Community-forward and independently owned, Swan pours Florida-made beers beside constant live music, trivia, and markets like the long-running Punk Rock Flea. A downtown hangout praised by local outlets, it’s where Lakeland gathers over a pint by the water.

Swan Brewing is the best of Lakeland, an old friend who warmly embraces you every time you catch up, no matter how long it’s been. It’s a pretty small brewery but that makes it feel more intimate. There’s a dozen or so picnic tables in the covered patio area, along with bar seating and a few tables inside. It gets packed quickly; especially on the weekend and when they have live music. There’s usually always some kind of food truck on the patio as well, so you can get your brews and some food if you need/want. Though a small brewery, they have a great selection of ales, IPAs, ciders, seltzers, stouts and more. It’s nice to see so many brewed in Lakeland (right there in house, of course). A favorite time my friends and I have liked to go here is during BOGO Thursdays- yes, buy one drink, get a second free. It’s only a one time offer each Thursday but it’s a great one. Also very dog friendly so bring your fur baby along too!

We enjoy the atmosphere the music and most of the times they have great food trucks there but mostly become there to see our favorite bartenders. Is Miss Haiely she’s the best !! friendly and always has a smile. We fell in love with her at the brew hub and she moved to the Swan brewery so when you’re ordering that beer and if she’s waiting on, you treat her good

First time here and we had such a great experience form the time we walked in to the brewery. We were greeted promptly by 2 friendly staff members who we super helpful with the variety of beers. They made small talk and were very welcoming. We chose to sit outside to drink our beer so we could appreciate the beautiful pond view. We all loved the beers we chose from the long list of varieties they offered. Great place with great beer. Don’t miss out!

Had an amazing first experience at Swan Brewing 😃. The beer selection was great and our service was even better. Haley is an awesome bartender and super friendly, we loved her. The atmosphere is great and you can bring your dog, too. Such a cool place!

If you want great beer from a brewery, an awesome atmosphere with a friendly welcoming staff, at a reasonable price per beer... SWAN is the place for you! Music outside or you can stay cool with a large enough inside. Either way its a great place to chill and hang out.

I recently visited this brewery and I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. The beer flight was a great way to try out a variety of options and I was pleasantly surprised by how many different flavors I was able to sample. The outdoor setting was also a nice touch, as it had a nice view and a relaxed atmosphere. One downside was that they did not have any food available on site. However, there was a food truck close by that I was able to get food from and bring back to the brewery to enjoy. Despite this, I still had a great time and would definitely recommend this brewery to others.

Nice location along Wire Lake in downtown Lakeland area. Live band was playing while we visited on a Monday. Nice selection of beers, I really enjoyed the Hazy IPA, the hard seltzer that tasted like Gatorade was tasty. Food truck available. Outside and inside seating.

Stopped in here to grab a pint with the family on our way home. It had a cool vibe and the two beers we tried were really good. I got the Downtown (Hazelnut) Brown and it was one of the best brown ales I’ve had in a long time. Perfectly malty and nutty. My wife got the Straight Outta Lakeland IPA because we always have to try the standard IPA on the menu the first time you visit. It was a good beer. We wanted to try more beers but they were pretty busy and we had to move on before we caught traffic but we will definitely be back! Cheers!

Yelp
Cute little brewery in the heart of Lakeland! Lots of outdoor seating with a tent! Pretty view of the lake! Inside is small, so get there early or prepare to sit in the hot shaded sun during the summer! Food truck and live music is awesome! Def wanna try their bottomless swanmosas sometime! Wish they had more seltzers for us folks with hop allergies!

Yelp
Korean BBQ food truck tonight was really good. Some special seasonal beers on tap that we had to try. Super fast service. Fantastic and fun live music bingo.

Yelp
Great beer selection, food trucks (we enjoyed the Korean), and trivia some nights! The appetizers were a hit!

Yelp
We were exploring downtown Lakeland, and found ourselves in walking distance of this brewery. We arrived around 1230 on Veterans Day, and were surprised to see that it was fairly busy having just opened for the day. We were able to grab a couple of stools at the bar, but there is plenty of seating, both indoor and outside. Bartenders were very friendly and I opted to start with the #Freedom, which is a light ale. My husband opted for a mix of their red ale and the #Freedom. Basically, they created a Yuengling for him. They have a large selection of beers to choose from, and everybody from the bartenders to the manager to the brew masters are incredibly friendly.

Yelp
Came here as a stop over before heading all the way back home in Central Florida. Beer selection is great and the employees are so friendly. They let you have unlimited samples until you find the one you want. Health care heroes get 20% off the bill! How awesome!

