We arrived at the Vineyard on a beautiful sunny day. Erik who happens to be a sommelier led us on a walk about the vineyards on the property for about 30 minutes. I learned things about making wine that I never knew before which is really enlightening. We then moved up to a ranch site where we tasted the wines that we had seen growing in the field. The wines are spectacular the day was spectacular and I would recommend this experience to anyone!

Sutro Wine Company is a wonderful place to experience the true beauty and essence of wine making in the Healdsburg region of Sonoma. I encourage everyone to take a private tour of the vineyard, led by owner Alice Sutro, to enjoy the artistry and amazing care that goes into the delightful wines she creates. After a leisurely hike through the vineyard you are invited to join Alice for a wine-tasting of her newest release at her tasting room. We had an amazing time learning about the vast beauty of Alice's vineyard and creative approach of producing her delightful wines. Thank you Alice for a gifted and treasured day.

These wines are the best!!! My favorite is always the one I have in my glass! Beautifully balanced Sauvignon Blanc and a very fun (and delicious) Rosè that came out this summer! The reds are beyond good! If you get the chance, message the owner and she offers a great hike/tour on the property where the grapes grow that goes over her family and the land. Very cool! Perfect variation to all the other more formal tastings out there. You will NOT be disappointed by any of the wines or by the wonderful wine maker. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🤩

Alice, Eric, and the team at Sutro wine were so wonderful for our visit. It makes all the difference to get to know the stories and the people behind the product, and Alice and Eric share their knowledge with such passion and yet humility and approachability. What a beautiful and tranquil place, a wonderful walk with great people, and above all else incredibly good wine which comes from an independent and inspiring operation.

WHAT AN ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS EXPERIENCE. Alice is an incredible host. She is extremely passionate about the entire process of wine making (her family ranch, her side of the wine making business, the importance of the land, resources, and history of where she plants, grows, harvests, and processes wine, and then the actual wine making process and how she got started) and wants to share that with her visitors. The Warnecke ranch is a beautiful property passed down and cherished for generations, and that love is so obvious during Alice's tour. In addition to a wonderful walking tour, the wine tasting at the end was just the cherry on top. Alice describes her process for each wine, is willing to answer lots of questions, and her wine is absolutely stunning. The entire visit is so personalized, not rushed, a wonderful opportunity to learn and get to know Sutro Winery. I cannot wait to go back. Thank you Alice!

We enjoyed our visit to Sutro! We signed up for the hike experience and we got to see the soils and vines up close. Kaitlin Childers gave the tour, and we learned a great deal about the ins and outs from growing the grapes through the harvest. We then had a tasting of a variety of their wines. This visit was special and personal. Loved it!

A visit to Sutro Wine Co. in Alexander Valley is the perfect way to start a day of wine tasting in this beautiful area of Sonoma County. Alice gives a guided tour of the Warnecke ranch including Chalk Hill and the history dating back to her ancestors. Alice answered many questions from our Nebraska farm boys! Kaitlyn was our wine hostess and educator during our wine tasting on the Medlock-Ames property. Kaitlyn poured excellent Sutro wines, answered questions and let us taste at our own pace. We even were able to enjoy our own picnic lunch on the property with some Sutro wine. Thank you, Alice and Kaitlyn, for your gracious hospitality!!

We had the most wonderful hike with Alice and her cute as a button daughter a couple weeks ago!! Drinking delicious wine is one thing. Seeing first hand where the grapes are grown is something everyone should do and if you can, do it with Alice! She is a wonderful host. Her family's stewardship of the land is truly impressive!

We enjoyed a gorgeous clear day for our visit to Sutro. The ranch is stunning and Alice was so knowledgeable about the property and pointed out all sorts of interesting geologic, viniculture, and family history sites along the way. She was very accommodating to our group, including multiple young children. And THE WINE! My husband and I were blown away by how beautifully constructed and delectable each varietal was and joined the wine club before we left. We can't wait to return! Came to hike the vineyards and learn, left totally smitten and happy. Alice introduced us to Warnecke Ranch, absolutely appreciated and adored the views and really love the journey of Alice and evolution of her wines. Such an inspiring female creator with a passion to be enjoyed and a smile to treasure. Definitely recommend coming for a tour then picking up some gorgeous wines in town for a relaxing evening.
