Swami’s Cafe Multiplying in North County - Eater San Diego

"Longtime local eatery Swami’s Cafe is planning a landmark 12th location in Del Sur Town Center; the Shea Properties complex, anchored by Target and Sprouts Farmers Market, is part of the master planned community of Black Mountain Ranch. The family-owned restaurant has branches throughout San Diego County communities including Escondido, Encinitas, North Park, and Point Loma and serves an all day menu of breakfast and lunch. There’s everything from acai bowls, smoothies, breakfast burritos, and omelettes to burgers, sandwiches, salads, and wraps. It takes the place of Sababa Kitchen, joining a restaurant mix at Del Sur that includes Luna Grill, Ponce’s Mexican Restaurant, Piacere Mio, Board & Brew, and Ototo Sushi. Swami’s Cafe is scheduled to open in the center next year." - Candice Woo

The taste of the food may vary depending on each person's taste, but I think the food that is presented will be the same. The potatoes that came with the food I ordered looked a bit dirty, which disappointed me a little, and the service from the staff was nothing special other than bringing the food and giving the bill. Coffee is also self-service.

Food and drink were kind of disappointing. The matcha just tasted like milk, and was so lightly colored that I didn’t even think they gave us the right drink at first but that was indeed their matcha latte. Chorizo scramble is yum but the potatoes were unflavored and dry. Server was nice and I appreciate her getting us new lattes but the quality of food has gone down for sure.

Great Brunch spot! Servings are really full. We have been there thrice and honestly speaking compared to the first time we went here in the first year of its opening its become much better! Service is great. I tried the Lobster Benedict. It was delish with the right amount of hollandaise and flavorful lobster meat. The chicken artichoke omelette was generous with artichoke. The potatoes were different - rustic and cooked crisp. In my 11 year olds words he rates the Chocolate Chip pancakes 11/10.

Google
Great food and service. What I did not like is they calculated one food extra and they would split the bill. Coffee was cold and empty at times. $ to quality ratio is excellent and very worried. I would definitely go back.

This was a pleasant surprise. Having been to the Swami's in Encinitas many years ago didn't have high expectations here. But the food was actually really good with lots of breakfast and lunch choices. The location is quite large with plenty if i door and outdoor seating. Glad to have this option now for brunch in our neighborhood!!

Google
Honestly, go ahead and skip the potato scramble breakfast burrito. I wish I was exaggerating when I said that was the nastiest breakfast burrito I’ve ever had. I absolutely love onions but there was more onions in that burrito than eggs. They also included some phattttt chunks of green bell peppers in there and it threw off the whole burrito. The burrito was also lacking in cheese and sour cream. It’s frustrating breaking a diet and tasting inedible food.

Google
Solid Breakfast spot! Great flavor. Generous serving size. The Mexican Mocha is amazing. 5 Stars!!!

Went there for the first time. I read all the reviews and thought, maybe I’ll just check it out myself. I ordered the nectar smoothie and the healthy breakfast burrito. My little one got the kids grilled cheese. My lunch was fantastic. The server Antonio was polite and knowledgeable about the menu offering up delicious suggestions. We sat outside and were attended to quickly. The only downside and boy is this knit picking, but my kids grilled cheese has way to Much cheese in it for him. Is that even a thing? He ate almost all of it but even I would have a hard time taking that thing down. I’ll be back again and again because the food the location and the service merit my patronage.

Yelp
We've been fans of the original Swami's in Encinitas for over two decades and decided to try our local Swami's for a Friday brunch today. We had both the breakfast and lunch menus to choose our food. Both of us selected breakfast items: Huevos Rancheros (5/5) -- One of the best Huevos Rancheros I've had in recent years. Black beans were much welcomed rather than refried beans. The Ranchero sauce was tasty with a good level of heat. $14.50 Stuffed French Toast (5/5) -- Delicious thick French Toast filled with cream cheese and berries, garnished with fresh berries, and topped with a berry sauce. $15.75 There's a self-service coffee bar with four flavors of regular coffee and a Columbian Decaf. Mugs are at the coffee bar. The coffee was good (4/5 $3.95) with free refills. I tried both the Kona coffee (3/5) and Mexican blend (4/5). Our server, Emmanuel, was very good. We sat at a table on the outdoor patio, which was nice. Inside seating options are booths, tables, and a communal bar. Decor is simple light wood.

