Sweet Auburn Brunch

Loved this spot! Great vibes. Good music. Excellent service! The chicken and waffles was AMAZING! Also really loved the crab cakes, but next time will get them with grits instead of potatoes. The potatoes were a bit limp and a too greasy for my taste. I would have preferred the egg be medium well done instead of cooked hard, and it needed a sauce to pair with the English muffin. However I just asked for extra sauce and that was sufficient. Again, the crab cakes were delicious so next time maybe I’ll just get them with grits because they were very thick, tasty, and filling 👌🏼 We very much enjoyed our experience here!

Made reservations for 1:00, Saturday, for two. Arrived 20 minutes early and was seated immediately. At the time of seating there were not many patrons there but they were flowing in sporadically. Our food came in a timely manner. My friend and I weren’t able to eat our main meals beyond the appetizer sampler. We were full from sharing that along with an order of salmon bites. Highly recommend having the salmon bites. The Thai chili dipping sauce has a little kick to it so be cautious if you’re not into a bit of spice. The grits with the Maui Grits Bowl were creamy and delicious, from the small taste I took from it. We did not order any alcoholic beverages. The food was amazing!! I would definitely return again soon. As we were leaving a birthday party and a family reunion party was entering. The only recommendation I would give this establishment is placing a ramp where the small stepping spaces are. The reunion party had a wheelchair bound person and had to be carefully lowered down the small step.

Truly delicious brunch, I got the chicken and waffles. The wings were crispy like you’ve never seen, flavor was out of this world. Drinks were strong and delicious. Salad and home fries were yummy too. Staff were attentive & friendly. Restaurant snd bathrooms were clean with a laid back boujee atmosphere.

Overall good place, not crowded at 3-4:30pm.. to me I will call it an upscale hold n da wall. But the food...OMG. com...the fried salmon bites..yes, yes...!! The Maui Grits Bowl was more than I could finish.. I could ear crayfish or shrimp so she put extra sausages and added chicken...my friend had catfish and grits...it was good too...

We were really looking forward to trying Sweet Auburn Brunch after seeing so many great reviews on TikTok. When we arrived, we noticed right away that the atmosphere wasn’t the best — the restaurant could have been cleaner, as we saw trash and food under the tables and the floors looked a bit messy. It wasn’t very busy when we got there, so we decided it might just be an off day for the staff. We didn’t let that stop us from trying the food since we were excited to see what all the hype was about. We started with the fried salmon bites, which unfortunately lacked seasoning. My son ordered the chicken and waffles — he really enjoyed the waffles, but the fried chicken could’ve used more flavor as well. My husband ordered the fried catfish with grits and breakfast potatoes. The potatoes were well seasoned and delicious, and the grits were cooked nicely, but the catfish itself was bland. I ordered the salmon croissant BLT, which came out about 15–20 minutes after my husband’s food. When it finally arrived, it was cold, as if it had been sitting for a while. Our waitress wasn’t very attentive during the meal; although she tried to make up for it later getting the manager, by that time my husband was ready to go. Overall, we really wanted to love this place because of the great online reviews, but our experience just didn’t live up to the expectations. Hopefully, it was simply an off day for the restaurant, but this visit wasn’t what we anticipated.

For a place that just opened in April I gave 3 stars had reservations for 3 at 4pm, seated immediately service was subpar no place settings were provided even after bringing out 1st appetizer, one item requested they didn’t have (corn ribs and they subbed it on the $30 appetizer sampler with light fried green tomatoes) , salmon bites were not fresh had a pungent fishy flavor such as found with old fish, wings were large and had feathers attached, drinks whenever received (25 minutes after ordering ) were good but a restaurant containing 20 people including staff should have a faster turn around service wise. Menu including sides could be better they don’t have ketchup for the fries and the sever stated he told the cook yesterday but I guess nobody bothered to stop and pick some up. Not worth the $286.00 paid and this was a first and only visit.

The service, the food, the drinks were EXCEPTIONAL!!! I must say that I truly enjoyed the start of my Mother’s Day. The restaurant was packed and the servers were busy. The host/management even took time to make sure everything was going well. 10/10

5/5 came ok my lunch break. You definitely can't pass up happy hour yall! The price is right and the food is swingin! Like beyond my expectations. On to my second drink, speaks for itself. Thank you Sweet Auburn Brunch for a phenomenal experience! I dine in but also took out, call me greedy.. it was delicious 😋
