I drove hours for a biscuit… They only sell biscuits on Saturdays. The banana pudding was delicious and so was the salted chocolate chip cookies. All of the desserts looked delicious from the other side of the glass. Very clean establishment w/outdoor seating. Very pleasant worker bees. Just the type that I like. Good energy making good food. Will return next time on a Saturday. 😊

If you are ever near Summerville South Carolina, you need to make it your business to find your way to Swank Desserts!! The customer service is always amazing, and everything on the menu is so outlandishly delicious 😋 The banana pudding is everything!! The bananas are so fresh and the cookie crumbs are never soggy. I normally do not like whipped cream, but the cream on this pudding has a really great taste. I drive 45-50 minutes just to get this scrumptious treat and it is never disappointing!!

The young lady at the register was very friendly with helping new customers navigate their Swank Bakery experience. Entering the bakery the atmosphere was pleasant, clean and welcoming. Overall the taste wasn’t present in the items I purchased. However, family members of mine did get Macaroons and banana pudding which was better than the Strawberry Champagne Cake Snack. If you’re in the area give it a try, you might find something you like.

I am a Summerville local and came from TikTok videos and instagram posts. I’ve been wanting to try since I saw their Mother’s Day boxes announced. I finally was able to stop by today and I was highly disappointed to say the least. Me and my coworkers tried the 3 different cakes and they tasted like nothing. The birthday cake just tasted like fridge, the cookies and cream had absolutely no taste only the crumble on top had that old Oreo flavor, the red velvet was slightly better and it’s only cause of the frosting which had at least flavor to it. They were dry cakes as well. I’m sad cause I was really looking forward to trying this specially for $10 a cake 🥲

A friend of mine brought me a banana pudding from here and brought it to work…I will say it was the best banana pudding I’ve ever eaten! It had fresh bananas and you could tell a lot of care was taken in preparing it. A+++

Very cute bakery in downtown Summerville with multiple options to enjoy! The Biscoff chocolate chip cookie was so delicious, buttery and sweet. I’d have one twice a day if I wasn’t worried about health issues haha. The s’mores cookie is also amazing! It’s a melt in your mouth cookie with gooey marshmallow in the middle, and chocolate chunks throughout. Will definitely be back to try more!

So my coworker told me about this spot, and I started to follow them on social media. EVERYTHING they post looks devine! I finally got a chance to go, even though it was almost closing time. They had some macaroons left and the lemonade. I've never had macaroons, but man, oh man, they were good. It was like biting into a fluffy cloud of deliciousness. He lemonade was on point as well! It's a small establishment but packs a huge flavorful punch! The staff was very pleasant and seemed like they enjoyed what they were doing. I'll have to come backna catch them when they first open to see the variety of what they have to offer.

Is this place for real?! I haven't had such delicious pastries and cookies in a long time! Get here early because they sell out fast. The macaroons were so delicious and soft. Have a glass of milk with the cookies because they are huge! I wish I had come here soon because they are worth the trip to Summerville for a treat. The employees were so nice and helpful and there's seating at the business if you want to sit and relax.

Once again another shining review of this amazing shop! Desserts are their forté, but they even have savory options as well. Come quick because they sell out fast. Their macarons are top tier! And the cakes are a work of art. I love coming here for a delicious coffee or breakfast bite. My family can't get over how excellent this place is and how happy and welcoming it feels. It's bright, happy, and clean with upbeat music playing while you choose your dessert.

This place had a substantial selection of purely indulgent Southern sweets. Limiting myself was hard, but the things I picked and slowly ate were good choices; a cinnamon roll, a nutella caramel brownie, and a chocolate chip cookie. Drinks were being given away and people were sitting around enjoying their sweets. If you're wanting anything other than sugar, this place is not for you.

Service, desserts and ambiance were all amazing! This place is small but mighty. After taking my treats to my car and having a small taste I returned immediately to purchase more!!