Yelp
Share a little bit of our experience at this restaurant. Waiting time for a table was reasonable at 10 minutes, but the service from there was abysmal. It took 15 minutes for our server to even acknowledge us or take a drink order. I had to wave my hand to get someone's attention to place our order, only for that person to tell me he wasn't our server but would call someone over. After waiting another 5 minutes, I tried to flag down a different guy who appeared to be our server. He made eye contact but completely ignored us. We were trying to order quickly, but our server seemed annoyed and impatient. We asked for white wheat bread on the side for one of our orders instead of sourdough, and he insisted sourdough was white, which we clearly knew. One of our orders was supposed to come with hash brown potatoes, but when we brought it up, our server didn't check or follow up; he just told a coworker to handle it. To make matters worse, all our food arrived, but our drinks didn't come until much later. It's the small details that add up, and the service really made the meal feel disappointing. On the positive side, the food itself was good, But with service like this, it's hard to recommend it as a place to take your family for an stress-free breakfast. Would not consider to returning.

Yelp
We ordered the El Paso Benedict and California Chicken Wrap. This was my first time trying the El Paso Benedict and I wasn't too big of a fan of the pork chorizo but overall pretty good. We were seated in the patio area which had good lighting and it wasn't too hot or too cold. There was some dust and such that was flying around when the wind blew though.

Yelp
Swami's in Del Sur is a great spot for healthy, delicious eats. I had the Acai Bowl, and it was perfectly blended with fresh fruit and a nice crunchy topping. My friend loved the Veggie Scramble too. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the staff is friendly. It can get a bit busy, especially on weekends, so service can be slow at times. Prices are a little higher than expected, but the quality makes it worth it. Definitely a solid choice for a quick, tasty, and nutritious meal!

Yelp
We actually love the food here and have breakfast here once a month. I just found out that swami's uses canola oil, which disappoints me because I know that seed oils are not healthy. Avocado and olive oil are healthy oils. We will continue to come here, but I will not personally order anything that has to be cooked with oil. Probably just avocado toast and anything else I can get without seed oil. The shrimp salad is amazing. I think the shrimp is grilled without oil. I would be willing to pay more for my food if it were cooked with out seed oils.

Yelp
Enjoyed brunch with my husband out in the patio on a crisp February morning seated under the warmer which worked like a charm. The servers were friendly and efficient, answering our questions and offering opinions when asked. We were check on and felt attended to. We enjoyed the coffee bar and all the nice selections of coffee choices. It was fun to just go grab a warm up as needed. I ordered the berry stiffed french toast with a side of scrambled eggs and turkey sausage. It is really tasty and filling. My husband had the green I left with potatoes. He said it was good but nothing special. The tab was fair for the portions and quality of food. We still enjoy the laid back vibe of the Encinitas restaurant better, but would return here again.

Yelp
Always good food at Swami's! One of the only brunch places in Del Sur/ 4s area. We love the acai bowls, omelette and variety of self-serve coffee.

Yelp
This is a great place to eat. The food has always been good, the service is warm and friendly. This is also a great place to bring friends and family from out of town.

Yelp
Great for large groups with a wide menu to appease an array of tastes. But weird choice having rice in the chicken caesar wrap?

Yelp
AWFUL! Not coming back. Do yourself a favor and skip this place! How do you not know how to fry an egg?? Went here on a Sunday 1pm and got a table pretty quickly.l I ordered the chilaquiles with red sauce. They asked how I wanted the eggs cooked. I asked for fried. Not only did I get green sauce, the eggs were scrambled and brown/dry overcooked. When I asked about the egg they said well we weren't sure when you said fried. Your options or over easy, medium or hard. really? you can't fry an egg? I don't like the options they gave, b/c overhard means a dry yellow ball in the middle of the white egg. I like it fried b/c generalloy the yolk is broken. It is not scrambled. The took it back and brought me back an overly dry overhard egg. The sauce did not get corrected and was overly spicy with no flavor. I reminded him I ordered the red sauce and he didn't even try to correct it. I told him the green sauce was too spicy to eat and he said well the red sauce will be the same - lazy to make the correction??? fine, please bring me the tortilla chips with no sauce. Which he did, but by then it was all cold. The cappucino was decent, but that was it. I paid $30 with tip and left the meal. I've been to the oceanside location too and my experience there left me not wanting to go back to that location either. Sorry but this place is way overrated. Why do people like this place and how do they stay in business!!? Big let down!

