This place is awesome! I love the eclectic, swanky interior that's great for any get together or special event. I also love the fact that they allow local pop-ups to operate out of their kitchen while providing their own food options too. I ordered from their featured pop-up, Banging Vegan Eats and left them a separate 5-star review. Great concept that helps other restaurants get their start! The drinks are great too! I order myself and another stranger who happened to be sharing a birthday with me a shot. They came in cute little tea cups! Never thought I'd feel sophisticated taking a shot. Great attention to detail!

Had a fabulous evening watching live music! Grumpy Bug was great! Love the decor which creates a unique vibe, amazing non alcoholic and alcoholic drink offerings and food from Fiddlers Fire.

One of my favorite bars in Charleston. I always have a great time. The rotating menus have never let me down and of course the sodas and mocktails are amazing. There’s always fun and unique events .

The homemade sodas are exceptional! The drinks are fantastic! The bartender remembered my allergy. I'm really happy Bangin Vegan Eats is here! What an amazing atmosphere too!

We showed up for the food, which is coming from Bangin Vegan Eats stretching their legs some days in a full kitchen instead of their usual truck. We're long-time fans of BVE, and their stationary menu has several of their classics with a few welcome additions that presumably take advantage of the venue's kitchen. It's early days for this kitchen change, but the food service is already on point: fast, hot and fresh food, seamless integration into ordering drinks at the bar. Definitely check out the drinks menu, as it has amazing-sounding options for sodas and mocktails and seltzers and cocktails. For our first visit we stuck to the food: a super creamy and lovely linguini alfredo with broccolinis, fried Ruben bombs that have me thinking they should have always existed forever (why have they not!? I'm so glad they do now), a slice of moist and rich chocolate strawberry cake for dessert, and the Yo Adrian cheesesteak that has always filled an amazing comfort food hole in our bellies for as long as BVE has been making it. The relatively recent switch to a house-made recipe for the chip steak is on great display here. If you don't require a vegan menu don't pass up the food, because I bet you're going to love something on this menu anyway.

Loved it here!!! As a non drinker, heaven. They have cocktails as well but equal amounts of mocktails. I went out with a group of friends that don't drink and we had a blast. We got soda flights and loved trying everything. The OG Mule and Citrus were my favorite. The flavors were complex and different - it didn't feel like you were drinking straight fruit juice like most mocktails. The whole place is decorated really cute and there's plenty of parking. Not rowdy, which I loved because we could all hear each other, but good vibes that it wasn't completely dead. Will definitely be back!!

This place is so cool. My boyfriend and I enjoyed some drinks as well as some delicious ramen. The bartenders were super polite and allowed us to taste a few things before we ordered our drinks. The ramen was delicious, although I could have eaten more. Our bowls were about halfway filled. Next time, I will order extra noodles. We also enjoyed two appetizers.

Absolutely love this spot!! Inspiring me to want a plant wall at my house. Cool ambiance with eclectic art & furniture. Vintage-ish vibes, amazing cocktails & the food… ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!!! We had coconut curry rice, chicken & pork Gyoza, Chicken Yakitori, & Szechuan pork belly & mushrooms!!

I honestly love this place! Such a fun vibe, great for a girls night, always yummy food and kind service. I love that there are fun options for those who don't drink or prefer to garden.

Love this place - great ambiance, delicious cocktails (both with booze and without), and they just opened up a vegan pop up in their kitchen! Begin vegan eats serves up some yummy food - salad is great and only $4. Their cocktail list is seasonal and has fun names, have never had a bad cocktail here. For dry January I got a house made soda with a NA ginger blueberry spirit and it was delicious! They also have fun events here like thrift shopping, bingo, tarot, and more. Great location for both west Ashley and James island folks. Bartenders are all great.

Met up with friends and fellow volunteers for a night you decompress a bit. The spot is charming and eclectic in decor. But, wanting to visit and catch up with friends? Not the spot...tooooo loud. Service was great, and choices of wine, beer, cocktails, and cocktails was varied, something for everyone!

A soda & cocktail garden with amazing food and live music? Yes please. It's open seating/seat yourself. There are couches and tables to the right and then bar seating and hightops on the left and in the back. We got there around 6:30pm on a Saturday and sat right now. A server greets you at your table and then you order drinks & food at the bar. At the time of my visit (Spring 2025), the food was provided by Laurel. Apparently they have rotating food menus. The food from Laurel was very delicious. My party of three ordered the following and had some leftover to take home: Spiced Fries, Fried Brussels, Croquetas, Octopus, Meatballs. I definitely recommend checking this placed out. It's awesome to see a bar promoting the non-alcoholic lifestyle.