A sweet spot sure to satisfy your cravings!! I loved the macaron flavors and cake/pastry display but settled for a coconut cream cake cup! I must of had an older cup because the cake tasted a bit dry but the frosting made up for it - very rich and sweet. Great local bakery for your pastry needs either for parties or just partaking in a stroll in historic Summerville!

Always great selections of desserts. Whenever I'm near the downtown area of Summerville and Swank is open I can't help myself, I have to go there. She always has a cool variety of macaron flavors. I run there when I see the chocolate chip cheesecake bar, or the brown sugar pecan car, which are 2 of my favorites. The Swank brownie is a regular on the menu and is so rich that I can take 2 bites and save the rest for another time. Her freshly made drinks, like passion fruit & thyme lemonade are so refreshing. Saturday mornings there are brunch items on the menu, and sometimes sell out quickly. The fried chicken & pimento cheese on a freshly made biscuit is delicious! Pepperoni & hot honey focaccia and brown butter cinnamon buns are a couple of the regular brunch items. Different seasonal items pop up on the menu, and holiday specials grab a lot of attention. Sometimes freshly made flavored ice cream is offered by the pint. The menu is typically posted on their social media the evening before or the morning of so you can plan out selections in advance and salivate from the pictures and videos.

My favorite dessert spot in Charleston. The Saturday brunches always have something tasty and the cookie butter latte is amazing. Best to go early for brunch they sell out fast and the line is usually out the door before they open.

I requested a variety of Swank treats for my birthday- my mom came home with cookies, macarons, brownies, a deconstructed cake and bread pudding. I loved the little sweets, but wasn't a fan of the frosting texture for the cake. This review is 100% tilted towards the macarons because they were absolutely mind blowing: large, tall and flavor combos were unique! They were just a complete level up from other stores on all aspects. I think Swank would be the perfect place to grab a treat and a drink to catch up with a friend or for a little date afternoon. I will def be back for macarons!

Great and friendly service by staff and we were greeted quickly upon entering. Very beautiful shop inside and out. We stopped by Swank Desserts on our way from Charleston and I am so happy we did. We ordered the Banana pudding which I LOVED, Salted Chocolate Chip Cookies, each of the Macarons and the Brown Butter Oatmeal Cream Pie. My husband said he enjoyed the Iced Horchata Latte. If we're in the area again this is a definite stop.

I've been eating at swank regularly and have never been disappointed! I love the cake snacks and banana pudding, but you really can't go wrong with anything they have!

All the sweets we tried here were fantastic! The shop is very cute too. I love the brick wall when you walk in. If I lived in Summerville, I would be here all the time. For anyone visiting, you have to come try Swank Desserts. The ube cake was a 10/10!

Was craving something sweet and my co-workers mentioned Swank. The girl at the counter recommended I try the S'mores bar and the Swank brownie. These were insane. So rich and sweet. I loved the caramel on the brownie. Will be back to try more!

Since they are calling for rain this afternoon I decided I would get up and get out to explore the scenes early this morning. I was hoping to go to one of the local farmers market, but was disappointed twice. Charleston farmers market decided to close due to the expected weather conditions and Summerville doesn't begin until April. So I decided to swing on by Swank Desserts after seeing all the deliciousness they were creating on their Instagram stories. I was pleasantly surprised that I was the first to arrive. This is unusual because most days there is a line all the way down the sidewalk, but I guess people are still moving slow due to Day light savings. Like I mentioned, I was first and I arrived around 9:20. Maybe 10 minutes before opening, there were about 15 other customers. They are known to have up to 50+ customers around this time. They are celebrating Macaron Day so I knew I would be getting a few of those. I was all set and went to order the chorizo + potato hand pie and was totally disappointed to hear that they only had the apple. I told the cashier that it was on today's menu and she politely explained that she was the reason why it was not available and humbly apologized. I was totally disappointed because I really was looking forward to having this as my breakfast. So I settled for the pepperoni + hot honey focaccia bread and it didn't disappoint. It is delicious! I'm glad I ordered two. They are definitely large in size but you will want to have two. I also ordered the Rose'+ Strawberry and Black pepper honey truffle macarons. You should definitely give them a try. I purchased the Apple hand pie and will feast on that later. Everything I've ever purchased from Swank it's always top notch. If you have not tried them out you are really missing out on a treat. You should definitely stop by one day and enjoy a little foodie self-care!

