The food - amazing and flavourful The service - attentive and they are very proud about the restaurant The ambience - Very thoughtful, pleasing and nice themes of festivals, family and music We are vegetarians and we had the sabudana vada for appetizer, misal pav for entree and basundi for dessert. All of them were flavourful. The basundi was not to my liking as it was more like kheer instead of having milk solids. The drinks we had Sol Kadhi and Piyush were amazing. Talking to the Chef, we found out that the Maharashtrian cuisine this restaurant boasts comes from 4 different regions of Maharashtra and the team has put together favorite items from these regions. It was very refreshing to know about the cuisine as well as the efforts put in to bring them out to people here. One odd thing was the two robots that were bringing the food to our table and a server served it to us. This was not in tune with the decor and also the waiters were avoiding and going around the robots. It seems like the robots help them a lot but I wasn't thrilled. There are so many more items to try here and I highly recommend this place.

Visited here for lunch. Very nice decor inside, with maharastrian artifacts. We ordered vada pav and sabudaana vada for appetizers. Both were very tasty. For main course, we ordered spicy!!! Chicken kollahpuri and baingan sabzi with jowar bhakri. Curries spicy and tasty. They also have Robot server. Service was excellent. Overall we had great experience.

Excellent food here, amazing taste from the starters, Kotimbari Vada, Vada pav was flavourful, soft yet crispy. Tawa Pulav was different (bit of masala) and very tasty. Tawa paneer and Dal fry almost felt like Dhaaba style. Overall great experience. Chai was a bit let down as probably it is already made and kept. Wish they could make fresh and give (that changes the game). Surely visit next time to try other good veg options here.

Came here for their misal. I really enjoyed the food at their Santa Clara location and had high expectations from this place. Unfortunately, they didn't live up to the mark. The misal wasn't served with onion/lemon and the curry that came with it seemed too diluted/watery. YMMV

The taste felt super authentic, and the staff were genuinely friendly. The ambiance perfectly complemented the experience, with decor that highlighted local culture. A must-visit for anyone craving for traditional flavors.

Authentic Maharashtrian flavors in San Ramon! We absolutely loved the food at Swaraj Maharashtrian (Indian) Cuisine. The dishes have that true taste of Maharashtra — flavorful, homely, and comforting. The bhakri was soft and perfectly made, just like how you’d get it back home. Every dish felt fresh and authentic. So glad to finally have a place that serves genuine Maharashtrian food in the Bay Area. Highly recommend to anyone craving real Indian regional flavors!

Delicious, Authentic Maharashtrian Cuisine!! This place truly delivers on authentic Maharashtrian flavors. The Vada Pav and Chicken Kheema are my personal favorites, while my kids absolutely love the Chicken Rajhans—it's like butter chicken, but even better! Today, there was a minor mix-up with our order, but the staff quickly and graciously resolved it by replacing the dish with a similar one at no extra cost. Great food, great service — highly recommend!