Yelp
4.0* (out of 5) Food: n/a Atmosphere: 4* Value: 4* Service: 4* 09/30/2023 Saw this on the way to lunch with our son after touring his latest jobsite, so had to stop for a flight on the way home. A solid brewery with a good selection of beers to satisfy most tastes. Looks like a great stop to enjoy live music also, although it wasn't yet happening when we were there. Yelp
Nice ambiance. We played the pinball machines. They have a jukebox thing. It is good for big gatheringa

Yelp
We have been here a hundred times and we always have a great experience here. The staff are always on point with good suggestions and quick service. The ambiance is casual and laid back. The food trucks here are also always great. Tonight we had Filipino food that was super tasty. We always have a great experience here.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite breweries. They have great indoor seating and even more outdoor seating under tents. It has an industrial ambiance. The bar tenders are always helpful and friendly. Their beers are outstanding. The Downtown Brown is my all time favorite hazelnut beer. My only complaint is that they are not closer to my home in west Tampa. I can't wait to come back again soon!

Yelp
I really enjoy going to Swan Brewing for a quick beer, trivia night, or for a simple date night (although I have yet to try one of the food trucks). The beer selections are very good, and I love the blended options of beer and wine/ champagne (beermosa or similar to this). It may not necessarily be my favorite brewery in Lakeland - I like more unique local options- however, I always look forward to going for an enjoyable evening. It's also a bonus that the staff is friendly, and the picnic tables are an awesome touch!

Yelp
We did a quick search for a brewery in Lakeland and boy am I glad that Swan Brewing popped up first! The space is so nice and great to hang out in and the beer was delicious. The bartenders were so nice and helpful. They had great seating options inside and outside as well. On our next trip to Lakeland Swan Brewing will be high on our list!!
google avatar

Stacia G.

Yelp
Great patio, small indoor. Have trivia some nights and it gets busy. Have beer and wine and a nice view of the lake if one likes to watch a sun set over water. Yes yes we will be back.
google avatar

Yelp
My husband and I stopped by Swan Brewing one Saturday evening on our way to the Strawberry Festival. Swan Brewing is located right across from the Lake and there is plenty of covered outdoor seating. However, we decided to sit inside at the bar as it was a bit windy outside. Service - A+. We were immediately greeted by the staff and had superior service the entire stay. Beer - A. I ordered a flight and enjoyed all my selections. I always order a flight when at a brewery. I love trying as many options as possible. They had a food truck outside but we had later plans to eat. I will be back when I am in the area and I highly suggest if you are in the area that you make a stop at Swan Brewing.

Yelp
This was my first time at Swan Brewing. They were the venue for a bike building event for the Local Boys and Girls club. Had a great time building the bikes and of course enjoyed a drink or two. The peach cider was just what I needed to cool off. The place was packed but the staff was fast and friendly. They had great live music outside. I only mark it down one star because I feel like places that serve alcohol should always have water accessible for patrons, which they did not. Other than that I loved this Brewery and will definitely be back in the future when I visit Lakeland.

John E.

Yelp
Couldn't have asked for better service. My girlfriend and I sat outside almost all day Saturday and enjoyed live music and great beer. Great atmosphere. Will definitely go back

Yelp
I travel all over the state of Florida and I just happened to be at the post office in downtown Lakeland and spotted this place across the street. I had my dog with me so I checked and they are DOG FRIENDLY. I immediately parked and went to see what it is all about. They have a very generous outside area with picnic tables and rotating food trucks. They also have regular live music. They are not only dog friendly but they are REALLY dog friendly. My sweet pup made the rounds with most of the patrons and the bar staff showering her with lots of attention and taking pictures. (YES she is a show stealer and will do almost anything for a belly rub). I tried the red ale first. The patrons at the bar were super friendly and chatty. They encouraged me that I would be fine with my dog inside so that is what I chose. I travel alone a LOT so socializing with friendly people is a big treat. The red ale was very good. They have fairly good wifi so I was able to work easily. They have a really nice nostalgic decor, industrial with some really fun touches. The food truck smelled AMAZING! They had a solo guitar player working a set from the 70's which was very solid. Staff was very friendly and they might benefit from a server out by the picnic tables as the line at the bar got quite long.

Yelp
This is a great spot to grab a beer in downtown Lakeland. My Airbnb host recommended it for the view of the sunset. The beer is also really good. I'm really enjoying their Straight Outta Lakeland IPA which I was told is the top seller. And yes, there is a great view of the sunset over the small lake next to Swan.