The caramel brownies are FIRE. When I visit my mom, I make a trip here just to bring some home. I will also try any seasonal macarons, though they have all been far too sweet for me. As you can see, I'm a die hard macaron fan- I jump right in and buy up whatever there is... but turns out, I'm a macaron purist. As such, I need to remember to always try one before buying 20 lol. IMO (as a macaron purist) the best macarons are more butter than sugar. Anyone who has had French Macarons knows what I'm talking about. Swank Macarons is a flavor explosion of SUUUUGARRR. Even the ones that I wouldn't expect to be sweet are REALLY sweet. Earl Grey Lavender - I expected floral but it's definitely sweet tea. Then there was the Yuzu- which I would expect it to be citrus-zesty, but it tasted just like a lemon drop candy. So, I really only like the caramel (I'm so boring). Oh well, I'll never stop trying new flavors because I'm ever mesmerized by bright colors and novelty flavors. The chew and the crunch is spot on and that's half the fun of a macaron anyway!

I got the doughnut bread pudding and I didn't like it at all. It looked really good but it was really hard even after I heated it up a little bit. Not very flavorful either. I was also surprised by how expensive everything was.

I LOVE Macarons!! I tried 3 at this location. They were good, but just that. I also ordered a slice of the bread pudding loaf and was quite disappointed to find fruit flies on my slice once home that afternoon, so I was never able to try it (threw it away). It is possible the bugs got into the box upon leaving the shop, but a box that closed better may have facilitated this not happening. Very disappointed, especially since I don't live that side of town and stopped in after an appointment in Summerville that day.

Bought 3 things. Didn't finish any of them because they were very bad.m tasting. Summerville needs better dessert places.

I didn't believe in magic until I came to swank desserts this morning. I arrived about 5 minutes after they opened on a Saturday morning. I got one of every cookie, a cinnamon roll, and the French onion soup focaccia bread as well as the cookie butter cold brew. The cookies are rich and massive. Crunchy outer corner and soft middles even after a few hours. The cold brew didn't make it to my car during my walk back. It was perfectly made. After a few hours I was ready to try the focaccia bread and heated it up briefly. HOW DID SHE DO IT?! My comfort food is French onion soup and i love making it on cold rainy days. She was able to put the taste of French onion soup thats been cooking all day and night into bread. The onions were perfect and bursting with flavor and the bread itself was soft and cheesy. I genuinely believe there's a cauldron back there. This place is what dreams are made of. I prefer it over BKED in nexton and can't wait to try everything else she puts out! 10/10 gold star high five belly rub thumbs up chefs kiss

I'm absolutely obsessed with this bakery! First off, I love how they make sure you know the difference between a macaron and a macaroon. They're two COMPLETELY different cookies, y'all! That being said, their macarons are delicious! I love their smoked caramel anything, too. The teal decor is cute. But y'all should check them out on one of their themed days! Harry Potter day, to be specific. If you go, you're sure to love whatever you choose!

I love the idea of this place... Super cute! We definitely need a place like this, so I was excited to try it. I got the red velvet cake in a cup. it was 10+ dollars so quite pricey. I ended up throwing half of it away as I felt that the cake was dry..too bad.

I visited Swank Desserts today because I was excited to support this small black owned business. As soon as I entered the location the young woman at the counter greeted me and asked if it was my first time visiting their shop. After explaining the pricing and answering my questions about the various menu items, I selected the Cookie Dough Cheese Cake. It was sliced into a bar and the crust tasted like a cross between the traditional gram cracker crust and a cookie, it was thick and delicious. The filling was flavorful with chocolate chips mixed in, and the portion size was generous. They had a small dessert case however everything in the case looked delicious and was nicely decorated. I enjoyed the food and the customer service, and I look forward to returning to try additional menu items.

