The San Francisco and East Bay Matcha Map

"After picking up a new book or a few magazines at Kinokuniya, wander into this dollhouse of lacy curtained Victoriana in the shadow of Japantown’s Peace Pagoda. The dainty china settings are serene, but the matcha delivers a serious buzz. Not a place for conversation, laptops, nor a gaggle of friends, just a quiet matcha moment made without haste by the unassuming Japanese owner behind the counter." - Laurie Jo Miller Farr, Janelle Bitker

5!of is came here for lunch. Luckily, there was a lull and we were able to get seated easily. I’m normally not a fan of udon but the curry nabeyaki udon was delicious. They have a lunch special where you can get discounted sides. One of my dining companions figured this out which was great since they weren’t hungry and the sides were perfect.

The food is delish! Huge portions as well. Best ramen in the mall! Our waitress Nan was also sooooo nice and smiley!!! Loved it

Google
What a great find!!!! The best in the Mall! Food was soo good and the person attending us (Nan) was lovely. The quantity is very generous so I’d recommend sharing :)

Google
no frills udon place in japantown mall. enjoyed udon mugizo better but good second option. shoyu nabeyaki udon: solid with lots of toppings. egg was overcooked.

First time coming here. The food was amazing! The service was welcoming and warm and we love the intimate atmosphere. My husband and I both got a noodle dish and then added a donburi bowl. So much food!

Nathalie Grob

Google
They have good Soba noodles here and the food was coming very fast! Good when you are hungry! It is a small place inside the mall.

Google
*Chicken Veggie Ramen + Karaage Don combo: lots of veggies!!!! Karaage don is wonderful to split among 3 since there's only 3 chicken on top of the bowl of rice *Spicy Tofu Ramen: Kimchi is surprisingly close to the taste of Kimchi you'd eat from Korea (according to our parents), for the tofu and kimchi lover Chashu ramen: chasu is not overly fatty! That's what I consider high quality There's three south broths you can choose from! We had originally come in as a family of five with our two dogs. The staff had let other people with smaller parties in first, so we had to follow up to ask if they can divide our party with us kiddos sitting separate from our parents and the dog. They quickly accommodated us. Service was quick, and when we asked for recommendations for soup broth combos and what they recommend in the menu, we really liked what we were recommended! The portions are generous for ~$15 per ramen bowl.

My friend and I don't have much knowledge of Japanese food. The restaurant had pictures of noodles on the windows. The waiter was very rude to us and didn't give us enough time to decide on our dishes. We asked her many questions to find something we would like, but she was impatient and rude. In the end, my friend received a dish she couldn't eat, but the waiter refused to replace it, saying it wasn't her fault. My ramen was good, but I won't be returning to this place with such poor service.

Yelp
We went for a weekend lunch but was able to sit pretty quickly. The waiters were nice and there was ample seating. I ordered the karaage curry which was good. I asked for extra ginger and they were very nice about it when I asked. I think the curry was better than the fried food that it came with. The downside was that we had to wait over 20 minutes because they forgot half of our order. My friend finished eating before our food came out.

Yelp
Stopped by for lunch and was impressed by the quick and fast service. Diversity is nice and there is something for everyone-- eg you can get a traditional hot shouyu ramen while someone else can get a cold soba. Ambiance is simple and no frills. My ramen came out in under 3 min. While ramen isn't as good as marufuku on the second floor, it's a decent option, at a reasonable price..

Yelp
Suzu is a convenient choice for a no-fuss, well-priced meal! I got the karaage bento, with light and crispy pieces of chicken covered in a slightly tangy tonkatsu-like sauce. The rice and vegetables were a little disappointing; the vegetables were bland and the rice was dry. They give a big portion of tempura which is fried up rather nicely! The service here is great! There was a mixup with two orders in my party, but the waitress resolved it by providing the missing parts of the order immediately.

