New bars, restaurants, and breweries opening in the Arts District | Eater Vegas

"I discovered Swan Dive is coming from Austin to the second floor of The Colorado at 1301 S. Main Street, where its 5,583-square-foot interior will be upgraded with a 3,952-square-foot outdoor viewing deck and a main bar area serving customers indoors and out with patio seating overlooking Main Street and Colorado Avenue." - Eater Staff

Austin’s Swan Dive to create a music venue and ‘elegant dive bar’ in the Arts District | Eater Vegas

"Slated for the second floor of The Colorado at 1301 S. Main Street, this Arts District music venue aims for an 'elegant dive bar' atmosphere guided by operator Harvey Graham, who brings a decade of experience booking national touring acts in Austin and runs other nightlife venues like Barbarella and Oddfellows. The plan features a 5,583-square-foot interior complemented by a 3,952-square-foot outdoor viewing deck, with a main bar serving both indoor and outdoor customers and patio seating that looks down on Main Street and Colorado Avenue. The interior is conceived as a 'vintage, dilapidated speakeasy' with a white-and-gray palette echoing Graham’s Texas operation and is expected to be popular for photography and video shoots. The venue intends to maintain long daily hours from 9 a.m. to 2 a.m.; submitted plans do not include a kitchen, and no estimated opening date has been announced." - Bradley Martin

Saw Legendary band Agent Orange recently. Packed house, nice ticket price, sound quite impressive but no surprise with these dudes! Drinks a bit steep, both doormen always cool, outside deck has a cool view.

A very much needed venue for smaller acts not affiliated with Ticketmaster. The 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱: Cozy vibe, super accessible and clean. The 𝗯𝗮𝗱: Entry for the event I went to was awfully slow, just one staff member scanning tickets. Don't know if the show started about 20 minutes late because of this. The 𝘂𝗴𝗹𝘆: Apparently it was cheaper to just pay the cover the day of if you didn't have a ticket. Not sure if the artists would see any percentage of that.

I went to Swan Dive for Emo Night. I ordered two Jack and Cokes from two different bartenders, and I got charged two different prices for the same drink. When I pointed it out to the bartender who rung me up the second time — who was a woman with long black hair, glasses with thick black frames, and tattoos — she was incredibly rude to me and gave me attitude during our whole interaction. She refused to do anything about it and doubled down on the higher price, even when I asked her to talk to the bartender who charged me the lower price and described to her what the other bartender looked like. Luckily another bartender, who had blonde hair and a mustache, overheard the conversation, asked me what was going on, and immediately offered to fix the situation. Unfortunately I was not able to get names of the bartenders (I think the person with blond hair’s name is Tim?), but thanks to him, we were able to get everything resolved. I have worked in customer service my entire working career, and I used to bartend too. I understand that mistakes happen, especially in a fast-paced environment with loud music. I even told the bartender who fixed my tab that I was willing to pay the difference for the drinks if I was charged in error and the correct price was actually the higher amount. What I don’t appreciate is how poorly I was treated by the female bartender when I pointed out the difference and how unprofessional and defensive she acted. That kind of behavior is absolutely unacceptable and needs to be checked. The only reason why I am not giving a one-star review was because of the other bartender’s professionalism and initiative. Needless to say, I won’t be coming back here.

Totally fun spot with lots of room for excellent vibes to be shared! I attended Gothica for the first time, will be coming back!

Was my first time checking out a show , came from Alaska just to see Agnostic Front and it did not disappoint. Friendly staff and was a very accommodating venue with a bar and smoking area . It’s Vegas ya know 😎

I saw Jukebox The Ghost here last night and it was a great gig but also a very cool venue. Loved the performance space upstairs with a huge indoor / outdoor bar at the back and big outdoor area with misters so you can enjoy the view of the Arts District, Strat, and Downtown. A great addition to the area and another great performance space for smaller bands. And at $25 for a ticket a bargain compared to many other venues. We will definitely be on the lookout for more shows here.

