"Passing the famous Swedish Theatre, a resplendent neoclassical circular building at the head of Esplanadi. The theatre was built in 1860 to replace Helsinki’s first theatre, the Engels Theatre, which was named after its architect: Carl Ludvig Engel." - The MICHELIN Guide Nordic Editorial Team
A great theater with its own unique vibe. I definitely recommend it to avid theatergoers. The productions are very diverse, catering to every taste. They also have excellent lighting. It turns any scene into a masterpiece.

I had an absolutely amazing time at this theater! The interior design is simply stunning, and the fact that the musical was available with English subtitles through the app made the experience even more enjoyable. I recommend visiting this theater!

Best Theatre building in Finland. Good selection of plays and shows, mostly in Swedish. Recent renovation work has been well done. Good and drink facilities in and around the building are also very good, and for all budgets!

A really beautiful theater, with plays mostly in Swedish. Finnish "subtitles" were available. The building as such is like a museum. You can by snacks and drinks for the pause.