T W.

Yelp
We tried 5 beers and they were all excellent. They are listed by a number so you just tell them the number. You can get small tasters or pints. Yum. We went on a Sunday afternoon after a nice walk around lake Hollingsworth. They had live music outside and a food truck. Food was good, French fries were hot and the brisket grilled cheese was good. The meat was a little skimpy but the taste was good. All prices were very reasonable. Definitely worth the visit.
google avatar

Kalvin K.

Yelp
Some good brewing here. The brewery and taproom have a nice view of the lake and there is live music here on the weekends. It is a bit loud, but that is how live music usually is. I had the Napoleon Bonaparte sour and a cider they had on guest tap. Service was sufficient and the facilities were very nice. They are dog friendly, too! Parking is a bit tough here, but the post office is next door and I doubt they'll tow during the night and weekends after the post office is closed.
google avatar

Bradley L.

Yelp
I really like swan but the music is too loud. This is not a music hall. The live music is great but make it so people can sit outside and and enjoy conversation at the same time as the music. Invest in a sound system that spreads the music appropriately. I love screaming at the person right next to me when I'm sitting at furthest possible distance from the speakers.
google avatar

Yelp
Swan Brewery has a variety of beers, ciders, wines and mixes of the above. The drink menu changes with the season so you can expect something new almost on every visit. If not with the drinks, definitely with the food as they have a different food truck every day so make sure you check their Instagram page to see who will be there before you go. They have inside and outside seating under a canopy and they're conveniently located across one of the many lakes here in Lakeland. This lake has a walking path so if you go on a Tuesday, a local running group is there and that evening you can play a round of music bingo where you can win some fun prizes, including a Crowler! Friendly, outgoing staff makes this easily one of my favorite hangouts to go too after work. Grab a drink, sit outside and watch the sunset over the lake to call it a day. Again, make sure to follow their Instagram page for more information!
google avatar

Nick G.

Yelp
Pretty interesting place....they have about 50% of their beer menu consisting of beer they brew in house. The other is "guest " beer. I tried two different t IPAs, #1 is pretty fantastic..
google avatar

John S.

Yelp
Swan Brewery is an awesome place. Many fine beers are brewed here. The atmosphere is great. Live music is always a good time.
google avatar

Rachel C.

Yelp
I wasn't there long but while I was there the employees were polite, friendly, and helpful. They have bar seating, some tables and high tops, outdoor seating, and even corn hole. *would return*

Yelp
Who doesn't love a nice drink and live music? I have heard tons about Swan Brewing before finally visiting on a Thursday night. By the way, when ordering on Thursday ask for BOGO!!! It did not disappoint. (plus it was only $8, with tip, for two beers). They have over 30 beers to choose from. Anything from stouts, ciders, wheat, ales. etc. I personally enjoyed the environment and aesthetic of the location! It has a hometown feel--- with the outdoor seating and lighting, background music, and plenty of conversations. Between choosing to sit inside or outside, there was plenty of room for my whole party to sit together. I would recommend anyone going on a first date, meeting up with old friends, or just wanting a cheap drink to try out Swans. Not to mention the food truck parked outside with delicious quesadillas!! I am a huge beer person, so any time my friends want to get one I am always the first to go. Let me just say, you might see me frequenting Swans from now on!!
google avatar

Stefanie D.

Yelp
Always a great time at Swan! Whether you're here during the week for Music Bingo, Trivia, or BOGO Thursday, you'll love the atmosphere. The food trucks and live music leave memories in your mind. Bartenders are quick and great to talk to! Definitely check it out.

Yelp
Wow!! Is all I can say. My husband and I just moved here from St Pete and we love breweries. It's a shock moving from St Pete to Lakeland because there's so many breweries in St Pete. We were afraid we wouldn't be able to find a good one that we liked. Well last night, we were pleasantly surprised by Swan Brewing. As soon as you step in , it's like visual overload. But in a good way. I feel like there's something to look at in every corner which is great. I was looking around mesmerized for a good 10 minutes before even ordering. LOL. The decor, the ambiance , the beer. All 10/10. I haven't even told you about the beer selection!!! They have a menu with 30 beers !!!!! I couldn't choose, so as I usually do I ordered a flight. I have to say the best beer I tried was the #1 Straight outta Lakeland. They also have ciders and wine. I'm not sure if they have food there, or maybe they have food trucks. We went an hour before closing so we didn't really ask. I cannot say enough good things about this brewery but we definitely can't wait to go back. We were amazed at how well they did putting this brewery together and decorating it. We are so happy we found this gem!
google avatar

John S.

