yummy non the less. And the people who work there are great. Super friendly and helpful! Definitely recommend.

SusieCakes is all about continuing legacy of making baked goods like grandma used to make. The current seasonal cupcake is the Chocolate Banana and it's amazing. Susie Sarich the owner wanted to start her own business so that women didn't have to leave hospitality. All her cakes and cupcakes are amazing locations all over LA and Texas. And her IG is hopeful and happy and bright.

I've been to this susies cakes a handful of times over the last 7 years. I've come here for their beautiful, tasty cakes with their vibrant colors. However, the last two times I've ordered cakes from there, there have been bad tastes, literally. 2nd to last time, son and I got sick from eating the cake next day; Stomach poisoning (2 years ago). This weekend, I had picked up a last min celebration cake for my Parents. I felt bad walking out of there spending $50+ for their smallest size celebration cake with some happy birthday writing on it. After being reminded how expensive the cakes run here, and how over frosted/sugary they are, I probably won't be back. It was embarrassing serving my family cake, and within the first bite, everyone asking for a large glass of water to wash it down with.

Goodness I love SusieCakes cupcakes - moist, flavorful and oh that icing ... such a guilty pleasure for me to swing by here and get a couple cup cakes to greedily stuff my face. LOVE their chocolate cupcakes with vanilla frosting. I also love their gingerbread people (in season) ... and their lemon cake is a winner, winner! Perhaps our new fave over Gelson's Princess cake??!!?? Parking is just a "2-3" ... as this location is ALWAYS busy with folks jockeying for a space - lots of eateries and juice bars packed into a block - and who the heck wants to valet for a 5 minute yum yum stop??

Delicious cakes!! I got the red velvet cake and the marble cake for my son's birthday! What a hit! Everyone was so impressed by the quality and freshness! Had to try the cookies and cupcakes too! I got so spoiled by these items, I can't go anywhere else!

Tasty. Though on the sweater side. So if you don't like sweet and heavy, their cakes and cupcakes are not it especially if you're a more whipped cream. Their cakes I will say buying a slice is so much more moist and soft than a cupcake. Funfetti is the favorite but the blueberry when they have them in season is also a favorite.

I got a beautiful smash cake for my birthday photo shoot and the cake was absolutely delicious. The only thing that sucks is the parking can be so much challenging but they do deliver to your car which is great. I also love their chocolate chip cookies so that's definitely a must. Their signature lemon cake is absolutely amazing and I must.

I love Susie Cakes, and ordered their 2 tier cake for my wedding! I thought it wouldn't bother me but in hindsight, looking at my wedding pictures feeling a little bummed that the cake didn't come in the texture as shown in the image when you order. Our cake ended up looking very plain and nothing special, but the cake was good! I would've just gotten the single layer for a quarter of the price. I rated it a 4 because I do love their cakes, but my wedding cake was a 3 at best.