Yelp
One of the many noodle houses in Japantown. This one is pretty decent but I think lacks a little something. There is a wide variety of ramen, soba, and udon to choose from with plenty of side dishes as well. The hiyashi ramen with shrimp tempura was pretty good. I like that it comes with a kakiage. The sauce, however, was a bit underwhelming. I would've much preferred a sesame sauce which is thicker and would coat the noodles better. Service was very good.

Yelp
I stopped by this place when I wanted to grab something real quick to get warm as I was in the city during a pretty cold day. Suzu did the job - they very quickly brough out my vegetarian ramen. This restaurant is inside the Japantown mall, near one of the entrances, and as it was the first warmfood place I saw, I decided to go with Suzu. I have 3 stars because it is difficult to make vegetarian ramen taste memorable. I'm glad I had something warm to eat, but it was nothing spectacular. The inside of the restaurant felt kind of cozy. I remember it being dimly lit with wood-like walls that would drown out the sound of the noises outside in the mall. Because of this cocoon-like ambiance, I was able to also read abit while eating (book in my review - it's a book that takes place in Japan, coincidentally). Maybe one of these days if I'm ever back, I'll try to taste some other things on their menu.

Yelp
Dinner in SF Japantown and the family headed to Suzu Noodle House. My wife and son had been here before and loved their ramen. I'm a ramen guy too so I'm very particular about my ramen. The service is great as we were seated right away, and our server provided us with menus as soon as we sat down. The place is small, yet warm and friendly. My wife ordered the spicy tofu ramen (shoyu), my son the chicken kaarage ramen (shoyu), my daughter the beef ramen (miso), and I ordered the Suzu Ramen (miso) which had fried gyoza, pork, and chicken kaarage. We also ordered a side of seaweed salad and kim chee. Our food came out quickly, the ramen bowls hot and delicious! If you're in San Francisco Japantown and craving a bowl of ramen, look no further than Suzu Noodle House. They also have on their menu soba and udon noodle selections as well.

Yelp
Went to this noodle spot in the Japantown mall because my group didn't want to wait an hour for the udon upstairs (udon mugizo) and it makes sense why it's never super busy here. The food was decent but really forgettable and just felt like it was lacking overall in flavor and quality. Unfortunately I don't think I'd come here again, especially when there are better options in the same area.
google avatar

Aria H.

Yelp
Truly an underrated Japantown gem. My boyfriend and I have gone to the udon and ramen places upstairs way too many times, so we decided to try this place downstairs. I got udon and he got ramen, and we were both pleasantly surprised. The broth was very flavorful and both dishes were very unique and different from their upstairs counterparts. My udon came in a hot pot with tempura, vegetables, egg, and tofu. I enjoyed the variety of toppings. I chose the miso broth and absolutely loved it. I couldn't get enough of the broth. My boyfriend got the soy sauce based broth for his ramen and enjoyed it a lot. He said it was really delicious, with plenty of toppings as well. Overall really good food, crazy fast service, and a rather decent price range. We will be going back for sure!
google avatar

Sanuikna S.

Yelp
The service is always pleasant and calm. We were able to be seated immediately on a Friday. The broth was a little sweet to me but it could be the pregnancy hormones lol.
google avatar

Yelp
The meal was decent but nothing standout. The chicken katsu was definitely preferable to the pork, which was a bit more dry and tough. Curry was decent but a little muted in terms of flavor. Bento box came with nice a cooked cabbage mix, seaweed salad, potato salad, and pickled radish; again decent but nothing that memorable.
google avatar

Sumiya M.

Yelp
Last week our family visited to this place. We ordered Shoyu favor Suzu ramen, Miso flavor tempura udon / they have a 3 choice of noodles and you can substitute noodles if you want/ and chicken katsu don. Food was delicious and very fast. / Faster than Mcdonald / Service was good, see you next time Suzu.