Yelp
This place is a solid brewery. Many, many different types of brews and beers that can be combined with their other beers for a dynamic tasting experience. Cliff Claven is my go to beer. Always cold and consistent. My girl likes the coffee flavored beers just as much. The food trucks are always busy and there if you want a meal or a snack. My favorite event was the Punk Flea Market. Really fun time with a huge variety of hand made goods. Finally, the place is dog friendly and we always get a good dog fix when we're there on the weekends. Tents cover the lawn so you're not in full sun the whole time. Makes for a great gathering place as well.
google avatar

Samantha W.

Yelp
This spot is always a go-to for us because of the outdoor seating and craft beer. There are not many bars like that in Lakeland. If you get hungry they have a visiting food truck most of the time and they rarely repeat them. We also recently went to the food truck rally and brought our own food in - I prefer this business model because you aren't restricted to the options they have. The live music is always different - not just one genre. They do a really good job of keeping it fresh. Highly recommend signing up for their text alerts. You get deals and whatnot. The reason it's not 4 stars is because sometimes the line at the bar is loooooong. I've seen some breweries do different things with QR codes and mobile ordering and paying and that could probably be a solution instead of the like being so long. They often only have two bartenders working. Also finally - they did a good job during covid with keeping customers safe. I remember I voiced some concerns and the brewery owner contacted me! Like the best customer service you can get. I think they've maximized their outdoor seating but I wish they'd add more because some of the older crowd posts up for like 8 hours at a time.

Yelp
This was our first time checking out Swan Brewing and we loved it. We decided to check Swan Brewing out since they were dog friendly and we wanted to take our recently adopted dog with us. Our first beer was enjoyed outside in the big tent they have set up. There are several picnic tables set up outside, which are spaced apart. We headed inside to order and enjoy our second beer. We loved the variety of beers they offer and the vibe. This is a very nice laid back place with some great brews. We look forward to returning very soon. Pets are welcome. There was a food truck on-site while we were there and it appears they typically have on there.
google avatar

Dave K.

Yelp
Bar tender was a sarcastic $$$$ but totally offset by good beer, good band and best sunset over a lake in Polk County. Ask for a 7-11 which is a combination of their coffee coconut blond and their hazelnut brown, mellows the coconut and gives some smoothness. Live music Friday and Saturday begins at 1900
google avatar

Nina M.

Yelp
I've been here several times during regular hours and when they host special events. It's a cool space and spot in Lakeland near a walkable lake. They have indoor and outdoor spaces, and the events with live music and markers are always fun. They have a beer on tap for everyone -- from lagers, to IPAs, hazy beers, and dark beers. We've tried a variety and always find something to enjoy. Definitely a spot we will keep coming to when we visit Lakeland!
google avatar

Rich S.

Yelp
1st I just visited the Swan in South Lakeland last week and although it's a small hole in the wall place I loved it. The bartender was very knowledgeable and gave great service. So I had to try the Swan downtown. Came on a Thursday late afternoon. Friendly bartender and as always great beer. Sat outside which has ample seating and a food truck was set up outside. Nice music playing playing and great view of lake wire. Looks like a great place for a gathering. Sure to come back.
google avatar

Varrick N.

Yelp
3/14/20 first visit to the Lake Wire location, we usually go to the Highlands Plaza location. Great beer, hosting a pop-up market today, Salt & Fire food truck on duty, live music to boot. Quite nice. My wife and I tried the "Straight Outta Lakeland" IPA and thought it was a perfect Southern IPA, lots of citrus flavors in the resiny, hoppy funk.

Bridget T.

Yelp
This is a cute little venue in the heart of downtown Lakeland. Parking is not the easiest here so arrive early. If you're wishing to park close there is some street parking but it is minimal. The selection of beers interesting..
google avatar

Jackie V.

Yelp
I really loved the dueling pianos night. It was very entertaining and a very good time. However there were very limited food options. There was only one food truck and a vending machine. However the blackberry cider and the pineapple cider was delicious! I'd definitely return.

Sharon D.

Yelp
Great beer selection. Beautiful view! Rotating food trucks and live music. What more do you need?
google avatar

Kat W.

Yelp
Love this hidden gem in Lakeland. Beer was good and they have ample outdoor seating under a tent with views of the lake. We sat at the bar and my only beef was the bartender truly seemed bothered when we wanted to order. I thought it was weird but maybe he was having an off day. It's a great halfway meeting point between Orlando and Tampa.
google avatar

Kelly B.