Absolutely love this place. They have the greatest duration of dirty sodas and mocktails and it's absolutely gorgeous inside. I love that they have a rotating variety of events from trivia, drawing, drag and everything in between. Definitely a good one to follow on social for their upcoming events.

Sweatmans Garden is a fun place to grab a drink. The set up is a bit unusual- no real wait staff. Everyone orders at the bar. There is staff who will bring you order and clear your dishes. The room is eclectically decorated and the menu is also unusual. We had popcorn though next time I would try the ramen

Stopped in one evening after work for drinks with friends. The decor is so fun! It's a little funky and eclectic, but has a great vibe. They have happy hour specials, which is nice also. They have some small bites and seasonal drinks, but also had ramen offered, which was an unexpected surprise. The staff was very friendly and provided the option to sample one of the pre-made frozen drinks before I committed to it...which I did, because it was delicious. Everyone sampled a couple of drinks each and I have to say, they were some of the best cocktails I've had in the area recently. They were interesting, not watered down, and all very tasty. I will definitely be coming back in the future to sample more!

I waited entirely too long to pop into Sweatman's for a drink. Ended up coming to a free yoga sculpt class and pre-launch party for FlowCo and had to stay after for the vibes and try one of their drinks. I absolutely adored all the different options and didn't realize they serve alcohol as well as a slew of non-alcoholic choices. So many unique flavor combinations and I heard they are always offering something new. What a great hangout spot. Can't wait to bring a group back to yap and try some of the food!

I popped in for a Galentine's event where they had romance books, permanent jewelry, art, tarot reading, and more. Being my first time at Sweatman's I was pleasantly surprised. This place is.... And I can't believe I'm going to say this "a vibe"! The atmosphere is warm and inviting. There are plants EVERYWHERE that make it feel extra cozy. The eclectic decor and furniture bring it all home. I only interacted with a small portion of the staff but they were very nice. I'll def be coming back for some ramen. Their cocktails are amazing and their wine selection is delicious. 10/10 recommend.

One of the very few bars I've been to around here where I wasn't saying "not bad" or "yeah it's ok" to each and every cocktail on the list. My drinks were really good! They're not some watered down juice mixed with a drop of alcohol, but rather very interesting and complex in flavor. Had a very charming atmosphere with some intimate couch seating areas with charismatic decor. Whether alone or with friends, I'd say stop by if you want actually good cocktails.

We came here specifically for the fondue, but found out they are no longer doing any savory fondue, only sweet chocolate fondue. Sad day!!! The meatballs were delicious juicy and very plump! We couldn't leave without trying the fondue, which did come with a ton of items to dip in it and enough fondue for all three of us girls. The drink menu is is fully homemade soda. I got the root beer and it was delicious! You can add in spirits to make it an alcoholic drink as well. Even though we didn't stay for the dinner menu, the server let me know they serve Ramen after 4 PM. I'll definitely be back to try that.

I enjoyed the vibes here. We randomly came in on a full moon Thursday so there was all kinds of stuff going on in there. Cool cocktail options, friendly staff at the bar, and overall chill experience. I'd go back.

First visit in a few months, and I was disappointed. The menu has limited offerings for dinner. Basically, a small happy hour and then ramen. They have a nice variety of cocktail offerings but the food does not match and they need to offer more. The service was okay, but not great. The bartenders need to split up who they are helping so they don't continually ask the same clients the same questions. (Though this is not a bad problem too have-too helpful:)) love the atmosphere and set up, but there needs to be some organization and better food offering.

This was a charming spot to find at the end of the day. The place had quite a makeover from the previous business in the space. The plant wall was absolutely gorgeous and upon entering- the place was cozy and made me want to stay a while. They had a bar area then seating with comfortable sofas. It wasn't busy and the service was quick. We had the cheese fondue and chocolate fondue. They came in cute heart shaped dishes and a whole variety of things for dipping. The chocolate was my favorite! I would love to see some bananas and pound cake and cheesecake on the platter for dipping the next time! The cinnamon in the chocolate was incredible! Overall- very cozy spot to have great fondue! I will have to try the sodas when I return!