I've shamelessly traveled here on several occasions for these delicious desserts, and I'm not ashamed to say it. Everything is good here, but I especially love the cookies and macarons. They offer brunch on Saturdays and it's amazing! The menu changes daily, so if you want something, I suggest you go that day and EARLY! This place literally sells out before closing time. Every time I go, the staff seems to be in a great mood and happy to help you decide on an item (or items). You can tell they've taken special care regarding presentation of the items and the bakery. Everything about it is simply beautiful. For a unique and luxe dessert experience, I definitely recommend this bakery. You won't regret it!! Plus, it's BLACK OWNED!

Amazing macaroons and delicious tubs of deconstructed cakes, too! We have been here several times now and haven't tried the cookies or sticky rolls, but they looked delicious as well! We got a lavender dark mocha drink this time, too, and it was super sweet, which a lot of people like. There was a long line at opening time on a Saturday, but no one by 11 AM and still plenty of products. Previously we've stopped in late in the day during the week and found limited options, so it seems like luck and timing.

Nothing like rushing into a place right before closing time - you know, when they're doing the final sweep and clean - and being met with a pleasant "Welcome to Swank Desserts" and a warm smile! I knew instantly I was in for a real treat. But I never expected what followed. After that warm welcome, my wife and I were treated to a Mimi Brownie and Hot Chocolate, AND invited to stay to enjoy them both. We obliged a short stay, which probably saved a few multi-vehicle accidents on the way home. Every bite of that brownie sent sweet sensations through my whole body, as if I were about to explode into a big mess of chocolate delight! Each sip of that specialty prepared hot chocolate (laced with salted caramel and whipped marshmallow topping) was like swallowing a mouthful of Heaven. I can't wait to enjoy the chocolate cookie moonpies I took home with me, and I have a sneaking suspicion I'll be making it to Summerville more often in the days and weeks to come.

I've been to Swank a few times now and they never disappoint. I've ordered macarons for a gift. Had lots of Swank brownies (the best!), taken chocolate chip cookie dough cheesecake home for breakfast, and picked up this awesome assortment of Thanksgiving themed goodies. Love all their creations. Easy to find location. Lots of parking in front and around the shop. Definitely recommend!!!

Full disclosure - I spent literally $45 here this past weekend. Do not enter unless your debit card is prepared for a workout! A friend of mine recently started working at Swank and since I am a fan of supporting local businesses AND supporting my friends, I made the trek to Summerville. I must have stood in front of the display for 10 minutes doing mental gymnastics, figuring out how I could talk myself into buying the entire store and fitting it in my medium-sized SUV. I ultimately ordered the breakfast sandwich special (black pepper & thyme buttermilk biscuit, fluffy egg, sausage, and pimento cheese) to eat while I visited with my friend, and I took home the following: 1. S'mores cookie 2. Peanut butter & Dulce de leche cookie 3. Vanilla & mixed berry cake bowl 4. Brioche cinnamon bun 5. Nutella stuffed chocolate chip cookie 6. Swank brownie 7. Champagne & strawberry macaron I split them up over the course of multiple days -- one cookie for dessert each day, the cinnamon bun for breakfast one day and the brownie another day, and bites of the cake bowl randomly throughout the day as a reward for getting my to-do list accomplished. The only way I can explain how much I loved everything was to tell you that I am actively trying to figure out how to make the 30+ minute drive to Swank and 30+ minutes back fit in my hour-long lunch break.

Unique and yummy sweets! This was a third visit. Very cute and welcoming vibes. Staff is friendly and informative, can tell they love what they do.