Yelp
Suzu is always busy, usually a wait out the door, but respectfully worth it and great noodle soup flavors! We were in JT window shopping and enjoying the hustle and bustle of once again a thriving shopping center. Noodle soup was on our agenda and we've visited a majority of the usual haunts in the mall...Suzu appeared to be a new noodle on the block! Firstly service was impeccable. The two servers worked together in tandem making sure all the tables, including the outside ones were managed and taken care of. We ordered some starters, 4 noodle soups, and one bento box togo. Rich bold flavors on the soup and the ramen noodles were perfectly al dente- chewy not soggy, firm and lovely! Place is giving fast paced, turning out customers quickly, but they let you take the time to eat! Will definitely come back once we're JT again! Arigato gozaimashita!

Yelp
Overall the food was alright. Bento box with tonkatsu was my favorite. Tonkatsu was well made - juicy and tender, with a nice crispy. Tempura for soba was a little oily. When tempura is fried in oil that is hot enough, it shouldn't be this oily. So this was a pass for me. Ordered a pork belly bowl but they provided a karaage bowl. Both were so so. Karaage is not what I'm used to as there wasn't a nice crispy to it. Pork belly on the other hand was too sweet.

Yelp
I tend to throw caution to the wind when my dad gets excited about a restaurant like will it be good? One of his criteria is bargain eating things costing under $20 and big portions. This place does hit the mark on that. This is why there are long lines for this place. Like other reviewers said just because it's long lines doesn't mean it's excellent mind blowing food. So with that summary you can see why the reviews are split from being bad, average and great. It depends on your personal preference in what type of food you are looking for. So yes, if you bargain hunter then you will like this I ordered the extra Tempura Don with rice combination with my main dish Karaage with Japanese fried chicken Ramen. I was satisfied with my Tempura craving so that was good. The fried chicken I have to admit is the highlight and you should order it outside the soup so you will enjoy the crispiness of it. With that, I rate the fried chicken an A because it had great flavor, tenderness and crispness that was very yummy in my tummy. It gave great flavor to the otherwise no much flavor soup. My dad ordered the Chicken Veggie Ramen this has lots of veggies which was good and of course he enjoyed everything he ate. No complaints from him. Mom ordered Cha Shu Ramen with lots noodles and one bok choy and she like me complained about why only one bok choy stem?! Slices of pork were good. Like why can't you add 6 more veggies to it?! She said she will not travel this far for this ramen. It is good but something is missing. Are veggies expensive?! All noodles served pipping up, safe to eat mostly noddles than vegetables, perhaps fast comfort food under $20 for main dish is reason to go here. You will be full for sure. But if you are like me who wants to be wowed and impressed with the taste and quality , then this is not restaurant for you.

Yelp
Grew up coming to Japantown (10+ years ago) and distinctly remember my mom and I loving this restaurant so I thought while visiting for the first time in years with my bf that it would hold up... Really below average ramen in my opinion, we both were underwhelmed by our orders. Just feels like mall food. Agedashi tofu was decent though.
google avatar

Peter K.

Yelp
I've been coming here for nearly a decade. Has it been that long? Get the house ramen, with extra corn, and an extra soft boiled egg, a side croquette, and side of curry rice. This is too much food, but do it anyhow. It's a delight. Place upstairs is good, but it's often too busy and crowded, and I like this place better.
google avatar

Nancy P.

Yelp
This place has inside and outside seating. They used to have lines out the door but we can get seated pretty quickly these days. Service is fast, food is good, and I'm glad we can get in and out pretty quickly. I ordered the Nabeyaki udon today. Noodles were nice and hot, and it came with a good amount of noodles, tofu, cabbage, and tempura.
google avatar

Joanne K.

Yelp
The food here is just okay. If you're in a rush and looking for a quick meal, this will be a good fit. Portions are decent, but flavor is lacking. Takoyaki made for a good appetizer. Unfortunately for the Ebi tempura Ramen, I really think they should separate the tempura from the soup otherwise the tempura just gets soggy. I commend the waitress who provided decent customer service during a busy afternoon.
google avatar

Bryan L.

