Swee Choon Tim Sum Restaurant - Tampines (Century Square)

Tried Swee Choon at Century Square and it feels quite different from the Jalan Besar outlet. The food was quite normal and didn’t really meet my expectations. The egg noodles were very plain, and the chee cheong fun was on the tougher side, not soft or silky enough. The chicken feet also wasn’t great. On the plus side, the carrot cake was pretty good, and the century egg porridge was not bad as well. Service-wise, I must say it was very good. The aunties and uncles were super friendly and welcoming, which made the experience more pleasant. Overall, food was average, but the good service helped balance things out.

One of my favorite dim sum place! Love the salted egg yolk bao, but my personal favorite is their mee sua kueh & tofu bomb, not something I can easily find in other places, love the crispness on the outside and soft on the inside of the mee sua kueh and tofu bomb, and love the surprising spiciness from the chili hidden inside the tofu bomb. I always bought these to-go whenever I’m at Century Square, appreciate the takeaway counter here. I always either bought takeouts or delivery, but next time will definitely try to dine in to try their main dishes as well. Recommended!

Very yummy food, recommend the mee sua kueh (crispy and very interesting), pork chop fried rice (strong wok hei), beef brisket noodle (flavourful)! The mango pomelo sago dessert at $2.90 with min $10 spend, is nice too. There's also weekday saver sets from $5, great value for money 👍

Customer service was very horrible. I wanted to pay at the counter and he insisted that I pay online. I told him I wanted to pay using shopback and he keep telling me to pay online. How do you expect me to pay online when online don't have shopback? He just went back and lean against the wall lazily. The cashier was also rude and talk back to us. When we ask the guy why his attitude was bad, he suddenly raised his voice. We said we would record him if he talk like this, but he didn't stop. When others ask him to go inside the cashier, he said" why must i go in, I didn't do anything wrong. Why must I go in, I don't want I don't want" Not only was the customer service bad, the food was terrible too. The egg noodles taste so plain and the chang fen taste extremely salty and sweet. $5.90 weekday saver meal is a very good deal! Love all their french toasts and the HK milk tea is good and thick. Staff are also very polite and quick to bus the tables.

Prawn paste carrot cake is quite nice and the french toast hit the spot. But the fried beancurd prawn is a tad too oily. They should have drenched the oil a bit more before they serve it. Photo shown is the oil at the bottom when it was just served. Cant imagine the amount of oil at the bottom if i was to leave it on the plate for a while more.

Dining space is limited so need to wait for a table at least 30 mins... Dim sum is average but I would recommend the following: 1. Braised chicken feet - flavourful 2.