Yelp
Been here multiple times for brunch, and the food has always been on point as well as the service. Really liked the chorizo Benedict as it was really tasty, especially with the hollandaise sauce. Also, I like the different styles of coffee they have, and it is all self served. Definitely one of my favorite spots in the area for Sunday brunch.

Yelp
Breakfast, salads, sandwiches and more! What's not to like. Came here with my SILs in the late morning. Our table was on the patio which was large and pleasant. Extra kudos for being a pup friendly establishment. I got fanned by a tail and being a dog lover, that brought joy! Between us, we individually ordered a Salmon Benedict, a wrap (forgot which one) and a vegetable scramble with added sausage. I thought everything tasted really fresh and delicious. I liked that the coffee was self serve and that there were brewed flavor options. I'm a "options" sort of gal! No complaints here. Good quality time with my SILs and good food.

Yelp
Improve by providing customer satisfaction. Let me explain, through research it costs approximately 70 cents to make one pancake yet swamis chooses to charge $6.50. I asked to substitute my toast for one pancake and even said I would pay a small up charge but the server said no that I would have to pay the full price for one pancake, really? Most breakfast cafes will gladly allow substitutions or charge an extra dollar to add. Do better!!!
google avatar

Yelp
The inside of the place was so stuffy so we asked to be seated outside. We ordered the California burrito and chicken wrap. We thought the chicken wrap was served cold and it was super hot and the entire sandwich just fell apart and my breakfast burrito was made in a wrap tortilla so it didn't taste very good and the cheese inside the burrito wasn't melted . If you're looking for a simple breakfast I'm sure this place will be fine, but our food wasn't that great.
google avatar

Christy P.

Yelp
Food was good. We usually go to the La Mesa location and we love that one. This one. Get your own coffee. Coffee wasn't good or hot. Or at least the vanilla nut. I don't know what I get at the other one. Order someone brings food out and they want you to pay with QR code. We don't have Apple Pay so paid with someone. Then they are asking for 20% or more tip. Well they didn't do much just bring out the food and bring the check out.
google avatar

Jalina R.

Yelp
First time we came here service and food was just OK! We wanted to give this place another chance. We walked it and waited to be seated. The place wasn't busy & no one else was waiting. Had 2-3 workers see us and got no greeting or help to be seated. After 5-10 mins we just walked out.

Yelp
The brunch at swamis ain't bad. If you are looking for a simple brunch for things like egg Benedict or a simple breakfast, swamis will do the job

Yelp
I use to love this place, but the quality of food and service has gone down since my last visit. First thing I noticed was a slightly dirty look by the employee sitting us down. It immediately felt weird. Then we were sat down outside which has a great shady area. My sisters and I ordered French toast with strawberries, Pitaya bowl, and the California delight sandwich. My sister got the french toast with strawberries, and enjoyed it. 4/5. She also ordered a side of hash browns to replace the eggs and bacon. The quality of taste and preparation was not good at all. Even with ketchup and hot sauce, it didn't make it taste any better. 1/5 I went to Swamis for the California Chicken sandwich, but it looks like they don't offer that anymore which really sucks because that was my favorite item and was looking forward to that. I opted for the California Delight Sandwich, and it had no flavor at all. I added mustard to it, and it made it slightly better. 2/5 The plate came with a side, so I chose french fries, and those were good 4/5. My other sister got the Pitaya bowl, and she overall enjoyed it. However, the portion is huge, and she was unable to finish it. Not a problem though, just something to keep in mind of if you choose to order it. 4/5. Service was very slow, even though it wasn't very packed. Honestly, I didn't see a server outside more than once. I was told that we can't sit inside because they were cleaning the indoor dining area, so that's probably why it was slow service outside. Server sat us down, and brought our check (after waiting awhile and having to go ask for it). After finishing our food, I was really surprised to see the check. With 20% tip, the total came out to be $65 for three people. I think that's way too expensive, especially for the poor quality. With the quality of food/preparation, service, and cost, I don't see myself coming back here again any time soon.