Yelp
I've seen this restaurant a few times and I finally got a chance to try it with a group of 6. It's usually crowded so I would recommend coming here for lunch service. The wait was not too bad, my group was seated after about ten minutes. The place gives an izakaya vibe more than a ramen shop if that matters. The menu can look intimidating but the ramen is what you should pick. I got the curry nabeyaki udon which definitely looks and smells pretty good. Unfortunately I don't think the flavor quite translates. It might be better to have cold noodles instead to make it more of a tsukemen. It also felt strange only being served half an ordinary boiled egg. Service was fairly good nothing out of the ordinary. Overall much like a lot of the stores in japantown, it is worth trying once. I did not completely enjoy it but it is definitely worth a shot.
google avatar

Kiyomi K.

Yelp
Ordered the Hiyashi udon for staff and a lot of people loved it. I was a bit confused with the salad dressing as I just mixed the greens with the noodles. As a preference, I do like Hiyashi chuka more but on a hot day, ordering any cold noodles is refreshing.
google avatar

Madhu J.

Yelp
This is restaurant for sure doesn't know what tsukemen is. The broth was watered down, unlike the rich tsukemen broth, it was watery than ramen. And the noodles was standard ramen noodles, not the chewy tsukemen noodles. And the spicy miso tasted more like tomato sauce. To top it off they just piled on a bunch of toppings that just didn't belong in tsukemen.
google avatar

Alisa B.

Yelp
It is decent ramen! The kakuni was really tender and flavorful. The noodles were cooked well. The broth was a little salty though. I think the biggest downside is the lack of attention-to-detail. The servers never checked on us, they didn't bring us water, and one of our orders came out incorrectly. The place wasn't super busy on a Sunday either.
google avatar

Min Z.

Yelp
Located downstairs at the Japan Center, Japantown. Less touristy than the main floor. I was told by locals that it was the best Ramen restaurant. I have tried Ramen before and it was good. The prices were inexpensive, the noodles were great and the atmosphere was casual. The service was very efficient. I ordered: Miso Ramen: Al dente noodles in seasoned miso broth with egg, vegetables and pork. Not salty and delicious!

Aindrila M.

Yelp
The spicy ramen is surprisingly great! Love the simple setting and efficient service.

Susan S.

Yelp
The Shoyu ramen here is good! Simple yet satisfying. We also had the chicken teriyaki bento. This too was very good. If you're looking for nice and simple place to have lunch in Japantown, would recommend this place.

Yelp
My friends and I came here for lunch and it wasn't as busy. The space is small but cozy, and they also have some seating by the restaurant's exterior along the hallway (somewhat adjacent to the restrooms on the first floor). I ordered their signature "Suzu Ramen". They offer shoyu or miso broth and I opted for their miso broth. Our orders came within less than 10 minutes. On top of my Suzu Ramen included a piece of pork, 2 pieces of fried gyoza, 2 pieces of chicken karage, soft boiled egg, corn kernels and bok choy. Thankfully, the ramen noodles were not soggy and complemented well with the warm miso broth. Although I couldn't savor the crispiness of the chicken karage and gyoza, it still had the umami flavor. While ramen was perfectly for the chilly weather in San Francisco lately, I took my sweet time to finish my order because it was savory. I'll be back again at Suzu in case I'm craving for some homemade authentic ramen in Japantown.

