Matt and Gabe are awesome! I can easily say that anything less than 5 stars for a rating doesn’t make sense. All the wines we’ve been served have come with cool facts regarding where they come from (California for the win!), and they always make sure to keep your water glass full. It’s great that you can feel comfortable here regardless how much you know about wine. Many places don’t offer such a welcoming atmosphere. Swallow Wines is a must if you’re in Round Rock, and want tasty vino and cool folks to tell you about it! 🍷 👍 🥇

I come here regularly, and every time I’m reminded why Swallow Wines stands out. This isn’t a bar. If you're looking for loud music, cheap drinks, and bartenders who don’t know your name keep walking. Swallow Wines isn’t that. This place has class. The vibe is relaxed, low-key, and exactly what you want when you’re serious about what you’re drinking. The owners are hands-on, doing the real work not playing bartender or waiter and it shows in every detail. The wine selection is sharp, curated by people who actually care and know what they’re talking about. You can learn something here if you want, or just enjoy some outstanding wine in peace. I’ve seen some of the negative reviews, and honestly, it’s almost funny. Some people seem to confuse ‘not being catered to like they’re at happy hour’ with ‘bad service.’ Swallow Wines is for grown-ups who appreciate quality. Simple as that.

Looking for a place for wine and a good time we came across Swallow Wines, an establishment located in a home-like setting. As we walked in the place was cozy with comfortable sofas and swiveled chairs. Their paintings hung up all over the place and are for sale. After chatting with the owners who made us feel quite at home, we ordered up a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc. The music 🎶 was from the 70s, right up our alley. The Monroy brand was smooth yet crispy depending on your palette. Well, one bottle leads to a second and we were having a great time chatting and loving each other. The beginning of a wonderful evening. Do stop by Swallow Wines and get a taste of comfort and Joy. No doubt we did 🤗

Swallow Wines is an absolute treasure! The tasting room is beautiful, and the friendly, welcoming atmosphere makes it a joy to visit. The owners, Matt and Gabe, are not only knowledgeable but also so kind—they truly make the experience special. Their wine selection is fantastic, with something for every palate. I love using their wine bottles to make candles, and they’re always a hit with my customers! Swallow Wines also hosts amazing events, including candle-making workshops (my favorite!), and it’s the perfect spot to bring friends for a fun outing. I’m a frequent visitor and can’t recommend it enough—definitely stop by for a sip!

I had to wait a few days because I really wanted to like this place. We are not usually in downtown RR so we were excited to try a wine spot. Especially an inclusive place. The decor was welcoming. Wine glasses crystal clear. Prices exactly as expected. I like that they work with LGBTQ 🏳️‍🌈 wine makers, as an interracial couple, it’s something my wife and I can get behind. Unfortunately we will not be returning. Gabe behind the bar was not friendly at all. the focus was on what seemed like regulars at the bar. I even tried to make some small talk and Gabe didn’t seem interested at all. I asked about their event listing hoping to get a little detail but nothing. He did mention it was open to their wine club first then the general public, but didn’t even say one word about how to join their wine club. The other person behind the bar didn’t acknowledge us and that’s ok. I still bought a t shirt because I wanted to support their business. Hope yall have a better experience than we did. it would have been 5 stars ⭐️ but I took 2 off for the 2 people behind the bar.

Swallow Wines is a hidden gem for anyone looking to discover small-production California wines. The tasting experience was both informative and relaxed, offering a great way to learn about unique winemakers you won’t find in most places. Every wine we tried was thoughtfully crafted and absolutely delicious. Matt was fantastic, knowledgeable, welcoming, and clearly passionate about the wines he’s pouring. Highly recommend a visit if you’re in the area!

It’s always fascinating to read the few negative reviews and wonder if we even visited the same place. My experience at Swallow Wines has been absolutely outstanding, time and time again. The owners here are knowledgeable without being pretentious, helpful without being pushy, and truly passionate about what they do. The selection is thoughtfully curated, with options for every taste and budget. I’m grateful for a local business that takes such pride in both their product and their customer service. Sometimes, I think people mistake personal preferences or isolated moments for an entire experience but for me, Swallow Wines consistently delivers nothing but excellence.

Yelp
This place is so nice and I love all of the artwork that they have up! They have some really good wine here that is from some small, boutique wineries and the service is fantastic and the atmosphere is really amazing! I love this place and they are really nice and inviting here. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
My friend found this place and we decided to try it because it's new and close to where we were. I was pleasantly surprised. The interior is super cute and cozy. They didn't have a wine tasting menu on a Wednesday afternoon so we ordered by the glass. I like reds so I ordered the Tempranillo and it was so good!!! I would definitely go again. I kinda wish I could've done a tasting to try all their reds. Maybe my next visit they will have a tasting.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place, because I like the concept of how they source wines from California that doesn't have tasting rooms. My GF and I went because she was in town visiting. It was my 3rd time so I thought I knew what I was getting. I had picked up on the snobbishness, but I brushed it off thinking everyone deserves second chances. It was about 4:30 on a Monday and they were not busy. The owner was so rude to both of us that we left. If you want to be ignored, talked down to, and spend too much money on a glass or bottle of wine, go here. If not, go to Jack Allen's, Salt Traders, or Whiskey Cake. The bartenders will treat you with respect and you'll also be able to have yummy food.

Yelp
My husband and I met some friends here to chill after work and try a new place in Round Rock. It turned out to be wonderful experience. They serve a variety California wines, offer a few options for snacks and with cool vinyl tunes playing in the background it is definitely a place we'll visit again.

Yelp
The tasting room is chic yet cozy and approachable. I have been in on three different occasions and have had a consistent experience every time. The team is very engaging, easy to chat with and have made some great recommendations. I buy a bottle every time!

Yelp
Great ambiance and excellent selection of wines to please both my wife and I which have completely opposite preferences. Service is always great, even when they are busy!

Yelp
I was in the area for a night and was looking for a place to enjoy a glass of wine. This place for the bill. It is so incredibly cute inside and the wine is delicious. They have a record player going with a great selection of music along with some packaged snacks to purchase if that's what you're looking for. The folks behind the bar were super nice and I would definitely come back when I'm in the area again. Definitely recommend!