Yelp
The mimosa was good. Good Champaign to juice ratio. I got the chipotle veggie burger. It was just ok. Not a whole lot of flavor and was just average. The fries on the other hand were perfectly crispy and delicious. (I probably wouldn't get this burger again) The breakfast croissant with mock bacon on the other hand was VERY delicious. Flaky croissant and eggs cooked perfectly. I'd Definetly get this again. I didn't try the steak and eggs but it looked delicious. Service was good.

Yelp
Swami's Cafe never disappoints. The food is consistently delicious, and their service is no-nonsense. The chilaquiles were particularly outstanding, bursting with flavor. Can't wait to go back for more.

Patrick M.

Yelp
Staff was friendly but could be a little more customer service-minded (I'll get to that in a sec). Our to-go order was taken promptly. Food was delicious, albeit a bit pricey. But that's just the new state of things these days, right? Only quibble is the amount of time it took to get our food. We ordered a turkey croissant sandwich with fries and waited almost 20 minutes for an order that doesn't go onto the grill. And the place was only about 2/3 full. Second time here and so that tells you the we enjoy the food. So waiting that long, and paying these prices, I would have expected the staff to offer us some water or something and let us know why it was taking so long. It's the little details that will take you from a 4 to a 5. Expect at some point that we'll go there again. Hopefully they read these reviews and make some adjustments. As prices go up, people will expect more for their money. I know I do.
google avatar

Dawn D.

Yelp
The food is always really consistent here. We'd love to come and get the eggs Benedict. The sauce is always creamy and delicious. They put a ton of ham. I actually usually have to take some of it off. The food is really good here and my daughter likes the pineapple pancakes.

Lena F.

Yelp
The best waffle in the town!!! all food are so delicious. Also cafe is so cozy and beautiful.
google avatar

Izabel C F.

Yelp
I CANT believe I've never written a review for this place. Literally thee best food. I donno what they're doing back there in that kitchen, but we've ordered breakfast pancakes, omelets, lunch salads, sandwiches, wraps, lattes, teas, açaí, smoothies... all phenomenally fantastic. Not to mention, the service is outstanding, always fast and so friendly. Shout out to Anthony who always greets us, + knows we always get sourdough and no cheese on whatever we order. We recently moved to Esco, so we're excited to try that location, but we highly recommend the 4S location.

Masae R.

Yelp
Great service, excellent quality of food. Will 100% recommend! Food tasted fresh and seasoned just right!
google avatar

TianChee S.

Yelp
Tried a few items here, the food quality is okay, nothing spectacular to brag about. I ordered their avocado bacon cheeseburger with a salad. There was a big tear at the bottom of the beef patty for them to check doneness. It was overcooked and didn't have much taste. Quantity was there but taste, not so much. The salad was nice and healthy but they gave the wrong dressing and didn't want to bother going back to get the correct dressing as I was already home. Another visit I ordered the steak caesar salad and I asked the steak to be cooked medium rare. Wishful thinking, it was super well done. I really don't have the time to inspect and double check what I get and they have on many occasions messed up the order. Maybe it's better if you dine in but take out is not reliable for me. I'd probably eat elsewhere for takeout.
google avatar

Sherry B.

Yelp
Food was delicious and the customer service was excellent! My only complaint was that at 2:30 before they closed at 3pm they began putting the stools up on the tables which was two steps away from me so I sat with stool towers next to me while eating and then they began mopping the floors with chemicals. I ended up asking for a box and taking the rest of my food home to eat the smell was too much to handle. I understand if it's distant from customers to clean, but not pleasant when it's too close like that.
google avatar

Deanne L.

Yelp
Really enjoyed my Black Egg Burrito ($10+) for brunch take out. It consisted of eggs, black beans, cheese and avocado according to the menu, but now that I think of it, I don't remember tasting any avocado in mine. Besides that, the combination of the eggs, black beans, and cheese tasted delicious all together. Everything was cooked nicely, including the hearty side of breakfast potatoes. Service was friendly when picking up my order and food was ready when promised. The only thing I was surprised about was that it took about 40 minutes for a burrito and potatoes when I ordered online. Online ordering says it takes about 20 min to be ready but what happened is that it takes another 20 min just for the order to be confirmed. Besides that, no complaints.
google avatar

Nicole L.

Yelp
Disappointed. Brought a group here today and the food was on par. My biggest grievance is when one of my friends made it clear to our server that their blood sugar was dropping and they needed a juice quickly... it took an additional reminder and 15 minutes later until my friend received their juice. The juice was delivered by another employee and not our original server. I wish they would have made quicker actions/urgency with this situation.