Yelp
My family enjoyed the food here and everything was cool until we had paid our bill and I was waiting for my family to return from looking at a nearby shop. That's when, low and behold, out popped a little rat scampering around the floor. Now it didn't gross me out and it's not the restaurant's fault because it was outside the actual restaurant and it is located a few yards away from the street entrance so these things will happen. It's just that this isn't exactly an everyday occurrence, for me anyway. The only other experience I had like that is when a mouse was climbing the curtains at the Golden Palace in Chinatown, Los Angeles years ago before they closed. We able to bring our corgi since they have a few tables outside the actual restaurant. Unfortunately, that's where ratatouille came to hang with us as well after our meal. At least he was polite enough to wait until we were done. Everything else was pretty good although the server didn't care check on us during the meal. She did bring more water at the end but that was about it. My wife didn't think I should mention our little friend but I felt it would be a disservice to my fellow Yelpers not to mention this since this did occur in a dining area. I don't think it reflects the cleanliness of the actual restaurant and I don't want to intentionally drive away business but I'd want want to know if someone had seen this.
google avatar

Carmencita S.

Yelp
The place is small but clean. The service is friendly, fast and efficient. The food is fresh and very good. Highly recommended.

Yelp
We were craving anything with chicken katsu, and stumbled across Suzu while walking around the bottom floor! It's definitely more tucked away compared to many other food spots in Japantown, but their prices seemed quite a bit lower. Yay! There's both indoor and outdoor (still inside, but outside the restaurant) seating, although the outdoor seating is limited. There was only one person working, but she was very kind and patient. We both went for the chicken katsu bento box, which was fairly priced at $13. It came out after around 10 minutes, and we were both so happy with our order! There was a good variety of bento items- a chicken stir fry, seaweed and potato salads, ginger, and of course the rice and katsu. The chicken katsu was fried perfectly, the chicken was still tender and juicy while the breading was light and crispy. A perfect katsu if you ask me! I wish it came with more seaweed salad, but the portion sizes was good overall and we were satisfied at the end.

Minh N.

Yelp
This is my personal favorite ramen place in the city, because I personally don't like super rich ramen and I love how the broths offered here are simple and also they aren't charging you 18+ for ramen noodles! My repeat order here is the Suzu ramen with the miso soup. This is a great Ramen joint you can just walk in to get your ramen fix on. I also love their Karaage and shrimp tempura!
google avatar

Yelp
Had really bad service and experience during lunch on a Thursday, definitely wasted our money that day.

Cathy S.

Yelp
The food is tasty and comforting, and the service is super fast! We had croquette curry rice and tempura udon.
google avatar

Yelp
The food is just average, the waitress was nice, and the restaurant was clean. The dinning room has limited tables (8) inside & (4) roughly.

Yelp
I've always come here in high school for a classic bowl of ramen before every other place opened up in Japantown. It's an older restaurant and Suzu is pretty much an OG here in this place. Before other places like Hinodeya or Marufuku opened up, this was the place to be if you wanted a decent bowl of ramen. And you could expect a long wait too before you could even get seated on the weekends. Suzu is basically your standard comfort ramen joint. It's not the best nor is it bad in any way. They don't do anything flashy or anything that feels out there, it's just a simple bowl of broth and noodles. And it's good. I normally usually get their karaage ramen but this time, I got their kakuni miso ramen this time. Their broth was pretty good. It had a good amount saltiness from the miso and the soup's overall flavor was flavorful. Although I do think their kakuni was a little too tough for me. For me, pork belly is fatty and soft, but their meat was more on the tougher side, which I'm assuming they used a chewier cut on the pork instead. Was a little disappointed but it's okay, the overall soup made up for it. Overall, service was quick and friendly. Their ramen isn't the best, but if you want a good bowl of noodles that doesn't require you to wait in line for hours nowadays, definitely stop by.
google avatar

Y. Q.

Yelp
Tried their ramen. It's too Expensive and not much content. Do not recommend. I haven't tried other items from them recently.