Google
Went on a house/techno night. Great tunes good vibes. It was a Sunday night and the room was half empty. Everyone was kinda hanging near the bar but still groups of people dancing. It’s only a few weeks old apparently. Kind of out of the way location so more of a local haunt but then again so is all of the arts district. Tasty cocktails but more on the expensive side. Out door balcony smoking area

Google
Big venue inside and out. They do have a Elevator access for those not able to take the stairs. It was a great show, see Local Entertainment BurlyPicks Regionals Hate to even complain about this in Vegas in the summer The venue was a little cold enough to wear a jacket or go outside to warm up. @bonez_n_gabby

Yelp
Killer view and such a fun bar! We could hear the emo music from the street and decided to wander in during our bar crawl in DTLV Arts District. They checked our IDs at the door and we were able to head upstairs, which was a lot bigger than I thought! They did have an inside dance area with the dj, but you did have to pay a $5 cover, which wasn't too bad. We decided to just hang outside on the second floor patio and enjoy the music and vibes out there. Plus, the view was spectacular! I loved this experience honestly. Such a fun bar. The bartenders were so nice too and the prices weren't bad at all. They have all different kind of themed nights and I loved that we happened to be there for the emo night. So fun! Definitely will be paying more attention to the lineup they have because it was so much fun! And you can't beat that view!!

Yelp
You can see STRAP from their terrace. It was nice to stay at the terrace. They charged $10 to get inside on Halloween night. I don't know if they charge always. This was my first time to visit here. The drink was ok. I didn't see anything special here.

Yelp
I have been to Swan Dive for dance club nights, festival shows, and more scaled down concerts. This place really knows how to host a show. The venue features one of the most unique seating and viewing experiences of any place in town. You can show ID and sit on the rooftop patio while listening to the show, or you can buy a ticket to go inside for a closer look. It's a great way to get some air or space if you need. The bar is accessible either way. The bartenders are friendly and quick to mix your drink. The views of the city from the patio are gorgeous. This is a great place for dance nights, casual drinks, or a show that rocks. I always enjoy coming here.

Yelp
I came here for a day party for "Distro" I noticed it wasn't advertised on this businesses website or social media page. However, for this to be "word of mouth" it was a great turn out of eclectic people and the bartenders did their thing ! I truly enjoyed the rooftop vibe, so I will most likely revisit this establishment.

Yelp
Came to this venue on a Saturday night for a friend's bday. I guess we were early because it was dead, but I guess it depends on the night and event. More people showed an hour or so later. It's a cool spot! Drinks are fairly reasonable and pretty much open space/dance floor with a bar and a nice outdoor patio. I would come again for a drink or another night to check it out!

Yelp
Stacey Cooper debut with The Hardway was so great on a hot hot night in Las Vegas. The interior as Swandive is conducive to a buzzy, energetic vibe. The huge wrap around terrace is nice for a breather outside. There were beautiful western views of the intense July sunset earlier on.

Yelp
Swan Dive is the Sister to oddfellows. And I believe a lot of the same bartenders. I honestly am really excited that they have been doing shows here! As a local I feel like downtown lacks a venue like Swan dive. Drinks are reasonable priced for the art district. I do believe there is always some kind of cover or if there is a show you have to have paid for a ticket.

Yelp
Only been here for specific artists playing, not general dancing. It's a nice venue for some of the indie artists I've seen. The dance floor is really open and the wall has an edge for your drinks. The lights were also fire. There's a nice large patio space with lots of seating if you get too hot inside. My only complaint is I wish you didn't have to ask to use the elevator. The security/ID check blocks it off so people think you can't use it and need to climb the stairway. However, we asked and they let us use it, but probably for security purposes they had to walk us over to it. I like the parking options around this area. Even on busy nights, you can usually find parking somewhere on the street or in a lot where it is just a few minutes walk to the venue. Lots of food in the area too.