Jazmine F.

Yelp
Amazing location, cute interior design and busy... but that was only the surface. When we got seated it became obvious right away that the central air was broken or something which I didn't mind at first but we were by the kitchen and it got HOT. My server Luis was not having a good day because I felt like every time I asked him something his replies were short and snippy; I only asked for more napkins and the missing items with my order. When I got my order my pastrami sandwich was burnt and barely edible so at this point I just left. I was disappointed because I've been going to swamis for 15 years now and this is the first time I've experienced this I usually go to the Carlsbad location but I was in the area so I thought I'd try it out but unfortunately not all locations are the same in quality and service.
google avatar

Sally L.

Yelp
So delicious and very fresh ingredients! The fluffiest pancakes ever, I prefer crepes but they know how to make light and fluffy pancakes here, yummy!! Can't wait to return. We love brunch.

Aaron M.

Yelp
This is a nice location for a breakfast or brunch. They have a really big covered patio. They have a pretty large menu, but my favorite is the acai bowl. It's really big! And the secret is you have to ask to add peanut butter. They also have a large variety of coffees. Very good service every time I go. One of my go to spots for a relaxing place to eat.
google avatar

Charles H.

Yelp
It pains me to see so many people complaining about service! If you paid any attention to the news, you would know that the service industry is having a terrible time attracting good people back to work. Sorry if you had a bad experience, but no need to blast any restaurant for that on Yelp in 2022. Just be glad that you've got options!
google avatar

Tina R.

Yelp
We just moved to San Diego and when we went here for brunch it was great. However ordered a salmon salad to go and was very disappointed. 1st they forgot the salmon. So I called and they gladly offered to get the salmon for me ready to pick up again. Did that, to come back home to find my spinach was infested with bugs and diseased. I didn't want to do a 3rd trip back so made a salad at home... Great eating there, don't order take out.
google avatar

Yelp
Great food after a soccer game!!! Everything was fast and ready good. Coffee was self serve and take out containers

Yelp
When on-site/ outdoor dining re-opened after the first wave of very strict stay-at-home orders, Swami's was one of the first establishments to offer sit-down service. With such a large, open, and covered patio, it did prove to be the ideal spot for such a momentous occasion. There are several Swami locations scattered throughout San Diego, but this is was my first to dine-in at one. With such a large menu, consisting largely of traditional American breakfast items, soups, and sandwiches, the lunch specials did stand out. At just over $10, one could enjoy a decently-sized sandwich with either a side of french fries, yam fries, corn tortilla chips, salad, fruit, or cottage cheese. I did just that with the *Tuna Melt* for $12.99. Perhaps there could have been a little more tuna, but the addition of the red onions, avocado, lettuce, tomatoes and Swiss cheese made for quite the scrumptious meal. Pair that with grapefruit mimosa for $8 and you have one grand brunch-time meal. Simple food, but made with fresh ingredients to make for quite the delicious meal.

Tanya G.

Yelp
Came in Friday morning and it was pretty dead inside, almost walked out after being seated and ignored for 20 min....I only enjoyed their coffee bar and option for to go cups. Food was mid.....service was subpar....atmosphere was unwelcoming. Unfortunate since I really did like the Poway location.

Margot C.

Yelp
The food is good as usual. Service I give a 1*. I took my 96 year old mother who has dementia out to lunch with her caretaker. We usually order her food for her because we know what foods she likes and how much she will eat at one sitting. My mother forgets what she likes and how much food she can eat. This server wouldn't allow us to explain why we were ordering for her. Instead he turned his back to us. He just kept taking her order. Once she was done, we knew she had ordered way to much and even ordered food she doesn't like so we asked again. He totally ignored me so the caretaker tried to explain to him in Spanish that it was too much for her and to bring a smaller amount. I asked him to take off the food that she didn't like but again he ignored me and walked away. We ended up coming home with the food she didn't like and having to throw it away because she wouldn't eat. It is hard enough to go out to eat with someone that can act inappropriately at any moment and then to have to deal with a server who acts disrespectful to those taking care of their family members. You need to be more respectful.
google avatar

Karyn F.

Yelp
Food isn't great. Service is fine. Ambiance gets a positive review because the outdoor patio is great for kids on a weekend morning.