Yelp
Suzu has several tables right outside of their small restaurant, in the mall area, that they set up during covid times. My friend and I asked to sit at one of those tables to avoid the tiny, crowded interior. We went to Suzu *specifically* for those outside tables. My friend lives with a person who's vulnerable to covid, so we're still careful when we eat out. The waitress said the outside area was closed and sat us at a table inside. We really weren't comfy with sitting inside, but due to time issues we couldn't look for another restaurant in Japan Center. Halfway through our meal, a mom & dad with a toddler sat themselves down at one of the outside tables. My friend and I watched as the waitress -- who told us that the outside tables were closed -- brought menus to the family and took their order. When she came back in she said, "Oh, sorry, they already sat themselves down out there so I couldn't tell them to move." WTF, lady? Of course she could have told them to move to keep things fair. The polite ones who *asked* if they could sit outside were told no. The ones who just sat themselves down without even checking in with a host or server were given a pass. The best part was that our server was wearing a mask *and* gloves, so she was all about self-protection, but obviously didn't give a rat's arse about the customers. No thanks, Suzu, we won't be back.
google avatar

Sylvia Y.

Yelp
Was initially planning to eat at Marufuku for lunch but accidentally came here instead and didn't realize it was Suzu Noodle House until I was seated. I ended up getting the Char Su ramen with miso soup base. The servers were friendly and I could tell they are super efficient so the wait for my food wasn't too long. The noodle portions met my expectations. The char-su was a bit tough (basically no fatty part in it). They only gave half a soft boiled egg, green onions, and 1 leaf of bok choi. Although it was nice that the broth wasn't very oily or overly salty. Overall I would say the ramen is just so-so (not bad) and I would recommend if you were in a rush or super hungry.
google avatar

Rogelyn W.

Yelp
Just OK. We came here because the wait at Marufuku was too long. Food is not bad, but also nothing to brag about. Service is also a little slow.

Yelp
While in Japantown I was looking for a quick lunch and noticed they had Japanese curry on the menu, so I knew I had to stop. They had a few open tables on the outside of the restaurant (but still indoors) in the mall area, and was able to snag a table right away. I'm a sucker for all things Japanese curry, especially with some nice crispy pork tonkatsu. My other vice is gyoza, so I went for both. The gyoza I'd skip next time around, all I could really taste was the cabbage inside, other than that, it was pretty forgettable. The curry tasted like the golden curry you could get from the store, but honestly I love brand, so the flavors for me were pretty good. They give a really big portion and the curry comes with the veggies and pieces of chicken. I appreciated that they kept the tonkatsu above the curry, so it didn't get soggy and stayed crisp. The tonkatsu was slightly above average. For $12.95, it's a good portion of food and super filling! Also came with miso soup. They have a ton of ramen options, plus you can add on small rice bowls and other appetizers. So the array of options is great for those seeking both ramen and rice plates. Prices are pretty reasonable across the board in comparison to some of the neighboring ramen joints. Needing a quick lunch, I was in and out of there in under 25 minutes. Food came out in less than 10 minutes after ordering and was much better option than getting a grab and go bento from the surrounding supermarkets.

Yelp
Good service + noodles... with keraage!!! - - - - - - - - Our daughter and I visited San Jose, CA, and the Bay area one mid-October weekend. We had a good time. After a day exploring San Francisco, Sausalito, and the Marin Headlands, we were driving around the peninsula and found ourselves near Japan Town. We thankfully found street parking about two blocks away then found Suzo Noodle House. It's simple, with close tables and good food. We ordered miso ramen and edamame. After hearing our table neighbor order, we asked what keraage (ker-ah-gee) is and he shared that it's Japanese fried chicken, so we ordered some of that, too. Our table neighbor is right... keraage is GOOD and belongs in ramen... nice! Thank you, Suzo noodle house, and our table neighbor, (who works at Yahoo with search analytics)! ----- -----
google avatar

Milton Y.

Yelp
This ramen joint was the bomb for me given the multitude of choices in Japantown. I always order the chicken karaage ramen with miso broth.
google avatar

Sara S.