Yelp
Their cocktail menu is a standout, featuring inventive drinks like the "Paper Swan" and "Lemon Balm Collins," made with fresh, bold ingredients. Craft beer and wine lovers will also find plenty to enjoy on the menu. This spacious bar also offers wrap around balcony views of Main Street, and hosts live music performances on their giant stage.

Yelp
Swan Dive is a hip place to chill. I came here for PrideStyle Wrestling and had a blast! The drinks are decently priced, and the service is prompt. The entertainment was also top notch. Will definitely be returning!

Yelp
had a great time at sextile concert! i went for my 21st and had so much fun, the crowd was cool and respectful and their energy was great. the venue is small but intimate. the lights were cool and it's very laid back which i liked. the sound quality was good i feel like the vocals could've been louder but i think they were having some mic issues after the bands swapped so if u go for a concert just keep that in mind, its not like the greatest quality but for the experience to see one of my fave bands it was awesome! Tickets were also priced well, seeing 3 bands for $25 is a good deal and i was front row touching the stage so it was great!

Anthony T.

Yelp
I really wanted to love this place. Great spot for a venue. Nice outdoor sitting area. But, first, you're not a Dive bar if your beers start at $7. Especially since there was a $25 cover to see the bands. Foremost, the sound system was terrible. We sat back by the bar. All we heard was muddy bass, snare drums, cymbals, and vocals that did not blend. During guitar solos, we could not hear the guitar. Totally ruined the night. Other bands we want to see are playing there in the future, but this was our first and last time. Other than that, the service was great.

Yelp
Swan Dive is the newest music venue that just opened up in Arts District. Located in The Colorado development, Swan Dive has a large stage/dance floor and a massive second floor balcony that provides great views of Main Street and the downtown area. We stopped by on Sunday night and the place was dead but there is a lot of potential once they get more bands (hopefully a lot of local ones). As of my visit (April 2024), they do have a rare weekend happy hour from 4pm-9pm on Saturdays/Sundays. The bar is just standard drinks, nothing special. Unfortunately there is no dedicated parking for the venue so you will have to hunt for spots just like everyone else.

Yelp
Nice place good ambiance to chill and dance. Had a good time chatting away and overlooking the city. You can go in and out to the patio bar and order some drinks while you're at it.

Yelp
The bartenders here are consistently bad. I've been back for a few events and each time I've seen the most amateur service. The last coked out guy tried to serve a dude who just walked up when there was multiple people waiting. My friend literally cut in to get his attention. Also, over serving drunk people should get this place shut down but I guess there are no rules on Wrestling nights. Sketchy as hell.

Yelp
Amazing concert, great time, and money raised for charity :) The space was big enough for everyone to fit comfortably

Yelp
Place is a cool music venue and drinks are yummy BUT....... the drinks are TINY & WEAK AF. I ordered about 10 spicy margaritas for $15 a piece and did not even catch a buzz and I am kind of a lightweight when it comes to alcohol, usually my drink max is 2-3. My friend ordered $140 worth of drinks and she did not have a buzz either so I know it wasn't just me. Neither of us had even ate dinner so after sucking down 10 margaritas one would think I would be a bit tipsy. I would I would come back here for a music venue but I would definitely NOT purchase any alcoholic beverages. We felt totally ripped off after a combination tab of $300 plus. They need to do better with the amount of alcohol in their beverages, they are totally short pouring their specialty cocktails and it is unacceptable.

Yelp
this place has a lot of potential- but definitely isn't there yet. i went yesterday with friends and although i understood it's a holiday weekend- it was barely 10pm and DEAD and they were charging a $15 cover. for a live band that was MID and what? of course we couldn't see any of this until we were in already. the decor was pretty cool and the drinks were your usual priced cocktails, made decently as well. service at the bar was good- and i did like that they had an indoor and outdoor but like i said, very up and coming still and would definitely not recommend for a fun night out until they become more popular or maybe change the music situation lol go somewhere else!

Yelp
dj from the night of 8/24-2/25 sucked :( good song choices but really weird mash ups and couldnt keep the energy going. left early but the bartenders service was nice !