Do yourself a solid favor and get over to the shop ASAP. I've had orders from Swank before, when she was pre-order only. I was never disappointed. The cakes are absolutely beautiful and so so so so flavorful. The combinations of flavors she puts together are amazing. Also, the donuts are A+. AND THE BROWNIES. Worth every single calorie. I visited the new shop in Summerville during their soft opening. I had the chocolate cherry macaron and the Nutella stuffed cookie. HEAVEN. Both were so delicious and very fresh. I wanted to try everything that day. The staff was all very helpful and polite. They seemed so happy, which is great! Macarons are my favorite... I may end up there every week to taste new flavors she has!

Come early! They run out of food fast, which is a testament to how tasty their treats are. They come correct with the flavors - sweet, savory, tangy and in between. My favorite was the pimento chicken biscuit I had which I believe is only available on the weekends. It was sooo good!!! I also loved the cookie sandwhich. My mom and brother also ordered this passionfruit lemonade which I tried and it was also very good! I will definitely come back again when I'm in town.

Swank Dessert is one of my favorite local bakeries! I fell in love with the signature "Cherry Pop" Macarons!! I ordered several times before when she offers online orders. Imagine my excitement when Swank Desserts opened a new location in Summerville! No more driving to James Island. Sweetpea and I drove all the way from Moncks Corner for some fancy desserts ;-) The bakery is beautifully decorated. As the warm scent of fresh-baked goods intrigues your taste buds. I ordered an assortment of macarons. My personal favorite is Pumpkin Spice!! As I'm on my way home, I forget about the salted caramel Brownies and Nutella Stuffed cookie!!! Needless to say, I will be back for more sooner than later ;-)

Now that the bakery has opened I figured I should provide an update. I have tried lots of different menu items, and I'm happy to say that I loved them all. The bakery itself is so cute and clean. The decor is nice and the display has all kinds of goodies in it. Every time we've been here, we always receive wonderful service. The great service is the "icing on the cake." Lol My husband is head over heels for the Nutella chocolate chip cookie. He's so particular about his cookies, so I wasn't sure if he was going to like them. I only brought him 2. He fell in love with all that chocolate hazelnut goodness. So we've made many trips just for the cookies. Glad that they are part of the daily menu. I haven't tried the macaroons just yet but they are next on the list. We love to come here when the sweet tooth kicks in.

Swank's is a great place to enjoy delicious desserts. It's truly what our area has been missing. Staff (Ashliegh) are knowledgeable about every menu item and offer items that fit every palate. The music is great and maintains a lovely vibe. There's indoor and outdoor seating. The owner is such a sweetheart and very nice. Definitely give Swank's a try when you're in the area.

Just WOW! The service here was incredible! There were a few workers in there & everyone was a true delight! They were all willing to describe each item on the menu in great detail when we had questions. We got two lattes, an oatmeal cream pie, and two focaccia slices. The oatmeal cream pie is large and probably the best thing I have ever tasted! The atmosphere is upbeat, but also relaxed. It's extremely clean and bright. I will be back and can't wait to try more! Keep it up, Swank! You are doing everything RIGHT!

Swank is legit the best dessert place around. I've been going to this place since it opened (I think 2 years ago). I LOVE their macarons and many of their other desserts. I love the ladies that work there too. They recognize me when I come in and I just love that! Today I went and picked up their pint of banana pudding and the few spoonfuls I had were Ah-mazing and I'm a banana pudding snob! I also picked up (and tried a small sliver) their triple chocolate blondie and it was delicious. I picked up some macarons too that I know will be good. I've had their macs many times and they are the absolute best around. Danetra and Amanda are baking magicians!

Such a cute and classy spot! Outdoor and Indoor seating, it's in a great spot in Downtown Summerville next to the YMCA. Plenty of natural light, the staff here are so nice and efficient. The baked goods look and are delectable with something for sweet and savory lovers. The Marshmallow Hot Cocoa is a must and paired great with the brownie, strawberry cake cup, lemon bar & Chorizo potato hand pie. Already telling the friends about and I plan on coming back to Swank sooner rather than later!