Yelp
My god this has to be the best chicken katsu curry I've ever had. It was filled with flavor and just so tasty! I also got some spicy noodles which were very tasty! Our waitress was very quick to bring out our order. Ambiance was very chill! Quick bite.
google avatar

Tim P.

Yelp
Simone else wrote "cheap and consistent" and I'd echo that to say food is super affordable and reliably satisfying. So don't expect hand made noodles and week long simmered broth. Go upstairs and wait an hour for that. The veggie ramen will feed two people. Be advised. I favor the cold soba or cold udon with tempura. And the agedashi tofu. Been enjoying things here for years and plan to continue e doing so.
google avatar

Danny L.

Yelp
Great food, great service, and awesome prices! Super reasonably priced for the amount and quality of food you get. I recommend this place especially over some of the more expensive options on Restaurant Row

Yelp
First time at this restaurant. Had the Kakuni pork braised belly ramen. The noodles where perfectly Al dente. I know it's Japanese but truly firm. Delicious sauce. The daikon salad was light and refreshing. My husband had the beef bento box. Marinated trimmed rib eye . Delicious. The nice thing too was that we walked in and was seated right away, lucky timing.

Yelp
Lunch 12/18/2 Japan Town outing with the family, and since the more popular places had an hour plus wait, we ended up at Suzu Noodle House. I wasn't expecting much since the last time we ate in Japan Town was so terrible, but Suzu wasn't as bad as I anticipated. We ordered the Tempura Bento Box, Spicy Ramen, Curry Ramen and Cold Noodle Udon. Everything was average. Typical for touristy places like Japan Town. My husband and son said they used the wrong noodles for their ramen. They used Chinese noodles that are better for pan fried noodles instead of ramen noodles for soup. My tempura was average too, but you can't really screw up fried. My daughter said her cold udon noodles were good but nothing to write home about. They ask to see proof of vax upon entry, but not really sure if they really check it since she just glanced at it quickly. Not the best food we had, but it filled our bellies.
google avatar

Clarence A.

Yelp
While in Japantown there are several places to eat but during covid you are required to have a vax card handy to eat in the restaurant, and wait for some of these places are crazy long. Just a word to the wise go during the week days less people, less foot traffic, less stress. Lugging around a family of 4 is not fun during the weekend, any place you want to try is an easy 35min to an hour wait. Here are some of the things sampled and how all of it faired Ramens Shio flavor - decently flavored, hearty, not to salty, noodles were springy, try this Karaage ramen miso flavor - obviously the karaage gets soft if you don't eat them first, no need to rush, just take them out of the bowl to consume at your leisure. miso flavor i'm not a real fan of, again noodles springy, added meats and sauces were ok, again choose something other then miso haha unless you have kids then you kind of don't have a choice haha Ramen miso flavor - standard bowl no frills, springy noodles basic broth, shared bowl with the wife and daughter, if you like basic, this is the most basic bowl you can get Karaage - piping hot, semi large cuts of chicken, could use a dipping sauce other then just a lemon Mixed tempura - 2 of the straightened prawns, some broccoli, some yam slices, and few other slices, decent, piping hot with side sauce for dipping Edamame - can't mess this up, appetizer definitely a fan favorite for my family, order this haha bottom floor close to the toy shop and across from the Korean bbq spot, small seating area inside and small seating outside tables meant for couples if not 4 people food *** order the ramen but try something other then miso flavor, Shio flavor was good, I would order it again price $$ service *** you have to wave them down to ask for anything ambiance *** older restaurant, constantly wiping down everything down due to covid, vax card required to eat here

Yelp
I was running a work errand in Japantown and thought I'd stop by Suzu Noodle House to order some food to go. I went on a Thursday around 2pm and it was packed!! The lady there was so kind, she helped me decide on the Katsu Curry and even asked me about my day! My order was finished within 10 minutes and it was still pretty fresh 20 minutes later when I went back to work. I loved how savory the curry was! Will definitely be stopping by here again!
