My wife and I have been on a what was supposed to be a two week road trip/vacation and anniversary to Southern California and a stop in Roseville to visit my in-laws and it turned out to be almost three weeks now since we left from our town in Northern Nevada. Unfortunately, that was hampered by getting some type of urinary tract infection that spread to my kidneys. It held up our trip in Central California and delayed our visit to Roseville when it hit me about a week ago now. I was treated on an outpatient basis in Central California and two days later we made our way to Roseville. After a nine hour drive which should have been six I started feeling sick again and the pain was excruciating. I finally decided to come to the emergency department the next morning and am I ever glad I did. Despite the waiting room being almost full and busy, I saw the triage nurse almost immediately and shortly after that I saw a provider at which point she ordered labs and meds for me. Shortly after that, I was in a room and greeted by Phillip the emergency department nurse and along with his coworker, Grant another great RN. The emergency department physician Doctor Herman was amazing and very compassionate and understanding. I received my meds within twenty minutes of being placed in the room. I was informed later by Phillip that I was being admitted to try and get the infection and pain under control. When I got to my room I was greeted by my nurse Karla F, she was the best and along with the other nurse Heather. They were so kind and compassionate which is sometimes find to come across in some hospital settings these days. My night nurse Cody was great as well. They checked on me frequently and made sure I was comfortable. The nurse assistants Jaime, Cassandra, Maden and Stacey were just as awesome and went out of their way to help me. My other nurses, Barb, MaryAnn, Amelia, Alexa, Kat and Giselle were all so amazing. My hospitalists Dr. Ahmed, Dr. Sulsh and Dr. Chippa were without a doubt the best physicians along with Dr. Herman that I have ever encountered and if only they were closer to me and accepting new patients for primary care, I'd switch in a heartbeat. And how the hospital recognizes their staff that are veterans is awesome and talking with them and hearing about their military career is just as awesome. To me and I would recommend Sutter Roseville Medical Center to anyone without any hesitation. Keep up the good work!
