Swank Cocktail Bar

Went for opening night. Drinks were ok, there’s not a lot of seating or standing space unless you book a very pricey couch. Everyone that was waiting for a drink at the bar was pushed into the area my boyfriend and I were in . It’s has a nice ambiance for a nightcap or first date.

The previous bar was such a better bar. Decor, design, and vibe wise it succeeded what swank is and the new remodel. It’s presenting itself now as an upscale speakeasy/bottle service bar with the decor of 50 shades of grey. We came in without reservation and waited for reservations to cancel, which they did because the place was empty on a Friday night, red flag, but the hostess was polite and gave us a section. Drinks were pretty normal but pricing was higher. Seating is tight and you must be out of your mind to pay starting $600 for bottle service with nothing to show in an empty, tight seating atmosphere. Will not be coming back and don’t see this place lasting. Might as well turn it back into what was changed.

This new Cocktail bar is a neat place, but I feel they got kind of cheap in some areas and lacks sophistication. For example the bar top itself needs overhead lighting and barstools at the bar would be great. Also the site mentions a dress code, but it did not seem to be in place as there were guys having drinks wearing tank tops and gym shorts. Decent place to try, but no desire to go back.

Somewhat of a mix between a club? And a bar. The lounge/cocktail room itself has a great ambiance and the space is huge. Outside of the great host service, our experience at the place was short because despite the fact that we had reservations, it seemed like they had to make room for us. We had to wait to get seated and They threw together some benches (party of 6) for us in the middle of a two other groups. It wasn't crowded but it was a little odd to see them put together a configuration for us when we had reservations. After that no one really came by to check on us or get orders so after 10 minutes, we left. We hadn't the chance to order anything and it seemed like there was just more waiting in our future so we called it quits. I will say they did give us complimentary bubbly for the wait, but it was evident that on this busy Saturday night, in this new place, we'd just be waiting more.

I really liked the friendly greeting staff as we walked into the place but unfortunately overall it fell short. No DJ was playing and the layout was very awkward. Drinks were very mediocre. For the price you’re better off going to another cocktail bar.

It seems like they tried to combine a cocktail bar and nightclub and, in the process, lost the best features of both of those things. Drinks were good but nothing unique or special. Got all the right ingredients and attention to big items, but the wrong recipe and small details. In short, Austin has better places to spend your money.

Came after a great dinner at Capital Grille and although the ambiance and vibe walking in was great, a bartender was unfriendly and not responsive when I complimented her Cosmo for being best in Austin, giving stuck up a little (go off queen she too good for us.) the manager accepted my compliment for her. 2/5

We visited one evening and were underwhelmed. The drinks are fine but nothing at all special and as pricy as those that are special. Then, we quickly realized the whole bar was doing a speed dating event except us. May have been nice to notify us of that event when we made the reservation it is a nice ambience to have a drink-I just would say others offer more.

checked this new spot out this past Friday night, and had a wonderful time! super warm, cool staff here from the door guys to the bartenders. we had a table reserved around 8:30p and had prompt service via our cocktail waitresses the whole time (we stayed for around ~2 hours, give or take). definitely more of a cocktail lounge feel and flow versus a club. music is great, we vibed and sang basically the whole time! decor, furniture and aesthetic are stylish, plush, and a little ritzy. our group enjoyed several rounds of cocktails, and our standout favorite was the espresso martini with the roasted marshmallow adornment - nommmss! overall, Swank is a cool new spot to mix it up for grabbing some nicely crafted drinks!

Great environment, friendly and attentive wait staff and drinks were amazing. My wife and I will be going back soon and recommend this to anyone looking for an intimate setting.