Rita M.

Yelp
Amazingly relaxed atmosphere, ambience makes you feel welcomed right away. Great no pressure place to eat great food the coffee bar is a fantastic way to meet new friends.
google avatar

Cony L.

Yelp
Mehhhhh the service here is so bad. Only the host welcomes you cheerfully and everything else went down hill. Don't want to sound disrespectful and judgmental but Workers def need some food or coffee... Food is just ok too.
google avatar

Athiel A.

Yelp
Do not sit outside!!! Food was great, but I could not able to fully enjoy my food. I was on guard, protecting my food from a flock of birds. One landed on a customer's head, and another flew over my table with the intent to grab my toast. I did not feel comfortable with the cleabliness of the patio with the birds around. Management, please fix the bird issue and/or don't sit people outside. I challenge you to enjoy your breakfast on the patio. It was truly a boxing match between the birds.
google avatar

Brandon S.

Yelp
Chain bfast place that was really disappointing. Eggs weren't seasoned and everything was bland.

Grant D.

Yelp
My friends and I came to Swami's this morning and one of my friends (N) has a severe allergy to all nuts. N decided to order a smoothie bowl because it had NO mention of nuts on the menu. When her food arrived the bowl had almonds on the top as part of their "house granola" and we later discovered there were nuts below the smoothie that were not visible. She then told the waiter that she was severely allergic to nuts, which he replied stating "thats what you ordered". She responded saying that the menu has no mention of nuts included in the smoothie bowl. The waiter refused to have it remade without the nuts because again, thats what she ordered. Not to mention that the waiter proceeded to avoid our table for the rest of the time we were seated. If anything, the menu needs to mention that there are nuts of any kind present in any of the dishes. Im not coming on here to bash the waiter, im writing this to urge that restaurants state their nut allergy friendliness on their menus. She also never got the potatoes that she ordered and were charged for. Food was still good though.

Yelp
Was finally able to dine in after a few months. Antonio was our server and he was great! Our food came out quickly and was delicious. Our pineapple upside down pancakes were the perfect compliment to our omelette and breakfast potatoes. Social distancing is in full effect. The perfect spot to hit up before making it out to the beach. I'll be back again for sure.

Yelp
**pre-covid review** Went to Swami's to catch up with an old friend and the ambiance was nice! I appreciated how clean everything was. Service was a bit slow but it was okay because we were busy chatting anyways. Food was good, well cooked. I thought both dishes we ordered were a bit basic and bland but not bad. Eggs Benedict made me full. My friend had the French toast and I felt like they could have added something more to the dish. There is definitely better breakfast/brunch out there in my opinion!
google avatar

Marivic R.

Yelp
Came here with my daughter for brunch on a weekday and half the restaurant was empty. We ordered El Paso Benedict and Stuffed French toast with 2 eggs and 2 bacon. Food was okay, probably better if the toast wasn't overstuffed with sweet cream cheese which made it mushy. The server was almost non existent, after getting our order we never saw him again until I got up and asked another server for our check. He never did introduce himself and never checked on us if we needed anything.

Yelp
I did not have high expectations but location was convenient for my girlfriends that have kids, lived close by and have limited time. Huge amount of food does not equal quality. I ordered the lobster benedict and was terrible. That burnt thing did not taste like lobster. The eggs were cold, like done long ago and just warmed up a bit. lukewarm. then there were potatoes, many many potatoes...really bad. Zero taste. Well, I took the potatoes home and reused them for another meal. With the high price I was not going to leave the sad yet abundant potatoes there. Also, a capuccino should be more elegantly presented, not like a soup bowl. It takes charm of the breakfast experience. Looks also matter.

I came here randomly since I was up at 7am for no reason. I was trying to find a little fun breakfast place to go to, and this was on the way home! It had just opened so it was very empty, but it was very clean and the staff was very kind despite the time. It definitely gave me family "diner" vibes except it's not a diner so that makes no sense... I had gotten the red velvet waffles meal because I love rv cake! I was surprised to get bright maroon, red colored waffles--though I should've expected it. Honestly, the waffles were very, very dry, to the point where I honestly didn't notice the flavor anymore as I was just trying to be able to swallow the food. The scrambled eggs I got, however, were quite good--and definitely helped with the dryness of the waffles. I would never get this again, though I'd like to try other things maybe in the future.