Finally was able to get here after following them on IG. Young lady at the counter said her obligatory hi and then back to her task. Purchased 2 of each of the four macaron flavors available and paid for them myself. Customer service could've been much better. AFTER I had paid items admittedly my hubby joked and commented $4 a cookie in which she quite curtly responded yes they're $4 each and again returned back to task. I get it, as creatives we may take offense to criticism but I knew what I was walking into and never once asked about price since one I was paying and two I know how labor intensive these are to make. Maybe she was having a bad start to the day and my husband hit a nerve for which I am sorry... definitely won't bring him back. Honestly felt like she focused on the wrong person in which I was the paying customer. Unfortunately 1 of the macaron flavors were actually hard (the ube /which is my favorite flavor of anything) and the other 3 flavors I chose were cooked to perfection.

Swank deserts is in a great location next to Matt's burgers in downtown Summerville. You can load up on a meal, then finish it off right next door with some good sweets. We got the brownies and hot chocolate. The brownies were good, with a layer of fudge on top to really put you in sugar overload. The hot chocolate had carmel on the bottom, and a toasted marshmallow on top. Super rich and definitely satisfies your sweet tooth for a small amount of volume. A couple of tables are located outside, for some patio seating, and also right next to the Y, so you can work it off right after :D The barista was also super helpful and brought our food outside so as to help with COVID-19 protocols.

This place is absolutely darling! If you have a sweet tooth, it is sure to satisfy your craving. The desserts are rich, sweet, and as beautiful as they are tasty. The service is wonderful and the decor is classy, yet comfortable. My only complaint is that they don't serve water. For such a sweet place, they definitely need to provide more drinks! There is coffee, hot cocoa and what appears to be juices of some sort in a little mini fridge, but water is an absolute necessity for all businesses, especially a dessert shop! Everything else was so wonderful that I didn't let it take away a star. I do hope they fix that issue, though. I highly recommend this place!

Yummy! I came here for a Yelp event and had some hot chocolate and a brownie. I also bought a cookie sandwich. Everything was so delicious! I didn't even know this cute dessert shop was even here. The decor is so awesome and there are lots of tables inside and outside of the shop. I really love the colors in this place - it's so cheerful and inviting!

Absolute Dessert Perfection! My daughters frequent this cute little restaurant and from what I've tasted, I'm a customer for life! Due to the Coronavirus Quarantine, we are limited in our movements but to my delight and our convenience, we can order online or call for curbside pick up! My favorite are the French Macarons (all of them) , the Blondie Brownies, and the Passion Fruit & Thyme Lemonade. The Macarons come in a lovely Tiffany like box that you just don't want to part with. I have not tasted a single macaron that I didn't like. This little delight is a flavorful meringue cookie sandwiched together with creme filling. They are made with egg white and lots of expensive ground almonds for the slight crunch and chewiness making them worth every penny. When my daughter first told me about them, I thought she meant Macaroons like the coconut ones I've eaten many times so she had to SHOW me. The macarons were so beautiful that I don't want to bite into them. They were round and smooth on the outside, the middle chewy with a little crisp or crunch. They were so good that I felt a tear come down my cheek. I can feel Danetra's love with every bite. A few days later my daughter Jessika bribed me to babysit with a Blondie and an assortment of Macarons paired with a Passion Fruit & Thyme Lemonade to wash them down with. I thought I died and went to heaven. My Blondie was crispy and chewy in the center and it had the fluffiness of cake all I could taste was the wonderful brown sugar and the aromatic vanilla extract. DEELISH!!!! Growing up in Puerto Rico Passion fruit grows everywhere and I remember just picking them and eating them until my tummy hurt of my tongue got raw. LOL!! The Passion fruit lemonade is a heavenly mix of delicious fruit Sweet and Tangy with a slight tart hint. Cooling and Refreshing, it definitely will become my favorite go to drink this summer! This little Restaurant not only offers mouthwatering desserts but they also offer breakfast and lunch foods such as Fried Chicken biscuits with sausage gravy, Brioche bombs filled with prosciutto ham, sundried tomato, basil pesto and mozzarela cheese.