So so fun! I had no idea this little shop would be the cutest interior with the most delicious food and drink! The cocktails are all amazing, and the bartenders were so great at recommending and allowing us to taste test their home made sodas. We had some of the hummus while we waited for the ramen menu to be available at 5pm. Ramen was also so so good! I know it is an external company just using the space but definitely recommend both!

Been twice. First for fondu and the chocolate fondu with chips is a great idea but the small bag of chips weren't enough for the chocolate. The drink was good. Second trip was full moon night which must happen nightly. Band was not good and really loud. We had some drinks and my wife enjoyed the fortune teller but couldn't hear most of it due to the band. Looking forward to trying the Ramen . Hopefully quieter.

Funky space, great tapa-like bites that are delicious and the sodas are as funky as the space.

Went this weekend with family and had a wonderful evening! A ton of parking since only 2 spots in the center are open late. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We fit 5 comfortably in an area with a couch and chairs around a low coffee table. The vibes were immaculate and groovy. All of the snacks were super good - the onion dip was really good and the meat & cheese board had some excellent options on it. The cheese fondue was fine - lots of the dipping items didn't quite match up with the taste of the fondue, not sure we'd get it again. The dark chocolate fondue was so tasty and the dipping items were all great. The gin and tonic was really good and they had a great wine list! We'll be back for drinks and apps for sure!

Creative and Tasty cocktails, fun ambience, friendly and bartenders. I haven't tried the Ramen yet there but it looks delicious! I went there for an open mic night on a saturday and had a lot of fun.

Attended a pop up dj event last night. The bar staff was AMAZING. The drinks were superb and well-crafted. I didn't get to try the food but scathing that came out looked and smelled great lol

Beautiful interior! but the real stuff: soda reviews -the lime one is 10/10 key lime pie perfection -citrus one is 9/10 complex orangey flavor -tonic is strange but 9/10. like a savory soup if cold and carbonated. i liked it a lot -root beer is 2/10 imo un drinkable. tastes like barbecue sauce. maybe someone else gets it but i don't like it

Really cute spot as you're heading into James Island. It's a little bit tucked back behind some of the shops in the first plaza off of Wesley. My wife and I went in for a date night. Our primary target was the fondue however, we also heard great things about some of the cocktails that they can do there especially for me drinking non-alcoholic drinks. this place has options for everyone! We had the Ramen ordered the fondue as well as the popcorn. I'll be honest I didn't love the popcorn and the Ramen was not overly filling however, the pork and egg that were within it were out of this world. An amazing flavor, but might be more of a pre-dinner late afternoon snack type dish. The fondue came with a ton of different items for us to try assorted fruits and bakery items. My wife and I enjoyed it thoroughly. The big draw apart from the beautiful plants that were all over one of the walls were the fact these are handcrafted in house made sodas so these are original flavors that are made in house. I can't wait to go back for a cocktail date with friends just to be able to try some of the other wonderful sodas that they had. Service was a little bit slow, but one of the things that caused it be slow was the fact that the entire restaurant was packed as well as having a line of about 15 to 20 people waiting to order. This place was hopping. I totally get why too. such a fun spot. Can't wait to go again.

My family had a wonderful time visiting. We tried several of the sodas and loved them as well as we really enjoyed the noodle bowls. It was a great experience!

Cool new spot to hang out or try something new. They make their own sodas and you can order them plain, or with alcohol, or with a cannabis spirit. Something for everyone! Decor is cool and funny and sets the vibe. Food was all excellent, small bites and savory and sweet fondue options.

Delicious! Do you love nicely crafted cocktails!?! Do you love cheese and chocolate?!?! Then go, thank me later!

I haven't been to this place yet, but I can't wait to. Everything looks delicious and beautiful. I love that there are so many fun non-alcoholic drink options. Wanted to share some menu pics here, since I had to dig a little online to find them.

This place makes you feel like you are transported from the middle of a strip mall to an absolute green jungle oasis! The drinks are classy and creative and the bartenders are friendly and efficient. Such great decor and an awesome atmosphere!!

Best drinks I have EVER had. Truly I have never had a bad drink here, everything Danielle comes up with is incredible. The service is always amazing and everyone who works here is so nice and attentive. The inside is also stunning and the atmosphere is perfect. I recommend this place to everyone!

Loved it! I could eat the beer cheese fondue every night! The house made sodas were unique and delicious too. The owners were very nice and the space is cozy. Definitely planning to return!