Yelp
Cute place, staff was friendly, I didn't stay long but I would go again for sure. Food truck outside if you are hungry.
google avatar

Ashleigh P.

Yelp
Went here for the first time during Swantoberfest and what an awesome experience! Delicious beer for a good price. We brought our toddler along and she enjoyed all the dogs and the live music.
google avatar

Lara T.

Yelp
Fun place to grab a beer in Lakeland. They have a great outdoor area under tents for live music, parties. Perfect for the cooler weather. They have a very nice tasting room as well with a long bar and tables inside. They are open 7 days a week and they advertise to have live music and food trucks daily. There are 30 beers on tap with 11 or 12 of them being Swan brewing beers. I tried the ipa which I'd give 4/5 stars. They are also family and pet friendly. Great addition to the downtown Lakeland area.
google avatar

Victoria S.

Yelp
Definitely our new favorite spot for drinks!! This place is awesome inside, and has an amazing beer selection. I'm not even a huge beer drinker, but I took my husband because he loves beer. The service was great, and the prices are really fair. You can get a tasting size (5 oz) of some of the beers for just $2.50. Some half pints are only $3.50. We got a flight of 4 beers (tasting sizes), one half-pint, and two pints for around $30. That's super affordable! My favorite beers were the Swan Bean Flicker (a blonde coconut & coffee beer), and the Two Brothers In the Flesh (sour prickly pear beer). The Lakeside Tangerine Wheat and the Swan Cob was pretty good too. The Swan Cob was really smooth and almost creamy. My husband's favorite was the new Swan Tropics Ale. As their name says, this is a brewery, and I was really impressed by the beers they produce. They also have some other local beers, so the selection is great. Go try it out!!
google avatar

Jennifer C.

Yelp
It's so nice to find a nice brewery in Lakeland when we are here visiting family. And the beers are great! Definitely try a Straight out of Lakeland for an easy drinking IPA and Bean Flicker for something unique and tasty!! We took home Crowlers to share. Spent the majority of our time chatting it up with the brewer- which made the whole visit even cooler! Great staff. Delicious beer. Fun environment. Definitely worth your visit
google avatar

Brad S.

Yelp
This is one of the most comfortable craft breweries I've yet experienced. The set up is just about perfect. Very nice indoor seating, and a bunch of outdoor seats and tables under a big tent. The list of brews is extensive. I tried a few IPAs and all were excellent. Food truck on site to soak it all up. Best of all, live music all day and night on weekends to keep you entertained. Worth a jaunt out to Lakeland, about 35 miles from Tampa.

Mike R.

Yelp
Great place to relax and enjoy the drinks and atmosphere. Bartenders were friendly and polite.
google avatar

Krista A.

Yelp
Happy Grand Opening! Enjoyed the local beer and vibe that is Swan Brewing. The beers are great. Classic IPAs, Blonde Ales, and interesting recipes make sure there is a beer for everyone. A nice selection of guest beers and ciders and, for the kids and non-beer folk local craft sodas. The gorgeous view of Lake Wire is just a bonus. The vibe is all Lakeland, come as you are. And it couldn't be better. Come have a pint and enjoy the day.
google avatar

Ashley C.

Yelp
Stopped by Swan while visiting my in-laws in Lakeland. My BIL had been to Swan before and liked the vibe so away we went. It happened to be their one year anniversary and even though we went early it was busy. The inside area was small IMO but the outside area was a decent size. There were swarms of gnats which was annoying but part of the territory of being outside. I did like that they had games for people to play while enjoying some beers and I also enjoyed the live music. Now onto the beers because that's what you really care about right?! The menu could be hard to see if it's extra crowded in there but I used Untappd to see what they had so I could get in line to order. My favorite was the pineapple hard cider but between myself and the other 5 people in my group I tried several different brews. If you're looking for an upbeat atmosphere with some good beer I'd stop by.

Yelp
My hubby Mike and I wanted to introduce my grandparents to craft beers while visiting them in Florida as well as check out how Floridians do craft beers. We found this Lakeland spot through the powers of Yelp. The theme of this brewery is...swans with some hipster flair. We did flights to be able to sample some of their beers. I enjoyed how they fid their red ale, very refreshing and easy drinking. My grandparents, who have never had craft beers, enjoyed what they had to offer. My grandpa, who says his beers of choice are Coors Light and O'Doul's, said he loved their lager #America!
