The lunch special is great. Chicken salad sandwich is perfection! Has the right amount of sauce in each bite has crunch with celery, a little bit of sweetness with cranberry, a little bit of kick with Dijon and the perfect amount of mayonnaise and chicken. Loved it and on excellent bread. Great service too! I parked about two short blocks away but it was an easy walk and worth it.

Amazing, friendly staff and a welcoming owner. Street parking is available. They offer a great assortment of tasty treats — definitely worth a stop! Support a local business; you’ll be glad you did.

I discovered Sweet and Salty through the Too Good To Go app, and I was so pleasantly surprised that I felt compelled to write this review, which is something I haven’t done in over a year. That’s how much they deserve the praise. I love a thicker cookie that’s soft in the middle, and Sweet and Salty absolutely nails it. Every cookie I’ve tried so far has been fantastic. Since the Too Good To Go bags are random, I haven’t sampled the whole lineup, but I’ve been impressed every time. My personal favorites are the peanut butter and sugar cookies. Simple classics done perfectly, but they also offer unique, creative flavors if that’s more your style. The shop itself is small and unassuming, which makes it quick and easy to pop in and out. But don’t let its size fool you, this place is a standout in a city that’s overflowing with cookie options, many of which don’t measure up. My only problem with this place is that I am trying to take it easy on desserts, and now Sweet and Salty is going to make that very difficult for me. I truly hope Sweet and Salty sticks around for years to come, because they’ve earned their spot as one of Portland’s cookie gems. If you’re a cookie lover, I can’t recommend them enough.

I just noticed this place while driving around the neighborhood looking for a bakery, so I spontaneously popped in to see what they offer. They have a good selection of treats, mostly typical bakery offerings such as cupcakes, cookies, and bars. However, they also have some breakfast and light lunch options like wraps and sandwiches. All of these come at reasonable prices with bundle deals. They currently have a little less in terms of flavors than a traditional bakery might have, but I'm pleasantly surprised by the quality of the cupcakes and cookies, as well as having some fairly creative and fun flavors like the root beer float cupcake. I spoke with the male owner who was really nice and seemed excited about the place, which added to the positive atmosphere. It's well-organized and clean. Location seemed a bit odd to me, but it's great that they're in a block that doesn't have much other food in it. I read an article about them online saying that they're working to offer Southeast Asian treats, to which I look forward. There's a lot of potential here and I'm sure it will grow. I'll be coming back.

What a lovely little find in Portland. The owner was so friendly and took the time to tell me all about her wonderful goodies. I opted for the cookie deal where I got 6 cookies for the price of 5. Oh my goodness were they delicious! My favorite was a ginger cookie. It was soft and moist and full of ginger flavor. I definitely will be making a second trip before my adventures in Portland come to an end!

Stopped in today because a sign advertising breakfast sandwiches drew me in. Was surprised at all the goodies this place has to offer. Deliciously soft, giant cookies, cupcakes, dipped pretzels, baked breakfast goodies, both sweet and savory, plus a small variety of grab and go lunch items like chicken salad, tuna salad, and egg salad. The owner was incredibly kind. I will be back!

This is easily the best “I’m gonna treat myself” place in the greater Portland area. Every cookie I’ve tried has been the best version of that cookie I’ve had. The s’mores cereal bar is top notch, nice and think with a great amount of marshmallow and chocolate. Don’t even get me started on the dipped nutter butters, in white chocolate they are heavenly. Now on to the owners, I got the pleasure of chatting with the nice young lady who started the place, she even gave me a free cupcake for my birthday which was incredibly moist as far as cakes go and a really great frosting. This place is higher than a 10/10 truly a place you must stop if you want something tasty for yourself or a loved one.

Yelp
What a surprise! Winding my way towards NE Sandy, the scent of fresh baked goods caught my attention and drew me into this recently opened sweet shop. Inside the mint green walls and sunlight make for a charming space. The owner is so friendly and welcoming, and the baked treats are homemade, the scent filling the space. They have a variety of freshly baked cookies - the huge size - with various mix-ins and toppings, making mashups of your favorite cookie and candy combos. Chocolate chip with M&Ms, chocolate with Reeses Pieces. Chocolate chip with sea salt, chocolate with salted caramel, cookies and cream with Oreos to name a few. There are a few varieties of cupcakes - get the s'more! They even have even ice cream. If you anre in the mood for something savory, they have a few breakfast sandwiches until noon. I went with the egg, bacon and cheese on an English Muffin, always a calorie splurge for me. Tuna, egg or chicken salad sandwiches or cups are available for lunch. Located in an area where there isn't walk in traffic or other shops, or even much street traffic since it's a block off of NE Sandy, I hope word gets out to help them build a clientele.

Yelp
The place.... Kinda of shady... but not too shady. Still cute! "I might take a kid here." But very nice service! Cinnamon toast crunch cookie - 6/10 Flavor was good but there was weird cereal pieces in there (no hate) but very chewy. (Uncomfortable, disturbing chewy) Salted Carmel chocolate cookie - 9/10 Kinda of fucks. Rich. Yummy. Would smash. Delightful chewy (better than the last one) S'mores cookie - 7.5/10 Solid cookie. Texture - spectacular *star* But just a chocolate cookie with some marshmallow on it. Nothing too special about it. Overall if I was ever in need of a cookie and I was in the area, I would show up. PARKING SUCKS HERE! EVERYONE WATCHED ME STRUGGLE TO PARK!!!!! #HateCrimed ‍

Yelp
So my wife and I went over and stumbled on sweet and salty PDX. Both hovering and Elbe couldn't have been nicer. We got some sniky snacks and all of them were fantastic. I have to say the chicken salad sandwich was one of the best chicken salads I've ever had. It's got a little cranberry for sweet and then some pepper or something hot for a little bit of heat but nothing crazy it's all perfectly balanced on a really good white bread. I can't recommend it enough. My wife got the egg salad and said it was just as fantastic. We will be back for sure

Yelp
This is the place to come for tasty creative treats. The owners are legit, but not snooty. But are actually friendly that make you feel welcome the minute you walk in the door. This is a grab and go place, as there is no seating. What's there is amazing though. They have a great variety of baked treats and savory sandwiches too. Remember the saying don't judge a book by its cover when passing by this place. You'll be pleased.

Yelp
Amazing place to get your baked goods and treats. The cookies, savory pastries (cheesy morning bun) and other items are great. Even the chocolate covered pretzels which you wouldn't think much of are really tasty. The owners are also super friendly and inviting. I come here every time I visit PDX. I accidentally came on a Monday when they were closed so I went down the street the hermanos bakery but it just wasn't the same. Going to make another trip down there so I can stock up!

Yelp
I decided to pop in Sweet & Salty after seeing their grand opening sign while on my to shop within the Central Eastside. It is a beautiful and colorful little storefront in the making, and for their grand opening they are offering buy one get one. The owners Sweet & Salty PDX were very excited to be opening the storefront and serve the neighborhood some sweet treats!

Yelp
Try the homemade pop-tarts! Delicious! Great service with a wonderful owner. Also got chocolate covered nutter butters, cookie samples, and chocolate covered marshmallows - all worth a try!
